Solid choice for hot, potentially spicy ramen that fills your belly and leaves you completely satisfied. Just wish they had more seating!

Food is always incredible. Plenty of vegan options, with the best tofu I've ever had at a restaurant. You can truly tell there is a passion for the craft.

Spicy Negi is a go to (ps, add Bok choy!) and the vampire slayer is a seasonal killer.

The growth crafty has seen in the past couple years is so well deserved - Launching in Sobeys and Longos with the new frozen bowl and the new location in Toronto. I hope your appearance at CHFA helps you boom even further.

Super delicious Ramen in a great little place downtown. We dined in. Not much space at the bar but probably worth the wait instead of take out.

My daughter is a Guelph student and I popped over to see her for a late lunch after an exam. I had come across Crafty Ramen on instagram earlier this month and wanted to check it out. SO TASTY! The broth was perfect. The noodles tasty. Interesting choices.

It’s a small cozy shop, really just counter seating. We were there mid afternoon and it was hopping (lots of take out orders). It was fun to watch the food being prepared. I gave it a 5 for atmosphere because it was the right atmosphere for the experience.

Try the local craft cider from Revel when you are there.

Easy street parking too.

I have eaten a lot of ramen - including IN Japan (and I am heading back there in a few days). I highly recommend.

Came on a weekend afternoon 3pm, still reasonably busy. Took the kitchen quite awhile to get our 4 ramen dishes made. I tried the Big City Smoke - nice fatty piece of pork that they sear with a blow torch, ramen itself was just ok, but the soup base was way too thick to the point where I just wanted to add more hot water to dilute it down a bit to make it more palatable. I didn't really sense much "smoke" to it.

My wife had the Dragon's Breathe, but it really wasn't that spicy enough.

Service was fine but not enough clean glasses for us to drink water from.

Overall just ok ramen, but keep in mind our standard is set quite high after returning from a trip to Japan 6 months ago.

2023,5 years later and the food is still superior here! They no longer have the Beef Cheeks (please come back!) but they have and are constantly adding new additions to their menu! The Fries are a Mean go to!
“CR” has been on my radar for sometime now and I’ve just recently got some takeout so the verdict is in. DeliCiOUs! Great menu selection. I tried the Korean Fried Beef Cheeks (pics included) and the Spicy Negi Chicken both of which were incredibly tasty and spiced just right. I will definitely go back to try some of there other offerings and hopefully get a chance to sit in and eat as the restaurant itself is quite charming and had a very welcoming environment!

Feels like a well kept secret. Eating at the bar lends it that street food feeling. Broths are on point, and everyone loves a marinade jammy egg!

Visited Saturday evening for dine in, around 7pm. Ordered our food and sat at the bar. A group of 3 came in a few mins later and as they were ordering they were told it would be a 30 minute wait as it was busy. Okay, maybe we just missed the rush.

Maybe 15 minutes later another group of 3 arrived and ordered for dine in and sat at the bar.

This is where it went downhill! From roughly 7: 15pm until 7: 55pm (when we got our ramen) there were 8 people sitting at the bar, with no food watching the staff prep food for take out orders only. Very frustrating to watch this.

At no point were we given an update or an apology for the long wait, we had to ask one of the chefs for an estimate and he told us 15 minutes. We received our food around 15/20 minutes later. This was just under and hour after we had put in our order. The group that ordered after us received their food first.

While in the restaurant, a gentleman came in for pick up, he was told it would be another 15 mins, he had the option to wait or he could cancel his order according to the lady behind the counter (I believe she referred to herself as the manager). He said he would wait.

About 20 mins later he asked for an update on his order and he was told it would be another 15 mins, the lady again told him he could cancel the order if he didn’t want to wait. When he asked her to ask the chefs for an accurate estimate for his food she refused! Bizarre behaviour from a manager! At this point we had finished our meal and left, I hope he got his order!

Overall, a very frustrating and strange experience, staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of take out orders, there seemed to be no clear direction of how to deal with take out orders or dine in for that matter! Take out was definitely the priority it seemed.

It wasn’t all negative, when the food did arrive it was fantastic, nice portions and very tasty. The restaurant itself was very clean.

After seeing the reviews, I thought it would be a nice place to stop and eat.

Ramen tasted bad, the pork tasted off. Nice little spot, shame about the food.

One of the members of staff wasn't particularly nice to the other, so it was a little awkward.

This is the best Ramen shop in all of Guelph! Sitting at the ramen bar and watching the chefs put everything together is such a wonderful experience!

All of their soups are incredible and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Small portions. They always mess up small modifications we request. Overpriced compared to their competitors offering ramen.

Always amazing. In any weather Ontario throws at us, Crafty Ramen is consistently a good decision.

Really disappointed with the drop in quality over the last year:
I normally get the Spicy Negi with chicken, lately the mushroom have been less plump and juicy, the chicken and noodles seem like they've been sitting cooked in the fridge for awhile, even when you dine in the broth isn't hot enough to soften the sun-dried tomatoes like it used to.

I understand these sacrifices are likely made to help your staff keep up with the large number of takeout orders but as a long time customer I find myself dismissing the idea of returning every week.

The food is fantastic, prep is relatively fast, orders are kept organized, workers are friendly and efficient.

First of I want to say this is a good spot to get ramen in Guelph. I’ve dined in and had take out a number of times and all have been good. Last night my partner and I decided to dine in. I’ve never experienced bad customer service here before, and never saw someone else experience it until yesterday. My past experiences were always pleasant. I can see everyone is busy and it’s probably been a long day… but that’s not an excuse to be rude, there are better ways to handle a situation. I let it go and felt empathetic towards the other customer. When the ramen came out, my partner and I agreed that the ramen we often order (Gryphon) lacked. We know this place gets super busy, but the consistency and customer service was never off!

Ordered online through their home delivery system. The packaging was awesome! Everything arrived on time and was fresh. The notifications and updates were cool. The instructions were easy to follow and delicious food was ready in minutes. Loved it!

This is by far the BEST ramen experience I have ever had. I was told everything was made right there in their kitchen. I am also vegan, so I cannot believe the level of quality they had-and how delicious it was. I don't even live in guelph, but definitely going back for some noodles soon.

We've newly discovered Crafty Ramen based on recommendation from a friend. The first time we ordered (delivery Skip The Dishes) it was delicious and perfect. This time I ordered through Door Dash for delivery. The restaurant was only available for delivery 2-330pm then after 8, so I got it delivered early with raw noodles on the side with the intention of heating the broth back up at dinner time. When I opened the bag both the ramen noodles were missing, extremely disappointing. I called the restaurant and was told to go through Door Dash to get a refund or can come pick up the noodles myself. The staff member was very polite but it did not solve my problem of not having ramen noodles to go in my ramen. We unfortunately had to use Mr Noodles in lieu and feel a bit hesitant to order again in case this happens. Unfortunately I work all day and have young kids that need to be picked up right at the end of the workday so am unable to pick up dinner at a restaurant so we choose delivery. Door Dash did fully refund me but still was disappointing.

The ramen is slightly above average, but not worth the insanely long wait times for your food. Also the staff (with a couple exceptions) can be quite rude and dismissive.

There's better ramen and better service out there.

White people work there primarly and i still liked it and im toronto i ordered the tokyo buisness man and the let me take the ACTUAL bowl home kinton doesnt know but they do but theres is made of plastic that is not as good in comparrison to their takeout which is actually beautiful.

I'm a big fan of instant Ramen, this is not instant ramen, this is an elevated world of beautiful flavors and texture. I ordered the S&V Edamame, Pork Gyoza, Fried Brussel sprouts and the Pork Kaizen Warrior, everything was amazing! I couldn't believe how good the Brussel sprouts were and the duck broth is killer good.

I also want to mention something else, I had been here before, I ordered take at the counter. I witnessed the quirky and enjoyable nature of the staff and one thing that really stood out, a new hire was been trained and I listened to the passion and care that goes into everything that makes each order special, the person training really took pride in what they do there and that really stuck with me

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Guelph! I've had the Tokyo Salary Man w Tofu, the Spicy Negi w Tofu, and Vegan Tofu Mapo, and been impressed every time! The staff are super friendly and the prices are reasonable for the large portions that you get. They have a small but cute patio and their take-out set up is very convenient, as they serve the broth separately to add once you get home, so that nothing goes soggy during transport. Love it here and can't wait to return!

Extremely interesting flavor, I had the NORTHERN WARMER that has Pork chashu, chili miso butter, roasted corn, cabbage, carrot, menma, and house-made noodles in our chicken broth with miso tare. The base broth was rich the chard corn added a depth to this broth. While with addition of the bamboo adds a nice pop of vinegary goodness in bites. The gyoza dumplings (pork) where made perfectly and the sauce complemented them without over powering there flavor. I drove 1hr30min and will do it again

Ordered salary man ramen and it was an authentic experience. The broth was a proper clear and only slighty cloudy due to the tare. The noodles were fresh with proper Al dente texture

Had an excellent bowl of Spicy Negi on their patio. Fit perfectly with the slightly cool air and light mist. The noodles were bouncy, the soup spicy, a fantastic dinner with a few friends. Had the karaage as an appetizer and it was crunchy, flavorful, and came with a nice spicy mayo dip.

Ramen was alright! I remember trying this place when they first opened and remembered it being very salty and didnt go back. I decided to try it again and got the kaizen warrior pork and gyoza. It was good but again, reaaallly salty. I did get take out so i did add 1 cup of heated milk to it and it ended up being fine. Definitely prefer going to other ramen places in Guelph/Waterloo

It's ok. Nothing mind blowing. The cold bowls are good. Some of the hot bowls with broth are incredibly salty. Hard to eat. Overall experience is mediocre. It's worth trying.

The food was pretty decent. A couple things to note the noodles are controversial, although I was fine with it many will find it too thin and soft. The ramen broth had too much flavour and was inedible. It was much too salty and sour. Aside from that I would prefer the Gyoza with a bit more flavour it just tasted like it was missing something. The toppings were definetly the best part. Otherwise it tasted great.

I've gotten take-out three times, and had the meat-lovers ramen each time. My sister had the Korean ramen the first time and it was too spicy. Civil Servant was a better ramen for her. The meat in the meat-lovers is plentiful, varied, and delicious! Each had a unique flavour. Highly recommended.

Crafty Ramen is so delicious. We order very regularly from them, mixing it up each time. Favourites - Northern Warmer and Seoul Food. Definitely add the marinated egg. Gyoza is worth the treat.

In fact, we have just jumped on board with their subscription box - can't wait for next week's first arrival.

Finally got to try Crafty after dying to try it for so long. I LOVE Ramen but my partner isn't crazy about it so we usually will go other places with other options if he doesn't specifically want ramen. BUT I think we may have converted him! He loved it! I also loved it obviously and cannot wait to try their other options. Also really appreciate the way they do takeout.very easy to set up at home and it was super quick easy pick up.

Amazing food! I dream of this ramen. The ingredients are fresh and the proportions and flavours are just right. Awesome atmosphere inside (check out the washrooms).

Great to dine-in or for take-out.

Crafty Ramen is one of our all-time favourite restaurants. The food is amazing and so much care is taken in preparing it well and consistently. We love the vegan options and available modifications - Especially the Tokyo Salary Man!

I've been going here for a couple of year. Its fantastic! Its one of those places that I couldn't wait to revisit when lock down ended.

The best ramen place outside of Toronto! A quite comparable experience to Momofuku!

My only complaint is, their online ordering should be a bit more flexible. You can add things to your order but they won’t let you remove anything or substitute.

This place is surely one of the coolest place to eat in the region. Every time I come to this place I am greatly glad. They preserve their high standard service and the topmost level of food they serve. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

I like this place very much.theres a great ambiance. The cuisine is great.the service is powerful and the personel is trained. The pay is fair.deeply recommend.

I LOVE Crafty. This is hands down one of my go-to spots. They have become very busy with online orders which has made it harder to order inside. Management was very responsive and helpful when I voiced frustration and gave me some ideas to ensure I am served when I'm looking to order (order ahead for pick-up later).

When inside, the team is very friendly and the food is out of this world. Best ramen spot in Guelph, no wonder they are so busy lol.

The vegan Miso Rich and Corny (now called the Kaizen Warrior) is my JAM! Never change this please! All the staff are amazing too. Love supporting this local business.

The photos of menu are soo attractive but the taste of food is far from expectation. The food tastes like a newbie cooked

I picked up 2 dishes from here and was throughly dissatisfied unable to eat more than 4 mouthfuls. The broth was different in the 2 dishes ordered but in both cases the salt levels were unbearable. This is supposed to be a healthy option yet it seemed more like cardiac on a plate. Somebody needs to monitor this throughout the day. I wanted over 40 dollars on this meal

Presentation of food is good and they use mostly biodegradable packaging but the taste was lacking. We ordered the Tokyo and Seoul chicken ramen and we could only taste salt. Felt it was too expensive for the taste.

Had an amazing experience at Crafty Ramen! I have been hearing good things about this place for a while, and though it was out of town for us, it was definitely worth the drive.

We were greeted by the owner I believe, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us select two perfect dishes! The marinated egg was an add on option but I would highly recommend it. All together one of the best ramen experiences! If you like ramen, crafty won’t let you down.

Aside from the Michelin Star level that these cooks work at (seriously), they and the FOH staff are incredibly professional and nice.
I was blown away by how on-point the cooks are with their mise-en-place and movements - honestly beautiful to watch

This place is a tiny bar-style ramen place in a great location in Guelph. Some decent spicy vegetarian options, and local craft beer on tap. Downside is that it is often packed and you can't reserve seats, so it's first come, first served. Don't expect a table to yourself! You will likely be sitting with strangers due to how small this place is, and the design.
Also, while the food is good, the prices tend to be on the high side for a place like this.expect to pay approx $17 plus tax for a bowl of (admittedly tasty) noodles. Bring at least $30 per person if you want a good pint with your meal.

Loved the no. 1 bestseller dish, but couple of eggs were upsold to us as a side dish of which only one came on our plates.

Amazing service and such great food. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. Recommend to anyone for the great service and awesome food

Out of this world vegan ramen. Nothing on this menu is an afterthought, every option is given so much thought and is so flavourful.

The veggie broth was amazing. Full of flavour and the tofu was almost "meaty".

So so tasty! Everything I have had here has been brought quickly despite how busy it has been, and has exceeded my expectations. The eating areas are cozy, so you may be closer to a stranger than at other places, but it is a part of what gives this place it's charm. Be careful of asking for something spicy! Make sure you know what you are getting into and consider getting something slightly less spicy. It may surprise you. The self-serve water and local beer selection are both personal favourites.

Northern Warmer is my favorite, add an egg and some bok choy. Also, the new fried beef cheeks are incredible.

Came here after being told this was the place for good ramen near Waterloo and I am not disappointed at all. Their ramen was delicious, got their spicy tantan men with an egg. My boyfriend got their meat lover and I definitely recommend it for a thick meaty base.

I ordered the Tokyo Salary Man with pork and I really like how they torched the port and gave it a nice fire taste. But I personally don’t like the noodles because it is too soft and doesn’t blend very well with the broth. This ramen place is a more Japanese-western fusion rather than a traditional Japanese ramen.

It was head banging, hard rock that was way to loud to enjoy lunch. I felt like I was at a frat party and not at a ramen place. The staff look unprofessional and having an open kitchen while I was there for what seemed like 3 hours not one washed their hands. Then the soup finaly arrives, it was a half of a small bowl for 17.00. The soup was greasy, so spicy, and it had lots of sesame oil, and they wanted to charge an extra 1.50 for an egg which should come wth the soup, to say the least its ridiculous. Good for them.they have an audience.myself I did not get it. I'm a chef and unless I'm in a beautiful restaurant, I would not pay this kind of money for a soup in a cafeteria setting again.

A little bummed they changed their mapo tofu recipe but its still good. If the prices were cheaper I'd eat here a lot more. The staff is very knowledgeable of their product keeping it traditional, the staff is very friendly as well. Honestly this place impresses if you're into ramen and want the real deal. Would recommend and will definitely come back again and again as long as the mapo stays on the menu.

The Ramen here is definitely the best I have had personally. Very delicious and such an authentic feel there. I always recommend it and have brought many of my friends to try it, they always love it just as much! The service is polite and fast. All around amazing spot.

Great ramen shop with friendly hosts. The pork-duck broth was filled with umami and toppings went well with the noodles.

Whenever I have ramen, and it isn’t from Crafty Ramen, I always wish it was from Crafty. They have a great spot downtown Guelph and the inside is always busy and cozy. I’ve tried a whole bunch of their dishes and every one is so tasty! It is also really easy to customize your ramen and make it exactly how you like it. They have a great selection of vegan options too! I’m really looking forward to them opening up their KW location so I can eat their delicious food multiple times during the week and not just when I’m visiting Guelph!

The tofu and the broth were exceptional. The noodles were hearty. We had a chance to talk to one of the creatives on staff who was happy to share his passion and break down some of his favourite dishes. That being said, I enjoyed my meal so much that I’m unlikely to try anything new. It’s not ramen cheap, but I’d pay that much again. Sit down prices in a semi casual atmosphere.

Have a sinus cold & the server helped me choose the best dish.added fresh garlic, hot sauce & more, to help me out. So good. Loved it!

Excellent Ramen! Fun to sit at the bar and watch them work. Not many seats so wouldn't be good for a group of more than four. Adding a marinated egg is well worth it.

We had never eaten here before but we took a shot and it was so worth it.the service was great and everyone was so friendly.our food was cooked to order and was nice and hot when they brought it to our seat.everything tasted great and next time I'm in town this place will be a must to go back to for me.pricing was reasonable because you get a great size portion.go check them out.

Some of the best ramen I've ever had. Unconventional set up that can take a bit of getting used to, but is well worth it for the food. Small space as well so not necessarily suitable for larger groups, but table turnover seems high and iv never had to wait long.

Amazing quality, and delightful atmosphere, as a fellow culinary worker in downtown Guelph, Crafty is my absolute favorite place too eat, I go as often as once a week sometimes (big fan of the meat lovers personally) absolutely suggest a visit.

Wait times are a little longer than most places and it's a tad pricey but it's because the food is sooo so good. Everything is super fresh and most of it is made in house. It's become a weekly thing my friends and I always look forward to. Worth the price.:) I <3 crafty ramen

Me and my buddy have been eating here since they opened and hit-up Crafty about once a week.

Probably my favorite place in town to eat. I'm ridiculously picky because I HATE the taste of water, and any food with a watery taste (i.e. 95% of vegetables), so the fact that they can get me to eat Bok Choi means they're doing something right.

I always get the Chicken Tantan Men.

The Gyoza is delicious, but since they refined their Korean Fried Beef Cheeks, I get those every time. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, ans juicy and tender on the inside! I've met lots of people who are turned off of them because of the name, but trust me, they are DELICIOUS!

I love the Meat Lovers bowl. This time I tried something different though, The Seeker. It was okay, but I found it way to fishy! Great service besides that.

This photo doesn't do the Spicy Negi Chicken ramen justice. It is, without question, one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Everything I've tried at Crafty Ramen has been amazing, but I recommend the Spicy Negi, the Gyoza, and the Karaage Chicken.and don't forget the egg!
