The location, owners, staff and food are always amazing. The food is always great (take out or dine in). Rosseau is lucky to have such a great restaurant.

Service was bad. Server ignored us for long periods of time. The set menu for Thanksgiving has a charcuterie board which server said serves two people. We were four people and she brought only one plate and says, “oh they fit it all on one plate”. We later saw the same portions for two people sitting near us.

The strip loin steak and cauliflower/cheddar soup were amazing! A special effort by the staff on our dessert made our anniversary even more special!

I was here in 2010 with my mom and had such a memorable meal at the time. Was thrilled for the opportunity to revisit last weekend but the food did not live up to my previous experience. Lumaconi pasta felt cheaply made and was very underwhelming for a $36 dish and the $15 salad was bland. Sad to experience such a disappointing meal as it's a beautiful location.

Been here too many times, it’s all about the food and atmosphere, service can be hit and miss, but most of the time it’s great.

A wonderful evening on the patio with our group of 11. Food was excellent as always and our server went above and beyond to help make our night great!

This place is superb!
Book ahead or you won't get in even if you beg which you probably will in the future once you have tried the food here. Owned by two great Chefs this husband and wife team excel at it all. It not only shows in the food but in their great pick of staff including Emma, and Megan, Oliver at the bar who make great cocktails every staff member there is attentive but unobtrusive at the same time. Service is timely but unrushed. Now to the location. Crossroads sits at the heart of this charming village. Easy to spot as you approach by the lines of cars parked along the road but that's not all. This place has somewhat of a stellar reputation in Muskoka, and for the most part, deservedly so. The atmosphere on a Friday night is relaxed and bustling, with a great naturally flowing design and covered patio build-out that makes it feel like the inside and out are just an extension of each other. The service is also top-notch with little 'hovering' or overly obsequious wait-staff. The food is good, but a little pricey. The emphasis on fresh locally sourced ingredients shines, as does the presentation. The execution is decent, but not outstanding. My Lumiconi pasta was flavorful, firm, and not swimming in a sea of sauce. However, the added tenderloin medallions were overcooked and brought down this plat from a 4 out of 5 to a 3. It wasn't bad, it's just the meat could have been sliced slightly thicker so as to provide another option beyond just 'well-done. ' The homeade focaccia bread was also decent, but a bit over the top at $12. The wine selection was also good, but again, when matched with the entree's, the prices seemed a tad on the high side. As for dessert, the carrot cake did not disappoint - not sugary sweet like most, but with a light tangy zip that made it moist and refreshingly flavorful without feeling like it was loaded up with high fructose filler. The Negroni cocktail was a highlight.kudos to the barman. All in all, a good choice for some decent food and drink, with a nice solo artist strumming a six-string in the background.

It may be the only place around, but not quite sure it deserves the fuss.

I rarely provide a negative review on the various platforms out there, preferring to be constructive and provide feedback directly to the establishment. When my correspondence with the restaurant a few weeks back about our experience went without response, I still felt the need to share our experience that was to say the least, disappointing.

The lovely setting and polished, competent service with Jenn was an excellent start, but when two of our caesar salads arrived and one was half the size of the other, minus the bacon and topped with a few dried out crostini slices, our discerning tastes were piqued. A bowl of bacon bits delivered table side is not how a dish is corrected. The Lumiconi pasta was quite underwhelming, with the so-called tenderloin strips resembling reconstituted jerky, saved only by the fact they were floating in a runny broth that certainly didn’t translate as well as the entree’s description. The Fritto Misto offering was overcooked and either or both the fennel and broccoli were charred beyond recognition. Yes, it was busy, the place was hopping, and the good company made up for the evening’s shortcomings, but when the included prixe fixe desserts were presented along with ‘a complementary carrot cake’ on the condition that it would all have to be ‘to go’ because a group was waiting for our table, that sealed it.

When a 4: 30 seating expires at 6: 10 p.m. And your group is heading to the street with carry-out after a disappointing $500 bill, it rankles.

Fantastic food, magical atmosphere, attentive compassionate service and a dog menu! Amazing place for a day out on the lake! Wine menu is deliberate and well thought out and cocktails are simple and elegantly constructed.

Anniversary dinner and decide to try Crossroads for the first time. It was wonderful on all fronts - service, atmosphere and food. Will be back again for sure and won't be waiting for an anniversary to enjoy it.

As we do on occasions, we will go to crossroads for great food, that never disappoints.
But what I find upsetting is the tipping options that offer you a percentage over the amount of your bill including taxes, that is just robbery! I am not a big fan of taxes, and to tip over them riles me, and leave me to question the integrity of your staff.
This is NOT right!

Atmosphere was beautiful, the food & drinks were amazing, and above all the super nice & expert servers were the best, took it all in stride with our large, late night & lively table. Wow. Definitely a five-star meal experience! Had chef's menu. Steak was one of the best I've had. The desserts are huge, easily shareable by two or three people. I prefer the carrot cake which was more moist than the bread pudding.

It was my first and likely last time dining here.
There was a bone in the duck pate. I showed our server who said she would inform the chef. It was way overpriced for 4 dried crackers and 4 cold round blobs of minced duck that looked like cat food. My mushroom ravioli was very good, points for that. My boyfriend's steak was undercooked though. When we informed our server her response was that when she checked in with us earlier, everything was fine. I told her yes it was at that point, it was the centre of the steak that was not cooked enough. He even showed her the piece. Coming across as argumentive with a customer is not ok. She offered me a birthday cupcake to go, then left us waiting while going to serve another table. At this point we said forget it and left.

Exceptional service, high quality food items, great selection of wine. You can see the water from the patio. It’s just a wonderful experience. The interior is equally as beautiful!

Fries are a real hit.fantastic options, great prix fixe.great chicken fingers combo from the kids menu, knowledgeable wait staff and bartender has fantastic attitude about helping pick out cocktails!
