Crown Pita

I have been going her for 5-6 years maybe longer and I can't understand the bad reviews. I love this place so much and he truly is trying. Not a massive chain place just a good guy with good food. Keep it up man!

The worse food I’ve ever had, and the owner said it’s my taste, and he’s been around 15 years he said, absolutely garbage my food was sour. I threw it out in the garbage after two bites in front of him after he’s arguing with me, I swore my chicken was spoiled it was super sour. I ain’t getting food poisoning just because you’ve been around “15 years”. I’m trying to tell you something is wrong with my food maybe you should listen. Your 3.8 rating isn’t exactly anything to be proud of.

The store front and displays are visibly outdated but so is their pricing which is fantastic! The quality of food is fantastic! Pair that with pre-inflation pricing and I'm in heaven! I personally ordered the gyro special and got 2 of them for $15, tax and everything included! And the wraps were packed and tasty! I'm not sure why the rating for this store is so low - I will be back soon for some more and start to explore the rest of the menu! Will update this review as I go

I assume it was the owner I dealt with but I don't know for certain. He was friendly and welcoming though and the falafel pita was delicious.

Worst Shawarma I’ve ever tasted, threw it in the garbage after two bites. Do not go here, avoid at all cost.

Stopped in for a chicken shawarma for lunch glad I did. Got everything on it. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. Nothing overly salty like some other places. Was really happy with the shawarma. Will stop in again. Not sure about the negative reviews as the service and quality were great.

Food was old and it tasted so bad. Guy there is so rude and much attitude! They will never admit they’re wrong. Please save your money and don’t go here

Food here is actually really good but the service is horrible. The gentleman who owns the shop yelled at my son for grabbing drinks from the freezer. A very rude and arrogant individual. Never going back!

This is unfortunately one of the worst places I've ever eaten food from. The food is borderline, but the customer service is just terrible. The man working there is rude, inattentive, and doesn't seem to care about customer service at all.

The shawarma plate was 10% meat, 90% rice, and the falafels were tiny, and burnt on the outside, and raw on the inside.

I'm genuinely surprised that this place is able to stay in business, considering how mediocre the food is, how high the prices are, and how bad the customer service is.

Love the food, it tastes amazing. This is the only shawarma spot I've been going to since High School

After reading and hearing great reviews, I decided to try here on the weekend. I don't know where all the positive reviews are coming from - this place far from impressed me. The worker was unprofessional; he didn't wear his mask properly, barely gave us any meat, was scooping rice into the cooker with his hands, and when I asked for a little more sauce he said the wrap was completed already so rudely.

Besides that, the food just wasn't that great for the price. I tasted way too saucy. I've had shawarmas at about 5 different places and I would rate this one the lowest overall. I thought it would be better than the Whites road place, but nope, I was wrong.

I love this place. A regular here. I get the falafel pita with everything and some garlic fries. It's taste AMAZING! Cant really keep from eating them, so photos for now.

I had been to this restaurant for the first time today. I found the person in the restaurant probably the owner to be very unfreindly and unprofessional. I was trying to customize my shawarama plate and this man was so impatient to the point that he doubted whether I am going to buy anything. There was nobody there at this time so this would have been a good opportunity to build rapport and get a customer. For 14 dollars there was exactly about 3 to 4 tablespoon of chicken and beef mix that I requested. The meat was dry and hard. So not only that the service was bad but the food also. He lost a customer.

This has been my go to lunch place for years. It’s a hidden gem and is so delicious. I get the large chicken meal and it’s two makes for me and very tasty. The garlic fries and spicy chilies are so yummy! The owners are pretty serious people and aren’t overly friendly. But we went there many times and they warmed up to us. So go there for good food, but don’t expect the most amazing customer service experience.

Best shawarma in Pickering, without a doubt. Always fresh, tasty, and most importantly, consistent. I go here at least 3 times a week and have never had a bad experience.

Absolutely no good taste, and very little meat for so much money, last time I was there and ordered 2 chicken plates and paid almost $30 in return I received a lot of salad with little rise and just a small I mean very small amount of chicken with absolutely no taste and so much dressing on top. Long story short, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Best spot for falafel wraps or shawama! I've tried numerous others and this is by far the best! Luckily I work across this location and I get it as much as I can.

Love this place. Great food, mostly get the chicken shawarma, but their falafel and beef shawarmas are also great. Please keep the pickled turnip in stock, sometimes they have pickled beets instead, not as good.

Great tasty shawarma wort to try. The fries are fresh cut and very delicious. Honestly, I have to travel from far away just to have a hot lentil soup in a cold day. They also serve very generous amount compared with others. And they always serve you with a smile. Price is fair as the other stores.

Honestly food is always tasty, all the sauces are great and garlic fries are delicious. Also love the crunchy fried pita chips but owners are rude and have no manners. Also pricy. And wish the inside was cleaner or more organized. But for the food alone not sure if it’s completely worth it.

Healthy shawarma wrap, basically shawarma for those who dont know is a stuff pita with beef, chicken, or mix of both with veggie toppings and sauce. Veggie option which is a falafel, basically is chick peas mashed up into balls with some spices. All are good but I am a meat eater soo mixed is always the way to go for myself

Always a treat! My fave is the beef shawarma rice. Hopefully they are open during the shut down.

Possibly the best falafels I’ve ever had. Made there, and fried fresh on the spot. I literally stop here every time I go to Toronto from Montreal.
Go for the Falafel wrap with garlic fries.

Very Small portion sizes. Put only 2 pieces of turnip on my wrap. Won’t ever give pickles. Lettuce was bad. There are many other better shawarma places. Only would go here for falafel or their soup. Unfortunately it has gone downhill since it changed ownership about 4 years ago.

Great tasting shawrmas but the customer service needs lots of work, feels like I am bothering them with my business sometimes. Overall recommended if you want a decent shawrma (get extra spice, the green one, if you can handle it) spot in Pickering.

One of the better tasting shawarmas in Durham Region. They are no frills, but offer fresh produce as toppings, homemade sauces & roasted to perfection meat. My go to is their beef shawarma. I highly recommend if you are in the area.

Honestly HORRIBLE experience. Please do not go there. They are so cheap. Asked for more turnips they were rude about it and refused to give me more. I did not want any rice so I just wanted potatoes and a tiny bit more veggies. And the. I paid for the sauces to be on the side and they charged me for 3 sauces. They put the humus & garlic in the same container cause they are that cheap even though I paid for them to have everything in a separate container. Attitude was ridiculous. Not worth your time. Food isn’t that great, but yet my “large” was the same as a medium and they charged me like 15$ for nothing. So very pissed off about that. I hate cheap people. These type of restaurants they do this stuff. Very cheap. Don’t go!

Absolutely delicious hole in the wall shwarma spot. I'd go as far as to say one of the best or the best in all of Durham region.

Reccomend shwarma plate with everything in salad. Extra green sauce (homemade jalapeno hot sauce topping) absolutely delicious

Some people reviewed and have called the owners rude. They are very nice and the only reason why it may seem like that is because their might be a slight language barrier. They are very hospitable. So take some of these idiotic reviews and dont even listen to them

I'm not one to put up reviews, but after my last experience I decided I had to. I've been coming to this place for a long time before the current owners were there, I actually remember the previous owners training him before he had to go back home oversees. I work in the area and used to come for lunch at least 3/week, the customer service was and apparently still is a challenge according to reviews, I still gave them business because I understand the hustle and how hard it is to make a living, the woman is pleasant and willing to make small conversation with you, but the man is from out of this world! Literally he hates everybody.today he yelled just cuz, I dont know if he had a bad or what but it was pretty shameful, his son was working and even he gave me a look as to say sorry. I'm sorry after 6years I cant support this anymore, I just cant. I dont wish them bad but i hope more people say something about his conduct.

I agree with those who are saying the man who works here is rude. Around a year ago I had come to get a shawarma. I didn't hear him when he asked if I wanted I drink with my meal as I was preoccupied. When I asked to purchase a drink when I was being cashed out he told me no! Because I didn't answer him the first time. Keep in mind I did not hear him. He was extremely rude and the woman working with him just stood there watching. Both of them were rude this man doesn't know how to talk to people, and he doesn't know squat about customer service. For that woman to stand there and just watch is unprofessional.it's a shame that some people are so nasty and rude. Please do not shop here there are other Shawarma places in Pickering and Ajax.
