Small rooms
Over priced restaurant.
In the elevator, they advertise restaurant prices which seem reasonable, however, that’s only happy hour pricing. I find it misleading.
There is no continental breakfast.
Many things in our room were in need of repair. Many of the lights were loose, the bottom of the bathroom door looks like someone kicked it in, door handles were loose. The mini fridge in the room smelled horrible, I couldn’t use it because of the smell.
There were more security guards around than staff. Gave me an uneasy feeling; I wonder if this is not a good part of town.

Staff are polite, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean, but very, very small. Parking is really pricey ($28/day), but the free breakfast buffet is fantastic.

Wow - excellent service! I have to travel a lot for work and it's very rare that a hotel, especially one near an airport, stands out like this. The entire staff is so lovely - from check-in, to finding my room, to the restaurant staff, to check-out. I felt incredibly well taken care of. The rooms are clean and the location is very convenient if you're trying to get to the airport or attending a conference nearby. I will certainly be back!

This is a refugee camp and I would advise against choosing this accommodation. During my recent business stay, I paid nearly $400 per night and encountered several concerning issues. The environment resembled more of a refugee camp than a hotel, with dirty elevators, unattended children freely roaming the lobby, and even an incident where one child knocked me over. The grounds were littered with garbage, and there was a general sense of overcrowding and disarray, with people loitering everywhere. To make matters worse, I found urine on the elevator floor last night.

Additionally, nearby restaurants expressed similar complaints about the area. It would have been appreciated if the management had informed us about these conditions beforehand, allowing us to make an informed decision about whether to stay here. Unfortunately, my five-night stay here has been far from pleasant and has felt significantly overpriced.

We were put up in this hotel by Air Canada due to a flight cancellation.

The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was spotty. It seemed to run less frequently than the shuttles for other hotels.

The front desk person Muhammad was extremely cordial and professional. He gave us paper bags full of water, granola bars, and bottled water which was nice.

However, we found it odd on our way to our rooms that there were several security guards working in the lobby. There were also roped off areas leading to the elevators. We learned later that the hotel may have a contract to house refugees and asylum seekers. One of the security guards gave us a cryptic explanation that they were there because of the refugees. We are still unclear why there was such a need for security. Interestingly, we had to get up very early to catch our flight, and there were no security guards in the lobby at that time.

We were put on the top floor which seemed like a special floor for “regular” guests.

The rooms were fine for the money. The TVs were glitchy. The bathrooms were decent but not cleaned all that well (there were a lot of long hairs on the floor).

I would never stay here again voluntarily, but it was satisfactory for having been put up by Air Canada. As an aside, Air Canada is a terrible airline.

The bad thing about the hotel are the Arab refugees, rude children, and all of them with a bad smell, they make the corridors of the hotel smell bad.

I did not have a good experience staying at this hotel! They were cockroaches in the room, the pillows had a brown stain on them and there was another person's hair under the pillows and in the bathroom. It was disgusting to say the least. I would never stay here again! Plus I had to pay $28 just for parking.

Several other people have mentioned it, but yeah upon arrival, there were security guards everywhere, patrolling the lobby and hallways. I also found it very funny and odd how barely anyone else who was a normal tourist or visitor stayed at the hotel. That was something I took note of when I was on the shuttle, as everyone else got off at the more glamorous Sheraton.

Other than that, room was fine and decent for the stay near the airport. Airport shuttle runs roughly every 30 minutes. Service could have been better.

The staff was great the covid room was not along with the food served. Other hotels had ordering off menu no additional costs but here no options, box food. For the cost paid for 3 nights not well planned

Good but I wish they had customized menu for every guest here there's a fixed menu and the only choice is between veg and non veg. Also the rooms could be a bit bigger plus theres no microwave oven.

Booking system is not handled well, and staff continuously misinformed about quarantine prices. Ended up having to pay more, while waiting 3 hours to get a room after 16 hours flight.

Do NOT stay here. Biggest scam and waste of money. Food is horrible, custom service is terrible, can never reach the front desk no matter how many times you try calling, and the wifi doesn’t even work! Nightmare of a stay. STAY AWAY! BIG scam! Any half decent review on here was done by them to try and save face as EVERYONE here is unhappy. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra to stay at another quarantine hotel, you will be thankful you did.

They are talking on the phone one thinks but when you are coming to the place they are saying totally different and in that time it's kind of late to get change the place or do something else because you paid already and you have all the paper work.

Worst service I ever experienced!
Called to book three nights mandatory gov stay and the agent made couple of mistakes on the booking. When I asked him to correct it, after waiting for 20 min on hold he just hang up. Then I called 5 more times to correct the mistake but instead of correcting the mistake and send me the correct booking confirmation, they just hang up or redirected me to the line that is actually the main menue. I am still waiting on the phone to speak with the manager!
After half an hour on the phone with the Manager, she hang up the phone as well. Such a great service!

I am on covid 3 days quarantine here. First night got dinner at 11.30 pm after 3-4 calls, customer service picks your phone if you call thousands times.

Absolutely disgusting hotel, very rude staff and poor customer service! We had a quarantine stay at Crowne Plaza Hotel Toronto Airport. The experience was a living nightmare. Please don't get fooled by this hotel and its modern look. They are dishonest cheats. We arrived at the hotel completely exhausted after a long flight. The least that we wanted was rooms to sleep and food to eat. However, there was complete chaos in the lobby. There were hundreds of people in the lobby, quarantine stay as well as regular travelers, all crowded together. No social distancing. There was garbage lying all over the floor. The front desk was clearly not equipped to manage the crowd and looked very frustrated and angry. After a very long wait of about 8 hours, we finally got our rooms. The hotel corridors were dirty and stinking. The rooms are very small, dimly lit, no microwave and the washroom was a joke. The beds creaked when you turn. No food or water was given to us. The Front Desk, Room Service and the Operator stopped answering our calls. Our kids were tired and hungry. After trying to reach the Front Desk and Room Service for nearly 2 hours, we gave up and my husband went out of the hotel to buy something to eat. The next day we tried calling Room Service and the Desk but nobody answered. Went down many times and finally at 1130 am we were given breakfast which was cold eggs with stale dry bread thrown on top of the eggs. This continued for the duration of our forced stay at this disgusting hotel. The food was served late, tasteless, cold and the portion was very small. The Chef of this hotel should be fired because the food is pathetic. The hotel owner and its management is a greedy and dishonest scammer. We were ripped off nearly $ 4000 for nothing. Our COVID test result was negative and we wanted to check out the next day but the hotel refused to pay us our money saying it is a Government Regulation. We wanted to speak to the General Manager but we were refused saying that the hotel does not have a General Manager.
The Reception Manager Sanamprit was very rude, unhelpful and arrogant. He was clearly incompetent to handle a situation and horrible at customer service. The Crown Plaza owner, management and staff are greedy scammers who gouge people for money during a pandemic. Absolutely shameless and spineless. No sympathy, empathy and no hospitality at all. This hotel should be boycotted and sued by all travellers. I guess this is how they make money and run business by cheating and gouging people. The owners and management should be ashamed of themselves. Thanks to this hotel, I will never ever stay at a Crown Plaza hotel again. Terrible experience.

My friend had made a reservation for her parents for their quarantine stay. After multiple times confirming this information, her parents arrived after countless hours of travel only to be denied a room. After being forced to pay more money than originally charged and a 3h wait and argument, they finally got a room. On top of this, they were given the wrong meal for their dietary restrictions (which my friend confirmed beforehand). Terrible service, I will definitely avoid and advise all to do the same.

I could write a novel on everything wrong with this hotel, and would give them NEGATIVE stars, if I could. I called their booking system to book my parents' quarantine stay, and after being on hold for 30 min, finally got through to someone to make the booking. First, they made the booking for one person even though I had confirmed that it was for two, and then had to call back to get the booking updated (after which, they updated it to three people instead of two). Regardless, thereafter, I called the hotel MULTIPLE times to confirm my parents' arrival, dietary restrictions, the fact that all food would be provided, etc.

When my parents arrived at the hotel - after 20+ hours of travel - the hotel denied that their reservation was under the appropriate rate for their quarantine stay, and proceeded to argue with them, denied them their room and food for multiple hours, and were EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. I also called in to speak to the front desk and manager about this booking, and they told me I could just book another hotel if I was unhappy with their approach, knowing very well that I couldn't do that since they would not grant me a refund on the amount already paid.

The original booking already cost $1,300, and they refused to grant my parents any accommodations unless we paid an additional $500 - NONE of which was communicated to us prior to their arrival. Nobody on the booking line has the appropriate information, and I was sent in circles to make the booking in the first place, only for my parents to have to deal with this unprofessional and uncalled for behaviour. We had no choice but to pay the amount. The employees of this hotel are disrespectful, greedy, and downright inhumane. I would never recommend staying at a Crowne Plaza to anyone, ever.

Negative stars need to be added as an option to describe this hotel experience. We had booked a 3 day stay for my visiting mother in law due to quarantine rules and after a long, tiring flight, she checked in to the hotel and didn't get served dinner until I called several hours later demanding dinner for her since it was duly paid for. But the worst was yet to come. I checked her out a couple of hours ago, all for us to get home and my wife received a call from someone from the hotel with the accusation that the coffee machine, dryer and hangars in her room were missing hence she was going to be charged for them and 5mins later her card was charged. No evidence was presented, just the allegation. My mother in law is in her mid sixties and has never used a coffee machine in her life and comes across dryers only at the hair salon. The hangar is just a joke. This is after paying over $1000 and spending only two nights. To be accused of theft and made to pay for something she did not do is so upsetting, ridiculous and unbelievable.
Several calls have been made to the hotel with no one giving a reasonable explanation. This is the worst hotel experience ever

I will never stay in a crown hotel again. You want to rip off people for quarantine, then enjoy the money because you won't get my business. I stay on average 10 weekends a year at hotels in and around Toronto. You have lost me, my family and whomever I can share your rip off stories to all my friends on Facebook. Good bye

My sister arrived at this hotel today on march 9th at 3: 30 pm. She did not get any snacks/meal/water/coffee until 9: 50 pm. She tried calling service desk several times no one was picking up. I tried calling from my cell at around 5: 50pm after 4 tries a lady picked up. I requested her to send something to eat as my sister was starving. She said we have started serving dinner at 5: 30pm she should get it when its her turn and I cant speed it up for her. I asked her to atleast send some tea now and she said okay I will. But nothing was sent to her until 9: 50 pm. There was no water bottle or complementary coffee in the room. I feel terrible for booking this hotel for my sister. Better stay away if you are in quarantine as you cant go out to get something to eat or request a service. And they wont pick up the call and if they do they wont be helpful.

Terrible staff, they refuse to communicate with guests. I felt like I had begged them to stay at their property. I paid $1100.

I am a Spire Elite member, I was not treated how the highest class members are treated at any other IHG hotel I have been to, and I have 800 nights with them worldwide. This was simply my worst hotel experience in my history of travel.

I called for reservation for COVID mandatory stay, agent Chris told me it will be $319 per night for 2 adults but email confirmation shows $519 per nights so either he deceiving us or know nothing so be careful

By far the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. Extremely unprofessional and rude staff. Food is tasteless. We stayed at this hotel due to quarantine stay and were cheated of $3500. There was a large crowd in the lobby, all tired and waiting for rooms. Reception was not well managed and could not handle the travellers. No food nor water was available. Front Desk and room service were not answering our calls. It was a horrible experience. The receptionist Sanamprit was very unprofessional and rude. We were served cold and tasteless food throughout our stay inspite of paying such high rates. The owner and management of this hotel are gouging people during these difficult times. Pathetic.

Please don't stay in this Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport hotel ever. They will over charge and cheat you out of thousands of dollars and then treat you worse than beggars. They just don't care about you or your comfort. They only care about the money. Rooms are given after 9 hours waiting. You have to beg for food and water. Nobody answers phone calls. Disgusting management and staff. No customer service at all. They should be ashamed and boycotted by all travellers.

Horrible customer service and very rude sales staff. I called the hotel wanting to speak to someone for special rates since I have a project. I was connected to the sales department. The phone rang for ever and I was disconnected twice. I called the hotel 3 times and was finally answered by a guy who identified himself as a catering director. I explained my need for discounted rates and inclusions like breakfast and parking since I will be staying for 1 year. This catering guy was very rude to me and cut me off many times during the conversation. He seemed to be in great hurry to finish the conversation and hung up on me before I could even finish telling him my requirement.
I have never met anyone who is so very rude and horrible in customer service. I asked him for his name so that I could speak to his boss but he said that he was the boss and I had no option but to deal with him. This entire experience of dealing with this guy was a nightmare. I don't understand how such a person is allowed to exist in customer service and that too in hospitality. This guy clearly is in a wrong role. The hotel management should do something about such rude staff.
I finally did bookings at Holiday Inn hotel where I was made to feel valued and welcome as a customer.

Decent hotel. Seemed clean. Had a room with a queen bed that was pretty cozy. The only thing is there was no microwave or minifridge, just in case someone was wondering.

No. I did not plan on being here, my flight was missed (because my connecting flight ran 2 hours late because Canadians, what they make up in kindness they lack in preparedness). But staying here was awesome. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and fair rates. The food was excellent. The shuttle.is scary. Please fix the shocks of the car. It feels like a D-Box experience you didn't pay for or desire. Joking aside, excellent time here.

Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, courteous service.

Cons: Very little soundproofing in the walls and door - I could hear everything happening outside my room. The curtain in the room didn't block light either.

The hotel was good but the attached restaurant was pretty bad. Slow service and food was cold when I finally got it. The showers in the hotel were pretty mediocre.

Our room left quite a bit to be desired, from peeling wallpaper to curtains that actually block the sunlight from hitting your face at 8am, this was the last time I'll be staying at the Crowne

Rooms were very clean and well maintained. The hotel has excellent bath products and offers earplugs for the airport traffic. Staff were very helpful.

If you think this hotel is great, I feel sorry for you because you've never experienced a great hotel. 1- Hotel staff was nice, however they messed up the billing. 2- The hotel is grundy. Like falling apart on the ceiling, in the corners, the carpet is stained 3- Hotel pool is gross and the water is green, like they cant keep up with an actual pool. Honestly the photos on the website are a sham. That pool is tiny and could not fit more than 4 people in there 4- There was a rattling noise coming from the pipes in the bathroom all night, on top of the hotel not being insulated for sound, right by the airport. This means you hear large planes fly over every 3 minutes 5- The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bed skirt were soiled, the carpet stained. No fridge. I had the room with 2 double beds, no space to even go around the bed comfortably. 6- The shower - when you shower, water pools up because they havent cleaned the drains. So theres probably a ton of hair in the drain. It was completely disgusting 7- Brunch is $18 dollars and tastes like it was frozen up until 1 hour before it was served. Its overcooked and tasteless. Way too expensive for what it is 8- You have to pay an extra $20 for parking on top of all the atrocities. Save yourself the pain, skip this hotel

The hotel was awful in every possible way. I know it's a book but it's worth the read. To start we walked in and went to check in, the reservation was made by WSIB so the credit card hold was supposed to only be $50. The man said it would be $100, whatever no big deal did that. We got into the room it was so small and definitely far from clean in every way. Then an airplane flew overhead, it was so loud to the point of not being able to hear anything else when they were passing above which averaged once every 3 minutes. From there the pipes from the sink would rattle, every so often even though we weren't using them. We decided to take a trip down to the pool. It was gross, and way smaller than what they try to make it out to be in photos. After returning to the room we decided to shower at which point the water in the shower was backing up. Meaning there is a bunch of shit stuck in the drain clogging it and we are getting a gross foot bath of it. Finally we get into the beds. They were somewhat comfortable but certainly not what we anticipated. We woke up the next morning bright and early to a bill which has been put into our room by the door as we slept. It was not slipped under as it is carpet with no gap. They literally opened our door. Which is all the way messed up. We look at the bill and now the hotel has changed the hold to $225 and they have charged the card for parking. Something we specifically said we would pay cash/debit. The man at the front desk is at a loss for words but says the hold will be returned. Tired, hungry and quite frustrated, we took the voucher for one over to the restaurant and one of us got food as the other sat in disgust with everything that had transpired. The food was awful. Pre frozen potatoes, burnt bacon (literally black), hard old pancakes, and dried out sausages was the final cherry on top and end of our terrible adventure. Or at least so far that is. Fingers crossed they don't charge us for the room when it was being billed out to WSIB. Oh and keep in mind we are really really easy to please. We are not picky, and if anything would have went right we would have overlooked all of it.

I spent the weekend there, staff didn't have full knowledge, shower was awful, water would not go down for shower, the shampo and conditioner was half full. It was used by people before us. Would not go back there again.

A superior personnel member in the dining room, an excellent front desk manager, the front desk services checking in and out of the hotel was horrendous. Overall adequate stay at their establishment. Not impressed!

Spent part of the night after missing a plane stayed courtesy of air Canada. Bed comfortable and clean but needed step ladder to get into.room overall còuld use a good cleaning. Food poor

Convenient for being close to the airport, however this hotel is one of the noiser ones I've stayed at near Pearson. They do provide a sleep kit which includes ear plugs, so that's nice. Cleanliness is ok, the staff are very helpful.

Flight delayed and got a voucher from Westjet. Not very kind at check in, very aged hotel but high listed price. Close to the airport so you hear the loud airplane noise all the time. If I have to pay for stay, I would not stay here for the price they charge.

Awesome. The staff there is super nice. And always helping with whatever you need. The four star is because. No fridge or microwave in rooms. Good pool. Hot tub smells dirty tho. Breakfast buffet is awesome. Overall. I'd go back for sure.

The experience was terrible, the stuff lost my bag whilst it was under their guard in the storage and told me to write an email which they never responded to. I guess the only thing left is to take legal action, expect us soon, i dont think you even deserve a single star
