MICE IN THE CRUISE MOTORHOME

My wife and I had a bad experience with Cruise Canada, we rented a motorhome on September 2,2023 in Calgary to visit the Rocky Mountains. Despite being old, the motorhome was apparently ok. However, on the first day the refrigerator didn't work and ruined a lot of our food. To make matters worse, on the 2nd day we found another part of the food eaten by MICE in the cupboard under the sink. They also chewed on a blouse and napkins. When my wife saw everything destroyed, she panicked, afraid of MICE running around the motorhome and climbing into the bed at night. I sent an email to Cruise Canada explaining the facts and attaching photos as soon as I got internet access and I received no response. I delivered the motorhome on September 9th in Calgary, I carried out the delivery inspection together with the Cruise employee who also confirmed the existence of MICE and the non-operation of the ice cream shop and I was only offered 130 Canadian dollars in compensation, which did not even cover what I spent on food and clothes ruined by rats. I will never do business with Cruise Canada Motorhomes again.

Fantastic experience. Ankush and Coma were very helpful. Answered all my questions and made me comfortable driving the RV. Originally booked an RV on Outdoorsy app.owner cancelled last minute. Good lesson to book with a real company instead of with some dude who can cancel anytime. Cruise Canada saved our trip!

This was my first time renting a RV and new camper. We were group of 4 families and we all rented Standard RVs (5 people sleeper) from Bolton location. The staff has been very accommodating and helpful. Team did a good job of explaining the features and functionalities and accomodate some of our requests too. The pricing was reasonable and we had great time. Really appreciated overall experience and I look forward to rent from them again in near future.

We rented RV for the first time and the staff at the Bolton, ON location was super helpful. They explained everything very thoroughly and walked us through all the functions and features of the RV. The return of RV process was also very very smooth. We were a bit past the return time but were not charged extra. The RV was very comfortable and clean, everything was in good condition and operational. The only grime we had was the constant squeaking noise coming from behind the navigator seat. Overall, we highly recommend this location and we will surely return for future bookings.

RV was clean and ready at our pickup time. Checkout was thorough and well detailed. No problems with the return and checkin. We’ve rented from Cruise Canada Bolton before and really appreciate being able to bring the RVs back on Sundays now. Great team!

En gros service inadmissible et honteux je déconseille
Pour résoudre ce problème on a du chercher par nous meme et paye et en plus du temps perdu numéro spéciale donc 100€ de factures pour meme pas 1h donc honteux maintenir voir ce qu’ils nous rembourseront
Je ne passerait jamais par eux
Déjà le niveau des eaux usées ne bouge pas même à vide il marque plein

I'll summarize this quickly as I am writing a more detailed review elsewhere.
Short story long, I had to travel from Nova Scotia to Vancouver, BC by road so I could move several items with me due to an estate situation.
Rental car inventory is ridiculously low these last few years and if you can find one willing to rent one way, they are adding on RIDICULOUSLY high drop fees. Fortunately I was able to take advantage of a great offer. The rate, even without the discount and including insurance was much better than renting a compact car one way, let alone a vehicle from UHaul or an SUV.
Yes, gas is a bit nuts, but still came in under the cost of the car/truck/van/u-haul options.

RESERVATION - Calling in to Cruise Canada/America was easy and I quickly secured the unit I was willing to take. Email responses came quickly to confirm and provide links to travel information and resources I would find usefull. (Shout out to my phone rep Greg for taking the time to answer all my stupid questions and getting me all sorted)

PICKUP - the process was smooth and easy. I WATCHED THE VIDEO TO GET FAMILIAR WITH THE UNIT and it made everything easier so really, take the 10 or 15 minutes to do that. When we were going over the RV it was a quick review and I could tell the agent helping me appreciated that I had done my homework.

TRAVEL - Gas consumption is.what it is. It's not pretty. 7.2L V8, what do you expect. 550-640 kms a tank were pretty common. $165 to $225 a tank depending on what province and municipality you are in. I'm looking at you Quebec and worst of all, BC. That said, you will NOT have power issues going up steep inclines or carrying a full load. Need to pass? You have the power!

Tow/Haul mode on the Ford E350 works beautifully. Going down some steep inclines in Alberta and BC were a breeze with it kicking in.

Visibility is good, they use powered tow mirrors which is nice and there are rear park assist sensors and backup signals to let everyone around you know to move!

The AC in the Ford cabin is a louder system than I would like but it definitely felt great when needed.
The AC in the rest of the RV.worked. It's not like home or traditional car AC so it did the job as well as expected.

Storage was very decent for a smaller unit and the addition of self closing drawers was a nice touch since my last rental.

Get the insurance! I did have an issue on the last.bloody.day of my rental. I wasn't sure if it would be covered but what seemed like a big deal to me, was completely taken care of!

RETURN - Like everything else I experienced, returning the unit in BC was simple and straightforward. They have this down folks.
Friendly staff went through everything with me, processed my return, deducted my credits and processed my payment right there on the spot. I was done in a little over 5 minutes even with my highly caffeinated chattiness.

OVERALL:
Would I rent an RV again? Yes

Would I rent from Cruise Canada/America again? In a heartbeat

Would I rent the same RV again? Honestly, even with just me in it, I found the Compact a little small. But I was also transporting a bunch of stuff and didn't have access to the whole interior. I would rent this unit again but realistically, I think it would be worth it to bump up on size when travelling with my wife and pets. With Kids I would go up to the mid size

Did I get good value? Absolutely. Search out their specials and promotions and you'll get even more value. Use their apps and tools to help you find camping spots and get discounts. Google is your friend. There are lots of great tips out there to help make the drive more enjoyable and to help save you money!

Thank you Cruise Canada for making it so I could transport some estate items comfortably and affordably. But also for the opportunity for my 4th or 5th drive across the country. It's beautiful, smokey, under construction a lot but something everyone should do at least once and you made it awesome!

Once again the staff here went above and beyond for a very smooth rental experience, a well-maintained recreational vehicle, and helping me get in and out of the pick up location super quickly! I would refer this company to anyone who's interested in a unique way to have a travel experience, and I will be renting again from them next year for the same event we used the RV for this year! Excellent customer service. It would have been nice if there was a USB connection in the vehicle. Also the electrical outlets were not working. But overall it was a satisfactory experience. I would certainly recommend to friends.

I have rented RV multiple times and have had a great experience with Cruise Canada at Bolton location. The RVs are clean and comfy. And the price is reasonable.

Offre de location de véhicule neuf hyper intéressante, rapport qualité prix ok. Qualité globale et equipement du camping car moyen, très bon moteur en revanche.

Used their service twice within a few months for 30 days each time. They gave the same RV, mostly very well maintained. Clean upon pickup. I would recommend having them inspect the dump hose before leaving as they tend to have holes and it shoots out when you dump the blackwater tank. I didn't mention this when I dropped it off (sorry!). Other than that it was a great experience,

A few strange things here and there but nothing worth noting or that stayed broken for too long. The vehicle itself was mostly maintained very well, having new tires on the second go-around. The ride in the RV is extremely bumpy and smashy when on rough roads, but is alright if you take it slow. The guys at the dealer helped with cost the best they could at the end and were amazing, they even fed me after the second rental! All in all great experience!

Both pick up and drop-off processes were smooth & straight forward. It's my first experience with Cruise Canada. Very professional service. Friendly staff. Everything was explained well at the beginning and no surprises. Would definitely recommend this location to a friend.
