Crunch Fitness - Waterloo

For about a year I see lacks of maintenance. They charge us $60 a year for it in addition to the monthly fees and don't maintain the broken equipment. Seems like the owner likes the money more then customer satisfaction. The picture is just one of the examples. Bunch of equipment getting broken constantly and nobody cares, they just put a "service required" print on it and sits there for a week, and then again. Absurd.

One of the worst places i have even been. I wouldn’t recommend joining this fitness centre. I have been charged multiple times for no reason. They talk to you nicely in the beginning but when it comes to cancelation they add whole lot of charges.

A vast gym with a variety of equipments and staff are so friendly and helpful.
The only other affordable options other than fit4less in the Waterloo region.

Lots of Machines and weights. Can get pretty busy at the end of the work/school day. A few of the machines are showing age/wear & tear.
Friendly staff.

This is a great gym. I haven't been using it for long, but so far, it seems to be fabulous. Excellent customer service and clean! Excellent variety of machines, as well as multiples of the popular machines, extremely clean change rooms, women's section, cubbies in the main area, and women's sections.

Other members seem to be polite and non invasive.

Overall great atmosphere.

The only downside is I can't find a scale, which would be nice to keep track of progression. But I also terribly don't mind.

Been going here for a while… can always depend on Joe to greet me when he’s on the night shift. Never too busy at night either

This is the best gym I have been to not only in the KW region but ever! The staff are extremely friendly & always willing to help. The entire gym has a very positive environment and offers everything you could ever want for so cheap! There are always machine available and the women’s section has actual machine & weights…. Speaking from experience, that is a step up for a lot of women’s spaces. This place needs more hype…

Costs are reasonable. Customer service is really good The trainers are really worth it My trainer Joe is a trainer I recommend to others. He is good at figuring out what workout level best suits you. Thanks to Joe I’m now in better shape than I was when I first started want a successful gym to go to; I recommend going to Crunch fitness

Good gym with good prices! I have not yet tried the classes but the equipment is diverse and well maintained. It can get quite busy and sometimes areas of the gym get blocked off for training which can be inconvenient but understandable. For the cost of membership there are a lot of perks. One of the best gyms I have attended

If there is zero star i must have done that.my friend cancelled his membership but still gym fees deducted from his acc $109

Crunch Fitness is the Best gym at Canada put there only problem they close early. I finish my work at 8 night I can only go when I have off days. My only wish that you guys close at 12 all the week days

Decided to join this gym for the price and convenience of 24hrs. I’ve been going for about 3 months and decided to cancel. The equipment is limited, popular equipment is frequently needing maintenance. Unless you are an early bird and get into the gym for 5am it’s extremely busy and constantly wait for machines/equipment. The staff are typically friendly.

Not happy with cancelation process. My friend canceled his membership on may eventhough he was charged for june, july, August and will be charged for September as well.

Price used to be good for what you got. Now you get what you pay for.

Equipment is frequently in need of repair, staff is often unavailable (especially in the mornings), paper towel rolls are often empty.

Overall the atmosphere of this gym has declined over the years. It used to be a great bang for your buck, where the demographic was skewed towards respectful gym-rats, but recently it's been filled with people with poor gym etiquette who pose a danger to themselves, others, and the equipment - and staff aren't paid enough to care.

Also be aware that there have been "rate this gym for a chance to win a free month" campaigns in the past, so be weary of 5-star ratings.

Difficult to cancel your membership, although this is a corporate problem, Avery was AMAZING over the phone and really made everything as easy as possible! Avery turned my bad experience into a good one

Pretty awesome place u just need to know what the best time to go cuz it can be pretty busy and then it chaos.

Be careful with leaving your belongings in the change rooms, I left my wallet and other belongings in a *locked* locker and had it broken into and had over 200$ and all my cards stolen from me. Staff was unable to do anything or provide any reassurance that my items would be protected (for example, with routine checks of the change-room). Locked lockers should be safe and I should not have to leave my belongings that I need on me at home to feel safe. Shady place.

I want to recognize Wade at Crunch Fitness Waterloo. He was so helpful to my 14 son who was nervous and anxious. I really appreciated his friendly and easy going manner. Lots of people in customer service have no time for teenagers but Wade made sure my son had everything in order to use the gym.

Solid gym, good equipment selection and great staff. As good as gyms that cost 5x as much. Can get quite busy at the peak. Benches are a little narrow so bring a mat or a resistance band for chest days.
