We have been with Culligan since 2016, water cooler rental and water delivery. We had no issue with the delivery, however the delivery route changed and it was not always convenient for our business needs and were told to go into the Guelph store to self serve fill up, it seemed like every time we went there, there was an issue, can't find our account etc. Today was the final straw for me, we had one of our staff go to self serve fill up and he was first told that we had no credit card on file, it gets charged 1st of every month! Then was told they don't allow self serve fill up unless prepaid (no idea why since our cc is on file) however I explained that we were there in January to do the same thing with no issue. I finally asked are you going to allow him to fill up or not (he had now been there almost an hour), she said the only way. I said good bye and called the office to cancel and pickup their equipment. I then receive a call saying I spoke with my manager and. I informed her she lost a customer I have already cancelled.

The rep in our area is great. He obviously cares about his customers. The soft water tank is working like a charm. It’s wonderful to have soft water again. We should have done it sooner.

René, Kyle and Mitchell are awesome folks to work with! They made sure we got a water softener appropriate for our needs, installed it in a way that doesn't take up unnecessary space in the basement and did a superb job on the plumbing. The difference between before and after is amazing, no more white water spots anywhere. We are very happy with Culligan Guelph!

We moved to a new house, and needed to replace the water softener and filter, which we had never had before. We got good advice about it from Rene, and from Kyle and Mitch, who came to install it. They came on time, and did good work, especially wrestling big old tanks out of a tiny, awkward space. They also took away other old equipment that was in the way. It looks much better in there now! The system works well, and the drinking water is excellent.

I love Culligan. I recently purchase a brand new water softener from the Culligan store in Guelph. Ron made the purchase super simple and never, once, tried to upsell. I know I purchased exactly what my home needs. The installer, fairly new to Culligan, was fantastic! Installation was neat and tidy and he clearly explained the softener and it's benefits. A two person team returned to my home to remove the old softener and, again, amazingly professional. Finally, salt delivery! Only marginally more money than I would pay at the grocery store, but I don't have to lug 20 kg bags of salt around and I am set up for auto delivery so I never run out.

Absolutely horrible service for home water delivery! I would never recommend anyone to use this company service… they give you dates they are supposed to be coming for deliveries and never show never call never reschedule on a proper date! It’s up to you to call and find out what is happening with your deliveries and even then they straight up lie to you over and over again… I have spoken to numerous women and have even asked to speak to manager or supervisor and they NEVER put you through… this is the worst company for home water! IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO STAR I WOULD!

Recently we purchased a water softener system from Culligan in Guelph. The process was perfect from purchase to installation. Great customer service from all staff and the system is perfect. The water is soft and after 22 years of hard water it is a pleasure to showe and bath with the system working. Highly recommend and will continue to purchase salt from Culligan and probably transfer my water plan to the store as well.

We needed an RO system and our local culligan consultant, Rene Sarmiento, was more than helpful with our choices. Prompt, honest and very friendly with our decision to get what we wanted exactly. The technician at the time was fast and efficient and did a great job with the install. We were so satisfied that we opted to change our softener a yr later and Rene made the transition effortlessly! Technician Dan Pawelko installed the softener days later with ease! Fast, quality job, clean and stellar guy. Cant ask for a better service from culligan team!

Rene was very professional and came to the house to explain and answer any questions and made the arrangements for the install.
I only had to wait a couple of days for the tech to install the unit. He was on time, very courteous and answered questions and explained the operation of the unit.

What a terrible place of business. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Had a service call about my water softener tank, was advised a new one would be put on hold. Received a call when it was ready, went to the location and they had no idea what I was talking about. I asked if they could look up my file and they couldn't. After 30 minutes of frustration I returned home, only to receive a call saying that they found it. Couldn't Culligan have done more while I was there?

After 25 years of living in a city we decided to move to country, we ended up moving last summer, we moved to Erin. It is a bigger property, more privacy and lots of new things to learn. We never dealt with well water before and we learnt that we need a new water softener and we ended up contacting Culligan Guelph with questions of what would be the best product for us to use. Brian, who I spoke with on the phone told me that somebody will call us regarding new water softener either to rent or to own a completely brand new one. The same day we got pleasant phone call from Rene Sarmiento residential sales representative and he came the same day to explain us all the options we have. He was a very nice man, didn't rush or push us with anything, took his time to see what option will suit us the best. We decided we don't wanna rent water softener we like to buy one. In a few days they sent two very friendly and very dedicated technicians Ash Malawi and Brandon Moyes who came to install our new water softener the did excellent job with installations as well as explaining everything. Two weeks after Rene came once again to make sure everything is working fine, to check the water and make sure we happy with our purchase. Over all was such a nice experience, seeing positive people who very dedicated to there jobs, was just a pleasure. Thank you so much.

I contacted culligan since I wanted to get a new water softener and water filtration system since they were very old in the house I purchased. I met René Sarmiento from culligan who came at my house promptly. He elaborated to me the pros and cons of repairing the existing unit as compared to buying a new one. I decided to go with a new water softener and filtration system where Rene gave me a generous pricing for the equipment which included the installation. Plus, I was given 4 culligan salt bags for free! The technician came and installed all the equipment under 3 hours. He was very professional and did not leave any mess. I would highly recommend culligan if you are looking to buy a new water softener or a water filtration system!

A friend of mine recommended we have Culligan deliver salt instead of picking it up at the hardware store. I wish I would have done this years ago. The service (from start to finish) of the replacement of my water softener was outstanding. Having recently moved, I was completely oblivious to testing water quality and even operating my old unit. Rene was able to visit and completely assess the status of my softener, provide solid options and all of this with zero pressure to replace my unit. Super friendly, well experienced and he made this process seamless. My technician Dan was also incredible. Not only arrived well ahead of scheduled, but was polite and courteous and completed my installation very quickly. Explained in great detail how everything worked and triple-checked everything before he left. Again, super friendly, knows his stuff and he was in/out in under 45 mins. Very impressed with Culligan Guelph!:)

Worset Experience and Worst Customer Service!

Our water cooler leaked all over our new floor we just out down in our newly renovated kitchen causing major damage to our floor. We contacted collagen and they sent a technician out to our house, I had to take a day off work for. Then they asked us to get a quote for the damage also having to take a day off work for. Just for them to tell us that they will not cover anything cuz there was a crack in the bottel and we should have known to look for that. It would have been nice if someone told us that we should booking for cracks in the bottels we buy from the collagen store! A big thanks for absolutely nothing and thanks for making me lose out on two days of work for you to tell me well there's nothing we can do! Would have been nice to know this before hand!

I’ve been using this time to leave 5 star reviews on the places in Guelph that go above and beyond. There is really only one place I’ve ever been that I’ve felt compelled to leave a 1 star review and it’s here. I have to agree with a review below that every time I leave this place with water refills I feel the interaction was needlessly confrontational and upsetting. The front desk staff, and one employee specifically seems to berate and power trip for the sake of it. The water is great, and the sales person we purchased our cooler off of was very pleasant. I’m just kind of shocked by the every day interactions, it seems completely unacceptable.

Edit: I was in again today (April 9th) and my experience with a different employee was much better.

Today I went to Culligan located at 240 Silvecreek Pkwy North in Guelph. Right now I feel very disappointed and disgusted by the people who work at that location.
I was greeted by a dark hair lady who was very rude and condescending from the start to the end. She explained the new way of filling my bottle in which I did my best to follow. Unfortunately after washing my hands and placing my bottle to be filled I accidentally placed my hands in my pockets and that's when another older lady with blonde hair scolded and yelled at me saying, "now you put your hands in your pockets". I re-washed my hands, but I am absolutely stunned, shocked and embarrassed for a company that is well-known such as Culligan to have people like that representing your business. I was hoping to install a filter with Culligan once my refills were completed, but I am so disgusted by the customer service there. I don't think I have the heart to support your business any longer.

Not very friendly place. Every time I go in there I come out with bad feeling, maybe just me. Understand they are there for business profit, no interest in sharing their product knowledge (if they have anything) or in helping customers. They do need to improve on their
customer service. Many other options in town. No need to stay this place, fining another place to replace my water softer.

Moved recently from Mississauga - we learned very quickly after our water system went on the blink that we needed to replace it. Renee was absolutely amazing at helping my husband choose the best system for our needs. Omar the technician was professional and knowledgeable.and when it was all done Renee came back out just to make sure we were satisfied.now that's what I call customer service at its best! Our experience with this location over the past 3 years has been problem after problem. If you like to deal with a lot of frustration, I recommend them. We had a water softener and water filtration system installed in our home in 2016. Right away we noticed that the water softener wasn't installed correctly - it was only softening water to our bathroom and not our kitchen because of where they hooked it up to our water pipes. They came back and fixed it but the technician that came back argued at first that it was correct. We had also mentioned that the water filtration system bucket and filters were not placed where we wanted them. We had been told by the salesperson that they would go in the furnace room or under our kitchen sink and that is where we wanted them - out of the way. Instead, they placed both in an area that we planned to use as a future office in our basement and currently storage but the bucket was always in the way. The bucket was just sitting on the floor against a wall where I had wanted to place storage furniture. My husband went in to get more salt in August 2019 and he mentioned that we wanted this issue resolved as it has not been in 2016. They told us they booked a service call for us on August 12,2019 between 12-5 but nobody came and nobody called to cancel. When my husband called the office late that day, he was told that they forgot to book the appointment with a technician. They did end up having someone come that evening to fix it and he moved the bucket and filters to the furnace room - the location the original installer said it couldn't go. Out of the way like we wanted. I was told by the office that they were offering me 3 months worth of my water filtration system free and a manager would call me on August 13,2019 to discuss possibly giving me 3 months free on the water softener too. On September 3,2019, they took the full payment for their services out of my account. I called and they said they "forgot" to process the credit, and they were denying me the credit they had offered me (I had not asked for it) for all services because my water softener was never an issue (see above). The manager that was supposed to call me on August 13,2019 never did but the person I spoke to today said the manager did place a note on my file that the full credit was denied. When I called today about the credit and them taking the full payment yesterday, I was told they'd ask the manager to call me back. Again, in August I hadn't asked to speak to the manager - they said she would call me to discuss our experience. Even getting filters for the water filtration system have been a hassle -they are included in our monthly payment yet they have previously charged us for them. Every problem seems to be explained by them as someone "forgetting" or being "new". I just find every interaction frustrating and I don't trust them to do what they say they are going to anymore.

I’ve been dealing with Culligan for years. They are always prompt, courteous and willing to answer any questions I have about my softener or reverse osmosis system. I have them deliver my salt and change the filters in my reverse osmosis. Never had any issues with them or my systems. Thank you Culligan for your services.

Well, when you hear regarding a well-known corporation such as Culligan, you hope you can trust them and rely on their expertise. At least for my case, it was not true.
We just moved to a new home in Guelph. Unluckily, just after we moved in, our water softener stopped working. I called Culligan and booked an appointment. It was at a time I noticed the guarantee is not transferable. However, that was not the major issue. When the technician came, he told me the problem is with the seal. He showed me the piece which has 8 o-rings. It seems one of the o-rings was broken. He replaced that one piece with a used one! I was charged for the visit ($150 plus), not for the material (thank you!). He told me that a new seal is good for 5 to 7 years. It's been 6 years now and then other o-rings might get broken! I went to Culligan this morning to share my concern. I was told if the same o-ring (which is fixed) get broken within 3 month, they are going to fix it for free (thank you again!). Now, there are 7 other o-rings might stop working soon. I have to pay another 150+ for someone just to come and take a look. First, I'm not sure why in the first place the seal with 8 o-rings was not replaced with a new one (I know it would cost me the materials, but would give me a piece of mind for a while). Second, shouldn't be a policy for voiding service cost if the same issue happens (not just the same o-ring) ? Is it fair to pay over 150 bucks every time for a technician comes over for the same problem?
I also noticed since the technician has left, the salt level hasn't been reduced (in more than 10 days). I talked to Culligan rep when I went to the office and explained the situation (several times). Finally, he said if the water is getting softened, it shouldn't be an issue. Before this problem happens, water softener was using almost 40 lb bag of salt in a month, but now nothing so far!
Based on my experience, for Culligan, money is a priority, not customer service and satisfaction. They actually see customers as dollar sign. I never recommend anyone to buy Culligan brand. When it comes to support, you are just left high and dry seeing your money is gone.

Update: After posting my review, I was contacted by a manager from Cambridge office (Tina). She followed up on the issue and arranged for another technician to come and fix the issue. She was very persistent and supportive to take care of the issue. I wish this problem could be resolved in the first place, before I post this review.
