Cundell Plumbing & Heating LTD

Wonderful service called on Boxing Day for my mom who had a flood. They came immediately and resolved the issue. Very professional, would recommend them for sure.

They were able to help us with our urgent time schedule and their plumber was trained professional who was efficient and paid attention to keeping the workplace clean. Will use them again.

Cundell installed a new sump pump for us and the price was very reasonable compared to the previous pump. Their worker fixed some issues I didn't notice (wiring and plumbing) that made the area much neater. Very happy with their work.

Cundell did a solid job replacing our faucets, but, wow, did we miss the memo on their track record. I wish I had read through these Google and BBB reviews before working with them so I hope my review helps others. A few of the lowlights:

- Despite sending them detailed measurements and photos of the sinks we wanted replaced, they showed up with a sink that was chipped and was incorrectly sized.
- After they left, we discovered a leak under our bathroom sink where the faucet had just been replaced. When we informed Cundell, the admin wanted to charge us extra for fixing it and completely dismissed any possibility that the leak could have stemmed from their job earlier that day. Seriously? Shouldn't quality control and some form of warranty be a given in their work?
- We finally brought in another plumber who quickly pinpointed the problem: Cundell's faucet installation was causing the leak.
It was unfortunate that we had to eat the cost involved in an extra plumbing visit but it beat dealing with Cundell again.

Bottom line, Cundell's service falls short, and their customer service is far from professional. Plus, their attempts to deflect negative feedback and gaslight customers? Not a good look. I'm taking my bathroom reno plans elsewhere.

I'm sorry but I must retract my recommendation of this company. The plumbers themselves are excellent. It is not that. It is the person who answers the phone that is the problem. She was very rude and basically hung up on me. Sorry Cundell but you have now lost a repeat customer because of her rudeness.

Your reply has some errors. I WAS a repeat customer looking to hire you guys again. I originally told you what the issue was. When I tried to call back, I heard one ring then it went directly to a message that said that you were not available. I tried three times. On a hunch that my personal phone number wasn't going through (not sure why), I used my work phone and got through right away. Only then did I get to talk with your head plumber. OF COURSE I would explain my situation to them and listen to what they said. My intent was always to have you do the work. It was only when I was passed back to the rude person who answers your phone that I was told that you could not get to me for a week which meant we would live without running water for a week. Anyone in their right mind would call around to see if the work could get done sooner. I made one call and had arrangements made for the very next day. You have a ton to learn about customer service and how to treat people. I guess you are so busy that you do not have to be polite. I don't mind spending my hard earned money on quality service which is in fact what your plumbers provide. They are great. I just won't be treated like dirt while I'm doing it.

I reported an imperfect installation and was bullied when I reported it. Very disappointed.

At work I've been dealing with Cundell Plumbing & Heating LTD for years. They are our go-to when problems arise and always come through. The admin, Joanne, is especially helpful! I recommend them and we will continue using their services.

Cundell plumbing has done work in our building many times with residents satisfied with work preformed so when we called to replace toilet and repair bathroom sink water lines and shower work the job was done right both Jim and Dave got the job done professionally and the work was done within two days of initial call, a big thanks, would recommend their work

Management are crooks.
Quoted for 1.5 hr charge $150. Turns out, There wasn't even any repair required and plumber was there for 10min.
So Joanne (Suzie) said price would be same for 1 hr as well plus fuel surcharge!
If 1.5 hr is 150,1 hr should be $100. Clearly these folks werent taught Math in school.
Then justifying min charge is 150 plus 20 fuel charge! This company is a joke.
Most reputable companies range between 60-100. No wonder they have such bad reviews, should've checked earlier.

They are asking to pay for a new service call when the first visit didn't fix the problem. What confidence do I have that they'll get the job fixed this time? Would I have to pay again if this one doesn't work either?

Cundell (in the person of Axel) showed up quickly on a Saturday morning for a plumbing emergency and got me squared away with a temporary fix. I won't lie. Their weekend emergency charge was a shock - but worth it. Axel was in and out without wasting any time and the fix held until he and a helper could return later in the week at their regular rate.

The permanent fix was thorough and completed quickly without any time wasted. All my dealings with them were friendly and professional. 100% will use them again when necessary.

Had a great experience w/ Cundell in the Fall for a water main connect. Solid work, excellent availability. Called them back for bathroom finishing months later. Opposite experience! Very shoddy work, left with a drippy shower and crooked handle. Had to hire someone else to re-do; who fixed the issues in 40mins. They were gracious enough to refund part of the bill; but beware: very low standards when it comes to finishing and the looks. Nice enough ppl but they take a quick-and-done approach.

At first they said they didn't have time because of too much demand, but after considering it briefly, they decided to make time and resolved our problem promptly. I appreciate their willingness to adapt their schedule to fit our needs. The price was reasonable.
We will be using them again in the future.

We had Cundell's Plumbing come to our condo unit on three occasions. Dan arrived on time and was very courteous. He found the problem quickly and was able to successfully fix our sink and dishwasher. We would highly recommend their service.
