Curry's Restaurant

The atmosphere was really lovely. We got to sit in a secluded alcove surrounded by windows, and the chairs were really comfy! Our waitress was new but very attentive and the manager (owner?) even stopped by to check on how we were doing twice. I generally don't like when this happens, but she was so sweet and approachable.

We got madras chicken and chicken saag, both spice level hot. I think the spice wasn't as much as I was expecting but it was the perfect level for me! We also go Chai tea, which was amazing, as well as traditional Naan and the Indian dhaal poori. All of this was only 60$! Amazing food, amazing service. We almost passed this place up because of the reviews and that would have been such a mistake.

First of all, let me just say that this meal was absolutely incredible. From the moment it arrived at my table, I knew I was in for a treat.
The vegetable vindaloo was perfectly spiced, with just the right amount of heat to give it a nice kick without overwhelming the other flavors. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The balance of spices was spot on, and it left me feeling satisfied and happy.
The naan was hot and fresh, with a nice chewy texture and a delicious buttery flavor. It was the perfect accompaniment to the meal, allowing me to soak up every last bit of sauce.
Overall, I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who loves Indian cuisine. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves authentic and delicious Indian food, you won't be disappointed with this dish. It's a must-try!

Is this a joke? $25 + tax for a baby portion of rice? Come on now! Rice doesn't cost that much, even with inflation.
First and last time I order here.

This place smells amazing! I can't wait to come back and try something I haven't had before. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Curry's, five stars!

Update: I tried the Madras chicken and garlic naan. Outstanding! Very generous portions and super delicious!

Absolutely delicious! We have driven by here so many times but never stopped in. We ordered takeout tonight and it was EPIC! So flavourful, large portions and the perfect amount of spice. The owners are SO sweet, when we went to pick up the restaurant was immaculate and SOO welcoming. I will definitely be back to dine in! I’m also vegan and they had lots of options!

What a vibe in this place! They really aced it all. The atmosphere, the food, the ladies helping us out. Super informative and helpful with my group while we were deciding our meals. You must eat here!

Did take out. The below picture is what 25 bucks (not including tip) will buy you. Basically the size of a soup from tim hortons and a tiny bowl of rice.

It tasted decent. But the shrinkflation is getting out of hand.

Can not say enough good things about Currys! I order from this place regularly, and they are always on point! They make THE BEST butter chicken and butter paneer and the garlic naan. Is out of this world! I also recommend the Lassi, as it's a great combination! 10/10 this is a must try!

Had a very pleasant experience for my birthday. Got the shrimp curry it was perfect portion size and naan bread was great. Amazing customer service and food was delicious. Will definitely come again.

I usually take some time and rate restaurants where I have had a good time. But this was a dissaster.
Let me start with the GOOD. Lady serving our table was pleasant. Roti and the Chetaah beer were good (the only good things).

Now the actual reason of this review.
We ordered mix veg pakora (raja mix) for appetizers. Oily, over fried and tasteless, could get the burnt taste which was over powering. Mint chutney was just green color watery thing with no taste. Main course - we ordered, daal tarka, chicken bhona and veg makkhanwala. I don't even know where to start. The veg makkhanwala was bland and no where close to indian taste. The daal tarka was the highlight, tarka daal is authentically made with jeera (cumin) tarka (tempering), that's what adds the flavor, however here the daal had Rai (mustard seed) tarka. Over all a major disappointment, especially when you know how indian food tastes and are away from home and would like to have food that tastes like home.

It was an anniversary dinner with my wife, but ended up being a disaster. I believe in supporting local businesses, hence my advice would be to up your game.

Moral of the story, Never stepping into this restaurant ever again.

This review is not about the food, it's about a bad customer service experience I got on 25th Nov, 2022. I called the restaurant to enquire about the availability of a dish. After I called, the call was disconnected from my side by mistake before I could say hello. When I was about to call again, a lady called me back from the same number and told me she will report my number to the police as the call was disconnected before I could say anything to her. She was rude and spoke to me as I were a scammer. I told her the call was disconnected by mistake and I was about to call again and thats when she called me. But she just said dont call again and hung up on me. This is actually a bad behaviour to a customer. Atleast she could confirm the purpose of my call before saying all these things. If it was anyone else, they could have directly gone to the police because her tone was threatening. Hope you guys teach your employees how to behave to a customer.

Food was not good for the price,

Chicken was precooked and repeatedly reheated in our dishes of both butter chicken and madras chicken curry, not fresh which ruined both dishes.

Aloo Saag was also reheated repeatedly, not fresh at all, potatoes (added after into a sauce which was old) were not cooked enough with skins on and no turmeric at all in this dish which is highly disappointing. Tasted mostly of mint, couldn't tell it was supposed to be spinach.

Vegetables Vindaloo was fresh, cauliflower was a little under cooked, alas it was the best dish served to us in this meal.

Naan was fresh and tasty, we got garlic Naan.

Rice was cooked same day but it had a taste of microwave reheating as it was dry mostly filled with burnt cumin seeds clearly microwaved 100%.

Table service was mediocre, ladies were friendly.
Started us with cool lime waters which was refreshing but it went down from there,
We never got to order soft drinks
and we were getting ready for going out the door before we were offered a top off on our waters
which were gone after the 1st few bites of our meals.
We ordered medium spice which it was alittle too much
for a 4oz glass of water given with our starter of cumin pappadums and mint chili sauce.

Overall it's 1 star which is generous for one good dish out of 4 and poor table service.

Great price. Delicious food. Very friendly service. Parking nearby.
