After my haircut with Jeff, one of my friends literally said "this is the freshest cut you've had in a while". Asides from the high quality barbers, the shop is clean and welcoming. Was looking for a consistent place since I moved to pickering, and i think I've found my new barber home.

Not bad, but the employee turnover is very high. Never a consistent barber. Matty was not great and always late

They made a good cut for my son, but if I had it my way instead of my wife's, I would have left after 20 minutes of waiting past the agreed upon appointment time. That being said, my son didn't make it into the chair until more than half an hour past the appointment time.

I've tried out a couple barbers at the shop, unfortunately not everyone is great. However, Aleks is the real deal! Attentive in listening to your requests and an expert in carrying them out while also providing great suggestions. Glad to have found him!

I’ve been going to custom cutz for more than 1 year. Barbers are great with the fades and friendly - my kid loves his cuts as well. Highly recommend if you live in and around pickering area.

The barbers are nice, but by far the worst haircut I’ve ever got, cut my hair way too short, i even showed him a whole video of what i wanted. Never coming back here ever again

Used to come for years but lately every barber I go to there ends up leaving the shop or getting fired. I have been through 3 barbers there and all are gone. And everyone of them either stood me up or was late. This place is good when there are good barbers there but most of the time not good. Every barber Bucky recommended had similar issues.

My first time going to him, I learned lots about my hair, the structure of my beard and great tips and products to style my hair.

It’s not just a haircut when you go to Aleks, it’s more upgrading your look and a whole experience.

The overall vibe is great and Aleks is amazing! He is so exact and skilled. He wrote down my haircut as well as my son’s so he knows how we like it every time we come in. He’s also a great guy to talk to. By far the best barber I’ve ever had!

The shop is only as good as it's best barber - and that's Aleks. After having to find a new barber after years with my previous one, I was nervous but Aleks put me at ease right away. The first cut was already fresh but Aleks takes the time to learn how to improve each cut so it's just gotten better over time. Not only are his cuts A1, Aleks cares about his clients and provides tips & tricks on how to keep your hair in the best shape as possible. Also, he keeps his clients informed on social media (@alekscutshair on IG), providing valuable content consistently. Would I recommend the shop? Yes but especially if you go see Aleks. I got a hair trim with a fade and a line up. My barber Was Stephen he did a amazing job on my hair I would recommend it. Prices are very Good.

Custom Cutz claims to be the finest barbershop in Durham Region and I believe it. Every aspect of this barber shop is top notch. Shop is spotless, all equipment they use is high quality. All barbers are very talented and knowledgeable, and take great pride in doing excellent work.

If you came to the review section to pick a barber based off reviews like I did at first, you can't go wrong with any of them. I've been cut by a few now, most recently being Bucky and Aleks, who are both phenomenal barbers, and phenomenal people. Had great convos with both, while getting the cleanest fade possible. You can tell they are very passionate barbers and go above and beyond to ensure that you love your cut.

As long as I'm living in the GTA, I won't being going anywhere else.

I’ve been with neeraj and Christian so far and both are great barbers. Communicate well and give good fades and lineups. Scissor work is pretty good as well. Best barber shop in terms of bang for buck in Scarborough Pickering area

I took my son to Aleks to get a fade! He’s so good with kids, I would let him watch my kids when I got to get my hustle on. Junior was distressed and he turned on cartoons for him. A first class experience!

We were with stephan and he cut my son's hair.he was really nice and gentle ane listened to my son go on and on about anime.we're so glad custom cutz is able to jave us go in again.they're wonderful.

Waited 30 minutes and I had an appointment. Cut was terrible (my brothers too and he went to a seperate barber). Did a part in my fade and it was slanted at a 30 degree angle. Trim was uneven. If you value your hair DONT COME HERE.

Place professionally laid out. Each barber has his own pod well distanced from the others. My barber Christian is very talented and takes pride in his work.

I had an appointment with Christian at 6: 30 this evening. I was still waiting outside at 7: 15 without an update, so I left. I am new to the city and was looking for my new local barber. My experience was frustrating to say the least. This degree of lateness and lack of communication is unprofessional and displays an attitude of complete disregard for clients.

I've been going to Custom Cutz for a couple of years now and definitely the best cutz I've ever gotten. I've been to several different barbers throughout the GTAA but this one stands out. Their online appointment booking system makes it really easy. You don't have to show up and wait for an hour or so like other places

Christian is an awesome barber, he got a little bit of flak from one of his colleagues for taking a long time to cut my hair, but if he had rushed I wouldn't have been as satisfied as I am now. Awesome job very happy with the fade/cut will be back again.

The best fades in Durham, possibly the GTA. I've been coming here for the past year and these guys are amazing. Great music, amazing cuts and an all round great atmosphere. If you want to be treated professionally and not as just a number or someone waiting in line, this is the place for you. Barbers take their time, are very through and at the end you the customer are very satisfied. The only issue is the wait time pre cut but tbh that's trivial and well worth it for the services provided which are extremely affordable. Would highly recommend. Cheers!

Hands down the best cut in the city, I've tried about 10 barbers in the area but none compare to this shop. The place is clean and staff is friendly.

Quick service, the barber's are really cool and you quickly feel comfortable.they are all pretty experienced and if they are umable to so a specific style they are honest and will let you know. I love that half the shop is a salon. Very clean and cool environment.

Wasn't the best, wasn't the worst. Which is why I gave 3 stars. They took me on pretty last minute which I appreciated, but I would have preferred to have been told that they didn't have space. Got the quickest 15 minute haircut and felt that the barber didn't care much, except to get me out quick. All in all was a decent job. The atmosphere is pretty mediocre and not nearly as nice as most barbershops that I've been to in the area.

So professional and clean. I love that communication takes place with the direct client as opposed to babers talking amongst themselves. Also, when a kids in the shop, they cater to their shows

The barber that cut my hair at this shop was Arvin. He was specialist at what he does, I asked for a low fade w/ a line up and he gave me an amazing fade and also faded my beard which made it look unique. I enjoyed his sense of humour and how he took is time with the haircut. Thanks again, will be back soon.

Petru is hands down one of the best, most professional, attentive to detail barber there is! As a woman he made me feel very comfortable getting my undercut done there and I would definitely go back. Started getting cuts from here about two years ago with Ian. He has always been punctual, consistent and committed to customer satisfaction. Place is modern and clean, and the other barbers are always friendly. Online bookings make it fast and painless. Can't ask for a better experience!
