CVOS Oral Surgery

Just a warning that if you are the driver of someone doing dental surgery, THEY FORCE YOU TO STAY IN THE WAITING ROOM during the ENTIRE procedure. And not just to pick them up. Maybe that is normal for some, but I've never seen this.

EDIT: I don't know how to respond to the reply so I will add it here. It was communicated to me by the patient. And it was my fault that I didn't believe them I found it so laughable that it's absolutely mandatory. How does me staying at the clinic do anything for your care? It's recommended, sure. But mandatory is silly. When the surgery is almost done you call the provided number and I come to pick the patient up. You have not explained why it's needed to waste my time.

Dr. Listrom and his team were nothing short of superb throughout my recent treatment - from my checking in at Reception, through a smooth and comfortable 45 minute procedure and post-op recovery, to scheduling of a follow-up appointment. At every stage, I was attentively, compassionately, and professionally cared for. I will return to CVOS with confidence as needed; and I highly recommend them.

My surgeon was Dr. Olivia Lo. Treatment was extraction, bone graft, post implant for dental implant. The team at CVOS is excellent. From the office team, after care nurse, surgeon and anesthesiologist. The office and surgical areas are pristine.

The procedure itself went great: I have multiple impacted wisdom teeth, but due to Covid had postponed extraction. One had become infected and was very painful, so my dentist referred me to CVOS. They took a very detailed health history - I have several chronic illnesses and take multiple medications, so it’s always critical to discuss everything in advance of any procedure.
The extraction of the infected tooth was done under full anesthesia, went home and followed all instructions. They did not give me any pain medication, presumably because I have been on narcotic pain killers for 14 years. The trouble with that is your body gets used to the dose and does nothing for acute pain like that post dental surgery. I can’t take additional acetaminophen, so Tylenol is out. I reluctantly took Advil, which is on my “do not use” OTC meds list because of my chronic conditions. After a week of constant pain I called, asked to speak with a nurse and explained that I cannot continue taking Advil and please prescribe something for a few days to help with the pain. She called back shortly after and said that the surgeon advised to keep using lots of Advil for 2 more weeks, and I once again insisted that this much Advil is not advised for me. The nurse reiterated that this is the surgeon’s advice.
A few days later I had a checkup and lucky for me I did: my blood pressure was in the stroke band: 192/101. The naturopath dr. I was seeing was horrified, told me to double my usual hypertension medication, told me to monitor the BP and go to ER if it doesn’t improve in 24 hours. A day later the ambulance took me to the hospital, they administered meds to temporarily stabilize me and the ER doctor was flabbergasted when he reviewed the file and learned how much Advil I have been taking for 13 days. In his words, that approach is fine for healthy people with normal BP - not for me. I am home now and monitoring for signs of stroke. Both me and my family have been on alert since Monday - it is now Friday. By BP is still dangerously high. It’s only good luck that I found out before having a stroke and stopped the Advil, and I’m not yet out of the woods.
In short: excellent procedure, absolutely miserable follow up. Unprofessional level of after care. I would never return to do the rest of my extractions here. Care does not end when the patient leaves the clinic. Very disappointed.

Dr. Hodgson, his supporting nurse and staff are exceptional at what they do, and helping me to remove my impacted wisdom teeth.

My 95-year old mother has had a couple of procedures – one of which was “complicated” - performed by Dr. Olivia Lo of CVOS. She is very professional in what she thinks is best and most suitable for her patients. The staff and assistants are friendly, attentive and have a caring attitude. It is apparent that the technologies and the cleanliness of CVOS are top notch. I highly recommend it to everyone. Sometimes it can happen. Going to the dentist is not a pain but rather a pleasure. This is what happens when we have to go to CVOS.

If there is 0, I will give them 0 star. I spend $1405 for one wisdom tooth #48 extraction with Dr. Robin Listrom in Mississauga office. My tooth#47 beside this wisdom was broken by surgery.

My insurance had no balance since I did this surgery. Dr. Robin Listrom asked me to go to my dentist to fix it and he would pay for it because it was his mistake.

After exam and x-ray, my dentist send the bill to this clinic, but there was always no reply although I was trying to call and leave many messages.

During this procedure, Dr. Robin Listrom and other staffs were very rude, proud and impatient. He walked away even I did not finish my words. It makes me very upset since I did the surgery and broke my good tooth by them.

Don't go to this clinic if you do not want to break your good tooth. Super high price and very bad service!

Dr. Kienle and his staff have been very warm and kind from booking the consultation all the way to the end of my follow -up appointment. Dr. Kienle is very knowledgeable and was very patient in answering all my questions and made sure I knew what was happening. He made me feel comfortable to do the procedure and his staff was great with explaining care instructions as I didn’t know what to look out for. They pointed it out before I even asked, which was amazing! They guided me all throughout the process. I’m very grateful for the care I’ve received from them.

Not even one star. My spouse had a surgery recently. But I couldn't get dental benefits for more than a month yet because they failed to provide required information to my insurance company. I don't recommend here at all.

I had a great experience at CVOS Oral surgery. Dr. Elias is very friendly and patient and knowledgeable. The surgery was quick, smooth and painless. I also expected to have a swollen or bruised face the next morning, however there was no sign of surgery done even though there was an extraction of a large infected tooth and I had the wisdom tooth next to it removed. So far the recovery has been very smooth and pain is very minimal and manageable. The nurses are also very kind friendly and patient and the clinic and operating room are very clean. A nurse called me the next morning to check up on me. Would definitely recommend CVOS!

I went to CVOS Oral Surgery for consultation to get my Wisdom Tooth extracted. I actually ended up extracting the same day. I was nervous as I was not mentally prepared for the extraction. Dr. Ho and his entire staff made the whole process very easy for me.

I went to CVOS Oral Surgery to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I do have a some anxiety, so I was a little nervous leading up to the procedure. The staff were very friendly and reassuring. They double and triple checked everything with me, which made me feel much more at ease. I truly appreciated their efforts and friendliness before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Karl K Cuddy removed my wisdom teeth and I could not be happier with his work. Both surgeries had a quick recovery and he has a great bedside manner. Im terrified of anything dental related and he made the process easy for me. Only complaint is the office being so close to the hospital, took a lot of time to find parking and still had to walk to the office.

Edit: Changing my review to reflect changes since the removal. The loss of my wisdom teeth caused both my upper and lower jaws to lose definition. After years of trying to determine what caused these undesirable changes in my face I realized it occurred following the removal of my wisdom teeth. This side effect was NOT communicated with me prior to my procedure and I'll never be able to reverse what was done. I'm unsure if this is due to the doctor or the procedure itself but I owe it to people to warn them this could happen.

I was referred to CVOS from my family dentist because I needed a molar extraction due to a possible vertical fracture. I have a history of anxiety including panic attacks which can simulate a heart attack which increases the fear and makes you panic more. Dr. Kienle was very kind and patient with me and had my tooth out in minutes with no pain and no panic attack. I was very impressed with the procedures in place to make the patient experience efficient and easy from the booking to the follow-up call the day after surgery. CVOS staff are professional, competent and they care.

Probably the best dental surgery experience ever. Dr. Ho is just the best dental surgeon we ever met.

Everyone is kind and bends over backwards to help you.

This is my second experience here and they were just as amazing if not more so than my first experience.

Dr Oliva Lo and the staff at CVOS were very friendly and helpful I had to see them for an abscess and when I went in they noticed I also had Shingles and gave me a prescription for that as well as for any other items I may need after my surgery. They ended up removing 4 teeth in total and the experience was a pleasurable one and they know how to make you comfortable in that situation. If you are in need of Oral surgery try out CVOS you never know you may not be disappointed as well but keep in mind that you may need to pay out of pocket first and claim later if you have a dental plan.

I had my surgery done by Dr Lo, she was very friendly and down to earth. My consultation was speedy and she explained everything. The day of my surgery all the staff was very nice and comforting. The surgery went perfectly you can barely tell anything was done. This is a great place to get an oral surgery.

Efficient and polite staff, prompt and precise with information, well maintained and clean environment. Abided by all Covid -19 rules.

I found the warm and friendly atmosphere, beautiful decor and excellent prompt attention made my visits enjoyable. Procedures are made pain free so that dental work need not be a cause for anxiety anymore.

CVOS ORAL SURGERY (Credit Valley Site) is the most professional and friendly dental office I have been in over a 50 year span of in and out of medical and dental offices. To feel safe and know you are going to receive the best treatment you can get within the industry today with COVID still running rampid makes me feel safe with no anxiety whatsoever.

The staff are friendly and professional, the nurses are excellent both in person and over the phone and the dentists, both Dr. Lo as my dental surgeon and Dr. Listrom for a follow up appointment made me feel as if I was getting the best medical attention one could ask for and truly thank Dr. Lo for her expertise in oral surgery to help me get my smile back in the future. Anyone needing oral surgery should look no further than CVOS where you will receive the best in oral care. Compare their website to other oral surgery facilities and you will see the difference professionalism and personalization of their services make!

The doctor was very nice and knowledgeable and took his time to explain the surgery process to us. The nurses in the surgery room were also very nice making my daughter comfortable and relaxed but the nurse in a recovery room was very rude. She was very impatient with our questions and at the end told us that she has other patients to attend to and told us to go home. You would think that we were asking million questions when in fact they were very general few questions regarding post surgery. Getting through to the office via phone is next to impossible. Even my referring dentist was frustrated.

Dr. Fritz Kienle and his team are outstanding. I highly recommend this fantastic dentist for any of your oral requirements. I don't believe that you would find a better expert in this field.

I have been to CVOS Mississauga, Milton and Burlington locations. Every single one has been amazing with me. Short waiting times and pleasant staff. I have had three procedures all done by Dr Kodsi, he is amazing. Never any issues, always available if I had concerns. I highly recommend seeking treatments from CVOS!

This place is so horrible. The reception lady was so rude like you own them 1000 bucks. You have to wait one more year for your appointment. Then they cancelled the appointment and never call you. This place is a nightmare and I never want to deal with them anymore.

Seemless surgery experience (had 5 extractions). I was warned that it would be a painful 5-7 days post-surgery, however, I was eating solid the very next day. Pleasant team and gets the job well (the premium we pay is worth it!).

The office was very helpful to assist me after surgery and made themselves available to help remove an appliance which I could not remove myself. Thank you to Dr. Listrom and staff for seeing me so quickly.

Very competent group of progessional surgeons. Chose to work with them for their experience and knowledge as well as using best technology available for diagnosing and providing dental therapy.
Mine case was a most difficult dental procedure; single dental implant for upper front central tooth, high esthetic requirement and complexity. I chose Dr. Ho to place it for me, surgery was perfect as a result. Implant was placed ideally, waiting for crown restoration in few months.

I got a referral for this young, sweet, knowledgeable Dr. Olivia Lo from my daughter Nicole as she had her wisdom teeth done by Dr. Lo. I took my 83 year old mom for consultation all the staff at Credit Valley Oral Surgery are polite, pleasant to deal with office very clean and Dr. Lo explained everything in details, was very patient and she booked a surgery for my mom to take out 3 teeth. After a very short time less then a hour surgery was done and Dr. Lo came out told me everything went well my mom is feeling better I would recommend Dr. Lo highly to anyone that needs any surgery on theit teeth

I took my 3 year old in for oral surgery and, like any parent, had many questions and was riddled with anxiety. The surgery was booked with Dr Barakat, and as far as my personal experience goes, he's the most personable and professional Dr I have met. He was absolutely wonderful with my son. Caring, patient, and very accommodating. All my questions were answered, both pre & post-op, and I felt very much at ease. The procedure was smooth, and the staff at this clinic was equally impressive. Very positive experience through-and-through. I don't post many reviews, but this one was worth writing. Big thanks to Credit Valley Oral Surgery Clinic, Mississauga location, and personal thanks to Dr. Barakat for not only being an amazing surgeon, but also for being a sincerely good-hearted human being that took extra time and care in ensuring this was a smooth process for my son.

If I could give ZERO starts for this place I would.rodrigue barakat you should NOT be working with people. I went to this office for a consultation for my wisdom teeth (I waited 3 months) and he has the nerve to take my health history and use it to insult me- I asked if there were any other doctors there that could see me in place of him and he said word for word “yes we do have other oral surgeons, this is my office and we will be refusing to treat you” after I told him the pain I’ve been going through and how long I had to wait for this appointment. Disgusting horrible doctors at this office- do not trust them with any procedures or your money for that matter.
