Cycle Improvements

Every time i’ve gone they have met and exceeded expectations. Just today i went in to fix a stuck seat. As well as fixing the seat they also fixed my license plate that has been originally mounted crooked without charging extra (which i am extremely grateful for).

Nothing but good things to say about them. On more than one occasion they have told me "we can do it but it will be wasting your money".

Took my Honda Hawk gt to Jim for a starting issue. He diagnosed the problem and had it fixed the next day. One week later I decided to start the bike, cold started instantly. Ran smooth no sputtering or stalling. Well done!

Amazing shop the guys in the shop are very well spoken. They were able to diagnose what went wrong with my 04 yz250f head. Extremely confident that my engine is in the right place as I never bring my power sport equipment anywhere. Please check these guys out they won’t waste your time. Totally destroyed the $800 paint on my 2 fenders, then refused to make it right. I can’t show pics here, but sent Jim pics of both fenders. Front fender was bent or twisted so bad, of course the paint will peel off. Any paint would peel off and back fender is a result of the two seat brackets scratching the paint.
Scratches aren’t an adhesion problem it’s lack of respect and professionalism to make sure rough metal parts don’t come into contact with the paint job.

Loved James & the team at Cycle Improvements! They were able to fit us into a very busy spring schedule and get our bike tuned up and ready for sale. They fixed the annoying little oil drip that our previous mechanic was unable to resolve and did it in record time. We will be using Cycle Improvements for all our motorcycle needs going forward. Previous owner of my BMW S1000XR must have hit a pot hole a little too hard and put a nice bend in the front rim. Jim took on challenge and the rim is now as true as it was coming straight from BMW. Thanks for the great work Jim.

I am quite precise about my bike, and the work that’s done on it. I usually do all my own work, but for a bottom end on my KTM 530, I started looking around.

The communications and knowledgeable staff at cycle improvements landed them on my short list. The work was done quickly, and all the questions I had were answered thoroughly. I put the engine back in and it’s running absolutely beautifully.

If you are looking for a clean shop that communicates well and does great work, here you go.

James and the team are incredible. I’ve had VERY bad experiences in the past with Zdeno Cycle so I was apprehensive to come to a new place. We discussed what was needed, they did their work, and communicated clearly the issues. I’m quite new to riding (4 years) so my mechanical knowledge is quite lacking, they explained and discussed all the details in a way that didn’t seem like I was a bother, and communicated clearly before any work was done. They even filled the tank and cleaned the bike! Had a few hiccups but that was all based on timing with parts delivery due to Covid. All in all, absolutely, definitely recommend!

I have been going to Jim for years, with numerous different bikes, and for some reason haven't taken the time to write a review. Jim is a friendly, yet no BS guy and will provide proper advice. He has actually saved me money by explaining why something I wanted would be a waste of my hard earned bucks. I've sent numerous other people there, and they always return. Cycle Improvements cannot be beat. It's a fair and honest business, and all 3 guys are extremely capable mechanics. I tried numerous other shops before my car mechanic told me about Jim. You're foolish if you go anywhere else.

I recently sent my KTM 500 out to James and his team for some significant work including an exhaust, front and rear suspension and a recluse clutch. My bike came back better than ever. Plus James really communicates through the process and took the initiative to do several smaller items I was not aware of.

Cycle Improvements rebuilt my 1984 Yamaha RZ350 shock and vapor blasted my foot peg assemblies. The work was done at a very reasonable rate. Have been dealing with Jim for a long time and he has been nothing but good when it comes to fixing my bike. Just got my bike back from them today and everything is awesome, it had a stator issue and Jim took the time to figure out what was wrong and then gave me some clear options on how to fix it. Fair price and great work.

Very happy I found this place! Brought my monster in to have the rear brake fluid changed, and they went over and beyond my expectations to take care of me and my bike.

Just picked up my '77 CB 750 and couldn't be more pleased with the work done over the winter. Complete rebuild of the engine as well as a number of other items. The bike runs and looks amazing. Jim and his staff took the time to explain every step and source any needed parts.

Their work is top quality and the cost more than reasonable. This shop's high level of integrity is well know and deserved. Awesome job guys - thanks!

James (owner) is great and runs an amazing shop with great mechanics. Very knowledgable people able to provide a one-stop-shop of all services. Very timely work as well.

They are very personable guys who do honest work at a fair price. I've brought 2 of my bikes to them now and they've done a range of work from valve adjustment to removing broken bolts. Quality, timely, fair priced work and James is a pleasure to deal with.
