D Spot Dessert Cafe Markham

Worse experience ever as compare to other branches like Ajax and Scarborough. Everything was too sweet like there was only sugar in it. And shake came with 35% or wiped cream, there was only 70% milk shake but it was good at Scarborough branch. And staff was rude even owner of place also rude. When I asked which things are eggless, one of the staff members told me there is one page at the end of the menu. Asked about ice cream, he told me everything is eggless in ice-cream but when I visited Scarborough they told me 2-3 ice cream contains eggs. If you wanna to try then try at Scarborough branch. Some good points are they do provide hot and cold water. Place was clean and spacious and very ambitious.

I entered with high expectations, and left disappointed. This cafe is the opposite of the phrase "Quality over Quantity". I ordered a Heaven on Earth and Rise of the Donut waffle desserts, because the images of them looked very nice. When it arrived and I took my first bite, it was obvious that it was well-decorated to trick customers into buying it. There was so much quantity, but so less quality. The brownies were stale, the waffle was cold and dry, and the ice cream tasted like milk and water. I will never come back here again. Also, the prices for these stale, cardboard-tasting dessert were ridiculous! We payed $25 per waffle dessert! Will never come back, and will never recommend to anyone.

If you like sweets and looking for different ideas and options, this is the place for you. Lots of options, using good ingredients and a very nice presentation. Kids love this place. I know it's not the goal of a place with this proposal, but maybe some more burgers options.

We went to Dspot for my mothers birthday. Their waffles are always loaded with many fruits, whipped cream and ice cream. Definitely impossible to diet when eating at Dspot. Staff and environment are great!

First time trying D spot dessert. I ordered pistachio crepes, thought it was too expensive for the dessert but didn't feel bad after having a bite.the crepe was so soft, thin and tasty, it had pistachio ice cream inside. They sprinkled pistachio chunks and powders which was great! The white chocolate syrup that came on the side was too sweet for me, didn't like it that much

Not sanitary at all! First the water came cloudy and the waiter told me to wait a few minutes for it to turn clear? Then when he handed me the dessert, his finger touched the whipped cream and he tried to play it off like he didn't. I came because it was late and no other dessert spots were open but I will definitely will not be back.

Wonderful dessert spot with great service and fresh desserts. I got the belgian waffle with pistachio saffron curd. I got the ice cream and chocolate drizzle on the side so it wouldnt get soggy. I forgot what drink im this was that we got.

Came to grab a bite, one server, answering phone calls, handling Uber eats, handling drinks in back, and cleaning tables; waited 15 minutes no service. Walked out, Mgmt should get this corrected, or you will continue to lose business.

12/25/22 - The franchise owner reached out. And I went back, the place is running alot better. The service was alot better, however ask for recommendations on what to eat. Not everything on the menu is good as it may sound.

Amazing! I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always fresh and delicious. Best dessert ever. Naj was wonderful and really sweet!

D Spot never disappoints with food quality and quantity. Their pizzas are surprisingly good for a dessert restaurant. This is the second D Spot I've been to. Restaurant is clean and spacious, and they can provide hot water for those cold winter days.

Have always been a great experience from this location. Ice cream flavours are amazing. Strawberry shortcake is highly recommended

This place was honestly so good.my group was surprised! We were gonna hit up demetres but wanted something different, so we decided on d-spot.the ice cream was very tasty and chunky, the fruits very fresh! Funnily enough though, the highlight was the POUTINE - which was so great that it seemed almost funny that it came from a dessert place.try the bbq steak poutine (pictured) it's FIRE

This place is amazing. Food is delicious and serving size is great. Nice staff and very good customer service. Definitly recommend this place.

The chocolate cheesecake swirl is just bad. Very bad ratio between both the elements. Too expensive for the quality.

I went there for the first time with a few friends; the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food options were fantastic. Since this was our first visit, we wanted to start with ice cream, but the server was hesitant to offer us just one scoop and insisted that we get two instead because they didn't have any singles. The amounts were enormous, and we wanted more nibbles, but after receiving two enormous scoops of ice cream, we opted to leave because none of us could finish them. Before placing another order, I'd suggest splitting a dessert with a friend.

Was really excited to have a dessert place in Markham and the menu looks amazing! We were seated fairly quickly upon entering, despite the place being relatively busy. No server came around for about 10 minutes. Once the server took our order, it arrived pretty quickly. Presentation is great, but it ends there. The cheesecakes are overcooked and not moist. The Oreos in the Oreo cheesecake tasted stale as did the ferrero on the hazelnut cheesecake.

The place is way over priced at $15 per slice of cheesecake served with way more ice cream than you’d need with a cheesecake.

We had a tough time flagging someone down for our bill. One server said she would bring it but also gave us a look as if we were troubling her by asking. She never did bring our bill. Finally we walked over to the counter asking to pay were told that they would bring our bill in 2 minutes (it wasn’t 2 minutes).

Not returning here and would definitely not recommend! Go to Cheesecake Factory instead!

Came to this location with a special needs family member who had a hard time staying seated and kept following the staff. Rohit was so kind and caring and gave us amazing service.

Great halal food and dessert joint. We ordered sausage, poutine, pizza, lava cake, milkshakes, Strawberry shortcake, and burgers. Washrooms were clean, they had a prayer room. Servers were friendly too. Portions are generous - if you've got kids have them share - that's only if they want the same thing lol

Awesome dessert place with some great snacks, my wife and I had their ‘Canadian Eh? ’ Pizza, though that was only okay, their poutine though was awesome. We got the Philly cheese steak poutine which was super tasty and filling for the cost. The decor here really fits with the theme and the service was also very good. All in all, would highly recommend this D spot location!

We typically go to the Mississauga location. Tried this location for the first time. Looks small from the outside but it's quite big and tons of seating inside. They have the prayer room as well. They haven't included burgers in their menu yet but the rest is the same. We had both savory items and dessert and it was delicious as per the dspot usual. Very friendly staff as well. The one thing to note is that they add 15% gratuity on large groups but do not tell you upfront and they leave you at the tip screen on the POS at the time of payment which, if you don't pay attention to the bill, can end up costing you quite a lot for no reason.

The service here was terrible! After we were seated it took them 30 minutes just to come by with our order. The waitress was very rude. Water didn't come till about 10 minutes later and our food was brought out another 20 minutes after. The worst part is that they didn't even bring our food at the same time. Never coming here again!

Me and my family were happy to visit this place that is offering GF deserts. We went there on Family Day and were left waiting for 35min.to be served. We ordered GF waffle and crêpe, however the order was messed up and apparently we received a non GF waffle. After we finished the waffle the servant came with our GF order, and that’s how we find out that we’ve been served a non GF. This caused me and my daughter to throw up and have cramps, bloating and diarrhea the next day. I asked the manager to write a report for this issue caused by the employee’s irresponsibility. All though I left my email and my phone number, no one contacted me to check if we have any side effects. Really irresponsible and non professional crew. We would never go back at this location.

The experience at dspot was wonderful. Everyone was welcome if any helpful. Are family was confused on what to get and one of the staff named Mandeep suggested some wonderful desserts that where delicious. The food did not take time to come and looked amazingly delicious. Mandeep kept on coming and asking if we needed anything else she can help us with. When we were done eating they packed the leftovers to let us take it home. We are great full for the amount of respect the we received. We are sure to come their once again.

Amazing and large portions! If you have a sweet tooth, Dspot is the place to go. Samurai, our server, was very accommodating and provided great service for our group of 7 so late at night. I suggest sharing the waffles unless you’re really hungry.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience at Dspot Markham location. The place is super cute, service is amazing and who can say no to a delicious menu! I highly recommend this location.

A great spot for decadent desserts! Creatively named menu items and funny! I would suggest going with a group so you can sample the variety of desserts, it's definetly going to be tough to just pick one. They have a very eye catching presentation that just makes you drool! The place was clean and the service was amazing. I definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful cafe, but a very mediocre experience. The dessert was honestly not that great. The waffle I ordered was not even lukewarm, was nearly cold. I asked for a scoop of ice cream to be added to my waffle and pointed out to the server that the price wasn’t on the menu. She didn’t seem to know the price; however, when we got the bill it was a $5 charge.for a mediocre scoop of ice cream? Most places charge you between $2-3 to add a topping. I was disappointed by the taste and the unnecessary pricing.

Food was so good and filling there was literally no room for desert I had to cancel it. I didn't expect the food to be that good, I got a cheese pizza and classic poutine. Our waitress was very professional and patient with us and had no problem canceling our order. Super clean place as well!

Great place, Great food, Ayyaz is the best server and Aisha is a great server as well. The service is very good. Very little waiting times. Very friendly environment. Would recommend this place 100%!

It is a nice place but the management needs to work a little bit more. I feel like management is not responsible and don’t care about what is going on as one time I ordered something which takes at least 1 hour to arrive which makes customer feel annoyed. I hope this location gonna work on the management to improve their service.

The service was downright awful. The waitress didn’t come till 40 minutes after seating us, not even for water. Our food came in 15 minutes after taking our orders, but we had not received our food for 55 minutes of being seated there! It was a weekday afternoon (not even Friday) and it was not even that crowded there, so it was really disappointing to receive service like this at such an established chain dessert place.
That being, the food was still tasty, with very generous portions and average pricing. The decor was creative and fun. I don’t see myself returning.

Much needed dessert spot in Markham! Very little wait time and great service. My server Aisha recommended the mango wild and it was great. I will definitely be coming back weekly. I would highly recommended D Spot for anyone looking for a local dessert spot!

Great value for the price! Their savoury menu isn't what's most popular, but definitely worth the try. Tried their tandoori chicken poutine with sriracha and it was d-lish! Excellent service from Aamira. They gave us a free crepe, because they accidentally made an extra one! It was d-best, cause it was d-spot.

The place was awesome and excellent. However, there was a long waiting time as it was extremely busy. I could see they were understaffed but still staff working was trying to their best to give good customer service. I waited for the food for long time but it was fresh and well prepared. Their waffles are really good and my server recommended me chipotle bacon sausage which was amazing.

Really enjoyed our time. We were there last night with family. Due to the weather, it wasn't busy.

Amazing cakes and desserts. Also serves meals and salads! Try the hazelnut cheese cake with a Ferrero Roche. Not too expensive for extremely tasty desserts. Wide variety and not too busy. Recently opened late fall of 2019. Try the mill shakes, all of them.
