The wife and I tried the AYCE Dim Sum and were pretty happy with the volume of options and quality of food. Place is beautiful and spacious and service was great. Some items however come with turnips to fill you up. Such as the ribs and curry squid. More turnips than the actual item ordered.
Lovely service and the food is great! The room is very nice and there’s a tv inside too. Sauce selection offers lots of variety. Overall would recommend to dine here.
A great spot in Markham for hot pot. Food quality is very good and the sauce station has a lot of variety to get the right set of flavours and really boost the experience. Service could be better as multiple times our orders weren’t complete.
The nicest dim sum/ hot pot place I’ve ever been to. The place is huge. Service was great, staff were friendly and efficient, and we never had to wait or flag someone over to get teapot refilled or anything. I like that they place a thermos of hot water so you can refill teapot immediately yourself. We went for AYCE dim sum first thing in the morning (so experience noted is based on this time & day) on Sunday and it was empty.
Dim sum tasted fresh and everything was delicious. Food came pretty quickly and the tables and counters were clean. Floor under a few benches were a bit dirty. Bathroom’s located just outside the down the hall and it’s for Da Hu customers only. Very clean, surprisingly, especially compared to most Chinese restaurants.
We will definitely go back and will try the hot pot as well. I like that the hot pot items are based on orders, so it doesn’t lay out in the open for people to select/touch and potentially contaminate.
Spent about $36/person total all in. Amazing!
AYCE dimsum $28 9 am - 2 pm every day & hot pot all day every day $35 + soup base
UPDATE: We came on a rainy Sunday night with our toddler. The place was quite packed. Free indoor parking (plenty spots) was a plus. They had high chair and booster seat available. IMHO, hot pot was not worth it. With the soup base and $22 for a 4 y.o. Child, that came to about $160. You can have a much nicer meal elsewhere.
The hot pot items themselves are also meh. There’s much better stuff at other hot pot restaurants. We will come back only for AYCE dimsum and not hot pot.
Awesome! The food and service are great, staff are responsive, the quality of food is out of expectations! I would say the best hotpot in Toronto! I will definitely come back again!
Multiple choices of soup bases and delicious ingredients Ordering picnic meals is also very fast The waiter has a very good attitude Very pleasant meal
So this is a morning tea shop that was delayed by hot pot. Is the morning tea delicious. The hot pot is really not good. The service is so bad that I really don't want to leave a penny.
We arrived around 10am and there were only 3 other tables at the time. It was not busy at all! The 3 of us got seated immediately by the window.
For the price, the ayce dim sum was great! Not everything tasted good. I recommend the fried squid, siu mai and the spicy potato salad. Avoid the chicken feet it does not taste good.
They always run out of something.other meat selections or mushroom selections. Feels like it is not worth it if we dont get all the selections available all the time.
Pro: - New and modern interior, looks really high end.
Cons: - Similar quality to frozen/food court dimsum. - All the steamed dishes were soggy/mushy. - Everything was extra salty.to the point where I had to drink tea every few mins. - Wait time was ridiculous. 30 mins minimum everytime you put in an order, not the 6-10 mins they advertise.
In conclusion, don't go here expecting good quality or even decent dimsum. Go here if you are a volume eater because it's AYCE.
Individual hot pot with spicy and non-spicy selection of soup base. We arrived earlier than dinner time and it was disappointing that several items were listed as "sold out", including the lamb that we really wanted. But towards the end of our seating time, the lamb is available again, which made the whole dining experience even more disappointing. Some items that we ordered never came and we had to re-order again. It isn't a huge deal as it is all you can eat, but just inconvenient needing to re-order because it never came.
Highly disappointed with the service and food. Their selection was highly limited with half the stuff being sold out and did not even have the basic dim sum staples like rice roll, clay pot rice, etc. The food came out after almost an hour wait. I ask the waitress how long will it take and she went to the kitchen and came back out with food for another table and did not say a word to me apologizing or informing me if my food was going to be out soon. After another 5 to 10 minutes wait we ask another waitress again and she informed that they were really busy but when I looked around the restaurant it did not look like it was super busy. The food had no flavours. Never coming back again.
Did the ayce dim sum. The dim sum is the same quality as frozen dim sum from the supermarket. You get better dim sum by going to Fu Kee Bao or People's Donuts to get frozen dim sum to stream at home. Will not return ever again.
