Dairy Queen

I had to put my beloved best friend down yesterday. We wanted to get him ice cream before he passed and went to the DQ drive thru.

The debit terminals were down and we didnt have any cash or time to go get some.

The nice gentleman at the drive thru gave us the ice cream at no charge for my little guys final treat.

The generosity and kindness of that will forever make me grateful. The last picture or video I have of him is eating DQ ice cream.

I will go out of my way now to buy more ice cream.

I went to the store May 27 and I asked them to make birthday cake they are policy 48 hours before so I want to May 29, so I have enough time to 52 hours that Cake making person too lazy they said they cannot make it. It’s happened third time.i’m so disappointed with their customer service. This is the worst Dairy Queen I seen

DQ is a rarity these days - classic summer goodness; they need to get trained on their drive through but rest is all good

They have bad teens that close at 9: 45pm and they close at 10: 00pm. STOP CLOSING TO ERLY!

Love D. Q, but someone in management needs to figure out the drive-thru. I am still waiting, and it is going on 1 hour.

The newly built, upgraded building is such a blessing. The staff were all great to encounter. I asked for a customization to my order to better suit my two toddlers, and the staff took this customization and ran with it with a smile on their face, so willingly. In the process of producing this customization, they ended up having a non serious accident and made a huge mess. Instead of making me feel like a burden and getting super stressed, they calmly and collectively, again with a smile, apologized for my wait and explained what had happened and what they're doing to ensure my order was correct, without guilt tripping me or making me feel any negativity. It was an amazing experience and I'll be back to the location each time I am in town. All positive vibes on this visit. It's so family friendly. I'm so tickled by this experience. Thank you! Great start to the 2023 season!

Went today about 7: 45 pm.sign says open till 9 however door is locked and employee says they are closed and closed a half hour ago.meanwhile people were inside being served and people sitting at tables eating.very poor way to run a business. Not sure if it was a coincidence but everyone inside being served or sitting at tables were east Indians. Just lost my business

Not the best dairy queen i been to. They didnt have any cotton candy blizzard and instead of telling me that they gave me plain vanilla with cotton candy sprinkles. Didn't like it at all so it was a waste. Other than that my experience has been decent.

Worst DQ I've ever been to. Constantly incorrect orders, cold & more expensive than most. I live in Alliston & I will from now on drive the extra 20 minutes to the Angus DQ, which I should have continued to do in the first place.

I'm not from the area and stopped through to redeem a reward. I went through the drive-through only to be told that my reward could not be accepted because I did not have a code? At any other location I've had no problem with them scanning the barcode at the drive-through but apparently this location was not knowledgeable of how to do so therefore I went without my order. Not to mention the 15 minutes spent in the drive-through line. Absolutely no judgment of the staff that were there but perhaps better training from the owner of the establishment to his staff so that this issue doesn't happen again. ‍️

New building. First new experience is good. They follow covid rules. They have a flow through the building. They take everyone on a first come first serve basis. My kid was happy she got a pretty rainbow log cake. Sorry no photos cake was devoured. I go twice a year. Staff is polite and do what I ask. The ice cream is always exactly what I want. They also have gluten and lactose options.

DO NOT GO HERE.

Undercooked or Raw food, Prices are lied about or shot up when you go to pay, Staff are friendly but unhelpful.

Bough a cake, told it was 30$, went to pick it up, and it shot up to 70$! We were promised the cake was 30$. Then they suddenly raised the price.

Every year on my Birthday my boyfriend grabs me an ice cream cake. I'm not a fan of this location because they REFUSE to use whipped cream over the gel pen when it comes to writing on the cake. Even though it is offered by dairy queen and is listed as an option on their website they still refuse to do it in store.
This was the last year we get it from Alliston.

Absolutely the worst dairy queen on the planet. 30minutes before closing time. The drive through line up is full. Some ignorant little boy comes put and puts a closed pilot infront of our truck. Not behind it. (Even though we're the last ones in the drive through.) He puts it right infront of our truck.
So I open the window and say: "really"? He laughs. Says have a nice day.laughs again and prances away.
This place is a joke. The corporate GM or district rep. For this franchise location needs to step up their game and deal with this employee and this locations terrible, terrible customer service.

Great burgers, and ice cream treats. Tara was amazingly friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this DQ.

I just watched a young kid working here: Tell a lady to f off infront of her two kids in their vehicle. Literally for no reason. So shocked. Beyond words.

Every time I go to the Alliston DQ location I find the staff very friendly and helpful. The product that I receive is always what I ask for and made presentable. Thanks you for making it a great experience.

Service was awesome! The food however wasn't as good as i expected.burgers seemed smaller and less fresh off the grill.

The photo does not reflect the renovations that include a drive through. This addition makes it a more desirable place for ice cream.

Good clean restaurant, food is standard and service is also okay. Great for those who want to go to a Dairy Queen with a standard menu.

Afternoon visit for ice cream! We both had blizzards and they were delicious. Mini size is just about the right size for me! Staff was helpful and pleasant.

Great staff, very kind and helpful. Hated parking and poorly laid out store. Crapped for big crowds and very claustrophobic when a lot of people in there. No good direction, things seemed jumbled. Yummy stawberry sauce on a sundae, I hate over sweet items, so food was very good.

1 female with tattoos is awsome, friendly, professional, with glasses and beautiful keep up the good work big crush

BRUTAL! No sit down tables open, washrooms closed. Apparently this don't have enough staff. Never going back!

Love this location. I've been ording my cakes from here since they opened. They are very accommodating and always do such a good job.
Not only are they good at making cakes but their hamburgers are soo fresh and delicious. Definitely a go to spot in the area.

I'm so happy to see that the new owner has returned this DQ to its former glory. I've ordered a few times now since the last guy left. Food is always piping hot. Service is fast. Thank you for restoring the place to the quality food and service the Ludlow family left it with. Thank you for getting rid of the last guy. Thank you for a great lunch. Way to go team dq!

Ever since they upgraded they actually downgraded in service so disappointed went to pick up my son's bday cake wasn't right and the guy at counter that day didn't greet us ask how he could helped just stared at us it's happened a couple times

The menu keeps getting better but I wish I could say the same for the service we received. The young man who took our order seemed to be really out of it. I wondered if he was a new trainee. When we asked about what types of drinks they offered, instead of going over to the machine to look, he said, "well, that's something I'd say you should have looked up on the website before coming in. " I thought that this was a bizarre thing to say to your customers. It's his job to know what is being served at the restaurant, isn't it? Would you go in to a restaurant and expect your server to say that you should already know what's on the menu by first visiting the restaurant website? Then, on another one of our questions, he said, "hmm, that's a really interesting question! I honestly don't know. " Then, he handed us our food and immediately turned his attention to another customer, completely forgetting our drink on the serving counter. When we asked for it, he looked confused and laughingly said, "oh I'm just so scattered today. " This young man needs to either get a grip or get a new job where he doesn't have to interact much with the public.

Stopped for our fav indulgence of their creamy soft icecream cones. Fast and easy, in and out drive through.

Went through drive through which took forever.placed an order for 2 ultimate burger combos each with an extra patty for my husband and grandson.when I got home they said they didn't get their bacon on them.tried calling the restaurant multiple times and got no answer.left a message and they never returned my call either. 2 combos 45.00 dollars.

Extremely disappointed, arrived at the drive through speaker to never have my order even taken. Waited 25 minutes. I even attempted to get the attention of employees with no success, I will likely start making the drive elsewhere when I want a blizzard from now on

Worked at the dairy Queen for 2 weeks very terrible experience the manager was often rude and swore and yelled at Young employees often for no reason or little reason at all I have had two years plus customer service experience and this place was one that I will never forget because of the terrible experiences I endured due to the management often times I had watched him barrade and swear at fellow employees if you're not support this business or the manager thank you (this place is ominous and Alliston for being one of the worst places to work)

Ordered on Feastify, cold food is typical at this point. Rotisserie bites are not it. Onion rings and flame thrower sauce saved the meal. 1 star DQ is not what I remember.

Im am so disappointed in my experience there this evening 50$ for 2 adults 2 kids no dessert the fries tasted old the onion rings we of poor quality and over cooked the chicken fingers were over cooked hard and inedible. We used to love going to the old restaurant and were excited to try out the renovated restaurant instead we feel like some one stole 50 dollars from us. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Ordered thru the drive thru yesterday the sever at the window was not wearing a mask when I asked she looked frustrated and gave a comment about how many complained about this and that the fan in the window to prevent contamination. The ice cream lid was off and she was breathing over the ice cream. I refused to pay for the food and drove away to buy some Ben and Jerry's at the circle K

I’ve reported higher prices to dq. This is ridiculously over priced compared to other dq in the area. Almost $18 for 2 small sundaes and a small milkshake. Explain why your prices are higher.

17 bucks for a small blizzard and a peanut buster parfait: (I asked them for a chocolate base for my blizzard instead of vanilla and they said no! They only use the chocolate ice cream for their cakes and not their blizzards! Ive never had this problem at any other dairy queen.crazyyy

The food was not very good. The staff was friendly and efficient but the food was just bad. Fries were smushy and uncooked, the chicken over cooked. The icecream lacked toppings. Many other DQs are much better.

Was excited to try the new DQ in Alliston, was very shocked to receive a bill of $45 for 2 adults and 1 child to eat, and even more shocked that the entire meal (except my husbands fries which we had to wait for) was completely cold. Too bad

I can't believe just bought a medium blizzard with Banana and Pinnepple and it cost just under $11. Instead of substituting items they charged me for both toppings. The owners should be embarrassed of taking advantage of people. Whether you put Strawberries or Bananas I don't think it really makes a difference. If we all just stick together and not support this DQ then just maybe we will be heard instead of them replying the same robotic response to reviews.
This clearly shows they have no care and will continue the price gauge.

Just ate there an hour ago. Love the food (we had burgers). And service (the girl on cash was training and did a wonderful job). My issue was that my wife has never tried Dairy Queen so she studied the online menu for that specific location really good before we entered and had her selection ready on the phone to order.
The order was placed and the trainee couldn't find it on the register to enter it. So she politely called another staff member over to ask where the button is. The staff member looked and then told us that they don't offer that burger. So we showed her the phone with the location and the burger option on their menu, to which she then said "oh!? ". Then called another staff member over to inquire. This other staff member then said "oh yeah. Just make it up as this one. Then enter this one and then add this". Like it didn't even exist.
So. The service was polite, the food, once we got, was great as usual (I've eaten at DQ plenty of times myself) my problem is with the owner of this location for not being up to date with their POS system. Luckily it was slow but this order took A LONG TIME to process and if it was busy. Good luck. People would be leaving. Get your stuff together DQ. Support your staff so they don't have to take the heat for your mistakes.
P. S. Our drinks were only filled about 3/4 full also. Shame

Upon arriving through the dairy queen drive through, I was greeted fairly rudely. After sitting at the intercom for almost 5 minutes without being greeted, a young lady came on and said " what did you want? ". Very ignorant, we continued to order politely our two blizzards. I had asked her if there was any blizzard they had that consisted of the crumble put into their cakes.before i could even finish asking, she abruptly said "NO", and then refused to help me any further. After ordering, when I got to the window to pay I had noticed it was just a young girl running the drive thru, considering they may have just had a bad day, I tried to be polite and ask her how her day was going. She ignored me and the only interaction she made was putting the debit machine outside.without even letting me know how much is was going to be, I got home and realized I was charged 15$ for two SMALL blizzards. It's unfortunate I had such an experience because it is not the first one i"ve heard about or endured at this location, it was one of my favourite places to grab ice cream in town, however now there is terrible service and outrageous prices.

$35 for five ice creams! The prices have gone up over the years since new owners took over, but even more since they built the new building. The prices are up and the product value is down. The ice cream isn't as good and the portions are skimpier. I promised the kids ice cream, but we will be waiting for the local shops to open before venturing out for ice cream again! Yikes!

Paid almost 7$ for a small blizzard when every other DQ charges 3.69$. Now that we are aware of this huge price increase, Angus DQ here we come!

The new owner raised the prices (some items by over 40%). Everyone we know now drives to Angus for DQ. We don't mind the extra kms since we have nothing better to do during the lockdown.

If you want a good burger from a chain restaurant, their burgers are the best, real cheddar cheese, a big meat patty, glazed bun, thick sliced tomatoes, very close to home made, highly recommended.

I ordered two blizzards which came to $17, I asked to substitute brownies for peanut butter cups in one and the other the same but with skor added. When I got home I realized they had no candy pieces in them, crazy when I actually paid extra for the skor add on too, totally rip off!

Wow bring your wallet. My husband bought 2 kid meals and just a burger for himself. Cost almost $50. He questioned cashier at checkout to see if she typed in anything double. Sadly we wont be returning. Who can afford to feed a family of any size at these insane $$.

Overpriced compared to other locations. Got home and thought they forgot the spoon in one of the banana splits we ordered. After getting partway through it we found it buried underneath the ice cream.

This location came under new management around 5 years ago. Since that happened the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. I miss the old one.

Holy what an experience. Just payed 8 bucks for ice cream. Apparently it takes over 7 employees to make an ice cream in just over 10 minutes! Record timing. Not only did it take forever, they are favouring the drive through over any one who stood inside the building. The pope himself could walk in and no one would even flinch. The manager was useless, all she did was take our orders and give attitude to the employees. You’d think a manager would set an example. Instead she was being a Karen the entire time. I get that it’s new but come on. It’s not rocket science to run a fast food place.

Loving the brand new store! Pulled up at the drive-thru last night just before closing and grabbed ourselves an Easter treat! A bit of cheer during tough times.

I have always loved DQ
But the alliston location has what I would call the absolute worse drive thru! It's tight and corners are 90 degree turns. It's only been open 1 week and the drive thru has more tire and rim grind from the corners. DONT NOT USE DRIVE THRU.looks like it was designed by a 3 year old. I was watching a Hyundai suv have the worse time getting through.
Again don't not use drive thru.

I am only giving this location 3 stars as it is currently under construction and they do not have the equipment to be able to use the the Dairy Queen app to the full extent; they can accept app codes, but not the bar scanner.

The construction was a real pain, there was really nowhere to park, unless you wanted to park in the mall down the street and walk, the restaurant itself is very limited in space, and they have no public washrooms available. I am not sure if the construction means they have limited storage space, but they were sold out of some products too.

Basically, I was very disappointed in my visit to this location at this time, hopefully, when construction is completed, the restaurant will be on par with other Dairy Queen locations.

Busy place. Park across the street at the Royal Bank while the new store is under construction. Social distancing is adequate.

I visited this location and ordered a flamethrower burger with onion rings and a blizzard, I payed for my meal and then proceeded to wait. Upon waiting for my food I watched the cook with LONG FAKE NAILS, NO GLOVES, NO HAIR NET OR WASHING OF HANDS grab the lettuce and the tomaote and proceed to put it on my buger which she just prepared with all of the above in mind. She then proceeded to touch her face and adjust her clothing and proceed to make another burger for the next customer after that withought gloves or washing of hands again. I grabbed my food and then proceeded to leave the resteraunt. 5 minutes late on my way home I called and spoke to the. She stated that they do not require their employees to wear gloves and do not have a policy about fake nails. I am by no means a Germafobe however this is just not sanitary and safe for your customers.

The location is disgusting. Flies buzzing around everywhere. Signs held up by duct tape (poorly, as it was all starting to fall), kitchen behind counter looked dirty and disorganized. That was my first impression, but we were hungry so we ordered anyway. When we got our food we walked from the restaurant to our vehicle (as this location doesn't offer dine in) and from the short distance the burgers were Stone cold. Zero heat. It felt like the burger patties had just come from the fridge and got put on the bun. So we brought them back in and showed the staff. They apologized and made us fresh ones, but asked if they could just switch the onion rings from the old burger to the new burger. The staff was polite but lazy, hence the 2 stars. I won't be back.

Icecream was great. I was a bit disappointed that the chicken wrap at $3.99 was same as a McDonald's wrap at half the price.

Can't really go wrong with a Blizzard:) older building, could use a renovation. No issues with the food.

Asked for 2 large blizzards. They were not the size we asked for and they were half melted when we got them served. One of the blizzards dodnt even end up being the right kind I asked for. The employees just laughed with each other how melted they were but decided just to serve it to me anyways.

Recently tried to redeem coupons at this location. The owner asked my husband and daughter if they were family. They replied yes. He said he could only redeem one coupon per family but he'd let it go this time. The coupon clearly states "one per customer". Husband and daughter were paying for their own purchases - therefore - two customers, one each coupon. This owner is re-writing the coupons to suit himself. Not impressed and won't be back.

The actual place is grungy well for now anyway, there seems to be a new building design coming along, the food however is good and the icecream is still iconic as always.

Terrible dairy queen! Came in with a coupon and they over charged me and proceeded to say that it's what the register says, I also wanted to use another coupon in a different transaction which I have done on numerous occasions before and they wouldn't allow me to so when I wanted a refund on my first purchase so I could use the second coupon instead they ignored me! Terrible customer service!

We had a variety of food from here.the nuggets were horrible.you can taste the freezer burn, the burger with onion rings was pretty good.but really small.there's very little space to sit and eat.and the bathrooms are not very pleasant. I wont be going back. I only gave 3 stars cause the cook working there was very nice and pleasant.

New owner is a horrible person. Very cheap. I once saw a new employee poor " too much icecream" into a cup. A more experienced employee educated her that the owner watches the cameras and she might get in trouble for putting too much icecream. The kid was like 13 and afraid of losing her job. Owner needs to be removed. I now go to the Angus location. I don't support that kind of behavior.

Great service. I was there today around 2: 30 and the young lady that wrote the Happy birthday on my cakes did an amazing job. She deserves recognition. She had an infinity tattoo with a feather on her arm. Well done. Keep up the great job.
