Daldongnae Korean BBQ (Christie)

I’ve been to quite a few Daldongnae locations across the GTA and Montreal, and this one was my least favourite. The staff were inattentive, difficult to get a hold of, and seemed rude / bothered once you got their attention.

This is a great spot for Korean Barbeque- it is clean, well kept and provides good service. The servers there were nice enough to constantly inquire us about any orders/concerns.

The food is delicious- ontop of the meat there are amazing side dishes provided that is a must to eat. The Meat pieces are good quality and marinated just well enough to not be too overpowering. Considering the whole set, you do get your moneys worth here and get an assortment of tastes.

Very good! Delicious beef and pork BBQ. The beef small intestine is also yummy. Definitely worth a try!

I had to ask for a waitress. Waiting for long time. Lightning was poor. Especially going to the basement to use their washroom. It needs up grading.

I am a born and raised Seoul dude and I hate this place with the passion of Korean Christ. Absolutely terrible service. This is the 2nd time when the service was down right horrible. I will not be returning ever again. Boycotting hard. Basically after truly subpar service where the server seemed like she didn't even want to be there, she had the nerve to double tip me on top of the 20% I already entered into the machine. So she would've got an additional 20% on top of the total that already had the 20% I included. This was manually entered due to some card error.anyway I asked her politely to change it back and she seemed disgruntled lol. Man, I hate this place so much. Disgraceful to hardworking koreans. They must hire spoiled kids.go to Mapo next door. Homie there always takes care of me.

Dang, this place never misses. For the price, the quality of the meat is very good as well as the side dishes are nicely prepared. The staff were very nice and attentive, especially considering how it was packed when we got there. Also the cheese corn was really good even though that is not one of the main focus foods of the restaurant. If you ever need some good KBBQ, you should definitely consider coming here. Just a fair warning there isn't any accessible parking.

Authentic Korean BBQ in the heart of Korea Town! High-quality meat, great service and extremely reasonable prices. The pork belly and beef short ribs are amazing. Pro-tip is to order a bowl of rice for your lettuce-meat wraps. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. They are happy to replenish your side dishes (delicious) and drinks are always cold and fresh. I come here all the time!

We came here for dinner on a Wednesday. The service is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food comes very quick and empty plates/bowls are taken away almost instantly. Amazing service and food!

Always a good time coming here. They give about 9 banchan including the soybean soup. Other than the meats, their cold noodle salad, kimchi cold noodle soup, and seafood pancake are also a must try!

Had to wait for a good while to get seated by a hurried staff. We spent an outrageous 40$ each for a couple shared plates of pork and tasteless beef. No plates, you’re supposed to wrap the whatever “condiments”, meat and sides into a leaf of lettuce. The bathrooms smell like there is a corpse hidden down there somewhere. Never again.

This was my first Korean bbq experience.

I came here about 2 months ago and since tried 3 other places and none have matched up.

The quality of the meat is worth more than 5 stars. All of the side dishes and the sauces elevated the meal and the experience.

All the meats were delicious! Pretty massive servings of thick-cut meat.service wasn’t great though and the kimchi and the kimchi fried rice was crazy salty i’d recommending going to the location on steels for a better overall experience

Bad bad bad at all especially service was garbage. Bad attitude worst service ever if you don’t, don’t work in the industry

Food was great, atmosphere was nice, servers were always helpful and food came out fast. They had cheesy corn, egg, and lettuce leaves an absolute plus. We left full and happy. Only critique is tables and benches are a bit small and crowded for a table of four.

I came here last night with a friend, and we waited for a long time but it’s definitely worth it and I will definitely come back again. The food was amazing and came in big portions. Service was incredibly nice and helpful. Aaron is amazing Totally a 1000000/5! IT IS JUST TOOOOO AMAZING! Sure want to try more items on the menu

Came here for dinner on Saturday night, expect a long wait on the weekends since this place is quite popular. When you walk in, add your name to the Yelp waitlist, they will text you once your table is ready. We waited about 2 hours, we went to play pool nearby and walked back around the estimated time that our table would be ready by.

Once seated, service was quick and prompt. There’s a minimum order of 2 items for table BBQ. We got 2 orders of beef and some mushrooms, the meat was high quality and tender and mushrooms were fresh. It also came with free sides dishes as well as garlic, cheese corn, kimchi, and egg. We also got some complimentary tofu stew which was delicious and went well with the rest of the food.

The ambiance is like other Korean bars- loud and lively! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a few drinks or soju over dinner with some good Korean BBQ.

Daldongnae never disappoints when you are feeling for Korean BBQ but I think the uptown locations are better than this one. Kind of always feel rushed at this location during dinner.

A Korean waiter had a very bad attitude! I don't understand. Instead of eating it in the traditional Korean style, I added seasonings as I liked. He thinks I ruined their Korean food? He seems mad at me? When I thanked him later, he just rolled his eyes.
I waited in line for an hour and a half for this dinner and got a very angry service. Everyone has their own habits and it is very rude to treat foreigners like this.

Perfection. Best korean BBQ I've ever had! Service is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food came so fast that we got one of those good photos where the table is full. Definitely recommend and 100% coming back.

Decent place with authentic South Korean vibes. It did feel like I was back home there but I would advise against trying the intestines. Understandably they don't come fresh and this menu probably isn't very popular here so it tasted bitter rather than nutty (or meaty even), which we were craving. It did the job but get other types of barbecue instead. Service was good and I wouldn't mind going back with friends if they want to try the famous K BBQ!

We did not like the service at all. Everyone was rude and the food is so bad compare to Montreal Daldongnea.

Come for the corn cheese, stay for the quality meats, great atmosphere and service. We had pork belly and beef hanging tender, both were large portions and delicious. Can’t wait to dine in again.

The prices were decent. The food was decent. Not the best nor the worst kbbq place I have been to. I kind of found the menu a bit confusing to me but I have bad hearing and couldn't hear the server over the music. We ordered the Seoul style table bulgogi. I wanted to order Kimchi stew but I don't think I could with what we ordered. Again I couldn't hear what the server said. They played some good old Kpop songs in the restaurant.

Fantastic! It made me feel like I was right back in Seoul! Definitely recommend this wonderful culinary institution! 10/10 food; 10/10 service!

Rude, condescending and staff makes your food taste worse than it should. Unpleasant experience with the male staff giving you attitude each step of the way. Better to go across the street to the Korean supermarket and buy your own meat for 1/3rd of the price, grill it at home. Visit at your own risk.

Love the look of this place! It's great for a small group. First time having beef tartare and it was nice and sweet because of the Asian pear. The meat was excellent quality. The service was quick and they were always there to get us extra utensils and orders.

We ordered the pork belly with skin, pork jowl meat, and skirt meat and they were all really good. I've tried the beef at the other location and didn't really like them.

We ordered the beef intestine with fried rice today. The intestine is not the one we are familiar with (doesn't like the pork intestine) and not all of us are fans of its texture. But the fried rice was really good. The staff are usually very busy so you need some patience. Their service is good, we appreciated them taking care of the intestine.

The food was fine but lacked a strong and distinct flavour. Once our food was served we also never saw our server again.
Not unhappy with the experience but won't go again.

My go-to Korean BBQ place. Has the coolest vibe, and the freshest food. Their sweet corn with cheese is to die for, you can’t get it anywhere else! I’ll be back, and back again.then again:)

Get here early if you want to avoid waiting! This small restaurant fills up quickly and wait times can get long! We arrived at 5: 50 and still ended up waiting 15 minutes.
Totally worth the wait! Korean bbq is such a unique and fun way to eat! You pick from a basic, but delicious menu a choice of pork and beef, which arrives raw. Together you cook your meat at the table, while enjoying the many other accoutrements that they serve along time. The sweet corn was mind blowing!
The service is wicked fast and everything is prepped in their kitchen ahead of time - once you’re ready to order the food is but minutes away.
We ordered too much and left feeling a bit too full! Pricing felt a bit high, but the quality of meet was good.

The bathroom needs work and could use a bit more intentional cleaning.

I had a fun time with my friends and enjoyed the BBQ meat; I love how crowded this restaurant, makes it feel like you are in Korea.

Solidbexperience although table of six had only one medium sized grill so that could be better. The meat selection is pretty good, NOT ayce, the cheese and corn is clutch.
