Damascus Donair

You could tell it was made with love and they really wanted us to enjoy it. Get home, crush the whole shawarma and decide I have to write my first review because wow. Unbelievable

Food was absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly and inviting. Will definitely be going back.

The chicken shawarma with rice is fantastic as well as with the sauce-the chicken was moist and it combined very with the rice! I loved it and I will be coming back here again for more. Fantastic!

We were at the original Damascus Donair in Thunder Bay very many times. The best Mediterranean food in town. The Fattoush Salad is the best we've had anywhere. The new St Catherine's menu is expanded and we will sample soon, we hope.

I would highly recommend anyone to try DAMASCUS DONAIR. Very delicious food with reasonable prices and great customer services.

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst food I’ve ever paid for in my life. If you like a pound of salt in your food then eat here.

Went by today after work cause I’ve been craving Donair for quite a while. I bought the Donair wrap and immediately recognized the familiar flavour. In the future I might ask for a little extra sauce, but that’s a personal preference. Despite it being takeout, I got to speak shortly with the owners and they were super kind, offering me some lentil soup free of charge that as a bonus was just delicious. I think they are a nice addition to the downtown core, definitely will be back to try other things!

When I say worst restaurant I’m talking about Damascus donair the chicken has no flavour whatsoever

Food was great but parking cost $15! That’s robbery but it is not the resturaunt’s fault. Still it discourages people from coming here because who wants to pay so much for just parking.

How is chicken dry on your grand opening? Dry chicken? Offer free water with it so I can swallow it. Another business that is opening just to open. Please work on the chicken. Super disappointed

AMAZING SHAWARMA. Their rice platters are great too. Authentic taste. MUST try for all shawarma Lovers like me. Their presentation is good too. Ambiance is Middle Eastern.

Another review said all these reviews are fake and from family and friends - I can tell you this is NOT the case. I was in the restaurant for 2 hours and saw at least 10 additional people rave about the delicious food.
My car was being fixed by a local mechanic and I stopped into this restaurant for a meal. I got the chicken on rice and my boyfriend got the rice and kebab. Both the chicken and the kebob were juicy and filled with flavour! The chicken specifically was so full of delicious spices, even at the core of the meat! And the pomegranate dressing they added on top was heavenly. The rice was buttery and flavourful, and the whole meal felt satisfying without being greasy or overly filling. We also had the Turkish coffee which was rich and decadent, and the Arabic tea which was so tasty. The server gave me a complimentary baklava to enjoy with the tea, and it was so delicious.
The service was absolutely AMAZING, they made great food suggestions, they were attentive but not annoying, and they were so kind and polite.
Even the restaurant was really clean and nicely sized, and I LOVED the choice of Arabic music they played in the background.
I’m from Toronto and will go out of my way to come back here - the food was that good. Thank you for everything!
