Dear night time indian food craving person, please save your money and don’t give in to impulse hunger order. You will be wasting your money and time ordering from here. You will be having no idea what you are eating, it is not even food. The only reason of them staying in business is lack of Indian restaurants open till late. Please, it’ll take 10 min to make instant noodles or to walk to your nearest tims for a bagel. You’ll be saving yourself from way more than money.
This restaurant doesn’t deserve any stars. Horrible! Never had food this bad, ever! We ordered through DoorDash. The naan was burnt and raw at the same time. The samosas had no stuffing and the dough was raw. The butter chicken had 3 tiny pieces of chicken in a bunch of sauce and the tandoori chicken was a 1/3 portion, greasy and burnt. I don’t see how this place can possibly last! Avoid at all cost
To be honest should’ve checked the reviews before ordering, our bad. At least take the feedback and try to improve. Waited an hour to get uneatable food. Please either shorten your menu so you can sell dishes that actually taste like something instead of this tasteless, oily, left over items.
This was my first and last time ordering from this disgusting place. I ordered 2* hakka noodles. 1Manchiran and drinks. Noodles were stale, they were sticked together and hard. Did not send any cuttlery even after asking. My drinks were missing. The whole experience was bad.
I ordered lamb curry but the meal was an oily swill of dry rice, lamb bones and a piece of hard beef.the workers were not very clean while handling the food. Horrible disgusting place.they should be shutdown immediately. I can’t believe they were given a license to sell food.this place is disgusting even by Mumbai slum food standards.
Very very kind staff.the good wasn’t good and I only say that so others don’t spend almost 60$ to not eat anything. I feel so bad rating it like this; but the food is almost inedible.
Worst indian food i’ve ever tried.i had ordered paneer pasanda, dry fruits mainly were peanuts and that too stale. Garlic Naan had no garlic flavour. Dal tarkal had no salt and blunt. They just added jeera tadka to saffron rice. I should’ve checked the reviews beforehand. This place shouldn’t exist.
I ordered channa massala from this place and the taste was really bad i had never tasted this type of channa massala, i can clearly see that whoever cooked this was in hurry as the gravy was like water it was like chickpeas was made with water of pickles and its smells bad, In emergency you order something from here make sure you check the food before leaving the place
This is one of the BEST Indian food places in Ottawa! They have a wide variety and selection of foods, from butter chicken to chicken tikka and biryani. The taste is just simply PHENOMENAL, I have never had better Indian food than I have here, their chicken tikka is my personal favorite. I absolutely recommend their food!
Bro working there don’t even know what chicken tikka is. Don’t you guys read your reviews? Why can’t you make better? Worst Indian restaurant in Ottawa so far.
Ordered the chili chicken, lamb rogan josh, lamb biryani and naan via Uber Eats. Food arrived hot and fresh, but sadly the chili chicken leaked a little.
All the food tasted like I'd find in South India.
Chili chicken was quite spicy, but pretty good.
Biryani was alright, the lamb was spiced well and there was a decent amount of it, but I've had better biryani.
The rogan josh did not taste like a Kashmiri dish at all. In fact it tasted like an Andhra style lamb korma. I love a good south Indian korma, but I wanted a rogan josh and that wasn't it.
I tried 3 items at this restaurant. Chicken Biriyani, vegetable Biriyani, Kashmiri Pulav. Pathetic experience. Chicken Biriyani: Basmathi rice well cooked and chicken pieces. Rice grains were yellow and red; color full. Didn’t understand from which angle this is called a biriyani. Kashmiri Pulav: same rice as chicken biriyani and one dry fruit on it! The chef needs to either learn Kashmiri pulav or remove this from the menu.picture added Vegetable Biriyani: amazingly big pieces of three types of veggies. One is cauliflower, other one was some melon and if you do a treasure hunt you might find beans! Sorry if I missed any only get veggie! Taste pathetic. Unlike the other two veg biriyani had a bit of spices! Picture of veg biriyani is added Please rename the items in the menu!
Worst food I have ever eaten. Wish could give -10 stars. Paneer was expired and burnt. Not even enough portion for $15.1 star is for Naans as they are edible.
Ordered through Uber Eats. The driver had to wait at the rest for 30 minutes for our meal. Ordered lamb pasanda and what little lamb there was, was mostly bones. Sauses tasted watered down - very little flavor. I will strike this restaurant off my list!
Ordered late night, and was very delighted with what I received. Ordered the channa mfrasala, chicken vindaloo, naan, butter chicken, and both samosas. The naan was some of the best Ive had in the city. The samosas were a great hit. Vindaloo was unique, as it wascloser to a stew than saucy, but excellent. Both the channa and butter chicken were very flavourful but slightly too liquidy. Over all great! Highly recommend the naan and vindaloo.
Not a good place for Indian cuisine. This is just a place to get some food not indian style. They say it's indian style but not. One thing good about this place is they are open till late night.
Very disappointed. I ordered chicken beryani, let’s just say it wasn’t really a beryani, it was just chicken with rice. Chicken is old and not tasty. This is not okay. I have got played
Terrible customer service. The pickup order was wrong. Very little meat but lots of sauce. Charged us a 5$ tip automatically. Will never go there again.
The place is very good, the girl head chef Priyanka working there is too cute and helpful and always ready to help and provide you with the best food. The term best customer service and dana’s indian cusine can be synonymous.
If you like watery sauce with your chicken and "Kashmiri rice" that is just basmati with dried cranberries on top, this place is for you. Shown below is the "butter chicken" and Kashmiri rice. This isn't my first time trying this restaurant, but will be my last as the quality has gone significantly downhill in the past year.
The Chicken Korma here is so good. I keep ordering it, so it's time for the review. 5 stars. The sauce is fantastic and the chicken is always tender. Get it with Naan or rice and you'll be good!
- No mask, no sanitation, on the phone with girlfriend flirting while working. Door is left open which allowed the whole waiting area to be flooded with fly's and mosquito's. Terrible customer service and clearly doesn't care about customer satisfaction in the slightest. - Ordered a chicken wrap and I swear this is no exaggeration; MOST of it was lettuce. Also left me feeling quite nauseous and a mild stomach ache. As you'd see from other reviews this is not fresh food.
I believe the only reason they're still in business is because it's the only thing other than McDs and A&W open late nights on Uber Eats/etc. The photos of the restaurant are also fraudulent. That is not the restaurant.
Not my first time ordering. I’m not a fan of Indian food, but this place is unreal. The bread is amazing and the dishes are generous. I’m surprised it’s 3 starts. It’s a 5 star for us
Everytime I order here the food is great. I'm not sure why it has only 3 stars. Naan is amazing, rice is cooked perfect and the curry chicken is delicious. Good portions too. Other places are far more expensive for less food plus other places don't make the food as spicy. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Ottawa.
Absolutely amazing food! The butter chicken is a classic, and the beef (korma) falls apart on your fork. Leaves me and the family in a food coma every time
Worst indian food i have ever eat. Not eat actually i throw everything infront of the onwer. He dont care about quality and no respect for the customers. Better to be hungry then eat here.
Worst food I ever had today and highly charged and they dont even take care of about money just showing off that their card machines are not working and they gonna take cash only.very bad food please don't even try this better to be hungry than try this. Not even a single star better to give 0 star review
Ordered Cauliflower Manchurian and it comes up along with a strand of hair. The Cauliflower is really really big and didnt get fried properly. I'm really disappointed in the food. I just had to throw away the whole box of food. This was my first time probably wil be the last time too. Please ask your kitchen staff to cover their head.
If you have had Indian food before or any appreciation for good tasting food: avoid at all costs - your wallet and gastrointestinal system will thank you. For the price that they charged, we were expecting better quality food, rather than Would give 0 stars if possible.
