I cannot recommend this karate dojo highly enough! For years, I have been training here and it has been an incredible experience that has shaped me into the person I am today. The instructors are knowledgeable, passionate, and truly invested in each student's personal growth.
Through this dojo, I have gained so much more than just physical strength and agility. The training has instilled in me a sense of discipline and indomitable spirit that has helped me in all aspects of my life. I have also gained self-confidence that has allowed me to overcome challenges both on and off the mat.
The community at this dojo is welcoming and supportive, and I have made many lifelong friends here. The training environment is always positive and encouraging, and the instructors work hard to create a safe space for students of all skill levels.
In addition to the mental and emotional benefits, the physical training has kept me in great shape and improved my overall health. The classes are challenging, but the sense of accomplishment after each session is truly rewarding.

I joined DKA just the other month and I love it! Shihan Peter and Sensai Chris are terrific, as well as all the students. It is a great learning experience and tons of fun! Would strongly suggest it to anyone interested in martial arts, truly rewarding being a part of the Danforth Karate Academy community!

I started in April 2022 and enjoy everything about DKA. Shihan Peter is a wonderful teacher, the other students are all fun and supportive and the black belts assist Shihan when we break into smaller groups. It's a no pressure place to learn from someone who teaches extremely well.
Update:
We were recently honoured to have guest instructor Hanshi Sailly (a 9th degree black belt from France) come and teach a seminar as one of very few schools in Canada to be selected on his world tour. This says a lot about the calibre of the school and the respect it has earned nationally.

My daughter joined Danforth Karate in January after having a disappointing experience at another karate school. She loves it here! As a parent, I feel she’s supported and have seen her skills and confidence grow over the last three months. Highly recommend them!
