My wife and I love seeing shows at the Hall. Unfortunately, if you're over 30 and like to dance, the slope of the floor will leave you with a sore back the next day.

The Danforth is an iconic club downtown Toronto. 103 years young and still going. Saw Born Ruffians and the show they put on was amazing. Super easy to get to the Danforth, follow QEW and 403, but give yourself lots of time to get into the city.

Great concert venue if you have general admission tickets, the leg room in the balcony section is horrible, we had to leave early due to uncomfortable seats and not enough leg room for someone that's human size, very disappointing!

Good sound, lots of bars in the venues and comfy seating on the mezzanine. Was not a fan of the bathrooms, however. My male friend went to the washroom on the south side, with urinals and overheard a man saying "if women are allowed in here then it's not my fault what happens to them". SUPER weird and uncomfortable, he made sure to tell the women in our group to use the stalls only bathroom after that. The stall only bathroom when I visited it was all women anyhow.
Very uncomfortable & clearly some men don't know how to behave. This seems like a recipe for disaster. I wish one washroom was for women only. Go woke go broke.

Felt like a history place. Don't know how many years it has.
I went to a concert there, the atmosphere was amazing as the sound also was. You can park on the street or around the area. I'll be there again

Nice intimate venue. Love the 104 year old building. Used to go here when it was a second run movie theatre, nice to see it cleaned up and in use for live music and comedy shows.

Great place to see shows! Saw Jeff Goldblum there last week! Not a bad seat in the house! Get there early, lines are huge!

This building is over 100 years old so do not expect modern standards - however 100% an amazing venue. There is both balcony seating and floor tickets, great food within walking distance, bars inside the venue, and great sound and lighting. For transit riders, just steps from the subway, and I’ve never had trouble finding parking within a block or two.

I've enjoyed my visit here in Toronto twice both times partaking in Vnv Nation when they tour. They also have some decent hotdogs should you find yourself famished. The location is lovely & barkeep's are always friendly with a heavy hand. Will be back!

A classic style venue. Standing on main level only, with a decent grade decline towards the stage. Seats are in balcony. This is an old venue, that has some renovated features that make for a nice concert experience.

This place is a good venue for concerts. The main drawback is that there is not a lot of legroom in the seats up in the balcony. On the main floor it is just standing. No seats. Also like most venues there are not enough washrooms. Sound is pretty good in the hall.

Always a great venue for general admission. However given the facility ticket price should stay reasonable around 20-30 dollars before fees, depending on artist of course, but hard to justify anything more.

I come here often for concerts. It's okay.at best.
The floor is slanted so be prepared for your feet to hurt.
Want water? Too bad, be prepared to spend $$$.
The sounds system they have isn't the greatest.
If you have seated seats on the mezzanine, the sound & view isn't the greatest.
Need to pee? Good luck.

Decent venue, good view from balcony seats and GA standing room isn't too crammed. Drinks are avg price and lines move well. Bathroom lines are horrible, could use some renos for more stalls.amiright ladies?

Possibly my favourite medium-sized venue in all of the GTA. The entrance is accessible and easy to navigate. The security is absolutely the friendliest bunch and also extremely professional. I've been here for about 10 different concerts and every single one has been a similar experience. The only thing that is tough is that the merchandise is kind of awkwardly placed on the right side of the entrance. Besides that I think the venue is one of the greatest! If you can get a spot near the sound booth I recommend that.

Wonderful classic music hall with good acoustics. If you want to buy a seat instead of general admission, you'll need short legs or good flexibility as the rows are set very closely together. Good visibility from any seat, but lower balcony is the best.

Ive been to this venue twice and had good experiences both times. The line ups move pretty quick and the staff is always nice. The sloped floor is a little weird to get used to but you dont notice it when youre closer to the stage. The security has always been on top of those pesky crowd surfers and are always on top of their game. Parking close can be tricky but its always worth it.

Wicked concert with Teenage Head and The Headstones. Both bands rocked! Ground floor is standing only, and the upper mezzanine has seating. Sound was great. Beer was 12 bucks a tall can which is expensive.
05 January 2019 20:10
Venue an seats were great! Bands were spectacular! Could of been better details as to when show started. Other than 6: 30.so could if gone for dinner first since first band didn't START UNTIL 7: 45 an main show was prob 9. Also EIGHTEEN BUCKS for two hot dogs an two pop WHICH was the WORST tasting hot dogs EVER! REALLY SUCKED.especially since we COULD of gone for dinner had the details been more explicit! LOVED BAHAMAS though!

I love seeing bands at the Danforth! The sound is good, the hall has rustic charm and the size is intimate enough that you feel a part of the show. Fav place to see concerts!

Went here on April 14th 2018 to go to the Why Don't We concert. Good venue for smaller artists and bands to play in. You can see the stage and the performance from every row, even the back of the balcony! The floor is pretty much general admission always, so if you want to get the front, get there at least 2-3 hours early. I had a balcony seat when I went and I saw the concert perfectly. This venue is close to the Broadview subway station, which is about a 3 minute walk, and lots of restaurants nearby if you want to have a quick dinner before the show. There is only one entrance to the venue, so you'll be lining up with everyone, general admission or not.

Saw an awesome show by The Headstones and Teenage Head! Sound was great, standing area on the ground floor with seats in the upper area. Cozy atmosphere. Steps from the subway and a few nice pubs nearby ;)

The security employees are rude and extra aggressive, seeming to enjoy the power of their job. They don't listen to what people say ("i.e. I'm just waiting for my wife, so can you please not force me out of the venue 10 minutes after the show ended"). I tried to step one metre back in to the venue to see if my partner, who was RIGHT there, was coming outside and a security guard hurled their arm against my chest, saying "CAN I HELP YOU". The people at coat check are totally unhelpful and clueless and didn't know if they were responsible for lost or damaged items. I asked 3-4 of them. None of them knew. There's some job training lacking there.
Good thing the shows are great!

This is just a huge vote of thanks to the security staff at the Lucinda Williams show. My foot is in a cast and I was in a lot of pain and didn’t think I would be able to stay and watch the show when the girls behind the bar told them of my predicament. Security took it upon themselves to get me a chair and take me up to the front. One security guard even asked me if I needed an extra chair when he saw I was struggling to get my foot raised to get down the swelling. Again, they went above and beyond and I will always be grateful. It was a great concert!

Pros: Great sound, easy access, licensed, great neighborhood
Cons: balcony seats are tight, two small bathrooms
I enjoyed my first show at the DMH on Thursday 15 November. It's located on the Danforth by Broadview station or Green P location 21. The venue had two price points: floor and balcony. We had first row balcony tickets. We also did the VIP experience pre-concert which gave us a good idea of what floor tickets are like. The floor is bare concrete which is great for acoustics and dancing around. It is a licensed, so there were bars set up in the lobby, two on the floor and one on the second floor. There are only 2 bathrooms (M/F) but the women's bathroom is clean and has 6 stalls crammed in a tiny room Great view and sound on the balcony BUT the seats are tight, lengthwise. I'm 5'3" and my knees were at the balcony wall.

Great concert hall, with great venues. I watched the Queen Extravaganza which is a tribute band and let me tell you, it sounded great. The seats are comfortable but the lights were a bit to bright.

Saw JackSepticEye preform here LIVE and man oh man! What a fun visit that was! The seats were comfy and the place had a cool rock atmosphere.there was also food close by in the area

That whole trip was an adventure! It was a truly once in a lifetime experience!

This is one of my favourite venues in Toronto. Choose the floor if you want want to rock out. The seats on the balcony are good if you want a mellower experience. Be warned alcohol is pretty expensive here.

The bands are what makes this place as good as it is! Four stars because I like the size of the stage area, and the room is big enough so that you get a good view from wherever you stand. I didn't give a full 5/5 stars because the floor was incredibly sticky and if I stood too long in one place I would stick to the floor. (It was sticky enough to warrant a mention in this review).
Also, security were nice! Just don't be a dumdum with them and there's no problems.

One of the best spots to see music in the city, I've seen countless great shows here over the years. Particularly convenient for shorter people due to the slanted floor
20 November 2018 5:47
A good sized, intimate venue with good sound and good views no matter where you are! One of my favorite places for general admission concerts in Toronto.
30 October 2018 6:58
A little dirty a little grungy, a great place for a punk rawk show. Beer is way way to expensive however. What do you think this is, a leafs or Jay's game? 12 dollars for a can of beer is absolutely absurd at a concert. That's four times the cost at the lcbo. Other than that, they have popcorn and hot dogs!
