Delicious pastries. Open early enough for me to grab them on the way to work. I'm coming back here.

Not my first time but disappointed. I’m standing waiting to order coffee and the employee keeps on serving everyone who is ordering pastries. Maybe let me know I need to be standing near the pastries to be served. Even the person behind me wasn’t sure where to order. Put a sign that says ‘order here’ or ask ‘have you been served’. Zero customer service!

Haven't tried the traditional pastries but their chocolate mousse triangles, chocolate dipped almond custard triangles and European style cheesecake triangles are exquisite! Will be back to try the hot drinks. Agree with other reviewers that ordering and customer service can be improved.

Great place to grab a snack or some bread. Personal favorites include the chocolate mousse cake, kokostop (if you love coconut) and høj snegl (if you are in the mood for some cinnamon chocolate and flaky pastry goodness)!

Great pastries, as always, but lacking in many other very important respects which is why they get only 3 stars.
Service was friendly, however the complete inability to make any of the sandwiches offered on large menu boards due to a complete lack of cheese & smoked salmon continues to be a disappointment. The server’s inability to realize this was disappointing. Shouldn’t he know what is in stock? Why advertise these sandwiches if your staff aren’t given the ingredients to make them?
How can any cafe offering Danish sandwiches not stock sufficient quantities of 2 very necessary items? How is it that they didn’t notice the large grocery store sharing the plaza and go purchase some havarti, esrom, & smoked salmon? Anyone else can, unless ownership is micro-managing locations thereby preventing them from being able to offer the advertised products?
We have also noticed a complete lack of the marzipan stykke in the past several months. A Danish bakery repeatedly lacking in these lovely sample size of the very Danish kranzekage might wish to reconsider just how hygge they truly are.
Please spend some $$$ & install the necessary equipment to push a button to open the door. Fortunately, I was not alone & I didn’t have to attempt to balance with 2 canes while pulling or pushing a door to enter or exit. Other people living with disabilities may not have that luxury. If the burger place in the same plaza can do it, why can’t you?
These deficiencies will be your downfall. I’m glad to see you expanding, but please invest in your current locations as well.

Our favourite pastry shop. Chocolate Roulade is a delicacy and their various Croissants. Love the place, must try.

Still great staff and coffee! But 2 days in a row my latte has been just warm after asking for extra hot. I have no problem with your lack of parties and breads due to Bakery update. That is growth. But we drive 20 minutes to get to you to support small businesses and get the best coffee around. But if it isn't hot and Starbucks and Second Cup coffee is, then I will go there instead. They are closer to home. Try you again in a few weeks.

I grew up in Denmark for a time, and god do i miss the food in general. This place is a godsend. Traditional cocoa glaze, lots of marzipan, fried almonds. If you are used to what "danishes" are just about everywhere else, this place has nothing like that. The quality is great, the pastry i flaky and buttery as it should be. Its not quite the same as in Denmark (thats to be expected) but its MILES above anything else you can get here, and very much authentic danish.

Very tasty pastries and baked bread. The staff are very kind and courteous. Take there time to answer questions. Return often.

Best coffee best pastries ever. Worst service ever waited over 45 minutes for a coffee and Danish. Only one person behind the counter don't come here to waste your time

Have never been let down at any Danish Pastry House location. Came here last week when they were cleaning and closing up. They still served me and was very kind.

Have had a wide selection of pastries/desserts from Danish Pastry house. All of them have been a success, such as the Cremeboller, any flavour of the Spandauer (apricot or apple are favs), the coconut Kokostops, and the Noddemazarin. Will be back frequently!

Love this place. It's close to home and they have an amazing selection of pastries at a very reasonable price. Inside of the store is always clean and the staff is friendly, would recommend for a nice brunch any time.

There's nothing better then fresh baked goods. Danish Pastry house has been a long time favorite of mine and I know many people amongst my family and friends who would agree.
All of their pastries are made fresh every morning and you can taste the quality of the ingredients they use.
If you love baked goods, or need a treat to go with your coffee, then I highly recommend stopping by. You won't regret it?

Really overrated, pastries are ok, but the service was really bad, asking for recommendation no advice, bought few items, asked for a plastic bag to put everything together, the cashier just left the bag on the table. Not a pleasant visit.

The pastries and cake were very fresh. I went on a late Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. I really recommend the raspberry rhubarb cake and the cinnamon rolls. They were most flavourful and fresh.

Absolute best location IMO (aside from NewMarket). Great service always and reliably delicious food baked daily. Highly recommend Aebleschnitte (apologies for spelling) and their Lattes

Always fresh and delicious Danish breads and pastry! Some of them taste better than in Copenhagen!

I have yet to try something here that I don’t enjoy. I probably come here too often. Rum balls and Gateau Marcel are highlights.

This place has amazing pastries and bread loafs! The almond croissant is my favourite item - it's to die for!

I go here frequently and love all the pastries. My most favourite is the custard and apple pastries. Choco cake, almond croissant are all time favourite. Tried vanilla custard cookies this time and loved it. A short height lady with grey hair is lovable and always helpful in the counter. Compared to other locations, this is not busy and customer service is good!

Fantastic Danish food bread, cookies cakes etc coffee great too and rum balls are my favourite luv this place!

I've been coming to DPH since they were a little place in the Cawthra/Lakeshore area. Everything is fresh, baked with heart & soul with attention to quality.

Breads are great, particularly dark rye for smørrebrød, delicious pastries that are enjoyed at any time. Highly recommend any of their locations.

Love love love the chocolate mousse cake.

I've had a couple croissants from here (they call them smorhorns) that were overdone on the bottom, but honestly the portion sizes are so good and everything tastes and smells amazing.

Love this place! Always place large order at Christmas. Place order a month in advance and pickup Christmas Eve so it is fresh.

Fantastic! Of c ppl urse the pastries are awesome but surprisingly, so is the coffee! And great service.

Don’t waste your money. The service is unfriendly, super expensive, the coffee sucks and they’re extremely unwelcoming towards families. There are so many better cafes and bakeries around that don’t glare at us while we eat.

Freshly baked every day, even bread. Mouth watering taste. Sit and enjoy with something to drink be it coffee, tea brewed fresh. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Totally recommended for its taste and cafe vibe

This place is heaven. All their pastrys are amazing and I don't mean really good I mean truly amazing. If you get some right when they have just been made (in the morning) you mind and mouth will be filled with bliss. The place also sells some other lunch stuff like some bread and soup coffee and some other stuff I don't remember. Just as a final bonus did you know Danish pastrys are actually Austrian.

So disappointed. I recommended this place to many of my friends and family as it was a favourite for pastries. Now their quality has gone down it seems. Bought a dozen pastries today. They were awful dripping with butter to such a point that we had to spit it out. How do you go from good to actually gross?

Absolutely wonderful! The pastries are flaky and delicious.no other local bakery comes close. If you have loved bakeries in Europe, then this is the place to go! And "real" bread!

Food is good. Coffee is weak. Staff members had to apologize for broken coffee machine. Workers were very polite and efficient.

The espresso is awesome and I'm a coffee person. The pastries are different from what you see everywhere else which is nice, always fresh and delicious as well.

Large variety of fresh Danish pastries. Personal favorites are Chocolade Roulade, Raspberry Butterhorn.

I was the DPH's biggest fan from the very start, but it's definitely not what it used to be and pastry portions have become absurdly small - even the jam isn't the same anymore. I'm amazed that they can make dough that thin and weightless!

Delicious pastries especially croissants and the "gateau marcel" (gluten free chocolate cake). The americano is served piping hot and absolutely delicious. Everything I have tried here has been worth the price and calories!

The Danish I had - chocolate covered heaven - was quite delicious. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

The best Danish pastries in town. Well, probably the only authentic Danish pastries in town, but they are delicious. Very good rugbrød (dark rye bread) and other breads. They serve smørrebrød (open faced sandwiches) and a couple of other Danish foods on the weekend. I also had an amazing skyr parfait there. Sadly the expanded food options are currently available at this location only, but it's worth the trip

I love coming here. The pastries are not too sweet. There's always a hint of marzipan. Royal crown is one of my favourites.

What was once a hidden gem in Port Credit, and then Oakville has just become too commercialized. The quality of their baked goods has decreased significantly and perhaps due to them putting more care into expanding (quantity) over quality control. My latest experience will sadly be my last. I always wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and kept giving them another chance but what I received yesterday was a far cry from what used to be layered and flaky. It is now paper thin danish dough. This tasted more like a supermarket danish, which was way too soft and really soggy. Piece was also very small in comparison to past experiences. I would rather pay more and get better quality than whatever it was that I had received. Very disappointing.

If you are reading this review you probably like coffee, pastry and sweet treats. Well, look no further! Its the best. Seriously, check out the photos! Or better yet, go there right now and try a tart!

Pastries were delicious, but customer service wasn't that friendly. Sort of felt like we were bothering the staff there by taking our time to look at the pastries as it was our first time there. There wasn't a line or anyone else waiting so I don't know why they were making us feel like we should hurry up and get out.
