Visited this Persian restaurant recently. I opted for a plate with chicken breast, koobideh, and Barg kababs. The chicken breast and koobideh kababs were delicious, but the Barg was a bit on the dry side. One noteworthy feature is the option to choose bread or salad instead of the default rice that comes with the plates. I went for bread and baghali polo; the bread portion was a tad small, but the baghali polo was quite good. Overall, it's a decent place, and I'd appreciate it if they could consider offering larger servings of rice or bread in the future

Extremely rude customer service! Long wait times, mediocre food, disorganized staff! Lack of adequate parking spots and constant fear of your car getting towed! Extremely long wait time for food preparation! Should I say more? ! I recommend going somewhere else to have a better experience! You would find better Persian cuisine elsewhere in the area!

The food is excellent. You can't go wrong if you like clean meats. The dining space is small and the parking around the building is not plentiful. But it is worth it to go there.

Ordered food through Uber eats and talked to the restaurant for confirmation of the order. Received the cancellation email around 9pm without any explanation. We called the restaurant and the answering machine was full. That was our first experience with this restaurant as we were visiting Toronto. Be careful if you have a large party and have a second plan if you are ordering from them.

Servers were very impatient & unhelpful. It seemed to easily show their previous anger at dealing with customers, and despite the good food of excellent quality, I would not recommend this restaurant for dining due to the way it of dealing with customers. I think when a customer feels their expectations were not met, they prefer to remove the option from their future choices. Experienced employees are better than younger ones. It strongly affects the restaurant business.

Everything was excellent and the taste was very good and clean and similar to the taste of Iran, but I wish the broth came in a separate bowl like in Iran and the bread was stone instead of tafton.

I went to darband today with my friends, we had really good persian food, kababs are amazing.customer service was on point they kept checking on us if we need anything. The gentleman who was serving us was really patient explaining to my non persian friends with details.

Darband restaurant has given me one of the worst experiences of ordering food. This weekend I was having a guest that I haven’t seen in 10 years I ordered some food from Darband 2 hours before so I’m prepared! After waiting food about an hour uber eats said the restaurant have cancelled my order! Now my guest is arriving and I have no food! I called the restaurant and the reason they said they did it was that there was a order (zereshk polo) that has a tahdig in it (a little piece of crispy rice on the side of the dish!) and they canceled on me after and hour! Any other restaurant would handle this situation better or just put something else like a little thing on the side! But they simply canceled cause they don’t care about their customers! They told me to put my order again but choose an alternative for that one (zereshk polo). I finally got my food after another hour! Few days later I realized I had 2 charges on my ubereats and uber didn’t accept to refund me somehow saying YOU HAVE CANCELLED THE ORDER NOT THE RESTAURANT! I called the restaurant and explained what happened the lady on the phone was sooo. Rude! Soo unprofessional she basically said honey it is what it is! So paid 150$ extra for nothing! Thanks darband. You lost a customer and hopefully people see how unprofessional you are!

We were four people, served by Pouyan, he has been very friendly and quick. We ordered Chenjeh, Barg, and Salari. The food quality and service were impeccable. To us, Darband restaurant is the best place for Persian cuisine so far in Toronto. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars for atmosphere is the place is not spacious and there is not enough distance between tables.

Our experience with their customer service was infuriating. Despite our request for an available table, we were told it was reserved for the next group, which we accepted, given their claim that the following party consisted of six people (more than ours). However, upon their arrival, we discovered they were only four—a blatant lie. The misinformation, coupled with the discomfort of being seated near the extremely cold and windy door, left our food cold and us freezing.

To add to the frustration, our waitress, in an act of sheer rudeness, intentionally delayed my spouse's order by over ten minutes compared to others. Their dishonesty and rude behavior made this dining experience not only highly unprofessional but also completely unacceptable.

Honestly, they really need to sort out their messy management and policies. It feels like they're not putting much thought into their customers.

I had the ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE! Initially, I was concerned that the taste might not be the same, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered their Kale pache & koobideh, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it! I will definitely be back with my family.

Love this restaurant, excellent customer service, delicious foods, their kebabs is the best I have tried among Persian restaurants. We are a regular customer, we have ordered food for birthdays, parties, and we order uber eats almost every week, never had a bad experience.

Darband restaurant has consistently been my go-to choice for family and business gatherings. If you are not aware of the Persian cuisine and trying for the first time please be aware that some guys in the front have very little patience to explain but for sure the second time you will love it for sure. Meat was well cooked and tendered with flavours.

If you wanna try some authentic Persian dishes this place is must try.

Only reason for 4 star is because of lack of patience for some of the staff.
