D'Arcy McGee's

Had to lower my review rating due to a bad experience in December. The bar tender kept cutting us off even though we were only on our second drink. I understand she wanted to be careful but you can't start cutting people off at 7 pm on a Friday on their 2nd drink! And that too on my birthday. Was pretty disappointed. We ended up going back home and having more drinks. You guys saved our money!

When I came to Darcys earlier, I had seen people having multiple drinks and shots and they weren't turned away.

I waited 2 hours for my food just for them to cancel at the end I get they're busy but coulda just not accepted the order guys a real bummer

Went tonight since we had some good meals in the past. Was sat at same table when we first went. Apparently tables being “sticky” is seen as a positive thing.

Drinks had no fizz whatsoever and tasted like someone opened a can of soda and left it open for two days. Replacement drink also did not have fizz. Gave up. Still charged full price.

Shepherd’s fry had a tree’s worth of herbs tossed on top of the meal as if someone had tripped carrying it. Peas looked like they came out of a can. (That dark green colour is always telling). Fries had no salt. I could not finish it (and I was starving).

Kids would not touch the chicken tenders because of their weird batter that looks like it burned.

Really went downhill. Service was slow. Happy they at least comped one kid meal. If this is a new chef, hope they replace them.

Great service from Kim for dinner and drinks tonight. Quick, attentive, and considerate. Clean atmosphere with a great ambiance.

Called and made a reservation, when we arrived they did not have it. Got a table anyway, but it took almost an hour for wings to arrive. The restaurant was not busy, so I have no idea why service was so slow! One order was missing and one was wrong. Very disappointed!

Really disappointing experience. Waited 15 minutes before a manager noticed we weren’t helped. Then waited 30 minutes to be told by our server (who looked like she hated her job and could care less about us) our food would be 10 minutes more. It’s just a couple burgers guys.

We asked for the manager as we had to leave and no one came. So we left hungry and a little confused to be honest.

Would highly not recommend this place. Atmosphere was great, service was a dumpster fire. Can’t comment on the food as it likely wasn’t even made.

Wow.what a difference since the last time we were here. Food was amazing.our server Brittany out of this world. There is a calmness to the vibe.we will be back.

The cook is amazing.
Portions are a good size too.
Irish pub but doesn't carry Smith-Wick (smitick) beer?
Prices are reasonable.

Good food good service nice place. I understand inflation and food prices are up but $15 barely a handful of cauliflower wings is nuts. Other places for a similar price you get enough for 2 people, which is what an appetizer should be.

I ordered twice thru skip, neither order ever arrived and they do t pick up the phone. Pure abstruse, sloppy customer. Go any where but here

We used to enjoy this place. The physical premises are run down - but that is forgivable as just about any restaurant is trying to recover from pandemic closures.but you can't serve food that was portioned out three days ago. My meal looked tired and as thought it had been re-heated. The pico was brownish.

On the upside, the fish tacos were good.

I'm sure they would blame it on "the supply chain" but 7: 00 pm (or maybe a bit earlier) on a Saturday night and they were out of my first three menu choices and running low on a few more items. The food I eventually ordered was good though.

They should probably hire a few more servers too.

Staff is doing a great job despite supply and economic challenges. Beer needs to be colder.maybe consider chilled glasses too! Food options further limited by supply issues.

Good food, good beer, friendly staff. Had the guiness steak and mushroom bowl which was excellent and a pint from the Perth Brewery. Our server, Katy, was great.

Really fantastic fresh home made food. Absolutely delicious. I had the Guiness Steak and mushroom bowl. At first I thought it was mostly gravy/sauce but then I found the beef and odd mushroom and homemade mashed on top. SO good. The mini yorkie bowls were light and crispy and perfect for scooping up all the delicious sauce and gravy. I feel bad they weren't bigger! I chose the guacamole and chips as my side. There was a ton of chips and a tiny cup of guacamole but it was SO good I immediately asked for a few more sides of guac (*which i ended up taking to go cause i was stuffed!). My friend had the pubs bacon cheeseburger which was also really good. Fresh cut fries were really good. Service was excellent and staff was excellent. By the way one of us was in a wheelchair and I was told previously that the place was not really wheelchair accessible by the waitress nor could they accommodate us so we left and haven't returned til today (I wanted that pub pie!). We sat on the patio and had no problems but did not go inside this visit. Would definitely recommend for the food and service. Will definitely be back. A+.

The food was very good. There were 6 in our party, we all had different dishes. Food arrived very hot, waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. It was very quiet when we visited early afternoon on Sunday. Have eaten here before and have enjoyed the food both times. Will visit again.

My only critique is that everytime I've been in the last few years they're always out of something, but they're always able to accommodate.

Cook needs more training, my fish had a burnt taste. The fish there is usually great as I've been going there for years.

Fish and chips take out. Good food, good sized servings. Fair price. Was ready when promised.

Service was very good. We were just here for a beverage and apps, we ordered the thick cot calamari it came with a greasy breading and over cooked. Maybe an off night I don’t know but I wouldn’t order it again

Food was great but service was very poor. We were pretty much ignored as we were waiting 20 minutes to be served, with no given cutlery or water.

So noisy that I finished my drink and left, band was obscenely loud, could not even hear waitress standing at table, will never go back which is too bad because wanted to try fish and chips

The servers are always friendly and quick. We go here often because while it's not crazy busy the food and live entertainment are always good. Great spot for a date or to catch up with a friend.

We booked a large group seating on a weeknight, including kids. The facility was very accommodating to our requests. Servers were friendly and attentive. I'm positive they were smiling under their masks. Food was delicious.

Great atmosphere and definitely solid food value for your serving size. A good selection of local beers as well as the regulars. Staff is awesome.

Was in kanata with a couple of friends visiting, the food was amazing, prices were reasonable, and the service was impeccable. My friends and I loved the experience, decided we will be coming back next time they come visit.

Our server was a delight and very polite explaining the covid rules. Even while serving some very rude clients.

They sponsor our soccer league. We went with a large group after an 8pm game. Drinks and food were delicious. The wings were fantastic as well as the lattice nachos. Service with a "smile" as well. We'll continue to have post game pints here!

We went after our game as a team and had quick and prompt service. Everyone who interacted with us was pleasant and very friendly. The food and drinks came quickly after ordering and never did we feel forgotten even though we were the only table on the patio.

Overall, looking forward to going back.

I just ate one of the best burgers I can remember eating here, and my wife enjoyed a truly killer raspberry cocktail. They also rotate in a few local beer taps, instead of sticking to the standard imported fare of some of the other pub chains in town.

Don't worry though - Guinness and Jameson are still readily available.

Ordered fish and chips for take out - it was quite awful - the fish was overcooked and the chips were cold and old. We have also ordered this in the restaurant and received small discount off bill when we pointed out we hadn't finished our plates due to overcooked fish - batter inedible and chips undercooked - we made comment that cook needs to watch the timing of this meal - we have also had it perfect but it's not a guarantee

Amazing staff! Waitress was amazing! We were even allowed to dine on patio with our boxer Bella! Thank you soooo much! Nicole is the go to server we loved her so much and she also treated our little one with crayons and games! We will be back sooner than later! Our food was fabulous!?

We have enjoyed the take out during COVID very much. The customer service is fantastic. We had an issue with a meal a couple of weeks back, I was told to stop by for a gift certificate the next day. Due to other commitments I was unable to stop in. I called today the server remembered me and applied the gift certificate.
The food is delicious.

Ordered chicken nachos and didn't get any chicken. Hardly any cheese and so many chips around the edges and underneath without any cheese. What's the point? Guacamole was not really Guacamole, it was mashed up avocado. Service was great though.

For Dining at this D'Arcy McGee's Location and for being at D'Arcy McGee's for the first time ever I Absolutely Love the Food was Yummy. I Strongly Recommended this Place and Location and The Employee are Friendly.

Many times have had to wait quite a long time to pick up a DoorDash order from this location. Often times waited well past the pick up time listed

It had been almost one year since our last visit and I was welcomed like family. The menu was somewhat smaller but it is understandable since COVID has impacted the way the restaurant operates. All in all the choices were adequate and we both founded something for our taste buds. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was hot and tasty. The drinks so so. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

This location is but a stone's throw from our place. D'Arcy's is our (go-to) watering hole. Service is great and the staff is friendly. Love the wings!

We came in on St. Patrick's Day for dinner and were seated almost immediately. Everyone was seated accordingly as per COVID rules. Our server was new and did a great job for the 4 of us. Food was great, had burgers, calamari and shepperds pie appetizers.

Yummy! Had the steak and yorkie and was not disappointed. Could have used a few more beef chunks in the bowl but overall was a tasty dinner. Ordered take out. Staff very friendly and food was hot.

Staff is hit or miss, Rueben was soggy and cold and I find it odd the restaurant doesn't have AC throughout the summer. Our first waitress was switched out half way through and it definitely improved the experience.

Great service and friendly staff.and pretty good food considering prices are pretty cheap. Love the large patios. Perfect spot during covid-19. Staff wears masks and felt safe as we were spread out!

Came by on Tuesday night and stayed from 7: 45pm-10: 00pm. Our server was incredible, wish I would have caught her name! She was working so hard though she had to wear a mask (and it was quite humid) and was pregnant! I will gladly come again to Darcy's and will bring everyone that I know based on the teams service.

I would like to add that there was a small mixup with my boyfriend and I's orders. It was rectified and we both left happier than when we came. These are hard times, and for our first date in 3 months Darcy's did an amazing job. Thank you for helping our community with a smile!

This place was friendly, speedy and tasty! We were seated on the patio right away with out a reservation and our orders came quickly. The server was helpful and friendly.

I used to be addicted to D’Arcy McGee’s. Then they overhauled their menus and removed all of the best stuff which, I might add, I still crave regularly.

Hostess was busy talking with bartender so we had to wait approximately five minutes to be seated. Waitress looked our way several times but did not approach our table. She played with the television remotes, served another patron and basically ignored us. We waited for approximately twenty minutes without service. We got up and left. This is the second time we experienced poor service in this location. This restaurant has definitely lost our business.

This is a very special place in downtown Hamilton. It is decorated in an original and very authentic Portuguese style. If you have ever been to that country this will bring back memories! It had mussels, scallops, crab legs, clams, and shrimp which was steamed and some were sautéed in garlic.

Great spot. But would of liked to see our server check up on us a little more. Especially since there wasn't many people in here. Besides that the beer was great.

Very tasty food! And everything was decently portioned! Waiters were super nice and kept us updated when our Chowder didn't come out in time.

I recommend the Guiness Beef and Mushroom as well as the Lamb Shank:) definitely will need to come back here again!

We came this evening for a birthday dinner and we were turned away at the door. The hostess said they were full and the manager had told her not to seat any more people. There was an open table in front of us and no line up waiting, yet we were told they were too full and weren't seating any more people. When we asked about the empty table, she said she knew it was there and said they had a couple of tables empty, but were not taking any more people, even though there was only 2 of us. This was at 630 PM. Seriously? Terrible service.

Darcy's was kind enough to provide food for a local charity event I was organizing. The food was amazing (soup and sandwiches / wraps)! I love a business that will join in on community events and become part of the Kanata scene.

Went to our for dinner and had the best time because of our server Rick.it was the best service I have ever had.he will be the main reason I’m coming back:)

I have been here before. It has never been an exceptional experience. Service has not been great, food has been satisfactory, cost has been high. Good selection of beer though and I enjoy a free pint when they make up for the short comings. Just do it right from the beginning and it will be better for all. I know the fish is deep fried but, it does not have to be soaking in grease on my plate. And it would not hurt to clean the place a little? It's not the cleanest place out there.

I went there last week for an reunion event. The staff there was friendly. We had some finger food. I particularly liked the chicken wings and the potato samosa. These tasted great! Lots of parking.

One star because I have no choice. $80.00 for a burger that was bone dry. Did not eat the bun yet the burger left no signs of juice on my plate, dry. Two apatizers, one of which was sent back to the kitchen because that too was bone dry. Garlic & cheese dry bread balls, sent back. Could not find the waiter untill the bill was ready. Hence the no tip. McDonald's and a bottle of wine would have been a pleasure. Not this place. Those that say this is a good Irish pub should really go to Ireland and have a sample of great food. Do not drink alcohol before you eat here and you will never eat here again. Generic replies from management (fill out this form, blah, blah, blah.) this is a really bad place to spend your good money.

Staff really make the experience when it comes to a pub. Friendly and fast service combined with great food.

Wow what a change recently. Used to order frequently. My go to was fish n chips. Usually to go (eat at work for lunch) Today, they wrapped my fish in foil for some reason, causing it to swell and get extremely soggy. They also have seemed to switch there coleslaw recepe to one the rivals most fast food styles. Used to be my favorite coleslaw anywhere.

Irish style pub. Has daily beer specials and a great menu with some Irish meals to go with standard pub food. Two patios so they can take large groups easily in the summer. Great for a quick beer and meal before heading to a Sens game

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch. He ordered the cod sandwich and I the Reuben. His cod was burnt to crisp. It should have never left the kitchen. He sent it back and got a burger. Bun was stale and the burger fell apart. My Reuben was not a hit either. Will never go back. Waste of $60.

I found little if any meat in their Sheppards pie, too many holes in the dining tables, which leads to food stuck in them, the place could be a lot cleaner, not impressed with the place

We just went here with a large group, and the staff handled us really well. Everything was taken care of just right: i.e. Apps, food, refills, and coffee! Great experience.
