I had my Kia Sorento with dragging/noise from rear end. I was expecting a few grands cost for differential change after having it drive tested and inspected by a mechanic, But luckily i found Dave!
Dave and his professional team checked everything before going to costly options. And guess what, fixed in minuets, just topping up the oil!

I had my transmission replaced there a year ago at Dave’s. It runs smooth and beautifully. This morning i had a problem getting the car into gear thinking it was a transmission issue i called Dave. It turned out to be something different. I was so desperate as I wasn’t sure if it was a safety issue as i had lights on, on the dash. He was so kind, took me in even though he was busy. He is so knowledgeable at diagnosing issues. Not only did he figure it out, he fixed the issue right away. I left very happy and relieved. His son Dylan is wonderful so polite, friendly and helpful, he took my phone call and immediately advised me. He is a great mechanic too and will someday be filling his dad’s shoes, big shoes to fill. Dave is a straight shooter and honest. You can’t go wrong doing business here.

Had an ongoing issue with my A4 and was thinking I needed a new transmission. Dave figured out the issue in no time and turned out to be the oil, $20 later it was all fixed. Honesty and integrity are hard to find and he has both, awesome experience.

Dave and his crew did a great job checking all the fluid levels and changing the transfer case oil on my Chrysler 300 AWD system. They even took me to the bay and let me see what they were doing, it was very interesting. They are really nice guys, and have very good pricing. Great place, spoke directly to Dave and he was great. Worked on my Mercedes C300 and fixed my transmission for 1/8th of the cost Mercedes wanted. Very happy I was recommended by my mechanic to see him.

Dave's shop is the kind of place you would walk into and have no worries about trusting them with your job. Had them rebuild a first gen RX7 diff and they did a great job. Quality work and you can tell they care to do things right. Won't hesitate for any diff, trans etc work in the future.

I brought my Dodge Dakota here, and it was a exceptional experience. My Dakota had a pretty nice rattle from somewhere in the bottom of the engine and I wasn’t quite sure what it was. I was going around to all of the different transmission shops in the Sutton, Keswick and Newmarket area and I had plans to check all the Aurora transmission shops as well but as soon as I found Dave’s Transmission I knew this was the shop. He immediately diagnosed the rattle in my truck, the flex plate was the culprit. I was literally 2 days away from selling the truck so I was on a tight schedule and I knew it wasn’t a easy job to do the transmission. Dave did the flex plate at a very fair price and the the timeline he did it on was incredible. He finished the truck, and I went and picked the truck up, I immediately drove it home and the new owners for the truck were sitting in my driveway waiting for it. It drove like a dream and the new owners were thrilled with the truck. Dave and his team are professionals, I encourage you to bring your business here. If I ever need any more transmission work done, I will be coming here.

Brought over a Corolla to have fluid and filter replaced on a sealed CVT transmission after clowns at Toyota Stealership refused to perform the maintenance. Yes you heard it correctly, dealership refused the job on a 2016 almost new car. Dave inspired confidence right away. Definitely coming back.

I live in Barrie and I was referred to Dave as I was told that there was a rear Trans axle leak on my European car. Not wanting to go to Newmarket I tried several places in Barrie and no one could touch it except for one location. In a nutshell they said it was going to cost 2100+ and there was the possibility of some bearings that may be in need of replacement as well, which would be in addition to the seal cost. They indicated that was a deal. The shop was pleasant and encouraged me to repair it as it was a good quality car. I figured I might as well get a second opinion and did contact Dave, from what I described he indicated that this repair would be about 5-700 dollars and he also described that there are bearings as well that may be in need of repair. I decided to take it to Dave this Long weekend, dropped off the car on Thursday night and he called on Friday morning to tell me that he could not detect a leak, he indicated that if it was leaking it would have leaked Driving from Barrie to Newmarket. He indicated that the car has been under sprayed (I rustproof once a year) and that is what he believes is leaking (there is also no noise that I have detected or driving issues). Dave indicated that he would keep it for the weekend and would give it another look, let it sit over the weekend and would give it another look on Monday. I contacted Dave today and he said that there is no leak, he indicated that he knows these cars inside and out and there is no problem. Dave said to come pick up, Dave was so honest I can't believe that I was about to spend 2500+ for nothing. I can say that this Business was honest, professional and if I have any issues in the future, I will for sure utilize his company for any Transmission service. I can't thank him enough. Well what can I say, dave. Fantastic guy charismatic and very professional.
Blew the clutch in my volkswagen and this guy gave me a price that could not be beat. I was quoted over 400-500 more at other business. I blew my clutch being in experienced with driving standard, the day I picked up my car he asked to take me for a ride and teach me during his busiest hour at work! I was shocked yet grateful and with that lesson I was safely able to drive my car home.

Whether you need a transmission for your hot rod, race car, work vehicle, or everyday commuter, Dave is the guy to see. He has built many for me and I've referred lots of people to him. His knowledge and attention to detail are impressive to say the least.

Dave fixed my nightmare of a 6-speed transmission for my Subaru sti. Several other well-known shops would not touch it and recommend that i give Dave a call. He got the job done and it was well within my budget.

Took my Cadillac CTS into Dave's Newmarket Transmission after having my all-season tires/wheels installed. The tire shop told me that my differential was dry (they could hear the gears hitting when turning the wheels when in neutral) and I should get it looked at.

Knowing nothing about differentials I called a couple quick oil change places to see if they could check and top up my differential fluid. One shop in Schomberg (Oil Changers) recommended Dave's Newmarket Transmission, so I gave them a call.

Dave picked up the phone and I told him my story. He told me to drop by in the morning and he would have a look at it.

Just got back. Dave took it for a test drive, said everything is okay. The noise is normal when turning the wheels when in neutral.

Thought I was going to looking at BIG $$$ for a new differential. Was I every relieved!

Moreover, Dave didn't charge me anything for his time.

Had dave rebuild a manual trans in a Cruze after my customer called me complaining the clutch wasnt working found Dave's goons had broke a bunch of parts and tie strapped and siliconed them back together which lasted 3 days. Tried calling no answer left messages never got a call back never again doesn't stand behind his work good job

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dave knew right away my slave cylinder had gone just from a few questions over the phone. Got the job done quite fast, quality job!

I wouldn't trust anybody else with my car other then Dave's newmarket transmission and the front desk receptionist is really friendly.
