Davey Tree Service was on my property today to trim trees around hydro wires for Burlington Hydro. They over trimmed everything or cut down trees instead of spending the time to trim them. The branches were just left in my ravine wherever they fell and since I don't own a chainsaw, it took me over 4 hours to clean up the mess left behind.

Today Sept 19,2023 Davey Tree felled a tree on a neighbours property and once again left all the debris behind. "Is that the guy that left us the bad review? " I could hear them say. "That's hilarious" they continued.

Very knowledgeable and service oriented- reminded me to move my vehicles and patio chair near area of tree to be sprayed for beetles. Very conscientious

We had a Cat in a Tree situation, called Davey Tree service who came down promptly, went up the tree and brought the cat down without the issue of the cat potentially jumping. As a cat lover a big THANK YOU and 5 stars to Davey Tree. Joe Tychansky

Adam from Davey helped our family make some challenging decisions regarding our old maple tree. He was very knowledgeable about the species and the process for removing the tree regarding city zoning. We felt confident and in good hands working with Adam at Davey every step of the way.

The guys who came to my parents property, and removed the rotting century tree. Did an amazing job with knowledge and future directions for us for certain trees. Left no damage at all to the property. And cleaned up amazingly. They watched out for our sprinkler systems. And placed the logs and sticks in safe zones. These guys really impressed my parents and our whole family. Thanks guys

I can't express my level of gratitude for this company. We found a small cat stuck in the tree in our backyard. We made many attempts to lure it down with some success, but then we lost the daylight and the local racoons came to make the situation worse. We contacted Davey first thing in the morning and within 30 minutes someone was at our door. I sadly did not get the name of the kind soul that came to the rescue. He was up that tree and back down with kitty in hand in less than 5 mins. I hope to find out who this wonderful Man was to give him more praise. Until then, thank you for your kindness, and for taking the time to help.

When at a customers home you’d think it would not be treated as a high school locker room. Grow up!

This is the second time that we've worked with Jon Vanderboom and his colleagues at Davey Burlington. First of all, Jon is excellent and very informative. He was also very upfront in explaining just how busy they are this year and that they wouldn't be able to do our work for a couple of weeks. Which was no problem. His colleagues that came to our house to do the pruning and trimming, Alex and Mark were great. Alex was more or less the lead guy and educated us big-time. Very passionate about his work. The guys were here for a couple of hours, did great work and left our yard in impeccable shape. They worked on four mature trees and there was a lot of work performed. Personally, we've had two great visits with the Davey folks and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to care for their trees. We live in a mature neighbourhood and see their trucks around all the time, so clearly I'm not the only one who has the utmost confidence in them. Thanks Jon and team!

They were professional and respectful of my property. Any issues I had were dealt with to my satisfaction. This was the first time I used them and was sceptical given the quote, but there were 3 people here for the majority of the day so I felt it was justified.

Get them to quote your job. Thought big company will be expensive, they were not. Shaun the district manager answered all my questions and got back to me in a timely manner. The crew that came to take down tree did a great job and cleaned up the yard beyond my expectations. I will use them for some more work this fall.

We recently contracted Davey Tree Service Burlington to clean up the canopy of a huge back yard Silver Maple. Arborist Shawn Dixon was our first contact and his professionalism sealed the deal for us in selecting Davey for the job. We also received excellent administrative support from Carole and Anne. This project entailed taking down a giant limb extending over a patio, a magnolia tree, a water fountain, a fence and Boxwood and Cedar hedges. Other good sized limbs extending over our gazebo and deck were also removed. This was all managed without any damage whatsoever to our gardens, hedges, fountain or structures. The teamwork between Brandon, who was up in the tree for hours on end, and his ground coordinator Robert was remarkable. Each piece was lowered with ropes and manually moved out of the yard for disposal. Brandon and Robert were excellent Davey Tree ambassadors! Allison joined the team later in the day to assist with the wrap-up. We would definitely hire Davey Tree Service again.

We hired Davey Tree Service in Burlington to trim our willow tree. They did an Excellent job. Ryan and Andrew were Amazing! Davey are very fortunate to have them working for the company because they are very dedicated, professional and all around nice guys. This company left a massive oil stain all over the driveway and up the street. The oily substance leaked from their equipment and made an ugly mess. They made a weak attempt to clean the driveway but did nothing to address what they did to the street, which looks very bad now for all the neighbours. No response to my request to address the problem.

We had to have a 16 yr old Curly Willow removed from our property (before it ate our house - LOL). Davey sent over Tyler Hall and Rob Stevens. These guys are top notch pros. Safety first which goes a long way with me when contractors et al are on my property. The fact that they removed this beauty without any damage to our other garden gems, was astounding. 5+ Stars

The team sent out to clean up a fallen city tree in my backyard were an excellent team. They were Alex, Santino, Ryan A, Ryan C, and Alison. They worked well together and despite the heat, worked efficiently. They were polite and courteous with me the customer and did a good job cleaning up and taking care of personal items such as the planters, patio chairs, solar lights and hot tub as they did their job. They came quickly when call was put in to them and even took time to educate me in the reason why the tree limb came down. I would highly recommend this group of people.

I had dead trees removed from my yard and my neighbour's yard yesterday. The crew was Ryan C, Ryan C and Jenna. I would just like to say how impressed and pleased I was with these people. They were prompt and respectful to me and my neighbours. They did a great job and the clean up was more than what I expected. Shout out to these guys! They represent Davey well. Would highly recommend them.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Davey Tree Experts. In fact, we were surprised that they showed up the morning after the first major snow storm of the year, yet here they were. Alex, Dave, Rob and Alex were very professional, did the work that was assigned and cleaned up the yard (even though it was under 4-6" of snow.). Great job guys! I have no hesitation recommending this company.

As a business owner in the Burlington area, I would highly not recommend this company to anyone. I called them thinking this was “the best” tree company around and expected nothing less. February 13th I called to set up an appointment to meet with Shawn Nixon. Apparently he is the manager of the Burlington Industrial street location. Carol, the secretary set up the meeting for the next day at 12-1pm. I took the time out of my very, very busy day to meet this person to get a quote to dead wood some trees and do some removals. Finally after waiting until after 1pm I called the office back to see when this Shawn was going to be here. But I was told by Carol, “ Oh, Shawn didn’t call you? ” Apparently this “manager” was to sick to call and let me know that he wouldn’t be arriving. Or perhaps maybe Carol the secretary could have called and let me know? They have my email, phone number, address etc. I then asked to speak to “Carols” boss, but she told me that was “Shawn”, so I asked to speak to “Shawn’s” boss and apparently he doesn’t have one. I run a very small business compared to Davey Tree Service, and I would never, ever let something so unprofessional and rude happen.
Very disgusted with this business, and still have not had a response from these people. If you are looking for a professional tree service PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS ONE!

I had a very large sunburst locust tree removed today by Davey Tree Services, Burlington, Ont. I must say, I am most impressed with Adam, Matt, Jenna and Alex for their politeness and attention to every detail of this tree removal process.even getting rid of the sawdust and great attention given to the cleanup! This tree was a huge undertaking and it was executed by these fine, young professionals! Kudos to them!

Davey tree did a great job removing 2 trees. Pros for sure. Work and the costs were carried out exactly as explained prior to the work. Jenna and Alex did a fantastic job. Cleaned up after after all the work was completed. Also affordable and efficient. We found Davey tree by speaking with neighbors.

Your tax dollars being squandered

They were hired by the city to clean up the ravines of all the ash trees behind us, but spent more time sitting in their truck on their phones. The mess they left was a disaster, and numerous other trees were damaged when they let the ash trees fall. We are now left with 50 ft sections of trees on the ground, and another tree broken in half 12ft up that they couldn't be bothered taking down. Fail.
