Dave’s Tree responded quickly, dispatched a work crew, negotiated with the neighbour about removing debris through their yard (the access to the backyard was limited) and thoroughly cleaned the work site after removing two small trees, all without me having to be there.

Super happy with the service removing a high Locust tree. They guys were professional, knowledgeable and so nice to deal with. Made a big mess and cleaned it up like they weren’t even here. Highly recommend.

Overall, great job. They did a good job of limiting the damage to the existing plants surrounding the tree.

We had four 40-foot spruces removed, their stumps ground, and a couple of river birches pruned. The entire operation was done professionally, from Chris' initial visit, through scheduling, tree removal and stump grinding, pruning, and clean up. And we certainly had value for the money spent. From the initial quote, Davey Tree was fantastic to work with. The customer service as well as passion for their work shone through - Steve even had a look at my magnolia to ensure it was healthy when quoting the removal of my rotten mulberry tree.

Despite not being home at the time of removal, all of my neighbours were very impressed with the crew's work. The crew took the time to ensure my garden accessories were safe and out of the way prior to felling limbs. When things went awry (part of a fence panel was damaged during the process), it was replaced in a way I couldn't even tell there was damage to begin with. Along the way I was kept updated with what was going on and what to expect.

I'll be using Davey again in the future - very much impressed and will recommend to friends!

Service was ok. They forgot to mulch and didn't correct issue on the day as planned. Poor communication with each other.

I want to sincerely thank the arborists that cut the limbs from our front yard tree last Thursday. We had a number of low lying limbs close to wires on both sides of the tree. They really listened to what we wanted and balanced the tree perfectly. Thank-you!

The team was hard working and knowledgeable. They were friendly and even imparted information about the city tree on my property. Highly recommend this company.

Davey had to remove a tree for a client of theirs, using my sister in laws backyard for access to it. They then made them sign a legal no liability discloser, cutting fence posts, now their backyard looks like this. Broken patio stones, destroyed fence, etc.

Let's hope you don't have a neighbour dealing with this same fiasco. All three neighbours near this tree had more damage then the client themselves.

My sister in law is a full time care giver, full time employee and an expecting mother, yet this stress gets to land on her because of the damage they caused.

Do the right thing and address this.

I had a huge 70 to 80 year old silver maple removed from my back yard. The majority of the work was done by hand as access to the tree was limited. It was amazing to watch the men work. They certainly knew what they were doing. The cost was fair considering it took three days for the removal. Joshua Cook was the arborist I dealt with and he set up and oversaw the job. He was definitely a pleasure to deal with.and I would certainly recommend this company to other people. My overall experience with Davies was an excellent one.

These guys offered competitive pricing, quick service, and they were very professional. Overall very happy customer!

Davey Tree did a fantastic job trimming my tree to let more light into my backyard. I'm thrilled with the results. They even left my backyard cleaner than it was when they got there. I'll happily be a repeat customer.

These guys were great. The Arborist came within a couple of days of being called and gave us a quote The same day. They arrived within two weeks to do the job. The fellows that came were extremely polite and friendly. They completely cleaned up the whole area when finished. We will use this company again if needed and will certainly recommend them for anyone needing trees pruned or removed. Also, we had received a few different quotes and this company was by far the most fair.

We recently had Davey do extensive work on some large trees on our backyard. The work we requested was completed to our full expectation, 3 large trees removed, the entire area around the trees was nicely raked and cleaned. At the end it was cleaner than it was before and the wood I wanted to keep perfectly stacked. The crew is friendly, polite, and professional. We are very happy with the service provided. I absolutely recommend this company!

I would definitely recommend this company! They worked on our enormous Birch tree and now it looks beautiful. They do great work and excellent cleanup.

Dave’s Tree sprayed our Poplar Tree Stand that was over run by Gypsy Moth Larvae, the application was quick and was very effective.

Very happy with the service provided by Davey. I filled out the web form and was quickly contacted after a site visit from Andrew the work was quickly scheduled. The work we discussed was completed to our full expectation, 5 trees removed and a very large old tree pruned. One thing to highlight is the condition our property was left in after the work was done. The entire area around the trees was nicely raked and cleaned and our driveway was fully swept. If you didn't notice the 5 trees missing you wouldn't know anyone was on the property that day. Typically if you are having work done on your house/property you need to spend some time to clean up after the company leaves to get it back to the condition you want. With Davey, I couldn't find a branch left behind. Will definitely use again and would recommend.

The amount of complete professionalism and control that their one employee (Jake) showed when he was treated totally rude by a visitor of our neighbour while Jake was trying to put a small sign on our front lawn for a few days (with my permission) was unbelievable
Jake and Pat arrived at the arranged time, carefully moved items in their way and they cleaned up as they went leaving no mess behind!
I honestly cannot believe how calm, cool and collected Jake stayed though while he was swore at, yelled at, was threatened to have the city by-law called on him and spoken to with complete disrespect while he tried to put the sign up. I was like wow this shows the amount of respect for others this company has in hiring employees like this
I recommend this company 100 times over because if Jake and Pat are an example of what this company has for employees, well than you are getting professional respect and courtesy with any service from them in my opinion! I call the company and I had a response right away, the estimate was good so we accepted and ask for a date.
I had to call twice to know what was going on
At the beginning they told me they didn’t need permission from the city and after a week when I call for the second time to got dismissed by them saying that they were waiting for the permit
An other week pass by and no body call me
Total of a month and half without knowing what was going on
I don’t like run after people so cancel the service

Early 2020 I was given a quote to have a tree taken down and all was fine. 2 months later covid struck I was told the only way they could take down now is if it showed sins of rot as now they could only do essential service call.
My tree was a old Manitoba maple and yes it did show signs of rot so Josh the arborist salesman said it will now cost another 500 due too the time of year.now may. I very hesitantly agreed any way weeks later they came and removed 3/4 of the tree and stated they would come back to finish. I was billed and the bill was paid in full.
They did come back.to work for the complex beside my yard. My trees that had branches hanging over they fence were removed. Even remove on branch on my side for me and trimmed another which took a total of 25 mins. I asked about the rest of the first tree and was told again they would be back to finish the job.
2 weeks later I received another bill for almost 400.00 for the removal of one Branch!
I have call now on 3 separate occasions and was told you will need to talk to Josh.to this date I still havnt heard a word.
Don't get me wrong the work that was done was great. But the customer service thus far is very disappointing.

I called and made an appointment with this company for 3: 00 pm on September 2; "Chris" would be coming for the appointment. At 3: 30, he called and said that he was still at a job and had to go back to the office. We decided to re-schedule for the next morning at 8: 30. Again, a no-show. At 9: 00 am, I called the number that he used the day before and reached him. He was surprised by my call and said that someone was supposed to be here. Communication glitch? Unprofessional service, COVID-19, or not, I'm not impressed.

ADDENDUM: I was contacted by the VP of Operations when my review was read. I was told that they take reviews very seriously and that he was disturbed by the events. After our discussion, I decided that sometimes things happen and that people need to be given another chance. Chris (see above) came to my home to look at the work that needed to be done within two days. He also stressed that they take reviews extremely seriously and apologized for the mix-up. He provided me with a quote and I gave Davey the job. It was executed extremely well, with follow-up done. Given the fact that they worked to get my business back, I would recommend this company. Chris was a professional arborist who did his job well. 5 stars.

Hired by the town of oakville, did a very good job of removing the stump outside the boundary of my house.

We were in a tight spot to remove trees quick, and they came the next day after Chris came and gave us the quote. Everyone was professional and did a great job. Chris knows his stuff and I will use Davey again.

This was our first season utilizing the services that Davey Tree offers. Josh was always professional, and Rachel at the desk was very personable. We had our 4 mature blue spruce trees, and the one city tree, fertilized, as well as all of the cedars surrounding the property. We also had the team come in and trim the trees away from the house, and trim the yew at the back that was pushing our fence over. Today we had an assessment done as some of the trees seem to be experiencing stress. Very prompt and always courteous. I will certainly be retaining their services for fertilization next season and beyond. Thank you for all of your help.

We had a tree come down in a storm and it was close to falling into our house if we didn't act fast. Davey came out first thing the next morning to look, and a crew was there the following morning. They made a very stressful and potentially expensive/damaging situation disappear within 48 hours of it happening.

Blair and Jason did an awesome job of trimming and shaping our two beautiful trees! They are true professionals and the maintenance of cleaning up in the fall will be much easier for us thanks to this great crew!

We stopped our project with Davey early due to multiple no-show appointments, month long delays, and very poor communication.

Would recommend Davey tree. We had a big Silver Maple tree out front of our house removed and the stump ground down. Everyone I spoke to were professional and the guys that come out to do both jobs were excellent.

The service is excellant and the price is reasonable. This is the best company in our 34 years living experience in great hamilton area. Highly recommend it.

Wowie Zowie! Had 2 gentlemen from Davey's in my neighborhood today doing some tree trimming in the backyards for Bell because some of the trees were getting pretty close to the lines and they are installing new ones soon. Just wanted to say these guys went above and beyond! If I need a tree pruned or removed in the future I am 100% calling Davey's! Again WOWIE ZOWIE! Incredible, incredible job by these two today. Prices are reasonable with good service. They came to cut down a large Rose of Sharon tree on my property. In the process, they damaged a Hydrangea Standard tree located nearby. However, they took responsibility for the damage and replaced the tree with an equivalent one.
