I just wanted to share that if you ever get into a bad situation where you have no choice but to go bankrupt i suggest you do not use David sklar. They are a family owned business it's not about helping any one else but there own pocket. And even though you make surpluse money. They will keep you in bankrupt for as long as it takes you to pay them back. They do not care the cost of living went up. One of the worst people I have ever dealt with. I can't wait for my nightmare to be over.

My Story! After many many years dealing with banks, credit card companies, debt which was unbearable I knew I had to make big changes.
Reaching out to my creditors for any type of help, lower interest or deferred payments would not be recognized even after 15 years of full loyalty to these organizations. Firstly I liked the convenient location (Head Office) located on the north side of Fairview Mall, parking was also as never a problem. Took myself some time to really 'Hit rock-bottom' before realizing that I had no choice, But to declare bankruptcy. Skylar & Associates was the first Trustee office that I contacted speaking to Associate Jackie Stains for a free phone consultation. Having to resort to personal bankruptcy is emotionally challenging but Jackie Stanley made the experience much less painful. Do not trust this company. I hired them to do my consumer proposal, I asked them to offer my creditors. 10 or. 15 cents on the dollar. They said they have to offer. 25 cents. Myself like everyone else in this situation accepted this to move forward. I found out two years later when a creditor they did not pay contacted me, that David Sklar did not pay my creditors. 25 cents on the dollar and took the balance of the money as a fee of $14,312.04 for their services. Two years later I find out that a creditor that should have been paid and did not show on my credit report at the time in the proposal for some reason, want to now be paid $239.and David Sklar's representative Lisa Tally, whom is very confrontation and will not let you speak, has informed me that I have to pay it myself and too bad for me.

I received excellent service from Jackie S.and the DS&A team. She's always quick to answer all my questions and concerns. I'm very satisfied with the service provided, they've put me on a stress-free path towards re-establishing financial stability in my life. My only regret is that I did not contact them sooner.
