No limit number of item lines. Be prepared to wait.

The self checkouts are almost always closed, when they are open they rope it off and the woman working there allows one at a time only when there a lots of empty ones, what is the point of having a self checkout then?

You need to really need to check expiry dates, I’ve almost bought eggs that were a full *month* past expiry.

Also when I put down a bag of items I had bought from Market and Smor to use the self checkout the woman working there, riffled through the bag to make sure I wasn’t stealing without asking me. Like that is against the law, it felt like a real invasion of privacy.

Another time checking out I had a Canada post package in a bag from next door and the woman checking me out asked if I forgot to pay for my “cat litter”. Probably need training for the cashiers at this location or hire actual trained security rather than assume all your regular customers are stealing.

PC Express staff are fabulous! They truly are personal shoppers. I receive a call about any changes and they are always pleasant.

Great grocery store for produce and a variety of specialty items like international foods and ingredients. Points program is a good way to save money on future purchases.
Meat selection is horrible, expensive, discoloured, off smelling meat.

Produce doesn't last long from here.
Why would they only have 2 cashiers on a long weekend. I refuse to use check yourself out. I get totally frustrated using self check out. Older and need help with most techy stuff.

It's a wonderful store - except - they really need to open more self-serve stations and not limit them to people who have a hand-held basket. I shop very early in the morning just to avoid the crowds but it's frustrating when only 2 of the self-serve stations are open.

Prices r too small to read
Dislike the buy 2 for a lesser price. Never seem to have lactose yogurt on the shelf.

David's NoFrills is usually the low price leader in Cobourg. Produce doesn't stay fresh as long as Metro & should be used sooner than later. Meat is cut, wrapped & priced in Toronto, so you can't get any special cuts as they have no butchers. There is no fresh Deli, bakery, seafood depts. No beer or wine sold either.

Please use self checkouts as intended or don't have them. More than half tend to be closed even when its busy. It does not seem worth it to have half of the checkouts closed to make it easier for the attendant when they could simply stand back and watch and just approach those who need help. It feels more like policing than helping most of the time and majority of nofrills/loblaws are not run like this for a reason.
