A wonderful experience with this office!
Front desk Courtney and Klaudia are lovely, always willing to help, going above and beyond! Dr Vyas and Dr Shieh are very friendly and professional. Had my teeth cleaned by Samantha, she is fantastic! I have sensitive teeth and she had to use instruments, no water spraying gizmo, I did not feel a thing! Very pleased with the service, thank you and keep up the good work guys! Highly recommend!

I had the most reassuring experience at Dawson Dental Centre Waterloo today. I was quite apprehensive, being an immigrant navigating this process on my own. But from the moment I walked in, Klaudia, the Patient Care Coordinator, extended a warm and friendly welcome, instantly putting me at ease. The team, including Dr. Vyas and Afifa, displayed remarkable professionalism and empathy throughout my visit.

Dr. Vyas not only addressed my dental concerns but also took the time to educate me on maintaining better dental hygiene practices. Their transparency regarding fees and a clear breakdown of the financial aspects truly demonstrated their commitment to patient care.

best hygienist ever!

After my entire family raving about Dawson I was so happy to learn they accepted my ODSP coverage. My first appointment was today and I am sad to leave this review because everyone was very nice and I have no complaints about my cleaning at all. My 1 hour time slot for a cleaning took amost 2 hours and half of that time was spent waiting. 30 minutes for my appointment to begin and 15 min afterwards to wait for them to sort out my bill. They didn't check beforehand to ensure the x-rays were covered and turns out they were not. Now I am on the hook to pay for them. I'm baffled as to why I have to pay for their mistake? Good thing I am quick to forgive and I will return of course, however I have to be honest and say I am not very pleased about this. They were kind and not rude or mean about it at all, but I didn't even get an apology for the error. Sorry Dawson but I feel it's important to be truthful when I leave reviews I do plan to call my caseworker and see if I can get the films covered regardless.hopefully this will work out for both Dawson Dental and
me so I can change my review.

We just switched over to Dawson for our family and we’re so glad we made the switch! Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and kind!

Personally very let down with this dentist. I had four veneers done here and paid for a night guard to protect them but never received it. After two months and four cancelled appointments, they admitted that they lost it and had me fit for another one that played out the exact same way. The negligence was extremely off putting and I found a new dentist. Now less than two years later, the veneers that I was told were under warranty for five years and should last for 20 have broken due to an incorrect placement in my bite. I’ve reached out twice and I can’t even get contacted back. Do yourself a favour and find a dental office who cares about the work they do even a year after you spend six thousand dollars out of pocket.

I have to say, I never in my life expected to have such a wonderful experience at the dentist. This is coming from someone with a life-long actual phobia of dentistry and had not been to a dentist for over 20 years! The terror I felt was very real, going in.but let me tell you, the instant I walked in and experienced the gentleness and kindness of this team, I was relaxed and calm. I was taken care of by three members of the team, Dr. Shukla included, and all of them were just so friendly and understanding of my fears. They did everything and anything they could to make my visit as easy and fearless as possible. I'm telling you when I left that office, I was like a new woman because I don't think I'll really have the same fears again of going to the dentist, now that I'm privileged to be a patient at such an amazing, caring establishment. Would highly recommend - most definitely. Thank you so much for all that you do.

Elen is courteous and patient to explain procedures and my questions. She loves her job as an hygenist and is excellent at it. She put me at ease and truly made a wonderful visit.

As I've told as many people as possible so far, my first experience at Dawson Dental was the best dentist experience I ever had. I'd been on the lookout for a new dentist and hadn't picked one yet when one of my fillings fell out and I had to find someone who had a spot for an emergency appointment.

Luckily Dawson Dental had time not only to see me but also to fix my tooth by cleaning it up and giving me a new filling. The filling that had fallen out had made up almost half of my tooth, and I was very happy that not only was Dawson able to replace it, but they also re-created the shape for half my tooth. In addition to that, all of the staff was polite and considerate.

I mentioned that the syringe for the numbing was usually the worst part for me and that normally I could still feel some of the work being done even after enduring that. Dawson made my experience as painless as possible (I barely felt a pinch when the syringe went in), and I'm immensely grateful.

As if that wasn't enough, they also tried to make sure I was as comfortable as possible during the procedure, playing Netflix on a screen facing down from the ceiling, letting me pick whatever I wanted and adjusting the volume to my needs. They also had a sort of rubber pillow that was placed in the side of my mouth not being worked on so that I didn't have to hold my mouth open the entire time. This lead to a much shorter recovery time because I mouth doesn't open very wide, and my muscles are usually very sore after dental procedures (on top of the pain from the procedure itself).

Lastly, the dentist and dental assistant were both very patient with me and explained everything that was going on. They also made sure that I understood what my options are and that they for sure understood what it was I was asking them to do. I was very grateful for this.

All in all, I can't get over how good of an experience this was. I booked two routine appointments before leaving to go home. I might be a customer for life!

I came in today to get my wisdom tooth taken out. Dr. Vyas and Afifa were great! Very professional and helpful. I highly recommended them to anyone who needs to visit the dentist. I would not go anywhere else! Thanks again Dr. Vyas and Afifa.

Dr. Vyas is the best dentist I have ever had. I have been a patient for many years now, and always have a great experience. The office is very well run and organized, the staff are amazing, and the facility is cutting edge. If you need a root canal, no one is better than Dr. Vyas!

I can't say enough about how great Dr Vyas and his team are. I've had some pretty awful dental experiences in the past, and Dr Vyas has restored my faith in dentistry! Firstly, he explains in plain detail exactly what the options are, and what he recommends, without being pushy. Secondly he is empathetic and kind, constantly checking that everything was going well. He made sure I wasn't experiencing any discomfort at all, and adjusted the level of numbing as he went along to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. His assistant (sorry I forgot her name) was also excellent and very kind. I would highly recommend anyone who is a nervous patient to see Dr Vyas. I also want to mention Alex. Best dental cleaning ever!

X-ray screen imaging is displayed and treatment options explained.
A great initial exam with x-rays to implement a restoration Plan with variable options pending costs and jaw bite. As well, great friendly hygienist teeth cleaning, and informative Consults all with very reasonable fees.

I had an emergency situation and my office in Kitchener called around very quickly to get me some emergency help within three hours I was sitting in a chair in Waterloo the staff there were extremely friendly professional and very caring I recommend this place to anybody who needs to see a dentist very very professional

The service quality here is of a totally different level. From the time you call to make an appointment, enter the premises you are made welcome, and feel at ease. If someone fears the dentists visit, the staff there do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. Both the doctor and hygienist constantly explain everything they are doing, keep you involved in the process. Elen was particularly exceptional, very patient, knowledgeable and seems to really care for her patients.

Incredibly impressed with the team at Dawson in Waterloo! Our family of 8 have all had positive feedback with each experience (cleaning, fillings and Invisalign consultations).

The common thing the family has said is “Wow! I’m not in a bunch of pain! And my teeth feel actually clean! ”

I like the dentist who treat me and also the 2 dental assistants. They are very nice and made me feel comfortable with the procedure.

I’ve hated the dentist my whole life due to a traumatic incident when I was a child. In my adult life I have gone but hated every moment, had so much anxiety and gripped the seat the entire time. That is until I met ELEN. She’s so kind and funny and explained everything to me, she was gentle and made sure I was okay the entire time. I’ve never said this before, but I can’t wait to go back to the dentist! I can’t wait to see ELEN again. Thank you!

Editing my original review (as I see others have done as well). Making this a 1 star review because I have requested multiple times for the billing department to always send my families dental work to our benefits first (this avoids those surprising charges that three different benefits company say SHOULD be included in the root canal- in addition to the root canal fee, there was a pain control $129). This wasn't the first surprise charge. Further, I have asked for documentation from my dental bills to be provided so I can send them to my benefits. They sent me a couple of blurry images missing titles, missing the dentist location, and only included a few of the charges. I requested all of this a month ago- still nothing! It's unfortunate that we have to switch dental locations as we did really enjoy the dentist but the billing department is not willing to help. My hopes of leaving this 1 star review is that they will provide me the documentation I've been waiting a month to receive.

Dawson Dental is great. Customer service is is one of their main focus. I highly recommend them, their staff is superb. It’s obvious that they are a great team.

Having a dental emergency in a pandemic naturally made me quite anxious, but my concerns were immediately set to rest by the warm welcome & meticulous hygiene I experienced at Dawson Dental on Northfield Drive East. From reception desk to dental professionals, from hygienist Alex to dental assistant Afisa to Dr. Vyas, every staff member I met was kind & considerate, taking time to explain each aspect of my care & set my mind at rest. My damaged tooth was perfectly repaired & my headaches were soon alleviated. I could not be happier with my choice of Dawson Dental on Northfield Drive East as my choice for both regular & emergency dental care.

Dr. Tatri was very pleasant to deal with, yet thoroughly professional.always organized and well mannered.

I had a ZOOM treatment it was so relaxing. Elen was my hygienist she is just lovely girl she was so gentle and explained everything step by step.

I was in Dawson Dental Waterloo this past week to get my night guard fitted in. I was thrilled at how quickly it came in after being scanned for it as my previous one really needed to go. When I was being fitted by Dr. Tatari he was so gentle and showed me exactly how to properly put it in, maintenance for it, and most importantly educated me on how to get the most benefits out of it. There was alot I wasn't aware since my last night guard so I walked out confident that I'd get much better longevity and benefits out of this new night guard.

Riley the hygienist also did such a fantastic job while doing my hygiene and scanning me for the night guard. I was awaiting sticky impressions which I didn't like, but to my surprise Dawson Waterloo uses a scanning machine called iTero. This made getting scanned for a new night guard such an easy and educational process with this scanner. It turned what was previously not a fun experience into a great one.

Highly recommend this team and location as I couldn't be happier with my experience there!

The staff at Dawson Dental in Waterloo are the best of the best. I’ve been going there for many years and I’m still impressed with the service I receive every visit. Melissa F is an excellent hygentist. She always takes her time to a thorough job and gets my teeth as white as possible. She also is always cautious of her actions while cleaning so that the patient has no discomfort whatsoever.

Dr. Vyas is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is the best at what he does and is always patient with my questions and requests. He is always friendly and super knowledgeable. I feel like I can ask him anything with no hesitation or embarrassment. Whether my appointment is for a cavity or a root canal, I know I am cared for and in good hands. If you are new to the K/W area look no further, you’ve found your new dentist.

I have visited Dawson for many years and have had nothing short of a great experience at each visit. My dental Hygienist Alex personally has always went above and beyond to make sure my health plan is reviewed and my appointments are book in line with what I need done first, taking this worry off my shoulders i know even when I don't remember about my appointment I get a friendly reminder. Everyone from the front desk reception staff, financial advisor, dental assistant to dentist has been kind, welcoming and attentive.

Changing my review from previously, I can't believe how many issues I have had with Dawson Dental. Every time my appointment is over, I go to the front desk and ask them what is owed after they run my insurance. They tell me I am good to go and I don't owe anything. I find out 5 years later that they have not been processing my insurance correctly, and have outstanding charges since 2016!

I went in to talk to the manager, and they said they would look into it, I found out that they have never updated my contact information (which I asked them to do multiple times) and have been sending the notices to the wrong person, while saying nothing to me while I was standing their in person!

Because of their negligence, they have failed to process $500 worth of claims on my account, and even after I saw the manager it happened again! I was told that they messed up processing my insurance at my last visit when I complained about this issue.

I have never had a more stressful experience with a dentist, and I am not one to write verbose reviews about a company. But this dentist has truly surpassed my tolerance for extremely improper customer service.

I visited Dawson dental Waterloo for the first time today and had a really good experience. Dr. Tatari was very polite and patient with me during the exams. Afifa was very helpful guiding me to different exams. The hygienist (sorry I didn't catch your name) did a good job with teeth scaling. The clinic was modern and clean, and they practiced social distancing in the waiting room and required face masks for COVID precautions (which I really appreciate). I highly recommend this clinic!

The dentist has always been overwhelming and flat out scary. Dr. Tatari and Afifa helped reduce that fear and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and honestly cared for. I have been going to Dawson Dental for 15 years and they’ve treated and made me feel like family every time I come in. The dental work has always been perfect and done with a smile. You can not go wrong here, that is my honest opinion!

As a person with dentist anxiety, the staff here make me comfortable to the point where I have none. Im most comfortable with getting a cleaning with the water tools, but with covid, they can only use the instruments, and even then they made me feel comfortable. Excellent service every time, very friendly, and will always recommend them for whatever dental services!

I recently got my teeth cleaned by Dentist Hygienist Alex Dru. It was the best clean I have had, and left the chair feeling great. Alex was extremely professional and polite. Can't wait to go back there.

This has been a very pleasant experience. I saw Dr. Tatari for the first time and let me tell you he is a very wonderful dentist! I had to get a root canal on my front tooth and had it crowned. Dr. Tatari was gentle, thorough explaining the treatment, and did amazing work on my tooth. Thank you so much for my new tooth!

Last week I had called to make an appointment because I had fell on a walk earlier in my day and I was very impressed from the minute the phone was answered. Alicia was the receptionist who had answered my call and she was very sympathetic and her voice very friendly and genuine, not only was she great on the phone but she had managed to help me see the dentist the same day I called, as soon as I arrive to the office it was very bright and clean, I was welcomed by Alicia and I really felt like I belonged to this dental office as she re assured me we were talking with one another on the phone, Alicia offered me a Luke warm water as my teeth were very sensitive to cold and hot so this was thoughtful. From the front of the office to the back was an amazing experience Chloe is the dental assistant that helped me she sat by my side through the whole process and was very positive and genuine about every conversation she made with me. The dental work was very smooth and explained throughly by Dr. Thakkar and very friendly. This dental office really makes you feel like your concerns and opinions of you own dental health are valid and they make sure your questions are answered in full. By the end of my appointment I was already excited to see what this office had in store for me. Chloe walked me back to the front desk so I wasn’t wondering around lost on where to go next after my appointment and Alicia helped me by explaining all dental treatment that would be needed next all prices and even sent an estimate to my insurance without me having to ask. This is really a stress free office as much as a dental office can be. I trust you and appreciate you Dawson Dental your whole team in Waterloo rocks and I must add the whole team is very well dressed and very pretty and handsome employees I must say. I used to hate going to the dentist to get my teeth looked at but Dawson Dental changed that for me. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the sweetest receptionists who immediately make you feel at home. The dental hygienists and dentist take their time to make sure you are getting accessional service. They not only help you with your teeth but they get to know you on a personal level which makes the experience that much better. I just got a night guard make from them and it fits like a glove! N If you are looking for a dentist look to further!

We’re so impressed with how attentive and professional the hygienists and dentists are. They are particularly sensitive to our kids and always make them feel welcome and at ease. It’s so nice that it’s not a struggle to get them to the dentist. We highly recommend.
