Promised next day delivery between their Mississauga Terminal to Dorval QC (Montreal Airport). One week later still no delivery. Customer service is next to impossible to get a hold of and the online chat is definitely completely useless.
It turns out the carrier did make a delivery attempt on time. However, it was a failed attempt due to the dock being closed. The carrier only had to follow the instructions on the waybill to have a successful delivery.
I increased the rating from 1 star to 3 star because the operations side almost succeeded in delivering on time. Contacting customer service is where the Day and Ross short comings are. Timely communications is all that needed to be done to prevent this shipping fiasco.

The worst ever shipping service in my life that the driver just left the package (coffee table) in the front of the elevator and he is gone. He was so rude and I never have seen this kind of poor service. For last 22 years any kind of packages I have had from any company they delivered to my door accept Day&Ross by the way 1 star is too much for them.

Horrible company. Purchased an item from Costco. Horrible customer service. They weren’t flexible on delivery date. U don’t think they understnad they have to be flexible with their customers. The only reason why they are business is because of customers purchasing items. Also no one could really speak English. I am not sure who they are hiring

My brother is a truck driver with two years of experience that worked for Day & Ross company back to back & rest to rest and he didn't have any accident or ticket and when the broker didn't pay him for any reason he complained to Mississauga management but he didn't receive any kind of support from them and they only said to go to complain to court. He then complained to the head office in Hartland and Brampton but received no support from them either.
I want to say this company doesn't support or care about the drivers and I can name more issues that if anyone wants me to I will in another

Absolutely a nightmare, just look at the overall review and how many other frustrated consumers/business customers. I would give them a negative star if there is anything like that.

A LTL shipment shipped with pallet and wrap will lose the pallet and wrap and even multiple boxes, all the time, check.

Missing delivery appointment to make customers wait for extra days, check.

Delivery without notice or call, even with appointment delivery paid, check.

You pay by dimensions, then come back and tell you this is too large, now it needs a two-man team, need to charge you for another $200, and re-delivery fee, check.

White Glove Delivery, where signature is required, but delivered without even ringing the bell of customer, and left the package without signature, check.

Unethical re-dim your package, to increase weight from 300 lb to 1500 lb, by doubling the width and tripling the height of your skid, magically, just to charge you another $500, oh and with a certificate of fraud, check.

Need I to say more? SHAME on you, if you even have such a thing called sense of shame.

We have 1-2% faulty rate with other carriers, with Day & Ross, it's like 10% or more.

Totally hopeless, the only way you are still in business is because of the lower price, but there is always a catch for that!

Terrible experience. Phone call to book delivery was courteous and appreciated. I was told delivery would occur between 9 and 5 on the scheduled day and that I would get a call 1 hour prior. I did not receive a phone call. The delivery people didn't even knock on the door to let me know they had arrived. They just took my package with my $1600 purchase and left it against the house. The only reason I knew someone was there was because the dog barked. When I went outside the delivery truck drove away. My package looked like it had been thrown around. The boxes were so damaged that on one the strapping had gouged through and damaged a second box inside and the back of the box was sheared off by about 6 inches. My product inside was also damaged. I called the company with a complaint and sent an email at their request. The response I got was a quick "oh, sorry. The home Depot will deal with this. " I would definitely NOT recommend this company and big corporations likeThe Home Depot shouldn't use them either unless they want their name tarnished as well

Absolutely horrible company to deal with.

I had freight that was supose to be delivered on Friday, got a call the following wednesday to book a drop off (5 days after the initial drop of date), asked for Thursday before 2: 30,3: 00 package wasn't delivered, spent an hour on hold with costumer service only to get that the package will be here by 5: 00, so I had to take a day off work to wait for a package that was critical and already 7 days late.

Not only was the wait time over an hour, the only thing that costumer service said was "I don't know, that's a different location, I don't have access to this location"

They don't call to say they will not be coming, & make you wait all day & night as well as make seam like its your fault they didn't come.
They also say we should call to make appointment to receive our product, we have no way of knowing when the item has shipped.
I feel that with the technology we have today that there is no excuse to get in touch with us at al.
And a heads up it was sameday service that is owned by day & ross.

Purchased large item through home depot canada site, they lost the item and over 15 phone calls to their customer service center they still cannot tell me where it is. Home depot won't refund because it shows shipped, complete screw up. This company DOES NOT give a flying.about helping there customers, say they will "email the shipping depot" and get back to you with updates- nothing. They do not call you/email you back and it is on average 35 minutes hold to talk to someone. Stay clear you'll thank me

If only I could leave 0 stars I would. Absolutely unwilling to work with customers for a mutually agreeable time window……unless you can sit around and wait for 8 hours for driver to decide he’s ready to deliver your goods. Manager doesn’t care either. Very inflexible. They think that’s an acceptable to sit and wait for a phone call from driver. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not care about customers or providing a good service. Too bad their poor attitudes reflect poorly on the company that has contracted them out. Had to cancel order because of Day and Ross poor attitude and bad service.

Reviews here had me seriously nervous waiting for furniture I ordered.

Driver arrived right when he was supposed to (and right when the tracker said he would). Driver was very nice, courteous and professional and delivered packages in what looks to be good condition

It took 4 days and 4 different people before someone was able to tell me that the reason my delivery never came is because it needed to be scheduled. Delivery drivers wanted me to pay them cash to take it upstairs to my condo. How is this company still in business.

Don't use them if you need shipment on time. Costco used their trucks to bring my tires from 8 hour away. It was picked up 6 days after order was placed (that could be Costco screw up) and sat in Day & Ross warehouse 45 min away for 'A WHOLE WEEK'. I called them 3 times to have it delivered. I give them 2 stars for their responsive and nice Customer Support, I wish I could say they were effective so I didn't have to calls 3 times over 2 days.

Keep checking my tracking and it says attempted to reach customer to schedule delivery however, no one has called me. I called customer service twice to confirm my phone number they have both my home and work number on file. I can only assume the driver did not want to drive to to Barrie this week.

Horrible. Home Depot Canada this is on you as well since you use this delivery company. Called me to arrange a delivery, I took a day off work (they tell you 9-5 as delivery window). They didn't show up, called them back and they said no delivery was scheduled. Person on the phone asked me who called.when I did not remember the exact name of the person.she pretty much implied that I was lying. Apparently they have no record of who contacts their customers. I HAVE THE NUMBER WITH DATE AND TIME ON MY PHONE AS PROOF. Now I need to take another day off and hope they will show up. At this point I would rather go and get the item myself (but they don't allow that either. I asked).

I ordered  a shed from Costco Day & Ross is the outsource delivery company. Tracking was never updated on site, I had to call and ask when it was being delivered after it was sitting in the deposit for a week. When the package was delivered my item and property was damaged. Health and safety should investigate that the employees have proper equipment and personal protective equipment to do their jobs safety as the workers  did not have safety  shoes on, back braces or even a dolly to help make things easier.

It has been  two weeks and they have yet to pick up the damaged item. If you are expecting  a delivery  from Day & Ross on that day do not use the washroom, take a shower or brush your teeth cause the delivery driver only calls you once and if you miss that call you have to wait at least  a week to reschedule. I wish Costco would find a another and better company to work with

Horrible customer service. The driver I had an interaction with (Kamaldeep Singh) was not helpful. Commerce solutions could not offer a "solution" for me. I hope sellers can avoid this company (I will definitely let my seller know). I am also de-prioritizing them for Amazon and other platforms.

Terrible service! Ordered a patio door from Home Depot and by the time we will receive it (supposed to be July 5) now it’ll be two weeks late. Tracking has said it’s been sitting in warehouses or out for delivery. Have called CS countless times to be told Someone will call us back and it’ll be looked into.crickets. Husband called again today and got upset with them they said will be delivered Monday.we shall see! Hope to never have anything delivered by them again.

I got a call on Thursday June 3, to schedule delivery for Friday, June 4 for a TV I "purchased" from RBC Rewards. I was told they could only do between 9 and 5 which was tough for us, but I agreed and gave my wife's cell # to call us an hour before delivery. That was their policy. On Friday June 4 we got another call to schedule the delivery for Saturday June 5. My wife told them we already had an appointment for that day, but she was told they had no record of that call / schedule. I called to speak to a CS supervisor to tell them of our experience. He apologized and explained to me why he thought their system had failed me. I get these things happen. So, what happens next? They do not advance call my wife to advise of delivery. They deliver the TV on Saturday June 5, when we were not home and left it (58' TV) outside our home. This company has a poor reputation for a good reason and I had the experience. It was so bad, you could almost not believe it really happened. I was going to call back to a CS supervisor, but my wife convinced me not to waste my time. I hope an executive in the company reads this and reaches out to me to apologize again, for such a bad experience. I won't hold my breath. If you have choice, don't use Day and Ross.

Lowe's uses this company for delivery. I returned a damaged vanity back to Lowe's on April 27th. Today is June 2nd and Lowe's claims they don't know what happened to the vanity. I have a Return Label from Day & Ross (I took a pictures of them picking up my vanity and leaving my property) but they are not able to tell Lowe's what happened with the shipment. Lowe's doesn't want to refund my money until the vanity is found but they have a hard time to get some kind of response from Day & Ross. So no vanity no money for me. I agree, people need to stop supporting companies that hire irresponsible, messy and unprofessional delivery companies. Funny thing, after Lowe's initiated an investigation for me, Day & Ross have contacted me, asking if they really picked up the vanity.

Home depot uses this company for delivery. They only deliver to the building's lobby and not to the apartment even after learning that the customer cannot lift heavy items. What a useless service! Worked around my schedule to be home for a pick up several days now and they still haven't showed up. Every time they've just rebooked another appointment without telling me. Hopefully they will show up eventually.

Horrible service. I gave my home telephone number, in regards to calling before the delivery. However, for whatever reason they ended up calling my cell-phone. The call was missed. Not that big on issue for me.

The main issue I have with this company, is their lack of respect for other people. While I was at work, my disabled father was at home waiting for a TV that his hard earned Aeroplan points had earned him. It was quite large and his body is half paralyzed, therefore he cannot, in anyway, pick up anything heavy.

Because of this, the delivery a-holes, started yelling and abusing my father. They told him how they are not allowed to go inside the house, and refused to bring the TV inside (which by the way, was literally two footsteps away from the door).

Don't like your job? Hate your life? Cool. Be miserable, I could not careless. But don't start treating other people like garbage. Lucky I was not home. I definitely would have put you low-lives in your place.

Wish there was a way to rate 0 stars - user beware! I placed an online order through a big box store on August 5th, shipped and picked up by Day & Ross on August 7th, and it's been sitting at a warehouse in Mississauga every day since.

I've called Day & Ross multiple times, only to be told that my order has been "escalated" and will be shipped promptly, and someone will call me back in 24 hours - I have yet to receive a call from them. My last call yesterday got me information that they are shipping through a 3rd party, but due to a non-disclosure agreement, they can't tell me who is shipping my order, a tracking #, or even when it will ship.

All major retailers should beware of using Day & Ross as a shipper, as I can see that I'm not the only person with a similar problem. At this point, after almost 4 weeks of my order sitting on a dock, I'm almost sure to receive it damaged. I will end up calling my credit card company to get my refund as I have not received goods which I've paid for.

According to the tracking number, the package has been at the Mississauga branch for three weeks. After calling between them and Home Depot (fault completely on D&R) I thought the issue would be over. Now they're telling me the shipment is missing. Missing? It hasn't been touched for three weeks, how could it be missing!

I gave this company 4 stars because tracking didn't work, however everything was great. When Dawn called me to book my appointment I told her about the tracking issue so she went to the loading dock and double checked that my package was indeed there. She went over and above, so thank you Dawn for that. I was also told that the driver would deliver my package between 10am and 6pm. He actually showed up at 9: 50am which was even better. Great job. Thank you

Like many of these reviews, I've had an absolutely horrendous experience with this company. I ordered a tv on Dec 29/19 through Costco. Estimated delivery was 3-7 days. It's Jan 20/20 and still no tv. They have had it in their Woodstock warehouse since January 14th, although the employee that answered the phone said they didn't get it until the 16th. This was a lie as the original operator advised the product was received on the 14th as did the tracking info. To anyone thinking of ordering a tv from Costco, be warned that they are clearly using the lowest bidder that has zero regard for customer service and zero urgency to deliver your products to you on a reasonable schedule.

One of the highly unprofessional companies to deal with! Their left hand doesn’t know about the activities of their right hand! To make the matter worst, they will give vague reasons if they are talking to a 2 years old kid. My delivery was already in their Mississuaga warehouse for 5 days and I was told that its delayed because there is snowfall in Montréal! I couldn’t believe this excuse as that day weather was perfectly fine in Mississuaga and the delivery was in Mississuaga. It’s like saying someone that when it snows in Alaska, price of yarn goes up in Indonesia! I wish if there is below zero rating possible.

I ordered an item from Costco on Jan 30th. About two days later I received a call from the shipping company (Same Day, via Day Ross), to schedule a delivery window. We agreed on next Friday (Feb 7th) between 9 and 2 PM.
I had to stay at home for the delivery and Friday morning I got another call to be informed that due to weather condition, the item will be delivered on Friday. Although the conditions outside were not as bad as they claimed (in my opinion), I agreed on their explanation.
Another day to stay to at home (not at work) and Monday morning I got another call and without any explanations, the person at the other end asked me to select another delivery window, either next Wednesday or Friday. I start complaining about the issue and again, no explanation was given. I had to take it or leave it. That means another day to stay at home.
I had to agree, I asked for the manager phone number, but apparently the manager is not in this week (how convenient). I called Costco customer service to complain and they where not able to do anything about it as well. At this point I have to wait with no guarantees that I will have my item on Wednesday. The only thing I found out from Costco was that the item is at the warehouse close to my location since Friday (the 7th).

One star is my only option, I would gvie negative if I have a choice. Made a delivery appoinment on Tuesday, asked about the window time frame when is the truck coming and they said THEY DON'T KNOW and cannot provide at least morning or afternoon, BECAUSE they have no contract with the truck driver and doesn't know where is the truck.
OK, I waited a whole day 9-6, end up they NO SHOW at the end of the day WITHOUT A PHONE CALL and there is no one at customer service picking up phone calls because they said their office has a half day off.

Had ordered a Treadmill from Costco, which unfortunately has chosen this fraudulent company to delivery it. The delivery guy was only ready to deliver it on the driveway which was snow covered. Costco policy clearly says that the product can be delivered on first dry area such as a garage, covered porch or just inside the exterior door of the building. They delivery refused to place it on the porch or exterior door of the building. Looking at other similar reviews I am shocked why Costco is using such a bad delivery company

Horrible Shipping company! Not sure if this a company at all or just a bunch of frauds. My TV from Costco has been with them since 2 weeks now. I booked two delivery appointments with them, took days off from work for the delivery and no one showed up! The item was even out for delivery and still was not delivered. They finally call me and say they cannot find the TV in the Warehouse! Outrageous.if you cannot find the TV then why book delivery appointments and show as Out for Delivery. So misleading! They were then supposed to do a "dock check" and get back to us.still no response. When I called them back they still have no idea. Calling customer service is a waste of time as they just lie and do nothing to fix the problem

Worst delivery company ever. I called them multiple times and they delivered my tv from costco multiple weeks late. No communication whatsoever. I've never experienced anything like this. Costco, Rona etc have extremely cheap contracts with these companies to be able to do this. I highly recommend staying away from these guys.

They give you nothing but a run around and empty promises. Wal-Mart has chosen this brutal company as a delivery company. I for one will not order online from Walmart after this very poor experience.

Package came on the second appointment delivery attempt at 5: 30pm. Read a lot of bad reviews and was losing hope towards the end of the day. I will give them a three star since the delivery did come eventually and the customer service reps over the phone are nice.

Didn’t show up on three of scheduled deliveries. And would randomly call me to say they will be delivering within the hour on a day not scheduled. I have never felt so disrespected in my life due to there negligence. I am still waiting for my delivery three weeks late. I am a small business owner and this is a third party used by Home Depot. Home Depot should step in. I have lost one out of three jobs due to the fact someone got there sooner. Someone should be held responsible.

Would rate it zero stars if possible. Absolute neanderthals. Has taken over 3 weeks to ship something 45 min away, and when they did (only half of the order), whomever delivered it, left a $250 sound bar on my front porch. In zero degree weather no less. Also waited on the line for over an hour, only to be hung-up on. Abominable, at best. Next time these morons are randomly selected to deliver a package for me, I will happily be cancelling that order.

*Update: I never received the tv, though Sameday said it was delivered on their end. I now have to sign an affidavit via Walmart, stating I never received the item. In short: Someone from Sameday either a. Stole my tv, or b. They also left that on the porch, which someone else stole. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Furious to think someone stole it. On the bright side, I bought a new tv from another store on Boxing day, and picked it up today. Never again, with Walmart, nevermind Sameday.

Quite possibly the worst. Deliver is never on time and consistently damaged. Usually when I see that this is the shipping company, I cancel my order and order elsewhere. Customer service isn't available at all on weekends. I can only assume that Walmart uses them because they likely charge Walmart basically nothing.but I am sure this company loses Walmart business.

As many others have said, 1 star is way too much. They've failed to deliver a TV to me FOUR consecutive times (delivery is within the GTA) and on top of that, their staff has always sounded extremely confused (by the most straight forward instructions) or have been downright rude (Daniel started to raise his voice and talk over me instead of accepting the mistake and providing customer service).

They promise communication and always fail to deliver. The latest in my situation is, instead of delivering my TV they RETURNED it without giving me so much as a call. Also, I waited on hold for 20+ minutes, just to have my call cut and not returned.

As one positive, I've heard the delivery guys themselves do a good job.

I don't know why Costco/Vizio associates with a courier so unprofessional. Also note that they only deliver to the east end on Tuesdays & Fridays. Someday, indeed.

This is honestly the most disappointing experience I have ever had.
The worst part is that the item was shipped feom Mississauga to my address in Mississauga and has not arrived yet! One month! Why is it taking so long?

Tracking updates on website are incorrect. Call customer service to ask for real time updates and no information. Best excuse is that they are back logged and the item is being processed at the warehouse.
