Daybreak

Came up to Newmarket to site see and wanted to have breakfast not from the usual places. So we we found this on the map and decided to try. We arrived just past the busy time for this reatuarant and it was less than half full. We ordered eggs beni and the Daybreak hash that has pulled pork. It took a bit of time for these to come out of the kitchen but both tasted great. I enjoyed my Daybreak hash that has pulled pork, home fries, sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms with cheddar cheese.
Eggs beni with ham was acceptable and a few other patrons ordered beni's as well so it must be good here.
Service is good and priced right.
I would definitely come back again for another meal when I come back to Newmarket!

Always great food at reasonable prices. We dine in and take out. Especially great breakfasts and chicken club house!
Their home fries are delicious!

Unfriendly waitress today gave me the wrong food for an uber order. I was standing there for 10 minutes and nobody acknowledged my presence. When I asked how long will my order takes I was told "your guess is good as mine" by the other server. Im shocked. No apologies for the long wait. I know I'm not your customer today but the double standards when Im better treated at your restaurant as a customer. I myself have patronised your business a few times in the past. A bit of good attitude to us drivers goes a long way. We are the delivery drivers that deliver your food to your customers. Most embarrassing part is when the wrong food I was given is delivered to the customer. The moment I stepped in the store I felt the bad vibes. The male server was arguing with the cleaning lady about the cleaning water.

I’ve ordered out from this location several times and each time the food tastes amazing, fresh and it’s well cooked.

I ordered soft poached eggs and they were done just right. Many places overcook their soft poached eggs, not at Daybreak. I did not see maple syrup on the menu. The toast came dry with 2 packets of butter, 1 packet of peanut butter and 1 packet of jam. The pancakes came with table syrup. I don't eat table syrup so I used the butter and jam on them. Our Hostess ensured our coffee was topped up. Excellent service. We will return.

Great breakfast spot at a fair price. Friendly and fast service. There was only 2 people working (one kitchen and one front of house) but they worked really fast. The restaurant was more than half full and everyone got served pretty quick. I was really impressed. The speed of the service did not even lower the quality of the servicr or food. I was very satisfied with my overall experience dining here.

Server was proactive with refilling my coffee cup with I loved because at some other place you need to wave them down. Definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Newmarket.

It was dry, but more likely had to do with the minimal amount of syrup provided. Had to throw the last two pieces away. Place was dead when I got there and now I see why. Owners who give a little extra get a lot more. Instead of trying to get all you lost during COVID, take care of your customers now or your doors will be locked. May cost a little more for an extra ounce of syrup or dab of butter, but it goes a long way in building customer satisfaction. If an EggSmart or Wimpy's opens nearby, you could be in trouble.

About a month ago I had a great experience being served by a waitress named Denise. She was very friendly, checked in with me regularly and was helping a bunch of other tables at the same time. I've come by a few times since then and I guess I keep missing her; the service has been an okay replacement. Overall, I really hope everyone gets to experience being served by Denise as well!

Daybreak is usually my go to breakfast spot! The prices are fair, food tastes great but truly the waitresses/ servers make this place something special. These women are running off their feet, helping those that are dining in, taking orders over the phone and regularly checking in with each table to ensure everyone has their meal to their liking.

I am not impressed with how management treats their employees at this location. My mother went into work against physician advice with pneumonia because Helen had no staff and my mother felt guilty and didne't want to let her down. It was very busy, she received little help and because of an incident she is being reprimanded for something that she was NOT in the wrong for and because she wasn't herself! Absolutely disgusting

Absolute worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. About 10 too many tables, service was horrible, restaurant was dirty, food was gross, absolutely unnecessarily crowded.
Do not go here. Avoid at all costs. If I could give a lesser review, I would. So bad.

My husband and I come for breakfast on Tuesday mornings, we are regulars and we absolutely love Denise, she always has a warm smile and makes us feel welcome, the service she provides is outstanding and her attention to detail is fantastic. We have noticed for the past few weeks that she has not been here and the replacement is by far substandard. After reading the disgusting review three weeks ago I though I would write a comment to say what a gem that Denise is and the business is truly lucky to have her. My husband and I were in the restaurant the morning of the said incident and it was extremely busy and Denise appeared to be working alone and run off her feet which is why patience is a virtue. Can't wait to see Denise again hopefully in the near future.

Downgrading my review 2 years later, from 5 stars to 3 stars.
Foods still good, but the place is way understaffed. The 2 waitresses working are all over the place serving too many customers while working the cash, phones, and take out orders.

Sunday morning breakfast could be a much better experience. To the owners/management team - please hire more staff.

Our go to place for breakfast. Fast friendly service, well spaced seating for a safe environment.

This breakfast place used to be my goto spot because it was local, delicious with good service but now they are extremely understaffed to the point that they cant handle all the customers and take outs. The girls are working really hard but just cant give good service anymore. This place has been downgraded from 5 star to 3.

I was cheerfully greeted by Denise upon entering this terrific restaurant located in a strip plaza called Forest Green Square.

My first visit here was in 2016 and today was a continuation of excellent service & food. The prices are very reasonable.

There are breakfast specials between 7-11am for people like me who want to enjoy an early bird meal.

My coffee cup was refilled enough times I felt my teeth were floating.

Free WiFi is available to customers.

Lots of indoor table or booth seating with a view to two large screens so I could watch the Tokyo Olympics. Two tables were also available outdoors.

It is convenient and close by, good service, good food but why so expensive? My son had the special!?

I had the western omelet, comes with potatoes and toast. Yes it is generous but it kinda hurts when you hand over a $20 and the hand is still asking for more

Just got a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. Little bacon and the bread soft not crispy/toasted my daughter could make it better and she 2. And the BLT wasn't that good either I should've just got timys or whimpys.

Wow! What a great place for brunch. I got the fish and chips: since it was only $8.99, I asked the waiter if it was enough food and she said yes - boy was she right! 2 pretty decent sized fish filet and a bunch of fries. Honestly wasn't expecting as much food as there was. Enough for lunch and leftovers! Partner got the big breakfast which was also a large amount of food for $11.99. Food was good. Service was great. No complaints. Definitely will come back again.

(Updated) Now this Daybreak has been a regular for my partner and I. We literally go see Shirley almost every time we can for brunch, and now I think she's definitely remembered us. Shirley is just a ray of sunshine! Partner gets the egg benedict and I usually get the 3 egg breakfast with sausages - barely can finish. Usually really quick seating, although it can get quite busy on weekends (especially if you come in a big group) and might have to wait a bit. Honestly though, my partner and I know that the eggs benedict isn't the BEST tasting ones out there, but if you consider the price and how much you get and the service, this place is amazing. Looking forward to seeing Shirley soon! <3

Don't come here for takeout. Told us 10 minutes to make our food. And had to wait a half an hour for takeout.

Went here JULY 24TH 2020. They are finally open again! Im so happy they are open because the food is amazing. Shirley the waitress is so friendly and very quick to help you in any way she can. THANK YOU SO MUCH DAYBREAK! I shall return shortly.
