First of all the check in Service on Nov 24/23 around 4: 30/5 pm was horrible. We were not acknowledged when entering the motel, no hello, how can I help you. NOTHING! Besides the beds in the room there was 1 office chair to sit on, 1 teeny tiny bar of dove soap, no wash clothes, no hand towels and only 2 bath towels for 3 people. The baggage cart was terrible! The ice machine was broken but a nice young man went into the closed restaurant and got us ice. We went out for a bit to a play and when we returned the same man behind the desk totally ignored us.he just kept his head down and never acknowledged anyone even walked in. Certainly isn't good hospitality service! The young girl that checked us out Saturday morning Nov 25th was the total opposite, kind, friendly, helpful and listened to our complaints and said she would pass it on to her boss!

It's not as bad as some reviews I read. It's a 2 star not a 5 star hotel. But it does look like they are near the end, the land is probably worth 10 times what the hotel is.
Amazingly they were out of paper cups for the coffee.

I booked this hotel because it was advertised as being pet friendly on Expedia. When I arrived, the man at the front desk laughed in my face and said I should have called ahead of time to ask if they had a pet-friendly room available. When I asked how I could have known that I needed to call ahead of time, he said you can never assume that because a hotel says its pet-friendly it will have a pet friendly room. I have stayed in many pet-friendly hotels before and have never had to call ahead of time, so it was bizarre to me. If they only have specific rooms that are pet friendly, those should be listed separately on Expedia. He could have chosen to be kind and explain the situation calmly, but instead chose to mock me. Very unprofessional. I will certainly not be back.

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU BOOK AT THIS HOTEL.
I am editing the review I left 5 years ago, and taking away all positive comments I left about this hotel. This hotel has gone down the drain since Phil LeBlanc managed the hotel. All the negative reviews from over the past year are accurate. Don't let front desk employee Nadim or current manager Siddinath Bichu fool you or manipulate you into thinking otherwise. Here's my overdue, updated review.

THE PROPERTY:
The rooms are in terrible shape. Some rooms have rotting wood.
The bed mattresses have long been broken in, and they sag terribly. Other rooms have broken furniture. Other rooms have poor water pressure for the shower. Still other rooms have a common electrical circuit with adjoining rooms, resulting in rooms blowing fuses and inconveniencing the innocent customer who is operating nothing more than a lamp in the room. Some of the rooms reek with the strong smell of cigarette smoke. If you're really unlucky, you'll end up in a room with all the above problems. The carpeting in the hallways is old, and smells dingy.

The hotel has also lowered their standards for the type of customers they're willing to accommodate: There are lots of shady looking people staying at this hotel. So, if you're a clean-cut respectable person, you'll feel out of place.

THE STAFF:
Some of the remaining long-time staff have become less friendly and far more cynical.

The front desk nightshift clerk named Chris, who struggles with a mobility-related disability, has a serious and unfriendly demeanor. He's uhappy and it shows in his lack of warmth towards customers.

The daytime/afternoon front desk clerk named Nadim puts on a friendly face, but he's far from genuine. He behaves suspiciously towards those who book under the medical travel rate at the hotel. He assumes everyone's dishonest, even those people who are legitimate. Be prepared to provide advance proof of your medical appointment. Furthermore, Sid gives attitude towards customers, including other people I know, who question him or complain about the issues at the hotel. That is, unless you're from the same culture as Nadim, in which case he'll try to restrain himself from making rude comments. In Nadim's eyes, the customer is the one with the problem, and he considers any customer who respectfully expresses their frustration to be "argumentative" and "difficult".

Desk clerk Erik is the only decent person left, and he deserves to be at a better hotel than this. But he alone is not reason enough for you to stay at the hotel.

And then there's the new manager, Siddindath Bichu, or "Sid". "Sid" has responded to numerous negative reviews, and always uses the same prepared, ingenuine, statement. He promises negative reviewers that he values the feedback, and that he will ensure their next stay is much better. This is nothing but lip service. Believe me, NOTHING has changed for the better. Everything I mentioned under "The Property" in this review is still ongoing. Ever since Sid took over the hotel, I've had issues all three times I've stayed there since Sid took over as manager of the hotel. I don't know if it's Sid's cultural background, but he is willing to receive negative reviews, but then he doesn't necessarily do anything beyond paying lip service to customers. In fact, if Sid has the opportunity, he will gaslight the customer and try to convince the customers that they have a problem, or they're being negative, or they're being argumentative. Sid would rather not admit to all the shortcomings of the hotel, and his ability to deal with them. Instead, he privately tells customers to just stay at another hotel next time. He would never say those things when he responds to a negative review. His responses on reviews are simply for show. When he communicates with a customer privately, it's a different story.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE, AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES.

Rooms need painting, chipped paint everywhere, bricks are falling off the wall in pool area, carpets needed vacuuming. Check in and out was slow. They put a damage deposit on our card which we won’t get back for 3-5 business days.
Restaurant food and staff was very good.

Terrible, room spelled bad, i made my check in and then left my room to go for dinner only to coma back later and find out that someone was in my room. Before i left for dinner i forgot to turn off Tv the volume was also on by the time i came back from my dinner the tx was off the volume was also turned down. Else more this place only as service from 7 am to 3 pm and as nothing to do with the hotel, if you even want a coffee, after 7 pm you better get out and go else where, no food machines of any kind where visible ice the same thing. The room had quite a few issues other than the smell, the toylet had no brush to clean the toylet something you find everywhere, the sink tried to wash my face and my guest to brush her teeth and all the water wouldn't go down took a long time before it was all gone. It was a really bad experience and all this with Expedia where i made my booking very disappointed that they book rooms that are in such por condition nevr again i will be booking not only with Expedia but even directly with this hotel.

Friendly staff but the air circulation was poor, it's not wheel chair accessible and the carpets in the hallways we're dirty. I do recommend the restaurant though.

This was probably the most disgusting place I have ever slept. There was black mold and hairs in the bathroom as if it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The beds were uncomfortable and had stains on the pillows and covers. It is unbelievable that this place has more than 1 star. I will never come here again

Should be -5 stars. Where do I start, rooms were filthy. Appeared to be blood on walls, water leaking on to beds from ceiling, black mold everywhere. Service was trash rooms are filthy/unhealthy.

The room itself was good. Bed firm, comfortable, ample pillows. No bathroom fan. TV was analog, not HD. I had asked for a quiet room on the top floor, was first assigned one on the first floor. Front of hotel is under construction, not accessible to someone with mobility issues, no hotel name from road, I drove right by. Restaurant attached is very good for breakfast.

Beds feel like they haven't been changed in 30 years. You feel every spring. Walls missing paint, sink not attached to the counter. It was literally floating on the plumbing. Tv did not work. I stayed many times 10 or so years ago or more. It will never happen again.

During my search this morning the price quoted is $68 per night and this hotel is certainly worth that, but we paid $160 plus the $30 tourist tax and the 13% HST Tax. The entrance is under construction, this is a minor inconvenience, the Front Desk staff were quite efficient and friendly. The corridor to our room had an odd odour to it but not horrible. We got to our room and the first impression was one of neglect, most of the wallpaper is peeling off the walls. It was quite apparent that they are busy updating this hotel. The beds and the furniture is new or newish, the floor is new but the bathroom was full of little bugs. I don't mean a couple of bugs I mean 100's of bugs. We asked for and received a new room that was consistent with what we expected. The restaurant was very good! Breakfast was tasty, hot, service was friendly and fast. This was generally a decent experience that was overpriced.

It was so gross we walked into the room and walked out we would not stay there, even the hallways were full of garbage and spilt drinks stinky, do not stay!

We were there with our youth travel hockey team. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I stay there again. We witnessed a couple of homeless individuals outside of the side door with their belongings when coming back to the hotel before bed. The first room we were given had an unmade bed and smelled of cigarette smoke. The second room had made beds (pillows at the end but the sheets and comforters were on). The carpet could have used a better job with the vacuuming and the empty pizza box removed from the closet, but it was fine. The halls were also poorly vacuumed.

Visible boxspring on a bed, cracked lampshades, dirty sink drain in pure sight, there was no hot water when arrived and had to find out the hard way but it was fixed by night time, the entire carpet was stained and fridge made a ringing noise almost the entire time.

Horrible service at the front desk. Rooms are dirty. Beds are worse than sleeping on the floor. There was even mold on the wall. Disgusting. I would not recommend.
When i arrived i checked in and left my room for a while but hadnt put my stuff in my room. When i came back around midnight to return to my room I tried putting my key in and it didnt work so i went to front desk. He gave me a new key i went and tried again. The latch was on the door. When i went back to the front desk the clerk told me “Sorry maam were sold out” I had checked in 6 hours before. And they resold my room! And had no other accommodations. I was shocked. That has NEVER happened to me before.
Unorganized, dirty, smells likr cigarettes, questionable people all over the hotel. Really a special place but i guess what can you expect for 80$? Garbage motel.

The price is right at this budget hotel. As you might suspect from the rate that you are paying, there are some issues with the property. However, the staff is friendly, and you will have a room with a bed where you can sleep. Our room could have used a deep clean, but in a basic sense, it was clean enough (clean sheets and towels, and a clean bathroom)

I stayed the nights of October 21-23 and checked out on the 24th. Typical amenities for the price. Cigarette burns in the sheets, stains on the floor, poor water pressure in the shower.no big deal I just needed a place for a good night sleep. That's where my stay was terrible 2 of 3 nights. There were loud parties near my room Friday and Saturday nights. About 4: 30am Sunday morning there was an argument in the hall with slamming doors and possibly a fight. I wasn't going to look. I said something a couple times but the staff really didn't seem interested in doing anything about it. I'd like to leave a better review but if I'm paying to get a good night sleep and I dont I expect something to be done about it. Didn't see housekeeping once either and was not able to get fresh towels

We stayed here for 3 nights, typical motel vibe. Not Terrible. Not 5. But if you need a cheap place to stay for the night it’s a go too. Clean, Smelled Good, Great Water Pressure. Quiet. Booked on Expedia way cheaper than at the hotel. Juan, Cora and Josh at the front were so kind and incredible humans so helpful and just sweet, but Eric on the other hand was hands down the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with and looks like I’m not the only one that feels this way. If you were not a White man.he was incredibly rude and ignorant too. Witnessed his disgusting attitude and how it changed when dealing with woman, Latino men and an Indian man all checking in compared to White Men. Just a gross human. Do better Erik.

I stayed in the days inn almost 2 and half months on and off because it is tough to rent a apartment so anyways I stayed in my room went out and come back to my hotel everything was fine staff was friendly I was like at home

Room was filthy. Crusted stains on the carpet and on the walls…. The walls. Smelt like cigarette smoke and there were lumps under the carpet too. My girlfriend and I stayed to one side of the room that seemed the least like a crime scene. The tv was pixelated and couldn’t fix the picture. Place should be shut down. The “cleaning” staff probably don’t exist. Never ever returning.
