Had such a wonderful experience in-store today. I took my Mom in to talk with the experts about a skin care routine that might help with her dry skin. They were SO kind and thoughtful in helping pick out products and explain the application process/benefits. My Mom had such a great experience and she left feeling so confident! The first thing she did when we got home was tell everyone how helpful the staff were. Definitely will be back:)

Jamal was a great help and extremely attentive. He listened to what I was looking for and based on that helped me pick out the best products for my skin. He built a skincare routine from start to finish for me and even wrote it down step by step to reference at home. Excited to try the recommended products, amazing customer service!

The shop feels airy and bright. Did not feel pressured to buy. Focus is on education and understanding.

The products at this store are incredible— from their simple formulation to their reasonable price point— perfect for someone who is just beginning their skincare journey or someone immersed in it.

The stores themselves have knowledgeable employees who care about aiding in improving the skincare concerns of their customer base and might I add, one of their employees at this particular location, named Chisom, is an incredible employee constantly displaying enthusiasm, knowledge and understanding. She’s the reason I shop at that site.

Excellent service. I always buy their products online. I needed to return some products, my first time to do a return and first time in the store. It was an easy and pleasant experience. If you want to understand their products you should go to the store.

I love the brand but I’m really disappointed with the service. I walked to this location to quickly grab one item, I arrived and realized it is only curbside pickup. I called to ask an associate how to complete my order and was told it had to be done online but that it takes up to an hour to process. I wanted to purchase one item. I understand procedures are in place- but given the unusual circumstances, I think companies should know when to bend and accommodate to ensure a happy customer. I didn’t place my order since I didn’t have the hour to wait for it. And I won’t be coming back to this location now since the level of service is mediocre at best.thanks but no thanks.

I got what I needed. However they should work on their customer service. Wasn’t too sure if they were open at first because the employees were sitting on the table and talking. Then when we entered we weren’t greeted. The one girl asked us if we needed help as an after thought. And they continued to sit and talk until we left awkwardly.

This is a small location with a wonderful team! I’ve never had a bad experience here, rather the opposite. The website malfunctioned and I was never sent my order confirmation, order ready for pickup etc.emails. I tried for a week to reach out to the web CSM team to no avail & Queen St. W. Ended up reaching out to me asking why I hadn’t picked up yet. Order had been packed day of & had been sitting there for a week. So thankful they followed up! When I picked up they assured me they almost always pack orders same day for curbside, so if the website ever malfunctions again to give them a call the next day and they can let me know what’s up.

On top of this, they were flexible with my pickup day as I couldn’t make it downtown during the week, and agreed to hold my items until I could pickup on Saturday. Greatly appreciated!

Staff is lovely. Place is clean. But the products. I cannot recommend them.

If you have any sensitivity to glycerin these products are not for you. They will make you break out. These products are on the cheaper side with very little or low amounts of active ingredients. Products are unformulated so they arent penetrating they just sit on the skin. The idea is you buy a bunch of small products and for the same as one or two products that are more effective. If you like a product, no doubt it will be discontinued. Their vitamin c product is so cheap bc it does not penetrate the skin and if the ratio of vitamin c to product is too high it will irritate your skin. In this case more is not better. I unfortunately had to return my products as they occluded my skin. It was not a comfortable feeling or a benefit for my skin.

I commend the staff for hearing and acknowledging my experience of their products and understanding that the products aren't suitable for all skin types. I give the staff at this location 5 stars all the way.

If you have dry sensitive skin, these products may work really well for you, but long term they will lack the important ingredients that skin needs for long term support and renewal.

Although it's not higher end, l would recommend Dermalogica, they have something for everyone with a price point for larger quantities and a blend of actives for all skin types and with various skin concerns and conditions.

I was there a couple of days ago and one of the girls was very rude. I used to go to this location all the time before Covid and the staff was always very friendly. I was surprised when i picked up one of the foundations and one of the staff girls grabbed it from my hand and said "don't touch". It also happened to be my birthday that day and her attitude killed my vibe. I understand that there are new rules because of Covid but there was no signs anywhere and she could have been nicer. I don't think i'm going there again anytime soon.

Very friendly staff and clean store. It was my first time to visit Deciem and I’ll fall in love with them. Ethical products and price. But I’m wondering Niacinamide 10% case originally looks like this? (Kind of solid mark) Cause I bought some items but they aren’t.

You have to try out this place. I work close by and never bothered to go in because it looks expensive. When a client told me she bought her foundation there for $6 I had to go see for myself. Blown away.after 3 visits I have 9 products and still under $100 for everything. In addition to the great prices the product and packaging are top quality.

I have The Ordinary line and bought: cleanser, vitamin c serum, retinol serum 1%, hyaluronic acid, glycolic toner, caffeine under eye serum, primer and foundation. I can already see how much better my skin looks. The serums come in these glass bottles with droppers. The store is cool and the people who work there.next level gorgeous. You need to try this place.

I originally saw DECIEM online which was incredibly overwhelming and I had no idea where to start. I decided to visit a store and I'm so glad I did. The staff here were very friendly and approachable. They listened to my needs and helped me choose products and formulate a routine I could benefit from. I was never rushed and they were very knowledgeable about skin types and their product lines. I can't thank them enough. Merci!

Beautiful, minimal skincare shop. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They know the products' ingredients by heart and won't try to sell you stuff that you don't need if you tell them what you are looking for.

I've read a lot about DECIEM and the The Abnormal Beauty Company, so when I was in the area, I jumped at the chance to pop in a take a look.

The overall goal of this company is the provide their customers with high quality skincare and makeup at fair prices. The way the do this is by using unconventional research and methods.

The store itself is minimalistic an very aesthetically pleasing. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and the prices are pretty great.

I didn't want to go too overboard with my purchases since I have sensitive skin, so I refrained myself and just picked up the infamous The Chemistry Brand Hand Cream

Their return policy is also AMAZING. One year with receipt.

Sometimes beauty isn't pretty but it should be fun. For all those who aren't tied into the instagram and social media of the beauty industry, the CEO of Deciem is having an extremely publicized challenge.with everyone. As quoted by one honest and funny associate "It's a bit of a hot mess right now but we believe still. "

Deciem is the umbrella company to many sub brands who are meant to be disrupters in the beauty industry. Tired of the faked and too perfectly glammed up photo shopped images, Deciem goes bare bones to deliver effective skincare and make up at price points ANYONE can afford. You don't need to be rich to look good. I agree with this ethos and after trying many different products, I feel they're constantly delivering on that promise. Even if they're.arguing and harassing all their customers in social media.

The store itself is fair sized for a curated beauty store. It only sells Deciem products and nothing else. With clean white washed walls and a beautiful rustic wooden floor, it's quite bare bones to only focus on the products. Simple shelving has the products all nicely lined up and easy for grabbing and reading more about them. What I like is that you can easily see their inventory.that's really important as it is completely normal for someone to purchase 10 of one item in one go. Their website often are out of stock and have backlogs for months on their most popular items.

Service here is what I love.completely well informed on every type of product to help what you're concerned about. ZERO pressure and they're very friendly. No judgement either. Really. It's not your usual beauty spot. At this spot, there was 4 associates and they were all equally great. They have a lot of great knowledge to curate an entire skincare routine (one for AM and one for PM) to get that skin you crave. They're also honest on what has been successful compared to others. With their help, I was able to pick up 2 more items to add to my growing Deciem products on my shelves.

Niod Survival 30 (sunscreen) - You know the line that every 90s kid heard.wear sunscreen. Well, I believe it and I think it helps to prevent aging. With most sunscreen, I hate them cause they're heavy, white cast, goopy, clog my pores, break me out, doesnt work with make up, or.all the above. I read Niod was coming out with a new sunscreen. I was so excited. On Saturday, the product was just released for the first time and I got to try it. It's incredibly light weight and absorbs into your skin. It doesn't sit heavy on it. With one of the strongest UVA and UVB resistance (its SPF 30+), I was so grateful that it covered all the bases. So far with a few days of use, no break outs, no pilling, or white cast, I'm really happy with this. 4/5

Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane - This is a repurchase as it's probably the only retinol that is strong and has not killed my skin. The configuration of the retinol is such that it doesnt irritate my skin and one of the more advance versions of it. It's also less than $15 for a bottle.really. I find my skin smoother and more even toned with this. As for anti-aging, I'll have to do the long game on it but for 2 bottles, it's my favourite night time treatment. Just moisturize the heck of out of your skin with a glycolic moisturuzer to slough off the dead skin on top. 4.5/5

Though I love Deciem is a Canadian company.yeah, hot mess is an understatement. I just hope they get back on track and keep at it with great service and products.
