Deja Vu Discs

Been coming here for years. I can take a long break from ordering stuff, walk in and they still know who I am. Stephan is an absolute gem, I have even brought in some stuff to be traded and bought, he's taken everything off my hands that I no longer need whether it be CDs, DVDs or old video games that have just sat around collecting dust.

I’ve been here quite a bit back in the day and have had great service. I’ve sold a lot of older DVD/Blu-rays. On the other hand they have great selection for buying good quality used sets too. The website has been helpful locating certain dvd sets.

Great place for used classic rock cd’s.
Shop at the Oshawa store and the manager and staff are always friendly and helpful.

I brought in about 50 blu-ray movies, the guy at the counter barley looked at them, and told me that people are streaming movies now, and he can't use them. Technically you can stream everything, so by that logic why are you even open. Won't go there again sell your stuff online people.

If you're selling dvds and I don't know name of fellow he has long hair that works at this location won't bother scan discs very lazy

Wow, incredible place for cd's and dvd's bluray etc. Save a ton. Rock solid return policy. Staff are awesome to talk to and great taste in music.

Had a terrible experience with the customer service here. 1st we were charged $15 for a cd we never bought and the cashier there (skinny guy with the hat) said he couldn’t do anything. We were initially there to exchange a game that was within their return period and was told that “they don’t sell game with scratches”, accusing us of lying. We could not find any scratches on the game and blu ray games are impossible to scratch. The sales rep was just being rude and set in his ways and we felt too much hostility from his end. We clearly had the receipt and the stickers were still on the game that was bought, we usually have a wonderful time with the Scarborough location but definitely never coming back to this Oshawa one. Buyer beware. Lost a returning costumer.

Have been shopping there for 20 plus years for cds and recently started collecting 4k movies. Bought the 4k movie Arrival there for $21.99 used and thought price seemed high. Checked Amazon on phone when returned home and it was cheaper new on their site. Called the store to see if I could return it and was basically told they wouldn't return it for that reason. Definitely my fault as a consumer as should have realized the price seemed too high but their lack of doing anything ensures that is the last purchase I ever make there.

Selection is good. Found copy of Manhattan Project; one of my favourite 80s movies. Have never failed to be acknowledged/ greeted within minutes of entering the store. Staff have always been friendly and eager to help find that gem you're looking for. Also enjoy going through their vinyl records and they have never flinched at returns/ exchange on LP's

I came in today with a whack of DVDs and Blu-ray the person said you'd look at them once I put the pile of DVDs on he didn't even look at the pile he said he had them all. Clearly didn't want to do his job and go through the DVD pile

I like this place, man. We do a podcast on martial arts movies and if I need to find an old one on DVD, this is the place I go. Give it a look if you're into music or movies.

Really good store! Stephon knows music I always try talking him into selling his Kate Bush poster lol Honestly if he would sell it I don't think I'd buy it because it truely belongs in the store Looking forward for Co-vid to end so I can get back to cd shopping If you are looking for Zappa not to mention everything else this is the place to go! Hey I gave this a five star but it says I gave it a 4.1 thats bull 5 stars for sure!

I am always treated very well there. They are very helpful, patient, and kind. This is my go to movie store. Thankyou to everyone.

All CD's I wanted at a great price. Vinyl was not sorted so I was too lazy to go through all the records.

I love this product it allows me to actually talk to people face-to-face instead of texting and not feeling that I'm being connected to someone

Vinyl is a bit pricey at a uniform $6.99, given that the vast majority is a little worn, and most often common and generic items available elsewhere for less. But if you have patience to dig through many, many crates of mediocrities and duds, there is ways the possiblity of a real find or two, if the stars align for you.

I stopped by every day during my short visit to Oshawa and walked out satisfied each time. I was fortunate enough to add some extremely rare cds to my collection and the manager/owner is super cool.i encourage everyone to shop there.

I come in a few times a year. Always a great selection for records, CDs and such, although could be better storage for records for easier crate digging lol. Have found some good albums there though. Same for cds, and I know they have quite a collection of video games and movies as well.

Best CD and DVD shop anywhere, hands down. All materials there are used, but, of a very high standard of quality. Because of its trade and sell operations you have to keep coming back if you're looking for something specific, or, you can order it to have it come to the store, brand new, at the desk.
I have found tons of retro gems here.

Nice that they have vinyl however it's mostly worn out. Be nice to have a section of better quality for a few bucks more in alpha order.

Horrible. I was asked to wait till the clerk was done scanning stock, then in the meantime he served 3 other customers while I walked around the store waiting. When I came back to the counter he said "oh ya" and then looked at my 5 set DVD collection. He checked each dvd (30 of them) and then said no he could not buy them. 30 minutes of my time wasted

They have been here for years. They survived and were still around even when CDs went out of popularity for a stretch when other CD stores were closing. They are still here and still a great place to shop for CDs.

Guy there was rude and was calling me on in the parking lot for telling him i wouldnt come back there because i didnt like his attitude they need to check some of there staff

Great place to get movies, albums, games, and other media. Have bought nearly all of my albums from this place and a selection of some of my fav movies. Never have had issues with a disc sold from here, they all play and look new despite being used.

Great store, great prices and top notch customer service.
Been a regular for about 10 years now, and haven’t once been treated poorly, or felt taken advantage of.
The staff is very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help customers.
We need more businesses like them around and more employees who care about helping customers in this city.

Found a few hard to find movies and some old punk CDs the other week.
Staff was friendly and very informative.
I was trading in a few movies as well, and got what I felt was a fair price for them, and used credit.
Over all it was a very pleasant experience and I will defiantly be a returning customer.

All 3 locations have a wide variety of movies and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Love this place. I almost bought a season of the outer limits on DVD on amazon for $32, but I found the exact same DVD here so I cancelled my amazon order and saved $20. They usually have what I'm looking for and the prices are great!

Usually cluttered and can be difficult to navigate.
The prices for CDs are good but video games are out of control.
LP records are not categorized and are a nightmare to look through.
The best part of the store is their movie sections.
Prices are really good and are well displayed.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time searching for that one.album you are looking for.

Dirty store, therewass dog poop on the floor. The vinyl isn't organized. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

When u was in the store they where talking down on the items they where selling and some of the records are over priced but only some most are a verryyy good price. They will also buy your cd's and DVDs witch Is very rare now of days

Deja vu Discs is by far, my all time favorite store. I'm a huge cinephile and music lover so this store has everything I could ever ask for. I frequent between the Oshawa and Ajax locations. One of the few establishments where I won't set a spending limit for myself. Just take my money Deja vu Discs!
