Delta Force Paintball Ontario - Ottawa

Working with the people for a short time was fun, my transportation eventually could not keep up with the travel requirements.

Tried this paintball place as I got tickets on discount. It is a fun place with family. Time flew by.
I would probably say add bit more difficulty or expand the areas as a suggestion.

Paintball are very expensive probably since they are biodegradable but otherwise it was a great experience

Delta Force is not worth your money or time. I had gone to celebrate a birthday and was very disappointed.

For starters, there is zero safety precautions in place. Now I am not really a huge stickler for safety but when you have kids firing paintballs while removing their masks every 2 minutes, it's only a matter of time before someone takes one in the eye.

Moving away from safety me and my friends were disappointed to learn that the first game was to be played in a small speed ball arena with 50 other people. This was obviously done so people would waste their paint and be done sooner. I asked the referee why they insisted on doing this and was given no response.

Oh and speaking of the referee's, the three guys working were lazy and terrible at their job. Only one seemed to be putting in any sort of effort. The other two would go on their phones and disappear during game play.

Please just go to Marked Paintball or other places east of Ottawa. Do not waste your money here. This place is a disgrace to the sport of paintball.

Way to expensive and very rude. 500 bullets which is 2 round if your being conservative for 55$ a person other than the entry fee of 49$.

This place has the potential to be quite decent, but the way its ran left a bitter taste for my group.

The first thing I took issue with was the 7% "service charge" hidden fee when booking online. I wasn't booking through a third party so I see no reason why this wouldn't just be included in the price.

Next, we were crammed like sardines into a speedball field that can't be much bigger than 120x120ft, with over 70 people and infinite respawns. My group agreed that this just felt like a shameless way to get people to use up their paint as quickly as possible. At least half of the overall participants just sat the game out by the respawn spot as there was not enough cover for everyone to fit, making the game pointless.

The castle map with the "raise the flag" game mode is a complete joke, and extremely poorly constructed and thought through. The marshals did a terrible job of explaining the rules leading to tons of questions and conflicting answers. The flag does not raise high enough for the defenders to be able to see when its raised, and the "no shooting from less than 3m rule" combined with the "defenders cant leave the castle" rule technically makes it impossible for the defenders to shoot attackers once they reach the flag/castle wall as they are always less than 3 meters from the attacker. The flag is only supposed to be raised for 1 minute before the game ends, but the marshals were not paying any attention, and the flag had already been raised for over a minute before they noticed and began the stopwatch.

This was a recurring theme, with people from our group and other groups getting repeatedly irate with the staff for not enforcing any of the game rules or not paying attention, leading to it basically just becoming a game of "whoever cheats the most wins. "

Some of our equipment was faulty, such as hoppers with no elastic catch on the lid and a lid that didn't hold shut, or guns that were handed to us with the safety off and already jammed with someone else's paintballs. In fairness, they were able to provide functioning gear once we pointed these issues out, and we didn't have to play with faulty stuff.

Either the fields need to be bigger, the group sizes smaller, the game modes simpler, or the staffing needs to get better in order for it to be worth going.

All the staff are super nice and helpful. Heath, who runs the place makes you feel very welcome, he's funny and really patient managing and instructing the big group. The place is well kept with good equipment and great energy! The variety of maps and game-play that they offer are super cool too!

It was my first time paintballing and it was a great experience I cant wait to go here again, I definitely recomend Delta for people of all ages:)

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I can honestly say that I would not recommend this place to anyone. They paired over 70 of us together and immediately put us into speedball for a 20 MINUTE ROUND with infinite respawn. Shamelessly trying to get us to use as much paint as possible and then to make it even better the refs do not watch the objective. I have never seen so many cheaters before. With 10 seconds left on the objective, this guy runs up and gets pummeled with paint.doesn't die, and claims the objective to win the game. You'd think the refs would be watching the objective within the last 10 seconds right? Well no. To make it even better, there was multiple times where the refs were swiping on their phone. At first I thought it was a timer, but it looked like they were swiping on social media. They did not enforce safety as kids were non-stop shooting whilst we were walking to the arenas, but I guess that uses more paint so they get more money? One of our buds got shot point blank in the mask by a kid in a no fire zone. On the final stage we had to raise a flag for a total of one minute, and there was issues with the first round and we all asked the refs to make sure to just watch the flag. This time we were attacking and almost straight away we had the flag raised. We held off the defenders for about 40 seconds, as the ref then shouts FLAGS UP, ONE MINUTE LEFT! This was after the minute was ALREADY ALMOST OVER. Even after being asked to watch the flag, they were not paying any attention, and then when I pointed out to the ref that it had already been up, he said "Thanks for telling me how to do my job". Well you're welcome, because you certainly seem to need reminders. Marked is soooo much better, the guns are better, the arenas are better, the rules are more enforced, and the refs actually pay attention. Go there instead for a genuine fun day of paintball.

The reason why my review is one star is because the booking office is horrible. When my group and I were booking to go we were first told one price and they didn't clear up all the hidden charges that are needed to further continue your booking. I encountered a salesperson at the mall and they told my group that all we needed to pay was $90 and then $15 once we were at the place in order to get paintballs. Once we called the booking office to continue the booking they charge us $160 that was never mentioned before. The booking office doesn't clear up all the charges that are there and out of nowhere they ask for more money. Later on, we found out the booking office is a third party that knows little to no information about how the process works at the site. The booking office is very disappointing and unclear, the staff however, is extremely nice and made the experience great. For future reference, if people want to book, call the range directly as it should be more clear and no information is hidden during the booking process.
Sales guys at the mall and staff at the delta force are not in sync. Its just looting people in the last minute.

I read many of the negative reviews before going and can honestly say that our experience there yesterday was pretty great. The Marshall and the leaders were very helpful.
The heat of the day made us sweat it out for the entire afternoon, but my kids and I had a very enjoyable (albeit painful) time. We're looking forward to going back in the cooler fall weather.

It's a shame that all these 1 star reviews come from one group of people that had some issues bringing the ratings down because the truth is last time I went with some friends for a party we had a really fun time with little to no problems at all definitely coming back.

When they see it's a big group, all they do is empty your pockets.

We bought $1500 worth of paintballs, and they told us that AFTER spending money that we have to play the same map again as the 3rd map have some kind of wild plants grew.

They knew about this 2 days before our schedule, but they didn't inform us in advance, and not even when we went there.

So called "MANAGER" and "SUPERVISOR" were super rude and didn't help us anyway. They raised their hand by saying that 'the boss is in Australia and we can't do much'.

Ottawa has other paintball options, which are why better than this.

Had my Bachelor party, the staff was incredibly helpful and super fun host. Can't wait for our next time out

Went there yesterday with a group of 30 people. We wanted to have fun but not all the maps were available and the management didn’t informed us about this before. After buying all the things we got to know that we are not experiencing the fun of playing in all the maps. This was very discouraging for our group. The management is not very nice. They don’t even know about customer satisfaction and they behave very rudely with us. Please don’t go there.
