Great place for ice cream, crepes, waffles, along with hot drinks. Service could be better as cafe wasn't full and still had a longer wait time. Food was good service could be better

Had a wonderful time at this location. The manager Silina was very accommodating to my family, given our circumstances. She was inviting and extremely patient with us. Would highly recommend this location to anyone!

One of my favorite places to drink coffee. I love the place, the decoration and the atmosphere in this branch. With many tables available. The service was fast and in less than 10/15 minutes we had our order on the table. Everything was very delicious and the crepe

Food is food, of-course its great, its Deserts

But the service on this location is terrible.
Empty seats and we had to wait 20 mins to be seated. Wouldn’t give us any attention until we had to show them that we exist just standing there.

Employees were terrible, upon seated of-course we had to wait again.upon bringing us our water.this employee spilled it on the table without even saying any apology or anything at all. We had to wipe it down ourselves.

I understand that its covid times and maybe they had to reduced hours.but they were way under-staff.

I asked the employee what was her name and she refused to give it and gave us an attitude saying they were not suppose to give out their names (black lady). I guess name tags dont exist at this location.

Once again, Deserts were awesome…its Deserts what else can you say.

In the End… we will never come back at this location and we will spread our experience here to our family and friends.

The service here is what makes this location terrible tbh and the dishes they use where dirty and there where small black Flys flying around and overall wouldn't recommend this location

Me and some friends went to get dinner at the pho place around the corner. Then we stop by Demetres for desserts. I have not been to Demetres in 3 years or more. So I was delighted upon my arrival. The staff was friendly and the food/desserts is still top notch. I was glad to see the younger generation hustling and making their. Definitely love the vibes and will be back soon

Their shakes are below average, too watery and too sweet.
My bigger beef is with the service. We requested a table at the window but were declined coz they wanted to keep those for bigger groups. It was after 10p, there were multiple window side tables open when we got there (about half the restaurant was empty). Within 15 minutes of us sitting down, they seated a group of 2 on a window table. We've been to other locations of Demetres, loved the service there and their cake desserts (except the shakes, tried those here the first time).

This dessert place is fabulous. The ice creams are to die for because they are not too sweet; the waffles and crepe sauces are superb and staff is alright.

Fairly typical dessert place, has ice cream, crepes, waffles and shakes. Very filling so bring an appetite

Unbrûlévable Liège Waffle was delicious! Highlight of the dessert was the Praliné Croquant topping. To drink we had their special hot chocolate with whipped cream and milk chocolate drizzle. Perfect combo for my sweet tooth!

Used to be a huge fan (came every month prior to the pandemic shut down) but only once after patios opened up in September. Staff are friendly and the follow protocols. Only downfall is the price has been increased (naturally with COVID-19). Great dessert spot, highly recommended.

I love your Belgian waffle and the Strawberry Royale. Lately the price went up and it's difficult for me to afford for your good dessert. I'm craving every time I think of your dessert.

Nice big location able to accommodate large parties easily. Desserts are on par with other locations around the city. Kind and courteous staff with quick service.

The seats in the corner are not that comfy, try to sit in the middle spots. The crew is awesome. And careful with the sugar levels!

Highly recommended. You can find many options in their menu. Delicious ice cream flavors and cakes and the place is cozy. Good service too.

Loved the ice cream flavors. Not a great fan of the cookie that they used in the ice cream sandwich and it is quite difficult to eat ice cream with a fork. They should immediately put the ice cream spoon on the table as a part of their table setting, but over all it was all good!

Nice location. Very clean and nice staff. Their Roche Ice Cream is easily one of my favourite ice creams. I usually order a scoop to go or Moolala Crepe.

Prices have gone up and quality significantly down.very surprised as demetres used to be one of our favourite places for dessert. We ordered a crepe with nutella and bananas.there was barely any nutella on it. The hot chocolate was just ok, used to be better.

Delicious dessert spot with the best waffles I have had. The service and quality of food makes up everything for the price I paid. Been many times in Demetres and I’m looking forward to returning in the future.

Usually don't have issues, but today was my first time going during the pandemic and the hygiene was disgusting. Both my coffee cup and my water cup had lip stick all over it. They need to be-careful more, i didn't create a scene but definitely many would've rightfully.

We went on july 17. The front lady was very disrespectful and rude. I can’t believe she is working in the customer service industry. I asked for her name and she refused. She knew that we were going to complain with the manager. I would not recommend this place. Go to another dimitris.

This is MOO LALA! On a WAFFLE. Demetr’e is always great when it comes to presentation, and recipe. That in itself for a lot of people is enough, however, (and yes there is a however) where I personally feel they lack is their uninspiring menu and prices. It’s industry is being dominated and smaller portions attractive pricing is the way to go. In the word of ice cream and waffle and a fruit, this should not exceed more than $12-$15. I’m sorry I’m still being generous. There are alternatives to this place and i don’t know but for me a sweet tooth is a sweet tooth so.anything in between from rollz to McDonald’s would be just fine.

I had huge expectations. Ordered a sundae.the icecream is just a sugar blast. I have been to many dessert places and usually the flavor is there with sugar offcourse. Here all your head feel is sugar.

Still giving 2 stars. Cause they have good parking and excellent indoor arrangements.

Sometimes I crave just a simple decadent piece of chocolate fudgey cake every now and again. They have THE BESTTT chocolate cake here. It’s decadent, chocolatey goodness. Thank you to all the friendly staff members bringing a smile to my face with your kindness & sweet treats especially during these difficult times! <3

Omg I’ve visited this place ONCE in my life and I am already a fan. I went there with my friends when Covid had almost started so they had restricted the number of people inside since most of the tables where unavailable. We had to wait for a while but it was definitely worth the wait! People PLEASE visit once. I bet you’ll go again;)

Amazing treats, especially good for that 10pm sweetness craving. The ice cream for 10$ is a steal, some of the dessert foods are a bit pricey but each bite is well worth it.

This place is the definition of decadent. My favourite is the caramel apple crumble crepes but you really can't go wrong with any of their items. Wonderful customer service through and through.

When my partner and I moved to Toronto we spent our first Christmas Eve here. Understandably, the place was ridiculously busy but the waiter was unnecessarily apologetic and when our order arrived it was made with the level of care you wouldn't expect on a busy holiday. I've been a convert of Demetres ever since, you won't find anything else like it.

It'll take them like 45 minutes to cut a slice of cake and bring it to you but it's kind of worth it

The wait was long for a sundae and cake.and even when i got it it wasnt even worth the price i paid pretty much $30 for desert that you could make at home.the vanilla ice cream had no taste the cake was way to oily.never stepping foot in that place again.stupid prices for stupid deserts

Went here aug 15 2018, and it was my first time here.i went with a group of friends, got here around 2: 30 and got seated immediately.this place has a huge menu, it's so hard to decide what you want to eat! The waiter did take a while until it was time for us to tell him what to order, which wasn't bad because they had a lot of tasty options.you also get a free glass of water.the food was delicious, but you shouldn't come if you have ate a big lunch or dinner, because the serving size here is huge, but it's totally worth it! I love the atmosphere! This location is only a 5 minute walk from yorkdale mall, you can then do your shopping after dessert.if your looking for a good dessert restaurant in the yorkdale or north york area, this is the one!

The best Demetres in Canada because it's run by head office. There are three locations in Mississauga and they are so bad. I've been to each and every one of them multiple times. They are busy but shameful service. They portions are different than what you receive at the Dufferin location. Must go to Demetres but go to the Dufferin location! Love it.

We've been frequenting here quite a while and often noticed thru though the food is good the staff needs a makeover. I find them struggling during any hours (not just peak hours) to keep pace with the traffic. Tables are empty but they haven't been attended to, as a result people have to wait more for no reason. If you're understaffed (as described by one of the workers) speak up to the upper management and get this sorted. It's tolerable to an extent but eventually you'll lose out on customers if this continues. Hope this message goes to the upward management and they get this resolved.

This place never disappoints! Huge portions and always delicious! So glad they now have a few vegan options, but they are only ice cream sundaes. They need to add a vegan cake option! It's pricey, but with the huge plates, it's worth every penny!

Delicious food, slightly expensive but still worth it. Food takes a while to get to you but the staff is friendly. My biggest issue with this place is they have changed their branding (the look of the place and the way they assemble their waffles), and because of this, my friends will no longer come here with me because they hate the changes that have been made! They no longer give you whip cream with your waffles for free, and they assemble everything in such a way that the toppings that YOU PAID FOR get wasted because they have been put to the side and not on the waffle (for example, the ice cream scoop! It's supposed to melt on your waffle so that none of it gets wasted and the waffle is soaked in deliciousness, it shouldn't be melting on the side of the dish!) and they put a very small amount of everything now. Come on! I'm sure you can afford to put more than three pieces of brownie bites and a teaspoon of chocolate spread! Also, I don't know if this is my imagination but I feel like the waffles used to be bigger before. The ugly, boring and grey new banner design they have outside is so depressing to look at now as well. What happened to the colourful banner? ! Anyways, in recent months, you have disappointed me greatly, cafe demetre.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that every single time I've been here, I've had a sugar rush. I get all jittery/shaky and nauseous because of all the sugar, which for a person like me who consumes a lot of sugar/ can consume a lot of sugar in one sitting without being affected by it, this tells you a lot about the sugar content in the food. So if you're worried about diabetes, don't come here lol.

Good food and reasonably priced for what you get. I would have rated it higher but they forced 7 of us in to a booth which wasn't enough space (should have put us at a table instead), our server finished her shift before we were done AND NO ONE TOOK OVER so that was annoying. Oh, the pic is the unbrulevable which we all agreed was fantastic.

We went there after dinner on a Saturday night and really didn’t enjoy the experience. First of all there was a long wait when there were lots of empty tables. They had mics and were talking to a coordinator, and yet they couldn’t sit customers efficiently? Several wait staff told them tables were available and they still didn’t seat people. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting - I checked both men’s bathrooms and the floor was totally soaked in urine. Needless to say this gets tracked throughout restaurant. Staff were friendly and food was good, but it appeared to be just young staff with no oversight.

They were fast at preparing my Sweetcar Named Devour as a Crepe. I came for takeout last minute near closing. Needless to say they were very hospitable.

Poor service. Staff on their phones and sitting around on empty seats. Staff should be provided with a staff room for their breaks instead of awkwardly lingering around guests since the manager claims there’s no staff room. Overall, awkward experience. Told the manager my opinion on this and definitely seemed like she didn’t believe me or care. As for my food, I give my crepe 5/10.

New concept is refreshing. Large selection of desserts with funny names that makes it interesting. Bring your appetite, plates are big.

Good experience. Excellent offering of desserts. The display of cakes at the entrance makes you want one right away.
