I've been coming here with my family every single day for the past 3 weeks ordering ice cream Takeout. I order 2 scoops of different flavors and ask them to have it in the pine cup and never an issue and super nice staff. Today after 3 weeks of getting this same order the Robert the general manager told me that his Staff was wrong and they should've never done this for me and that he's going to check and and see who was doing this for me and have a talk with them for just putting my order in a different take out cup. I even told him that the other location by my house in mississauga does the same thing and he said they're wrong as well and should be reported to head office. Lost my business and every one I know.

Downright delicious. Big portions, too. They didn't look that big in the pictures on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised.

Amazing desserts as always. I’ve been going since 2000’s. The portion sizes are massive, it’s a little on the pricey side. It would be great to have a mini crepe or waffle option.

You could pick anything at random and it's going to be tasty. Don't fret if the sheer amount of choice paralyzes you as the service and recommendations are very very good. Highly recommended, would visit again.

Order the Belgium waffle-streetcar named devour. Very tasty and waffles were hot and fresh and surprised that the ice cream didn't melt right away. Strawberries weren't sour whatsoever but not sweet either.
Took awhile to get our order on a busy Friday night and not much seating except at the front of the restaurant at the window.

A little pricey, but totally worth it. We've been getting the "Streetcar Named Devour" for years on special occasions, and will go out of our way to get it. Very generous on the ice cream portions!

Staff not professional to handle delivery drivers. I told them the pick up number still he needs my mobile phone for what possible reason?

Friendly staff and good desserts - as fresh as always - but the fruit flies on our most recent visit were really off-putting… they are in your face, on the walls, in the food. And I’m sure management is aware of the issue with the bathroom door slamming loudly every time someone exits. These should be addressed, like, immediately.

My fav is still Katy Berry - was cool to also sample some other desserts, thanks to fam, including Moo LaLa on a belgian waffle, Top Bun (ice cream croissant sandwich) & Incider Trading (apple) & also a custom made-to-order crepes

This place is pricey, but sooo good. We ordered hot chocolate, tongue depressor waffle and a splitsonian waffle. The ice cream was delicious they don't serve the store bought ones. The place was crowded, we went at night. There was even a queue after we got in. Also keep in mind the quantity is quite large that you just have to order one for two people.

Probably the best location. The staff is super nice, the desserts are prepared better than the other locations for sure (menu is same across all the branches). Jacob the manager was really nice and accommodated us pretty much 10 mins before closing time. Most places will shoo you away at that time, but not these guys. Highly recommend!

To 100 dollars: to clarify it was a sundae, New York cheesecake and two crepes (and the two crepes were pretty plain due to us asking: we removed the ice cream, cream, sauce etc on one as someone in our party had some health issues)
service was fast though and lots of staff around.

The manager at front of house let us know there would be a short wait and put us in their digital queue. The wait was less than expected and he expertly handled some other guests who made a fuss about us 'jumping the line'.

Service was fast and whenever we needed help any staff member was quick and happy to help, ie with water, cutlery, getting the bill. While attentive they also know when to leave us to enjoy each other's company and we did not feel rushed.

Items are a little on the expensive side but it's a fun experience and a great alternative to going to a bar. Everything on the menu is cleverly named and we found ourselves enjoying reading the jokes, puns, and references.

I would go back again.

Terrible Customer Service experience. If I could give this restaurant a zero, I would! The General Manager, Robert, denied me service because he said he did not like the attitude of my guest.

My guest sat down while I was ordering take out because he was dizzy and immediately he came over rudely and told him to get up as the seats were not reserved for take-out guests as per policy. My guest asked to see the policy and that seemed to stir him up and he walked over to the sever and canceled my dessert. I asked him why he did that and he answered by stating that "your friend is causing a scene at a family restaurant. " Thereafter, he proceeded to walk directly to my guest and started screaming at him. He then proceeded to contact the Police. Disgusting attitude displayed by Robert. You should be ashamed of yourself!

I felt so amazed eating at Demetres Kingsway. The chocolate cake and the chocolate ice cream I ate was so delicious it satisfied my cravings. The sweetness was good and it's lactose free. Great place for snacks.

BEST ICE CREAM IN THE MILKY WAY! I LOVE Demetres ice cream. The combination of thickness, flavor and satisfaction you get from chomping down on one of these bad boys is unmatched. My favorite order is either the servus shake (chocolate) or the white chocolate silk kiddie scoop. The vibes are also immaculate in here! Never eating ice cream anywhere else unless force fed it! Staff are just as cool as the ice cream (insert sunglass emoji)

The place is cute. Everyone was nice. The waffles were good, not really amazing but it was okayy.

It's been a while since I've been here, and good to come out with friends. Always delicious, but maybe next time, I'll visit Demetres on its own, not after a large restaurant dinner

Honestly I don’t know what to say to this kinda humans! After sitting he said he doesn’t want to serve me and I should go he removed the menus and my water from table! Very bad experience very rude person nor recommend for animal friendly people and this man should get fired

Great place for desserts. Extremely friendly staff, you are always greeted and served with a smile. I mostly order their cake & coffee combo. Though the caramel sauce is extra sweet, I love their "Chocolate caramel cheese cake. " Waffles & crepes are amazing too.

We noticed that the man behind the counter was not wearing his mask while scooping out the ice cream. He was breathing fairly heavily while taking it out. During these COVID-19 times, we should not be seeing this especially when you are in the food business.

A bit pricey but, worth it as the waffles are soft and delicious. Ice cream was thick and creamy and cappuccino was well made.

This popular desert restaurant is located in a cozy strip of stores that's beautiful to walk down on. The crepes and cake are delightful! The staff is fantastically friendly and the atmosphere is lively. Parking is a wee bit tight during peak hours but it's worth the search. We enjoyed our time here. Definitely a 'Friends' atmosphere! Will come back again!

Ordered 2 ice creams and waited for more than 10mins. We had to go and check 2 times, both time they said they’re gonna “check” if it’s in process, it shouldn’t take 20 minutes for ICECREAM! They said “it’s really hectic in the kitchen, I’m not sure”.

Best fruit topped waffles in the town, and cheesecakes are on the other level.
My kids love the nutella waffles with bananas, a healthy dessert for children.

Sooo good! Everything tastes awesome but the problem I have with this place is that two scoops of ice cream cost $9. Expensive but yummy.

Have you seen a transparent waffle? I have.
The waffle I received barely had a structure as if they tried to make three waffles out of single-serving batter.
They put just one teaspoon full of sauce which was not like what the pictures represented.
The ice cream was completely freezer burnt and tasted nothing more than shaved ice.
The food is a joke here. This place is an insult to the food industry.

Edit: I sent an email to the head office at the same time I wrote this review. They NEVER reached out to me.
I found ‘D spot desert cafe’ nearby. It’s awesome, go there instead!

I ordered their chocolate mousse cheesecake. Literally, to die for, better than the cheesecake factory and soo friggin tasty its dangerously addictive that I've had to reorder it several times!

The balding white cashier who claimed they were the manager acted aggressively and yelled at me for asking for my receipt then tried to say they felt threatened

Very clean place. Server was fabulous. I felt like I was in an upper class restaurant as opposed to a dessert bar. The food was quickly and eloquently prepared. Will go back for sure!

It was super crowded and we had to wait to be seated.not too long. The waitress was attentive and let me sample the sorbet as i wasn't sure I'd like it. (It wasn't my favourite) The crepes were absolutely delicious and the ice cream was divine!

Everything was amazing! The atmosphere, the service and the Desert! Kids loved it so did we! Definitely going to be are to go place!

Bald server was super rude to my mother when we asked to change seats. Lots of room in the restaurant, and the instructions were to seat yourself so not sure why we got so much attitude. Otherwise service was fine.

Haven't been to this location for over a year and I noticed the portion of icecream was less than it used to be.

Do you want fast service? Look no further! You need only visit Demetres Kingsway with your service dog, or your friend who uses one. Once you are seated by the host, the manager will try to escort your party to a different table in the corner - because "other guests may not want to sit beside a service dog team" - said as dog is perfectly tucked under our own table. Don't let this deter you though! After describing how, according to the Ontario Service Dogs Act and the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, by telling us to move he was discriminating against us, the manager begrudgingly told us we could stay where we were already seated. On the bright side, the food was ready in no longer than 1 minute (a new record for them!), it was delicious as always, and our waiter was very kind. We must have been in and out in under 20 minutes - as previously mentioned, if fast service is what you're looking for simply follow the aforementioned procedure. In the future, Demetres Kingsway: please educate your staff as a violation of Bill 80 warrants a fine up to $5000.

Me and my friend had been planning to come here to taste the famous cheesecake, our expectations were more than met. It was definitely a special cheesecake. Price was very reasonable we ended up paying 30 dollars for a table of two. Ambience was very nice too.

Wonderful experience! My two friends and ai were immediately greeted and given water with our menus. I got the Unbrûlévable. The portion was huge and well worth the price. I couldn't even finish it. Staff was very attentive even though it was late.

Amazing place for desserts, the portions are massive and more than enough for 2 people depending on what you get. I went there with my girlfriend and we could barely scratch the surface of that monstrous banana split, but it was delicious, and combined with the chocolate milk with marshmallow, was perfect!

Outstanding dessert spot with the best waffles and crepes I’ve had. A little pricey but the service and quality of food makes up for it. Been here many times and I’m looking forward to returning in the future. Tried a crepe this time but I have to give the slight edge to the waffles.

I think this is my favorite GTA location so far. It's super clean and the staff is friendly. They're also super generous with the toppings and they were nice and fresh. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star rating was the set up of the cafe. The spot where we were seated makes it hard to see a server and for them to see you. Otherwise, everything was great. I'll be back

The severs should explain the menu better because the items are always The same. The creperie or patisserie must be indicative always. It is typically European and it must be by European experts only with passion for deserts. Especially Italian Dolciai, they are famous for ruling the desert business all over the world.

This is a generic place with generic crepes-themed food. Toronto has better options for this type of food but the closest one is a few subway stops away. The prices on the menu are hard to find as they use the US number system, i.e. 12 3/4 instead of 12.75, and no $ sign. I'd have given them 3 stars, if not for the latter.

Love this place.been going here since I was little.it's a little annoying that the menus consistently change and dishes have different names, but the food and service is always great

Decadently delicious desserts and open until late

This dessert cafe is just awesome, had The Last Straw on a Waffle and the Pink Sip milkshake. I should have went for a 3rd item.

The Split Personality was the most delicious dessert ever! We were four people to share this beauty and absolutely loved it! ️

A pretty small location for a Demetres but a good one nonetheless. The service is a little slow but its not a big deal, gives you more time to appreciate the decor and atmosphere, and pick what you want too.

Got a deja brew, which was awesome, but also came with a few hairs, not awesome. The guys behind the counter don't wear hairnets.

Easily my favorite dessert place in Toronto. The homemade icecream is soft yet dense and creamy, and the crepes are incredible. Many people I know as far as Sudbury make sure to stop here when they come to the city. Personal favorite is the Pomme Pilot crepe (not pictured). Great for the entire family.

The place is small compared to other Demetres but the service was good. Its always crowded but you will be served in pretty decent time. I like the way servers talk n treat you. Their plate presentation was great with lots of strawberries n banana. Over all happy and will visit again.

Always a great time. I took my girlfriend to Demtres for her birthday. Service was prompt and the desserts were fantastic! We each had Sundaes.mmmm. We will be back again for sure!

Terrible experience, I am Italian and could not speak English very well and they were very rude about it

My husband and I love Demetres at Kingsway. Everytime we have an opportunity, we bring family and friends. We recommend to everyone we know.
My favorite is one that it calls APPLAUSE. My Husband's favorite is COCOA ONO. Everything on the menu is DELICIOUS.

This restaurant is the perfect place for coffee and dessert after a meal or a hard day at work. Each dessert is hand crafted and created to perfection. I ordered the crepe with Bananas and Strawberries over ice cream. I was able to make a substitute of the type of ice cream and unfortunately when it arrived at the table it was the wrong ice cream. The service was absolutely amazing as they were able to correct the issue and bring the flavour I ordered right away. The bathrooms are clean and as I stated the service was fantastic. Mistakes are sometimes made but the important thing is how you respond and how quickly you are able to correct them. There is amble parking in front, ag the side and also on the other side of the street! Great job Demetres staff! You now have a return customer.

Terrible service, terrible food. Managed to ruin my birthday.and I'm not a high maintenance person. As far as I'm concerned if you go here you really don't like yourself or dessert.
