Demetres Shops At Don Mills

I have been to this location 4 times. Each time, it has taken at least 30 minutes for the waiter/waitress to take our order. 3 of the 4 times, they have forgotten at least one person's order. Service is extremely disappointing.

Very calm atmosphere, good food, nice staff, love the waffle and icecream and it was delicioso.

Visited on Sunday evening and the store wasn't that busy but there was about 6 people waiting to be seated. Waited 10 minutes while I saw people in the kitchen talking and making jokes and a server having a conversation with another worker who had just finished while everyone is waiting to be seated. Looks like it's ran by a bunch of kids so decided to leave.

It was a decent atmosphere. Nice staff, but very slow. The quality of the dessert did not meet the Demetres standard. I've had better at another location. I had ordered the Splitsonian Waffle. The ice cream lost its smooth creamy texture and was too frozen, which ended up changing the taste. As, for the waffle, I prefer the crepe instead. However, the food presentation was good. But I wouldn't want to come back to this location.

This is one of the best places I have been to for deserts. I recommend everyone to try this once if you are living here or visiting.

Easily the worst service I’ve had at a restaurant since COVID. Waiters were definitely under the influence

One of the few late night dessert spots in the area, so it’s very popular in the evenings. Seems like a great girls night out or date spot. We came Friday night and it was packed. There’s lots of seating inside and also a reasonably sized patio outside.

We got the pomme pilot liege waffle and the yuzu lemonade. Everything tasted really good. Prices were pretty high for dessert but portions were quite large to make up for that. Two people could probably comfortably share one waffle, the scoop of ice cream they put on there is bigger than my fist.

Disappointed by the literal lack of service tonight. Joined my party late and the server didn't even come over to ask if I wanted to order. Didn't even offer me water. I only showed her my proof of vaccination and that was the only interaction I had with any staff.

We sat on the patio. They don't allow dogs on the patio, but you can tie the dog on the other side. The waitress was very nice, she offered water and a big cup of whipped cream for my dog. This is a very nice gesture. Of course, ice cream and coffee were always good.

If you love desserts…this is your go-to place!

Alert: the portions are BIG Enough to make it worthy of the price….

I came here to have a good time and after along wait for my food they brought me the wrong order and they took forever to bring me what I ordered after. They did not make my fix a priority they made me wait for all the other orders until I got mine fixed.

The manager also was rude to her staff and didn't care about my situation

Friendly and helpful staff, quick and attentive service. Food is as delicious as every other Demetres - nothing to complain about!

Yesterday, my fiance, younger brother and I, ate here for some desserts. The desserts we all got, were extremely delicious. Our server was kind, patient, and happy. The manager was so handsome, charming, and helpful, I believe his name was Josh. He definitely deserves a raise! I would come back just to have another dessert and to converse with that breathtaking manager!

We have tried multiple Demetres. But this one is one of a kind. Great ambiance, great service and best food compared to all other Demetres.

I have been to Whitby Demetres and i was like the worst one so we always come by this location. Must try Demetres.

Tried the Piece Talks (red velvet torte with ice cream) last night and was severely disappointed with the quality for the price point. Paid close to $20 for 1 item which is grossly overpriced for a cake that seemed to have been baked days ago. Demetres has raised the prices quite a bit in the last few months. The only redeeming factor was the staff which was great and the ambience.

Very over rated place. Tried one of the waffles there, it was tasteless and like a bread. Other ingredients were less than average.

We came with a 2 year old and while waiting for our table to get ready, they brought us a scoop of ice cream to keep him busy! Thank you, thank you! ️️️

VERY sweet desserts! Sugar overload! Even the coffee is candy.

Anyways, go for the dulce banana it's really good (see the pictures). Portions are large and shareable - a scoop of ice cream here is considered 2 scoops outside. The desserts are very sweet already so I suggest pairing with their coffee.

Great location with very attentive staff. George was amazing and very attentive. I got the Cocoa Ono and dove right in. For chocolate lovers (like me) I would recommend asking to switch the Honey vanilla ice cream for the Cocoa Chanel. I had a great time, the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because my first choice (the Face Pomme) was sold out.

Had a really bad experience, dessert took forever to come. Delivered ice cream and cakes without cuttlery so we watched our ice creams melt. I had to demand spoons for the ice creams. Then coffees took forever too. The redeeming factor was the manager covered the bill.

Delicious is the first word that comes to mind! Love this place. It was so filling, so much ice cream! Definitely worth the money!

Love the shakes and multiple flavors.definitely visit if you have a sweet tooth. Plus many other treats too choose.

So I just want to say I went here on Thursday with 3 of my friends, and we enjoyed our desserts and everything was a blast. What we didnt't like was when our waitress (Victoria blonde hair) sat us down BUT didn't inform us that you guys don't take cash but visa card and mastercard. And we found it very disrespectful she didn't tell us the moment we walked in. I hope next time you guys have a sign they you only take in cards and not money. Thanks.

This place is perfectly great! I love it. Service is perfect and more importantly the ice cream is awesome! The prices are a little bit more than expected but worthy.
This place is much more better that the Demetres in Richmondhill.

A good place to satiate your sweet cravings. It is a huge place with a lot of seating available. We reached around 11 pm on a Friday night and it was almost packed. The decor and lighting is pretty good. Our server was very helpful and polite. We were a group of five and ordered Tongue Depressor with a Belgian Waffle and Split Personality Sundae. The quantity for both of them was overwhelming but our server was kind enough to caution that before hand. Tongue Depressor was good and overloaded with chocolate flavors, but the waffle was a not crisp as per my liking. The Split Personality had four scoops of different flavors of ice-creams, chocolate, honey vanilla, strawberry royale, dulce and banana, topped with strawberries and banana and brownies. All of the flavors were fantastic and it is a must have if you are in a large group and are ready to share. Overall a very good place which I would recommend everyone to try once atleast. I will be visiting again for sure.

We order the dessert for 5 people we got for 4 people almost they finish till we get the fifth one after all gone eating they shouldn’t forget the last one should get all the same time not after 15 minute

Always a wonderful experience at this beautifully set up location. Service provided by our server Carol was more than exceptional. No matter how slammed the restaurant is, she is always smiling and maintains professionalism. The managers on duty at this location are very supportive towards their staff and constantly assisting. Great desserts, friendly staff. This place was better than I had expected. Will be returning in the future.
