Denninger's Foods of the World - Oakville

This Oakville location has low supplies. I was looking for Poppy seed bangles, which had only 2 of 1/4 size, brought an Apple Pie. To get to the to the chase, the cashier told me that they get supplies from the Burlington location. Go there they have everything and have a butcher.

This wonderful grocer is filled with foods that suit every appetite. Everytime I shop here, I always end up finding the most unique meals and amazing ingredients and snacks that satisfy.

I've been shopping at Demon's be for over 40 years. It used to be the only place to get good German tasting foods and I still prefer their meats, sausages, breads and cheeses. They have a great selection of specialty European sweets, especially at Christmas and Easter. It's small but I always come home with ONLY
what I need.

This location is the worst in the chain. The clerks constantly apologize and will tell you, "You should go to Burlington for this or that. " Have no clue why you can't see fit to build a large size store in Oakville, which now has a larger population than Burlington, is not a poor community and which also has very little in the way of shopping facilities.

Now I hear they are leaving this location as it is up for sublet so I guess they have given up on Oakville.

Always double check your bill: I got charged 8.99 for a can of soda and full price for a "1/2 price" takeout food. It was delicious though. Be extra careful and check the best before date - could easily get an expired product.

We shop there a lot and love it but their seafood chowder tastes of nothing and contains no discernible seafood.

It's a very small store. The selection is impressive given its size, but not by any other standard. The last time I was in there I was made to feel SO uncomfortable! A staff member followed me around the store pretending to fix things on the shelves. It was so obvious and awkward. The manager is usually pretty nice and there's a couple cashiers that are so sweet they could make your day on their own! But there are a few other ladies there that always make me less than welcome. I think I'll just be going to the Farm boy across the street from now on.

Love shopping at Denningers. Great food and good quality. Lots of varieties of things to choose from. Frozen ready made foods, ready made food thst is nit frozen foods from around the world.

This location in Oakville is the smallest one. It offers many different products from Germany and freshly made at a store. Bread, famous delicious sausages, pastry, cosmetics and really good quality laundry detergents. At the back of the store you can find a lot of parking spaces. 100% recommend

Property manager will tow your car as soon as you leave the property if you plan on doing any shopping at other businesses.

Food's generally good, especially at cafeteria. Store items quite Euro style but both areas are EXPENSIVE. Meats etc made in their own plant (only Provincial inspection, so they can "get away" with a lot.) Ingredient / nutrition labels often in error or missing. Few / no knowledgeable staff - just sales people. Overall, ok, but not up to the hype. Very impressed with themselves.

Always great service, food is amazing, over the years getting some European foods here.

I don't live in the area but my audiologist is across the street. After my appointment it's treat time in Dennnger's. Great cold meats and beef sausage. Home made soups frozen are available. Lots of cookies and jams.

I like the fact that they stock lumpfish caviar, compared to Whole Foods who mislabel their salmon roe as caviar.

Really great meats and sausages and cheeses and just general European "goodies" Very friendly staff and manager. I wouldn't buy things here that you can find at a "regular" grocery store (like Loblaws) unless you are desperate, or don't feel like going to another store, because the prices are significantly higher.

Not so friendly staff. No hello, no thank you. Not the first time. I won't be going there again at this location.

Was there today. This guidance from Halton is not enforced. Disappointing.

This is a nice store to stop by for European foods, and they have a nice hot counter for a quick lunch.

Smaller than other Denninger’s but still has all the staples they offer. The downtown location is very convenient as it offers a large variety of European food products from chocolates to cookies to cheeses and cold cuts. They also sell ready made foods, meat products, a full deli section and hot meals. On my way out I also noticed a gifts section with gift baskets and different hand curated items. The cheese selection is always impressive as well as the confectionery items on display. There is also a lot of parking and staff are as friendly as other locations I visited and eager to help. You can sample a lot of the deli products depending on what their specials are.

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this excellent restaurant.happy to tell that we enjoyed a terrific evening and the venue was evidently the reason for that strong event. The waiters cooperated in a lovely way, the cooking was great and my friends were very glad. We shall surely come back again for more events. Thank you very much.

Always excellent quality in the variety of purchase options and the Deli hot table is consistently superb for dining while shopping.

SHAME ON YOU DENNINGERS FOR HIRING PHILS TOWING TO TOW CARS FROM YOUR LOT AFTER HOURS WHEN THE PARKING LOT IS COMPLETELY EMPTY FOR $400! ESPECIALLY RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS! THANKS FOR RUINING MY KIDS CHRISTMAS! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT YOUR STORE!

I bought apple pie No Sugar Added. At home I observed was made with ASPARTAME this cancerigen and worse sweetener. Whay? The taste was changed my husband observed. I was happy to find something healthy.was looking good. IWas my favorite store. I am not happy in this moment.

Stopped by at the store today. When we came out our car was towed by Phil's towing. Had to pay $367 to get the car. Not coming to bronte again. Not the stores fault but they should talk to managment as they are losing business because of unethical practices by towing company.

This location (Bronte) is a small store of the chain. Good selection of foods even for being such a small store. Staff really friendly at this location.

Love, love, love. My very favorite place to go in Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton (when I'm in town). The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The food that you can buy to dine in or take out is SO GOOD. Then you can buy it cold or frozen to make st home later.

The burgers with their gravy is a great meal to make at home. You won't be disappointed.

We happened to park in the parking lot at Dennigers on Saturday right at closing time in Bronte and decided to take a leisurely stroll down to the water. When we returned, we were shocked to find that our car had been towed! The parking lot was almost completely empty and it took us a few minutes to figure out what happened. There was one sign near the entrance that we obviously hadn’t noticed that read “customer parking only. All others will be ticketed or towed” When we called the number it was Phil’s towing and they gave us the address and said that Dennigers called them to tow us! $367.00 later! Thank you for your small town hospitality Dennigers. You will never have our business. I understand if it was a busy time of day and we left our car for hours, but this was closing time and was obviously done just to be mean.

Will absolutely never go to this location again. My car was towed while I was in the grocery store for approximately 20 minutes. It is devastating to see that local businesses allow such robbery take place, I had to pay $400 to an extremely sketchy tow company PHILS TOWING. Shame that because of this I will never support any of the businesses in the surrounding area. CRIMINAL.

Southwest Oakville is a particular shopping desert. Not even a single bakery outside of grocery stores for 40K people. I just don't understand you not seeing the opportunity. Monastery Bakery, which isn't very good, is jam packed, because nothing else is available.

Going here since I was a kid with my father. I'm 58 now. Still top notch service and quality. Staff is helpful and courteous.

Love the variety of European products. Their meat counter is excellent.the beef filets are consistently high quality. I have found cheese prices frequently better than the big chains!

This is by far the worst Denninger's, the hot food quality is very low and selection is abysmal. The hot counter won't let you pay there so you have to stand in the regular cash line. Cooks were eating with their hands right behind the line as soon as we were finished getting our food. Breads and pastries are very low quality and different from the rest of the Denninger's locations.

Will not go back to this location but will be a patron for life at the others

I like some of their foods. It's in a great neighbourhood. They did though follow me around, as if I was stealing. The nerve

Pretty good for its small size. They have a hot table and grill. Their hours are not very good as they close early
