Learning the store products. Ready made meals, ready made meats, condiments and potato salads. Trying pork cordon bleu and a small potato salad a twelve dollar meal for two.

My first time experience was very pleasant. My group purchased items for a BBQ dinner and we loved the varieties of beef patties we purchased (one of them had a mushrooms and cheese mixture and I LOVED IT).

My second time I made a visit and we didn't realize we were arriving close to closing time (4pm on a weekend). What I didn't expect was the employees running to lock the door before we got to it. I brushed it off because again, it was close to closing time.

My most recent visit was today and most of the employees were MISERABLE, frowning, unhappy and it was noticeable all over their faces. My partner went to the hot food section and ordered a meatloaf dinner, the female employee behind the counter replied " I don't have it" in a miserable tone and stood there and stared at him with no suggestion as to what they DO have at that moment. So he was caught off guard and he asked if they had the schnitzel dinner. She began making our food while I shopped around at the frozen food section. When we went to cash out our cashier greeted us and I was looking at the screen to make sure the items was was purchasing were ringing up correctly. When I noticed the 2 cheese breadsticks (2 in 1 bag) rang up more than what I thought. I asked if that was right cause the sign said 1.98 or something. The cashier said "no.its for each and it's been that way forever". Me not knowing that, assumed 2 breadsticks in the same bag would be counted as 1. I wanted to no longer purchase that because I find that kind of silly and confusing as a customer. My partner just told me to buy it and not make a fuss.

When we both got in our vehicle he was the one who asked me of the workers in there seemed miserable or if it was just him. So I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Not sure if I'll be back at this location, it is out of our way to go here and there are other friendlier local places in Hamilton that are happy to have people walk in their stores to spend their money.

Part of my usual grocery run, love the lasagna and honestly miss the bistro! Happy they still put out a few items here or there, I always try to snatch them up when I see them. Plus all the employees are very nice and down to earth, great place

Lots of good food stuffs from Germany and E. Europe. Wide selection of cold cuts and amazing sweets. I highly recommend trying topkuss. A German chocolate covered marshmallow treat that Denninger's sells.

Their hot counter is also really good. One of the best grocery hot counters in Hamilton, hands down.

I go for the garlic baloney my kids really love it. They have amazing food cant be beaten.very clean well kept

I travelled from Niagara Falls to Hamilton to take my elderly neighbor to an appointment and she brought me here to have lunch. I was told if i didnt have a mask that i couldnt be in the store! I have a health issue and i cannot wear one and i do not appreciate someone being rude to me about the issue instead of saying maam is there a reason that you dont have a mask on! Seeing as you are not allowed to discriminate or even question someone about why they arent wearing a mask anyways but i wouldve dealt with the situation better being asked that question instead of being told that i cannot be in the store! So instead after i spent almost $30 for lunch i had to drive home with my meal and wasnt able to enjoy it! You can bet i will never return nor will i send anyone that way to eat! Very unhappy customer!?

As a tradition I come here every second weekend to eat breakfast. Food is always good and workers are very friendly!

Great selection of prepared/frozen take away meals.some vegetarian too! Vegan cheese and Beet burgers:)

Denninger’s has been Hamilton’s very best offspring for the last 30+ years. The depth and breadth of products never ceases to amaze. Don’t let the comments about the service deter you from going as you’ll miss out on one of the best experiences you’ll have in the city. It’s traditional Eastern European service at its best:) PLEASE open a shop In Toronto. We need you!

NO hand sanitizer available when entering store! I asked a staff member at the entrance door, he simply said "no we don't have any" it appeared they don't ever make it available for customers. There was only a roll of paper towels and cleaner for the carts & baskets at the front entrance. The same same staff I asked was there wiping some carts & baskets but had to continuously leave that task to go back & forth between that task & cashier duties. Also NO hand soap in the women's bathroom!
Yes your food is always very good & I have been a customer for over 40 years but you may have lost this customer because now I'm worried about the cleanliness of your store since you are too cheap to buy hand sanitizer & have extra staff on duty to ensure everything is sanitized.
I am extremely disappointed with Denniger's Queenston Rd Stoney Creek! You should be ashamed of yourselves for the lack of hand hygiene products available to your customers during a pandemic!

Staff is very rude to younger generation customers. I had walked in to as for a garbage bag as I had just drove 25K to donate some clothes to the neighbouring value village.the lady at cash looked me up and down and dismissed me extremely rudely. I then asked if they sold garbage bags and her response was the same.overall, a terrible experience with the older rude staff here.

While not as large as some of their other stores, still have great selection of the most popular items.

I just love this place always have but I forgot to buy a noodle maker for my Hungarian chicken paprikash dumplings and I live out west. Darn.

Great selections of foods, a very good deli, solid cheese variety, hot food bar and always friendly and helpful staff at the Queenston location.
My family loves going here!

Good selection of meat, cheese, crackers, baked goods, premade meals & deli counter. Fresh kitchen for a hot meal as well.

BUYER BEWARE!
I saw a student show the manager that there was mold on the kielbasa. The manager, Lisa, just told the student to wash it off and sell it. Who knows what other expired/moldy things they're selling?
Also, on several occasions, I've witnessed that same manager named Lisa yell at employees. I will not be shopping here while she is still employed and I will be telling everyone else not to either. I can't support businesses who employ these kinds of people.

EDIT: Recently checked in to see if the establishment had improved and the abusive manager (Lisa) is continuing to work there. I spoke with a few employees and apparently several people have quit because of her. This place DOES NOT care about their employees or their customers.

Good variety, friendly staff. My favorite place to buy chiken schnitzel, also you can find humblebee raw honey here.

Smaller store than the others has the staples! We always stop at Denningers whenever we are in town!

You can never go wrong at Denninger's! I can literally browse around that store for a couple of hours. They have so many delectable foods to eat. The freshest cold cuts and fresh butchered pork chops, steaks, roast beef and pork! Then there is the bread section! Dark rye, light rye, potato bread, sourdough, and the list goes on. Pies, strudels, donuts, cookies and specialty cakes! They also have a hot food bar. Stop in for a quick bite to eat or take something to go. If you haven't tried Denninger's yet, what are you waiting for! You won't be sorry that's for sure. Yummy, yummy

This location has been here for a long time and is a wonderful place to come and have a quiet lunch. The food is real fresh with new things always on the menu. They always have samples which is great to try new products. Let's not forget there home fries they are the best a crowd pleaser. Great place to come and grab food for a picnic or take out lunch or dinner. Enjoy

This is the best store when it comes to a wide range of food selection. Store is clean and organized and the staff here are amazing.

Amazing place. Definitely a great spot for lunch. Cafeteria makes a lovely chicken schnitzel with your choice of delicious side dishes. Deli is extensive. Meat counter stocked with very high quality cuts that are far and above grocery store grades. Tons of imported sauces, jams, pastas, and of course an array of goodies and baked delights. Go ahead and shop hungry.you'll leave with lots of deliciousness!

Love the selection. Great for special Christmas time treats. Meat counter is helpful. Lunch counter is pretty good. My lunch stop when in the area.

One stock person was a little outspoken too quickly. That person needs to do her job and keep the mouth quite. Did have a lovely smile for my brother. Samples great. Ordered cherry strudel and got blueberry instead. Good error. Coffee and strudel excellent.
