Dentistry On Ellesmere

I needed to have my tooth extracted and a bone graft done here at dentistry on ellesmere, and I’m glad to say I had a great experience.

From the front desk with Medy, who was extremely nice and gave me a great price for my procedure, to Dr. Kunjan who gave me an explanation of all my options and answered all my questions along the way. All the staff here were very friendly, including the dental assistants (sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names!).

I’ve had bad experiences with dentists in the past but this clinic knows what they are doing and I will be coming back here for all my dental work!

From the receptionist to the dentist everyone was amazing. From the very first step I took in the clinic they made sure I was taken care of. I had a random incident after my cleaning and THE WHOLE CLINIC made sure I was taken care of which is more than what they are supposed to do. In here they really treat you as a FAMILY. I will never go to any dental clinic again.

This place is clean. Dr. Thakkar is pretty cool and very down to earth. The staff is very friendly. I love how they remind me, by text and email, so I don't forget. He took my wisdom tooth out in the blink of an eye I was impress. Thanks Dr. T

It has been a wonderful experience with Dr. Thakkar. I was skeptical at first but I have got my all four wisdom teeth removed from the doctor. Additionally, he has taken care of all my cavities. The Dentistry on Ellesmere is the best dentist clinic I came across ever since I moved to Canada. Looking forward towards Invisalign treatment…. Super excited to have perfect smile with straight teeth.

I’ve been coming here for quite a while now. Everything always goes well but I am not happy with the new receptionist they have at the front desk. She is very rude and I don’t like her tone. A few others that I have sent here also say the same thing. Please bring back the other receptionist.

Dentistry On Ellesmere is a dental clinic giving patients welcoming, comfortable and professional services. I love everyone from this clinic.

The hygienist was very good. The dentist not so much. Having never met me, but being new to the practice herself, the dentist proceeded to lecture me about what she's observing as if I had no familiarity with my own mouth (which is in excellent health). I have been going to that practice for 15 years and she didn't even look at my chart before speaking to me. I was so irritated. Then they suggested 4 month intervals for the next follow upappointment with no real cause other than what seems like a money grab to charge my insurance more frequently. Sad to say, but I will be looking for another dentist. They are getting 3 stars only because the hygienist was very kind and did a good job.

I recently had a great experience at Dr. T's dental clinic. The staff were friendly and professional, and they made me feel at ease throughout my visit. The clinic was clean and well-maintained, which was reassuring during these times. Dr. T took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions, which I appreciated. I was also impressed with the state-of-the-art equipment they had, which made my treatment more efficient and effective. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. T's dental clinic to anyone looking for quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

I recently took my child to Dentistey On Ellesmere for routine checkup, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they went out of their way to make my child feel comfortable and at ease. The clinic itself was bright and inviting, and my child loved the fun decor and the toys and books that were available in the waiting area.

Dr. Preethi was fantastic with my child and took the time to explain everything in a way that they could understand. They even let my child wear sunglasses during the appointment, which helped to keep them relaxed and comfortable.

Overall, I highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a child-friendly and welcoming environment for their child's dental appointments.

Exceptional service is an understatement. The staff working at this dentistry go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy, satisfied, and comfortable. As soon as I walked in I received a warm welcome from Maddy at the front desk. Her level of customer service, focus, and patience is like none other. She made it so all I had to do was show up and everything else was taken care of. She also went out of her way to remind me of my appointment this morning, which if you’re someone forgetful like me, you’ll be very grateful for. Leading up to my appointment I also received a few automated text messages reminding me of my appointment, with an easy way to cancel if need be. Dr. Preevhi was my Hygienist and words can not describe how amazing she is as well. Very patient, very gentle, very kind and the list could go on forever. Not once did I feel any pain or uncomfortableness. It was almost like she wasn’t even working on my mouth. She also gave me plenty of helpful tips to keep my mouth in good health and avoid any future problems. If I had to rate Dr. Preevhi out of 10, it’d have to be a 10/10. Couldn’t have been any better. As my appointment came to an end, I received a nice little loot bag containing some quality toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss. Booking my next appointment was also hassle free with the miraculous Arna making it very simple and stress free. She worked around my schedule and did her best to fulfill my preferences. So overall as you can tell, you will not to be left unsatisfied with The Dentistry On Ellesmere. They’re all so kind and welcoming, making sure you feel comfortable with all your expectations met. With Maddy and Arna’s amazing personalities like no other along with Dr. Preevhi’s level of skill and kindness, you will not only leave your appointment with a refurbished clean mouth but with a smile on your face. Best Dentist and Dental Assistants in Town! Everyone is very pleasant and greeting from the rime you open the door.

I have been to the office for such a long time and new dentist Dr. Pretty is very professional and friendly. She takes her time to explain things in detail and staff is great.

Very Good service by Dr. Thakar - I was greeted with warm hands by the staff clerk. Work thoroughly done by Dentist (Dr. T) and Hygienists. Also honest and straight forward.

Really kind staff and doctor. Had my first couple of wisdom teeth removed here and I felt really looked after. Thank you to Dr. Thakkar.and the rest of the workers at dentistry on ellesmer for your hard work.

Doctor Thakkar responded that "prices change over time", and became very short and angry after this point.he stated he no longer wanted to speak with me "if I was going to tell him that he wasn't a proficient doctor" I asked him to calm down and made it clear that was not my intention, that I was upset because the cost was not made clear when I asked for it and that as a result I was left paying for an unaffordable procedure. After voicing my discomfort with the procedure, His response was "your just saying that it was bad because of the money, money isn't an issue for us" "if this is just about the money then money isn't an issue for us. " Being very short he said he would "speak to his manager about a partial reimbursement" and that the receptionist would get back to me. The receptionist called me back and said that they would reimburse me $100, of my $673 bill. Which feels quite careless/ stingy especially after explaining my financial situation was scarce/ tight, and being told that "money is not an issue for us" (referring to the dental clinic). Multiple times. The receptionist said that they never give discounts, and was only doing this to show they "care" she also said that dental extractions start at $250 - $600 which was a completely different number than the orginal quote (originally when i booked the appointment she said $250 was the MAX!). This is not good, this is not okay, this is not caring for your patients, this is taking advantage of your patients and a shady business practice. You need to have TRANSPARENCY about your dental procedure prices, especially when requested.

New doctor is not patient or proficient and does not care about his patients… I used to go to this dentist office back when dr. Allen ran it, and he was great, efficient, and effective, so I wasn’t worried, and was used to being in good hands. This is my first experience back in 5 years and what a horrible experience it was. I made an appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction, and the receptionist quoted me $250 or less for a complicated tooth extraction, I dont have insurance, I’ve been off work for a while and money is tight for me right now, so getting the cost of the procedure upfront was necessary.while in the office I was pressured into getting another X-ray since my old ones were 5 years old. Which I understood, you can’t work blind, so I asked for the price breakdown including the x-ray and the answer was still unclear, the hygienist asked the secretary, and they said $77 for the x-ray. I consented. Understanding that I was now paying for the x-ray $77, exam $155, and the tooth extraction which I was quoted $250 for, So around $482 is what I was expecting to be charged. We get to the tooth extraction And Dr. Thakkars numbing methods are very different from dr Allen’s. He gave me 2 needles then left to wait for the numbing to take effect, then came back to “check” if it had worked, he began applying very hard pressure on my tooth and it was very painful. He started the procedure and I could still feel sharp pains, to which he said “I’ll use the stronger stuff” and then proceeded to freeze me more. I was stabbed with the needle at least 6 times before it was adequate. The whole experience was very painful to say the least. He was also rude to his dental assistant, who was a young woman. I could see his frustration with her, and at one point he asked her to go check if another room was ready for the next patient while still in my mouth, when she put down the suction tube, and went to go check, he snapped at her and said “you need to be right here, I can’t see anything right now. ” “I can’t see, I need you here. ” but he was the one who asked her to go check instead of just focusing on my procedure. He also make me feel very strange, I brought my boyfriend along for support, but doctor Thakkar almost acted as if he was the one who was going through the procedure, he made eye contact with my boyfriend and seemed to address him more than me. At one point he had the numbing needle in my mouth and paused to explain and make eye contact to my BOYFRIEND about how MY tooth was infected and so the freezing might not work properly, and if it doesn’t I’ll have to come back. After around 30 mins, and a lot of pain the tooth was finally out. After the procedure I went to the receptionist to pay and the total increased to a $673.00 bill. I was charged $441.00 just for tooth extraction itself, a much higher price than the original $250 quote. I became very distraught at this point as I had explained that this is my slow season and that money was a issue for me. The receptionist asked me why I didn’t ask for the price before the procedure and I stated that I did. That it was them who was not upfront/ clear. She then tried to calm me and said that she would call me the next day and talk to the doctor about a partial reimbursement. The next day I don’t receive a call from the office so I call them to explain my situation again. The receptionist tells me to hold and that I can speak to the doctor, so that he can “explain” why the charges are so high. I spoke to doctor thakkar, he said the procedure was complicated, and that’s why he charged me so much. I reminded him that I’ve had more complicated extRactions in the past (impacted wisdom teeth, extracted by doctor Allen) and that they were done more effectively, and with less pain discomfort, and that I was still charged less, this review is not finished.

Felt rushed, I can't close my mouth entirely or chew food as my molars can no longer touch. Sorry to see Dr Allen go.

Had a great experience with the team of friendly and competent dentists. The staff was great at explaining my opinions and assisting me through the process. Very clean and all staff had proper PPE while working on the site to ensure the safety of clients.

Had a really good experience with cleaning and check-ups. The hygienist was very thorough but also gentle. Too often, cleanings are painful (when they accidentally stick you in the gums), or you feel like you're drowning. This is not the case here and I highly recommend this practice.

Dr Kunjan Thakkar did a fantastic job on my tooth, am so grateful to him. My case required urgent attention and he agreed to treat me, monies was a bit of a concern however, when I explained him that I may not be able to pay the quoted fee, he went above and beyond to treat me with respect, and charged me a reduced fee amount. I was so happy, I strongly believe that effective communication goes a long way and it definitely did in my case.
