Dentistry on Wellington - A Dawson Dental Family Practice

I agree with the comments about when it use to be a family dentistry.
Now this place is awful nothing but sell sell sell. I had the worst experience last summer when they filled the gaps between my teeth.the lady butchered me left mounds of filling on my teeth.

I really like this dentist office. When my regular office closed during covid, I had the task of finding a new dentist for the first time in many, many years. I originally selected Dentistry on Wellington because they were close to me, but I have stayed with them because of their service. They are respectful of my time, so my appointments are always on time. Ashley is a skilled hygienist, she explains all the procedures and does not cause any discomfort. All the staff are friendly, and professional. I have found my forever dentist.)

Everyone starting from the time you were greeted when you walked into the office. To Ashley the dental Hygienist and Dr. Yuliya my Dentist both were just amazing! Not forgetting the people at the front desk who were just as amazing! It was a very positive experience. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them what so ever.

I do not recommend.
As a patient of Dr Neiman (25+ years) and now Dawson dental the service has decreased a great amount. It used to be a family/friendly vibe is now replaced with a corporate time is money vibe.
They have tried to cancel appointments on me last minute (I have to take a day off work to fit them into my schedule) and misdiagnosis of problems in my mouth that take the upwards of months now to fix.
I’m leaving this practice and would not recommend this practice to anyone.

If I could I would give this place a zero! I went in for a root canal, and after 2weeks I still had severe pain, When I saw the dentist, they said it was normal and to take ibuprofen. I went to a different dentist, and it turned out.my messed up my tooth! So be careful walking in there.

My teeth we fine until I went there as a new patient for a cleaning and they told me I needed 3 fillings. When I went for the fillings it hurt so much and my teeth are in so much pain now. After a few months still. Please be careful if you go there. I have an appointment elsewhere to fix the issues they caused with my teeth. Butchers.

I would have given 5 stars minus two issues. They were prompt and dealt with the issue immediately. With that said the issues I had was the dentist rubbed my gums with what I assume was a prenumbing agent but immediately jabbed me with the actual numbing which was new to me after having multiple teeth extracted prior to this facility, this was odd for me to encounter. I had two teeth extracted upon this visit. Nothing administered for pain management after they were extracted and literally started unfreezing at the gas station off of Anne and Dunlop. I was MISERABLE. She did numb me and was extremely fast. That's the positive to the visit but the pain was unbearable 15 minutes after the procedure was done!
It was a win loose situation. But all in all it was clean, they were friendly and did what needed to be done!

I was a patient of Dr Neiman for many years. More recently I had a terrible and expensive ($1400) negative experience. It started with a plan to replace a crown. The temporary crown was done then I developed an infection. Only at this point was it determined that I required a root canal. Not sure why that wasn’t decided before the start of the crown replacement. The root canal (not my first) was very painful. Because I had no confidence in this clinic I sought a second opinion and ended up having the tooth extracted. I was told the tooth was too weak for a crown.

I'm so happy I chose this dental clinic to take care of my teeth. I had great experience with Dr. Umair team. She's very honest and professional. See you next time

Well after years & years of having services done there with Dr Max N, I truly was a fan up until about 4 months ago.when too many cooks in the kitchen have too many opinions. Which left me, the paying customer with 2 missing teeth. Moved on. For all the services that have incurred $, your welcome

I had about as good of a time as you could have at the Dentist. They were quick and efficient at helping me out and they were very accommodating towards my particular insurance coverage. All in all I think it’s a good place to get your teeth looked at.

Im disabled and on a fixed income. I asked the receptionists to email me because I cant afford a phone and they said it was no problem. I came in for an appointment and they said they thought I wasnt coming and lectured me on not returning their confirmation calls. I reminded them that they are supposed to email me. I had x-rays done and they were supposed to email me for an appointment for a cavity once they looked at the x-rays. They never emailed me. I called from a friends phone to make an appointment and was told I wasn't in their system. I explained that I've been going to their office for years and the lady on the phone just repeated that I wasnt there and suggested that I had the wrong office or number. They tend to try and blame you when they cant figure things out. They literally sat on the phone for ten minutes suggesting ways I was mistaken. I asked for a manager or to talk to someone else and when I did they found me on their computer instantly and made me an appointment four days later. When I showed up they couldnt find me in the system. When they did, they told me I didnt have an appointment scheduled and suggested I called the wrong office AGAIN. I literally showed them my friends phone records to prove it was their number I called. Im four months pregnant and walked 45 min to get there so I started to look frustrated. I asked for a manager and was told she wasnt in. Then the manager I spoke to on the phone who made my appointment four days earlier came out of her office and told me to come in to talk. The lady at the front desk lied about her not being in. The manager only came out when she over heard me saying I talked to a manager on the phone four days earlier. The manager admitted she made the appointment but later saw it wasnt there and assumed I must have cancelled it! Again, diverting responsibilty to the customer. I made a new appointment and was told to bring in paperwork from my disability program for insurance or else I would have to pay for my appointment. I explained to them that that paperwork is no longer the policy, and that Im required to bring in my Ontario Health Card only. To that, I was told I was wrong (even though its been this way for three years) because the manager read about it themselves online. I told them there are web pages that are out of date and to try looking into it again, and she assured me it was my responsibility to bring in that paperwork that doesnt even exist and is not even available anymore. This all was for a brown spot on my tooth that I asked about years ago and was told it was just discolouration, so I was surprised when I was told it was actually a cavity. Just going to get this cavity fixed and then find a new dentist. 1/10 do not recommend. Bad reception and customer service and bad dentists. Never had someone try to gaslight me and blame me so many times in a row about their own mistake without even a single apology.

Everyone is always extremely friendly and very knowledgeable! I have had many years of excellent service.

Was in for regular check up. Great experience, friendly staff (front desk, hygienist and dentist), and easy to follow covid directions.

The covid protocols are AMAZING! This is truly the best office, with the friendliest staff. You have to go here.

They scheduled an appointment at 9am on a Sat yet didn't inform me that they were closed so i had to pay for a taxi their and back for nothing

You know how you go into some establishments and the employees are trying to be nice and its fake.not the case here, the team at this office is genuinely warm and comforting. Dr Artwal, Judy, Sarah and Jennifer are amazing very patient and competent.

Every time I go to the dentist. I'm reminded why I chose Dawson dental inthe first place. Stephanie at the front desk always greets me with a great big smile and a laugh. The doctors are excellent! And will alleviate any fears of seeing them.

I went to Dawson Dental Centre recently because a friend recommended me to them. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 4 years so it was definitely a frightening experience. All in all, it was a really good one! Given the whole experience, I’d say my most memorable, and part I’m most thankful of, is the lady at the front desk. Stephanie has got a completely different vibe to her. When I first came in, she didn’t judge me for not going to a dentist for 4 years. She in fact told me she was proud of me, because me finally deciding to come after 4 years is a step in the right direction because it means I came to fix things. She made me feel like family, and that’s a rare feeling in today’s age. The whole experience from her greeting, to answering any questions I had and making sure anyone who was waiting was entertained, made the experience that much sweeter. She took care of everything insurance related, which was amazing because I was thankful I didn’t have to pay out of pocket and wait for a refund like you have to do at most places. The whole experience was amazing from her to toe. Stephanie was amazing for the first person experience, and represented the company well. The hygienist was also the most general I’ve ever seen! I have very, very sensitive teeth, and I think I only had to take one pause instead of my usual 4-5, which was the reason I stopped going to begin with. I’m definitely going to be going every 3-4 months for a routine cleaning, because of the experience that employees like Stephanie deliver!

I recently moved to the Barrie area and was in need of a dentist, so I asked my neighbor who her family sees and without hesitation she said Dr. Max Neiman! Being somewhat of a nervous patient, I took her recommendation and was beyond pleased with both the staff and Dr. Neiman himself. Upon entering their office, their staff welcomed me to the practice, helped me understand my insurance benefits and took the time to make me feel comfortable and at ease. One of the few times I have EVER felt relaxed through a dental visit. I will be returning with my family! THANK YOU!

I had a wonderful experience at Dawson Dental in Barrie recently and wanted to share it.
I have been an on and off patient for a number of years as I have a fear of the dentist and no benefits. I recently had a terrible toothache and called the office.
From the get go the reception I received was stellar. I was made to feel welcome and reassured. My problem was solved and the front desk staff and Dr. Neiman and his assistant were so kind and caring.
