Despite being in my neighbourhood for a while now, I didn't step through Dep's doors until my first time today. I regret not coming here sooner. I haven't had a cut in almost 10 months, but Focus was up to the task and he took the time to make sure I was happy with his work. These gentlemen take great pride in what they're doing and clearly strive for quality, all in a fun and relaxing environment. Thanks again, Focus, and I'll certainly be visiting again. Took my little brothers here for haircuts and Jay did a wonderful job. The atmosphere is really clean and sterile. Jay throughly listened to what my brothers wants and the boys absolutely loved getting their new cut! We will definitely be going back

I go here probably twice a month, sometimes more (I like to stay fresh). Long story short, the guys are awesome, super chill and very fun to be around. I only ever get my hair done by Jay (jaytop_blendz) cause the man’s got talent and charisma for days. If you’re looking to get a cut, I emplore you to get it done by him.

The Vintage clothes are insanely priced. I’ve actually never seen such a great selection for such a reasonable price before. The employees are so kind and helpful genuinely love the vibes in the store.

I would recommend asking the barbers if they are able to replicate the style of haircut you want before they start. From my experience, showing pictures and the name of the style to them isn't good enough. Went there 3 times and 2 out 3. I didn't get the cut I wanted. They weren't bad haircuts but not what i showed them. My hairline did look choppy and uneven, which adds to my disappointment. Might need to get more training on cutting kinky 4c hairstyle.

The worst haircut experience ive had.
I showed drippy a pic of the last time i had my haircut and told him thats what i had in mind. He said no problem then proceeded to cut off way more hair than i requested. I got home and took a better look at the haircut and realized the fade isnt straight and uniform. I asked for a low fade and it turned out to be more like a high fade because he just kept going shorter and higher. The scissor work on top is not uniform or the same length throughout. He cut into my hairline pretty aggressively around my ears and side burns.
I called him and expressed my concerns and he just told me it wasnt his fault.
My appointment was the first appointment of the morning and he showed up late for the appointment to open the shop.

It was an expensive haircut and im disappointed by the service. I would not recommend this barber shop to anyone and i will never go back. I dont understand how they have such a high rating.

Best fade ive had in a while, young guy wahid touched my fade up and made it look better thanany barber has in a while. Appreciate the focus he had while cutting my hair and attention to detail.

Jaytop did my cut and line up. He was very professional and really took his time to focus on every little detail. He takes pride in his work. He worked with me to help me figure out what would look best.

Great experience, chill guys all around, and my barber Drippy did a clean fade and trimmed my top, both done perfectly and exactly how I requested. 10/10

Best Barbershop in Ottawa. I found the Dep a few years back and haven't gone anywhere since. The place has modern vibes plus the energy of a classic barber shop that you would find in the 90's. Added bonus of vintage clothes if you're looking for a nice piece to add to the closet. If he's not busy ask for Drippy, the guy will fix you up for real.lowkey the chillest place in Ottawa.

Wasn't planning on having my hair cut. I watched Wahid cut my teen's hair, he gave them great advice on their style, was very thorough and precise. I also enjoyed the vibe of the barbershop. I asked him to cut mine too. Great venue, excellent service provided as a walk-in.

First time in Ottawa and this barbershop catch my eye, beautiful place and professional barber, they are really nice with cut, specially with my hair type. Definitely should go check them out! 5 star is not enough

They not only good at cutting hair, they can dye and perm hair real nice. I been looking for barbershop where I can get my hair perm and Dep barbershop got it all. Will be back again for sure they even took some photo of me after, awesome

These guys are great! Brought my 4 yr old son for a haircut by Malik and the end result was terrific. Malik was patient, laid back, and did a wonderful job. Will be going back regularly. Cool vibe. Pro.

I went through over 8 barbers in 2 years to find the one for me. DOD cuts (Kelvin) as the final one. He pays attention to detail with your hair and never rushes the cut even if it takes longer. Extremely good at fades and no other barber cuts the top like he does. He layers it properly and adds texture to your hair with his style of cutting. No other barber cuts the top of your head like he will.

Hoba is outstanding. Thoughtful and careful, he doesn’t whip through the haircut like many other barbers. No rush, great style, trust him with your head! Dep is a shop that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for quality.

Drippy did a phenomenal job. From the barbershop vibe, to the community feeling, and all the way to the fresh fade, Drippy provided exemplary service and professionalism. I was in town for a quick trip and he fit me in to his busy schedule so I could look good for my upcoming vacation. Would 100% recommend Drippy to anyone looking to go from a 6 to a 10.

Saw the review and the photos and thought I'd give it a try. I never knew what style suited me so I sat on the chair and just said 'go with whatever style that you think would suit my face'. Yanko took his time and did an AMAZING job. It was a solid for me. I absolutely loved the outcome and I'm gonna keep this style for a while:)

Oh my days! Let me tell youuuuuuuuu. There are not enough words in the English dictionary that could accurately describe the crispness of my fade.

The service, level of detail and banter is unparalleled. One simply cannot walk in the shop and come out not feeling like the baddest bxtch in Ottawa.

It's pretty cool place and I had really good haircut. I wish if they had listen to one thing that I mentioned that I wanted bigger trim size at the sides and back.

Just wanted to say this establishment is what you need. They offer top of the line cuts as well as a shoe cleaning service. I got a cut a few days ago on god I’ve never had anything like it. Kelvin aka Drippy is a great barber all around. Always a vibe when you get a cut from him. His communication, attention to detail, recommendations of hairstyles that suit your face shape, etc.are great. Don't be shy to discuss with him how you want your cut; he's chill AF and it only gives him a better idea of how he can meet your needs. New shop on Bronson and team of barbers he's gathered so far are chill. Definitely recommend.
