Amazing experience with Derek and the team. The job was completed within 20 mins (tree cutting, stump grinding and cleaning). Definitely recommend for any tree needs of yours

I messaged these guys on the Sunday afternoon of the May 24 long weekend, not expecting to hear back for several days. They ended up answering in under an hour, and Derek came out to give an estimate the next day, despite it being a holiday.

Their pricing was beyond reasonable. There was no need to get a second quote. Derek was very helpful and knowledgeable, not only about the situation with our trees, but even about the other random things growing that we inherited with the house. He seems to know his stuff.

We had them come remove several dead trees and prune some others. They were exactly on time, and zero mess was left behind. Our quote included them pruning 1 or 2 trees, but they actually did them all, which was great. We paid exactly the estimate, no surprises.

The thing I appreciated most, though, was Derek's time and patience in answering my 100 questions. He told me exactly how to care for the trees going forward, how to do it, what not to do, where NOT to buy the stuff I needed. Frankly, he could have charged us and got a bunch of extra work for his company, but he didn't. That's honesty you may not get from everyone. He even called me back to answer a follow up question I had a couple of days later. This was not a big job for these guys, but they still treated it as such. We will never hesitate to recommend them, and though I hope our trees live long and prosper, we will definitely use them again if needed.

Had an emergency while we were doing some driveway work. The contractors that were digging up our drive encountered a tree stump that wasn’t grinded down enough. Called many companies to assist but Derricks Tree services came through. Called on a Friday morning and they had someone there early afternoon! Was very satisfied and will definitely recommend them and use them again!

If you're looking for start to finish professionalism at a fair price look no further. My expectations were exceeded with Derek's tree service! Had some extra work I thought of getting done last minute, in addition to the trees I had removed, and they did it same day! Derek also offered to chop up firewood for me before I even had a chance to ask. Really happy I found them and they will be my go to tree company now for sure.

I'm glad the issue is resolved now. Derek was a professional and showed up and reimbursed me for the portion of the job that wasn't done.

I have the quote in writing on the company's business card saying "Norway Maple trim - Leader removal X 2"
The quote your estimator gave me was based on "Leader removal X2" and we paid that amount in full. Now that you decided against removing them, you need to reimburse me for what you didn't do and quoted me for.

The estimator came and we told him about the 2 limbs of the tree we wanted cut. We agreed on the price. 2 weeks later the crew showed up on time but they only cut some branches and twigs not the 2 limbs we asked for. When we asked why they are leaving without cutting the limbs, they said that's not we were supposed to do, although we had clearly told the estimator about the rips and the reason we wanted the limbs cuts. Argument started. I said it is not about the money. You are not doing what we asked for. Then the arborist showed up and started giving his own version of reasons. The bottom line is they didn't do what we asked for. We paid our part of the deal but they didnt. At the end when they got the money, the owner came and talked about misunderstanding. He didn't even have the decency to reduce the price for their own mistake. Based on my experience, this company does not have the good customer service. What we paid for was not for what they provided! We are very dissatisfied.

I had a great experience recently with Derek and his team. I received a quick response to my initial inquiry, and the quote was very competitive (I had another quote for comparison). A large team arrived right at the promised time, and worked efficiently to complete the work. Everyone I interacted with was professional, friendly and courteous. The bonus for me was that Derek also supplied and planted two trees to replace the one removed. Everything looks great! I am happy to recommend Derek and his team!

Derek is the go-to guy in our neighbourhood and I constantly saw him around, and that itself speaks for something. The price he quoted is fair and the service is top-notch. His crew was super efficient and made sure everything is cleaned up before they left.

Wind storm got the best of one of our dead tree and felt on my neighbor's house. Since I dealt with Derek several times over the last 10 years, I call him right away - and this was on Saturday afternoon. Within 10 minutes (no joke, no exaggeration) he was at my house assessing the situation and call one of his guy to at least come to clean up the situation right away so that everyone would be safe. Normal contractor don't do that. Derek is above & beyond an amazing guy, efficient, honest and no BS. Don't even bother to shop around - leave it to Derek and his crew. If I could give him 6 + stars, I would. I referred Derek to my neighbor several time and won't hesitate to do it again. Thanks Derek.

Derek has a big team and they removed a over 30-feet tree for me last week. I was worried about potential damage to my nearby garden before they came. To my surprise, the team removed the large tree within 1 and 1/2 hours with no damage to my garden which is 6 feet from the bottom of the tree.they removed the tree stump to my satisfaction.area was super clean; no debris at all. The office staff is very friendly and all was a great experience! Absolutely 5 star service!

Team was pleasant and polite, and prices are reasonable, but this Derek character! Had a few friends service him for tree and bush removal, and Derek was unfortunately very rude and pretty liberal with expletives -to their faces. Yikes. I'm sure he knows that this service to most customers are a one-time deal.why be polite to people you won't see again, amirite?

Derek and his crew did a great job removing a very dead, very large tree from our property. They were exactly on time on the day we booked for (something we've struggled with with other service providers) and they did a great job. I was impressed by how big the crew was that Derek brought - with so many people, they were highly efficient. The rate was the most competitive we were quoted as well. Diana, who helped book everything, was also a pleasure. Her response time was very quick and she was friendly to talk to. Would definitely recommend.

Quick and straight forward estimate for removing the tree. His team completed the job in about an hour which included removal and clean-up after cutting the 50 foot tall spruce tree.

Writing this review a few months after Derek and his team came by to cut a few trees down for us. They cut down the trees is record time and cleaned everything up so well you would have barely known they were there. Highly recommend and very decent prices.

Derek's Tree Service helped us remove a fallen limb from our old cherry tree. The team arrived on time and were quick to execute the task. It was a pleasure dealing with the receptionist on the phone and lead arborist.

Last week I had my front yard tree stump grinding done by Derek tree services. The person who visited was Mike and he showed up on time and did a great job. They made the whole process very easy, one call and picture of tree stump for estimate a fair price.

On the job, nice grinding, cleaning the wood chips after. Since I am planning to get my drive way extended Mike asked me to give a call, if any root disturbs while extending the driveway and he said he will fix that for free. Over all i am satisfied with the work. I will recommend their service to all my friends

We have a neighbour from another planet that wanted our large beautiful tree cut down because our leaves get on her grass. We obviously compromised to have our tree cut back to stay off her property line. Long stories short she also wanted a tree removed from her yard and was willing to pay for their services. The boys from Derek’s tree service did a phenomenal job and it all happened so quick! My neighbour however cannot be pleased with anything and tried bullying their team over nothing.
