No one picks the phone, returns voice mails or replies to emails. The referral takes long time to book an appointment. They are impossible to be reached out. Don’t waste your time for this clinic. Change your referral to somewhere else.

Love it here! Dr. Hanna is very modern and up to date with medical information. His appointments are quick (which I like), he listens to my concerns and has helped me so much with a skin issue which has made me feel confident again. I don’t have much luck with doctors in the GTA but Dr. Hanna is amazing. The clinic itself is very clean and spa like. Would highly recommend this place!

It was so absurd to know that doctors are not comfortable working with opposite gender bodies. Can you imagine, a doctor whose complete education is about human bodies has issues looking at a human body. Way to go sonya abdula and dermatology on bloor for keeping doctors like that. And I can’t believe the long wait times for 1st appointment despite having a referral even though its with another doctor.
23 September 2023 12:32
Was 20 minutes late so was told they wouldn't see me and would have to be rebooked, even though I called ahead and told them I was running 15 minutes late and they said no problem. Earliest they could rebook me was 6 weeks later.

My wife and I have being going to Dr. Curtis for many years. We both find her to be incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and professional. We’ve seen our share of doctors over the years for a variety of issues. Dr. Curtis is the best!

Dr Abdulla is not interested in solving your problems. Waiting time for my appointment was 20 min but appointmant itself was barely 10 min. Don't waiste your time here.
27 July 2023 23:31
I've had really positive experiences with both Dr. Waller and Dr. Hanna. Both took time to explain things in detail and were respectful of my desired results. Neither tried to up-sell me nor did they leave me feeling insecure about my appearance. This is a solid practice.
25 May 2023 4:32
Waited over an hour for my appointment which is extremely contradictory to their 75 dollar late/cancellation policy. When speaking to the receptionist was RUDELY interrupted by a woman telling me I could reschedule, when I asked her why she was interrupting my conversation she said because she was the doctor in a very rude and smug voice with her sour face. Have never waited that long for any doctor appointment in my life. Absolutely ridiculous and Dr. Sonya Abdullah is an ignorant, rude, unprofessional doctor who I wouldn’t want within 10feet of my face. Needless to say I left without being seen. Would only recommend if you want to be treated disrespectfully and have your time wasted.
Learn to run a business, this is obviously an ongoing issue at this office, do you read your reviews? I should get a 75 dollar late fee plus hst for you wasting my time and having to leave work early. Your time is not more valuable than your patients. You should call and reschedule if you know you are that far behind. Obviously overbooking patients and unable to maintain your schedule. Do better.

Dr. Sam Hanna should have their licence revoked. He removed a cyst on the shoulder and did a horrible job and scarred my shoulder for life.

I’ve had a very similar experience as Robert Wright’s review. I knew I had a form of skin cancer based on reading about the topic. I was assured by DrWaller that the lesion was non-cancerous. Never did a biopsy and treated it with nitrogen.
Because I am skeptical and trust my own judgment I had a second opinion by a dermatologist in the US who immediately did a biopsy. Turns out it IS cancerous! Basal Cell carcinoma.
Also the nitro treatment that was done here only burned a part of the lesion not the whole thing.

My good friend referred me to this clinic and I have been a patient particularly of Dr. Hanna for more than 13 years. He is a very knowledgeable and informative professional doctor. He is also compassionate and truly takes the extra mile to take care of me as his patient. He is my go-to for all medical and skin issues I have had to date. I have also had the pleasure to work with their techinician Amy. She is amazing and knowledgeable as well. The staff at this clinic are exceptional and very kind!

I went for consult for assessment of nevi. Dr Pollack was on time, efficient and clearly provided options on removal and what to expect post-removal. I chose to postpone removal on the date of visit as there is healing time involved (i.e, potential redness post) and I had a social event soon after the appointment.

Terrible staff and terrible doctor. Never answer the phone. Waited for 3 months for having a 5 minutes appointment. Prescription was ineligible because the printer doesn't have ink. Completely disappointed.
05 May 2022 23:44
I went here for a cosmetic procedure, at the referral from my family doctor. Dr. Curtis was fantastic! She clearly explained the process and gave me a clear picture of what to expect. I was very satisfied and highly recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Hanna has done some really great work for me. I used to have a real skin issue with cracking and scaling skin on my hands. I tried everything from steroid creams, hand cream, Nutrition, ect. The problem persisted for years. Dr. Hanna got me on a pill that ended up completely reversing my condition and I haven't had a flare up for 4 years.

Also great for skin tag removal on my weight loss. This is my go to place for dermatology.

I saw Dr Pollack for a routine checkup and found him to be professional, courteous compassionate and easy to communicate with I was taken exactly at the time that my appointment was scheduled for and his office was run very efficiently I highly recommend him
21 March 2021 20:53
Worst and most unprofessional clinic Ive ever been in. The staff are rude and laugh about patients behind their backs often, the patients private matters are discussed openly, and the admin staff just text on their phones all day. As far as cosmetics go.well if you want to look "done". I mean just look at what their staff looks like.
14 March 2021 7:38
Love this clinic. It's been my family's go-to for years. No one knows skin better, these guys know their stuff inside and out and actually helped me get the results I've been trying to get for years with other skin specialists. My wife just had a consult and loves them too, def recommend! Yes they may had a high wait time during covid but they're a popular clinic. Just email them! They email back and have availability.

I would really not recommend this clinic. Short story: the doctor I was assigned, Doctor Waller, is very rush and it feels like she really doesn’t want to deal with you and does not take your concerns seriously + I would say she is not completely competent in dermatological issues. After two appointments, she decided I was looking good (when I was evidently not looking nor feeling good with my skin, and told me I did not need to come back). PLEASE STAY AWAY.
Long story: I have been dealing with chronic atopic dermatitis (eczema), and I have seen so many dermatologists, that, trust me, I know when I am not receiving the right care and treatment. My first appointment with Doctor Waller lasted no more than 10 minutes. She asked for my previous history, and then just liquidated me with a new ointment prescription. Very not welcoming, you could see in her attitude she just wanted to get you done. And, in fact, she asked me if I had any questions, and while I was answering, I was noticing she was already ready to run out of the room! I told myself, maybe she is not warm, but maybe she is careful. But mind you, no! In fact, she prescribed me this ointment that, according to her, made happy most of people with eczema. I try it, two days later, I notice I scratch everywhere, I look on the instructions, and I notice that in fact the ointment is known to have caused some serious itching to some patients: shouldn’t have I been advised by the doctor in first place?
Next appointment, I tell her (kindly) that the prescribed ointment did not work and I had switched back to the ointment I had always used. She makes no comment. She looks on my skin and comments that: “everything looks good, just a bit dry! ” It was not a BIT dry, I was itching quite a lot, and my skin was red…So she tells me that I just need to keep the skin hydrated and prescribes me a new ointment for that. Finally, she looks at my acne-like spots, and tells me it’s folliculitis and prescribes me anti-acne. I believe that this may have been an error, because in fact other doctors always diagnosed it as Malassezia Folliculitis, a fungus that thrives on eczemas and that you don’t treat with anti-acne. Again, she asked me if I had any questions, but it was soo rush I felt uncomfortable. She runs away while greeting me. The same day I called the clinic telling them I felt uncomfortable and I could not ask the doctor an important question. They tell me she would call back, and guess what, no calls received!

FINALLY someone knew what in the world to do about my cystic acne. Struggled for years and this team of derms knows what to do, understands weighing options and solving for actual results. Thank you!
10 February 2021 5:48
I've had a great experience with Dr. Brittany Waller over the past 6 months. She is communicative and easy going. I had a random hormonal acne breakout for months. She didn't try to prescribe me a ton of medicine and sought to understand my routine and work with it without making masisve changes. I liked that she listens to my concerns and was aware of keeping a healthy balance especially as a woman. I find that she's very to the point and efficient with our appointments.

I've seen consistently great results with her with no backlash to my health. Her office is also quick and responsive. I've never had an issue and highly recommend her.

This was my second visit to this clinic. Due to COVID-19 the appointments can be setup by leaving a voicemail. The staff is very responsive and friendly. They usually give a call back within 1-2 days. I was pleased to see they were following all safety protocols. I forgot my mask in my car and the staff were happy to provide me a fresh one.

Commute was great and there was hardly any traffic. Parking is big concern and there is no street parking available. You can park in the Hudson Bay parking. Day parking is $17 flat rate and around $5 every 30 min. Its just a 2min walk from the parking lot.

Since I reached just few minutes before my appointment i didn’t have to wait. Seems like every appointment is being done in a different room which is properly sanitized after a visit which is great. The washrooms are very clean in case you need to use.

I was referred to Dr Waller from my family physician and she is really nice and caring. She was able to do quick diagnosis and provide treatment options with advantages and disadvantages. In my last visit i wasn’t sure if i wanted to pursue the treatment but this time i went ahead and did it. It went smoothly. They also have state of the art equipments.
She also had provided consultation free of charge for another issue i was having.

The checkout process was very smooth. This is undoubtedly one of the best dermatology clinics in Toronto and the GTA. I just wish they had more branches and they are able to accommodate patients on Saturdays. Keep up the good work!

Abhorrent behaviour from so called nurse Lori Damore. She has to be one of the worst people I have encountered exhibiting disrespectful, uncaring, lazy and catty demeanour towards patients. I am writing on behalf of many others to express our discontent with this type of individual providing care to loyal patients in need of qualified attention. This clinic is not doing it’s due diligence with its hiring practices because they let a bad one slip through and Lori Damore is allowed to mistreat innocent people that are referred to her. What a horrible example of the many qualified practitioners out there. She mocks co-workers in front of patients and blames patients without taking any accountability. If more patients were honest about her, she’d never get hired anywhere. Will never recommend her, she shouldn’t have privilege to exercise any type of professional care.
06 November 2020 15:08
Waste of my time. I have a lot of health issues especially related to my skin and I have a lot of good relationships with doctors. I can tell when a professional doctor is genuine and helpful. My experience was not good, I didn't feel listened to at all. The doctor that saw me at this clinic did not care about my overall health and was more concerned about leaving and making a quick buck. The solution to my concerns? Was to recommend me to another dermatologist and have them deal with my problem. Oh and the visit is limited to ONE problem/concern at a time, any other concerns I'd need to book a seperate appointment. My visit lasted no more than 5 minutes.

My GP sent a referral and I left a voicemail with Derm on Bloor to follow up on it (per their instructions) and I never heard back; it's been 2 weeks. I read a few other reviews and it sounds like the clinic's administration is poor and totally inept. I ended up calling another dermatologist that I've seen in the past, who is scaling down her practice, and I heard back within 3 hours. I can't speak to the care and professionalism of the dermatologists at Derm on Bloor, but whoever is running day-to-day operations is doing a bad job! I wouldn't recommend this clinic.
07 September 2020 9:25
Rudest receptionist at check in. Wait times during the pandemic that run nearly 40 minutes behind. I miss Dr Sheldon and it’s not the same place. I’ll consider finding somewhere new to go moving forward that feels more relaxed and friendly - especially in times like these.
29 August 2020 22:59
Dr. Pollock lost part of my medical report from his old office. Strange since it was concerning a lesion on forehead. Staff at this office are very bad. More so compared to any other place I've been to in Toronto. They are not trained well and they speak to you in a very condesending tone. Just very rude and disrespectful. Also it took 6 or 7 months to access my medical record.

I met with Dr Abdulla and could not have had a better experience. My referral from my GP was processed quickly and the front desk staff walked me through how to use the virtual platform Dermatology on Bloor is using. It was easy to use and took nothing away from a normal specialist consultation.

Dr Abdulla was generous with her time, addressed all of my questions and gave me terrific suggestions. I was impressed with her integrity and high level knowledge of both my medical issue and aesthetic skincare. Dr Abdulla sent in a prescription right away and I’m very much looking forward to continuing to consult with her. I can not recommend Dr Abdulla and Dermatology on Bloor highly enough.

Dr Sam Hanna is an amazing, professional doctor with so much knowledge and experience. He takes the time to thoroughly explain every little detail and answer all your questions & concerns and make you feel very comfortable no matter how busy he is, every patient is a VIP.thank you Dr Hanna

I suffer from severe atopic dermatitis. Before I met Dr Hanna and the team at Dermatology On Bloor, getting through life was quite difficult, as I didn’t know when my eczema would strike next.

Fast forward two years, I am 90% more clear. I don’t think this would be possible without Dr. Hanna and the team at Dermatology On Bloor!

You guys are awesome!

My husband and I visited Dr. Hanna in Feb 2020 for a consultation and had an excellent experience. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and professional. He addressed all of our concerns and we found his recommendations to be very helpful. In addition, there was no wait time to be seen, which is rare for specialist. We would highly recommend Dr. Hanna to our friends and family for any dermatological concerns.
02 April 2020 14:08
Dermatology on Bloor has provided me with outstanding customer service. Not only did the doctor I saw (who was polite, friendly, and most of all effective), everyone I talked to at the clinic was basically the same. I'd highly recommend them. My only wish is they were closer to where I live (in a suburb north of Toronto) but that didn't stop me from going to them.
23 March 2020 8:48
Cannot begin to describe this place. Most unprofessional, staff I have ever laid eyes on. Lack of customer service and respect for patients. The doctors are a bunch of money hungry scum just interested in cosmetic services. No interest for people real concerns. The ladys working there have no idea what they are doing and no idea how to talk to people. The manager seems to be totally clueless as well. I guess it's because her husband owns the place so she thinks she has knowledge in the business. Please do not waste your time coming here. Better dermatology clinics out there who actually care about people
29 February 2020 23:57
Dr Hana is a decent doctor, if you are lucky enough to get an appointment for normal derm issues. He and his team seem to favor cosmetic procedures over normal derm problems. I need to find a serious dermatologist. In a time of rash crisis I emailed to make an appointment and was told to get another "referral" in two separate emails, even though I have seen him a dozen times over 6 years and just recently within the last month for a mole check. He has seen me for so many various things.and the original referral was for a rash
25 February 2020 19:54
I had an appointment, on January 13,2020. It was the most ridiculous experience with a doctor.
The lack of attention and interest in the patient was clear by the fact that the doctor did not even look me in the face.
The lack of interest in my health was so great that I decided to do something I never did: leave an evaluation on the 'internet'.
Reading the reviews of other patients, I see that this is not a clinic that values patients or wants to keep them.

PLEASE do not use this clinic!
01 February 2020 21:20
Dr. Waller is amazing - however the clinic itself is disorganized. They cancelled my appointment suddenly and said they would follow up within a few days and I had to call myself just now. Also, the last time I was there they sent me to a room that hadn't been cleaned up since the last patient.
06 November 2019 4:52
Dr. Abdulla is kind, intelligent, patient, caring, and thorough! She genuinely cares about the well being of her patients, does excellent work, and is a lovely person!
20 October 2019 22:14
Although the location can easily be reached (near TTC subway station), the booking system and the waiting times (even with appointments) were a bit messy. I came in for a medical consultation and thankfully, Dr. Sonya Abdulla was able to provide me very up-to-date effective prescriptions to treat my eczema and provided me a good selection of eczema-friendly products. She is very knowledgeable as a doctor, but the clinic operations have a lot of room for improvement.
01 October 2019 8:47
Dr. Abdullah is outstanding and a sweetheart. She has been so helpful and attentive to all my skin issues. My aging skin is acne & eczema-prone, extremely sensitive to any products, and needs a lot of care for its multitude of problems. I've gone through Clear & Brilliant series of treatment as well as other Laser treatment and Amy Richard has always been amazing and so gentle with every procedure. She has been always approachable and responsive to my concerns. As well, she follows up very closely with me. I totally trust both Dr. Abdullah and Amy with my skin. I've been going to the clinic for almost a year now, all the staff members I've encountered are always friendly. I'm happier to be looked after at Dermatology on Bloor than other clinics I have previously attended.
07 September 2019 3:56
After quickly reading other reviews, I am not surprised I am just the one among many others to give this place a one star review. Not talking about the doctors, I was extremely frustrated with the booking process. My appointment was rescheduled and I was only notified less than one hour before the appointment. So frustrating especially I took half a day off for the appointment. The booking staff insisted I cancelled it myself and I was notified earlier, which was not the fact. No wonder many reviewers mentioned "rude" "disrespect" in the review! (They have 25 1 star reviews out of 66 if this tells you anything! Close to HALF!) There is no patient/customer-centric attitude and thinking in this place at all, which is very unfortunate.
01 April 2019 5:25
This clinic has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They did not inform patients that they must see the doctor once per year or patients will need a new referral. Even when the doctor specifically tells a patient there’s no need to make an appointment unless the situation is urgent. Apparently their referral expiration policies contradict their doctors recommendations.

The staff told me “I wish we had the ability to report patients”. The staff said they don’t inform patients of the referral expiration policy so it’s the patients responsibility to make an appointment once per year just so the referral doesn’t expire.

I’m very disappointed in the lack of understanding, support, and customer service from medical practitioners and the staff here.
29 March 2019 3:27
Worst Clinic ever!
Emma the receptionist has the worst customer service ever.
She is horrible and unprofessional. I never write reviews but I am so boiled up.never going back. Stupid Clinic. I had called to see if I could get a sample for Biacna. I left a voice message clearly explaining why I was calling as well as my contact. She never returned my call because she didn't get my name.well you got my number so call it!
Took 3 days for someone to get to me saying that dermatology Clinics don't carry samples.since when? How can people be so uneducated?
Seems to me that I was being stereotyped because I asked for samples.if you don't have samples say it! Its simple as that! It's not about the samples it's about the lack of communication and customer service. -
19 December 2018 21:22
Dr. Abdulla gave me some wonderful suggestions for my skin and suggested the Phloretin CF by Skinceuticals and the SkinMedica 0.5% Retinol. My skin has never looked better! I will forever use these products and I am grateful to Dr. Abdulla for giving me many great tips and advice. Amy was also super helpful when I was trying out the products at first, spending lot's of time with me to ensure I was happy with the products and giving me different samples to take home and try. I really appreciated her thoughtful follow-ups and the time she took to talk to me over the phone and via email to discuss my skin and how the products were working. I highly recommend Dermatology on Bloor!
