I have been to other dermatology clinics, but DermEdge rates at the top. From the front desk to both doctors that we have interacted with, we received the best service. Dr. Lomaga is attentive, professional, thorough and listens to any concerns. My husband needed the services of Dr, Hontscharuk (surgeon) and we cannot praise her enough for the surgery on his facial areas due to sun damage. Booking is easy and quick. Great follow up appointments and calls. Highly recommend this clinic.

Absolute trash tells me u will have to wait a year to even have an appointment what a waste of time

Dr lomaga try to listen more to your patients, discuss with them about your treatment plan and the medicine you’re planning to prescribe before starting to write the prescription, some of us might like to be included in the decisions your making and give your patients more time at least more than 5 minutes!

Dr. Hu's assistant does not know how to deal with senior patients. Took 92 year old mom, waited 45 minutes (receptionist is very nice), 10 minutes in room, assistant comes in and informs us the procedure will be 30 min. Mom says she will need to use washroom. This is when we find out there are NO washrooms working in the building. I have to take her to the gas stations across the street! While discussing with my mom what she wants to do, this "professional" walks out of room and YES, I HEARD YOU, says "I'm not dealing with this". Sorry, my mom's age "triggered" you.

I've had a few issues with this place in terms of booking but this issue I am currently having is the staff telling me I am unable to return a product. Dermedge held their first event April 24th they evaluate your skin and recommend products. After the event you are able to purchase the recommended products but they also give you a little facial with the products before you buy. I was hesitant as the products were tingling and irritating my skin. But I bought the two of the products they recommended. Mind you on their receipt it does not indicate that these products cannot be returned. Less than 24hrs later and over 30mins on hold. The staff tells me the only way I can return the products is if I meet with the doctor and determine that there was a skin irritation or allergic reaction. I have darker skin and irritations don't always appear. I explain this to the staff and she said well it's the only way to return the product. Although the product I purchased is sealed and hasn't even been taken out of their complimentary bag the other is on back order and I have not received it. The staff informs me that there could be a cross contamination? I'm not sure how. But okay this is what's advise and why the product cannot be returned. The staff offers to have me speak with the manager Rachel and proceeds to put me on another hold. Only to come back and advise the manager is busy at this time and she is not sure when she would be able to speak with me. Excellent customer service! UPDATE: spoke to skinceuticals directly and Danielle advised they absolutely 100% take back any sealed, unused products and they have 100% guaranteed on products used and disliked. Third party dealers honor the same noted on the website. Spoke to Rachel the manager at dermegde and she said it should not be a problem to return! So the staff just seems to have a personal issue with me. Will not go back and do not recommend

My overall experience was very positive. I had a little longer wait than expected but when I got in, I let the doctor know that I had another appointment immediately afterwards. Dr. Mak did his best to move things along as quickly as possible. He has a very professional and friendly demeanor.one that made me feel comfortable immediately. He explained what I should expect at each step along the way. I received my results on the day and time that was promised.
The facilities are clean and bright. Parking is available but was a bit of a challenge finding a space as there are other busy stores and businesses in the building.
Reception could have been more friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Lomaga has very poor communication skill. He was silently giving me a needle followed by a stitch as he was doing it with my back to him without letting me know what he was doing! He didn't even bother to tell me to come back to remove it! He doesn't go one bit above or beyond the basics that any nurse could tell you and doesn't seem knowledgeable enough to suggest anything useful. He seemed quite arrogant without any empathy for what I was experiencing vs what he thought I should be feeling which is 'gratitude to be alive and not dying from cancer'! That's all that seems to matter to him! If you don't have cancer then you don't need to worry about the gigantic and unsightly skin condition that's taking over your whole body.

Have been going to DermEdge since 2017 and Dr. Lomaga has always provided exceptional patient care. This clinic does an excellent job at diagnosing and treating skin issues, and Dr. Lomaga has always shown compassion and the utmost professionalism.

Just was referred and got an automated call for an appointment a year from now. Get your GP to refer you to another clinic. I am.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Mark Lomaga to anyone. I took my siblings to him and felt he was extremely rude and condescending to us. He doesn't listen to his patients or treat them with respect or address their concerns and was in a rush to leave from the moment my brother and sister started talking to him. I made the mistake of taking both of my siblings to him as I thought the first bad instance might be a one off as he's in a bad mood but I was wrong, he was condescending both times and had this awful godly complex where he treats him patients like they are dumb for asking questions. I came home and checked reviews and felt bad that I had not done this before. Please avoid this business man at all cost. Credit valley hospital has a few good derms that take their time and give you better advice that is not financially motivated as they do not charge for those treatments. DermEdge is a business at the end of the day and they will give you "advice" accordingly.

My first appointment was canceled because the doctor was on holiday. I arrived for my second appoinment today and it was canceled when I arrived. They are liars claiming they have been trying to contact me for three day and have left me many phone messages, my phone is always and I never miss a call and had zero messages from them. It cost me over $100 in lost wages to go to this appointment that was canceled.

Why do use an automated message for first time patients? When I recieved the call I was driving and could not write any information down. Now you want $75 for a missed appointment? I didn't speak to anyone! Profit before care should be your motto. And as seen in other comments, replying with your passive aggresive message "Wishing you good health with your new provider" says a lot about this practice

In response - do you call from the number you provided in your response? No! And what do you expect someone to do when they didn't hear "DermEdge"? No idea who is calling!

We had an appointment with the dermatologist for my 4 year old son on an afternoon (after 8-9 months of wait). We got a call from the receptionist in the morning of, saying that because my son was young, the doctor thought it best to have my son seen by a pediatric dermatologist instead. Instead of checking his age and thinking about this when they first booked the appointment (last year), they called me on the day of the appointment to basically cancel it! I'm extremely disappointed because this means we have to wait all over again for another dermatologist to see my son!

Have been going here for the past few months for laser hair removal and honestly the process has been amazing! Olga is awesome and my results have been like night and day with the hair on my face. I kind of thought getting it fixed was hopeless but I've been proved wrong and after three visits I'm already feeling much more confident! Thank you! I wish I had done this sooner!

Was nervous due to the reviews, but was surprised. Had a very good experience. Went on time and did not have to wait long. Was in the office waiting for the doctor in minutes. Dr Lomaga sat me down and gave me my diagnosis. He provided the cause and treatment for it and answered all my questions.

DermEdge is Excellent!
Don't believe any of these negative reviews. I've been going there for a couple of years, had minor surgery to remove a mole and continue to get checked out every 6 months. Dr. Lomaga is always professional, knowledgeable and has great bedside manner, while the rest of the staff are excellent. So check it out for yourself. I did. And I'm amazed.

They did not talk around him (he's all there) but were also reassruing and avoided freaking him out over what was in the end not actually a major health threatening issue.

I’ve been going to this clinic for years and I’ve never been disappointed with the service or conditions. Dr Lomaga and the nurses and staff have always been friendly and professional. When I needed to be seen again a few years later I asked for a referral here as a return patient. No issues at all.

Went to this clinic, terrible experience but that’s not what this review is about. It’s quite surprising that dermedge is responding to the 1-2 star reviews and trying to discredit the reviewers by stating that they were never a patient at the clinic to begin with. Have you considered that the name people use on public accounts could be different from their legal name that would be in your records? (also don’t try to search your records for this username, it’s obviously not my legal name before you respond saying that I’ve never been to your clinic. I most certainly have and I’m not confusing it for another clinic). Several people seem to have had a negative experience based on the reviews, accept it and make changes going forward rather than trying to imply that people are leaving false reviews. Also worth noting that in some of your responses to reviewers, you’re on the verge of violating PHIPA by disclosing the treatment plans of your patients publicly and what kind of diagnostic tests they had done. Even if patients have an unsatisfactory experience at the clinic and chose to write a review about it, all patients have to right to their health information being kept private, it’s the law.

Seriously, don’t bother. Worst experience I’ve had at any clinic in my life. I regret not reading these reviews prior and asking my GP to change my referral to another dermatologist. Lomaga did nothing to address my concern nor give instructions on proper scar care. Naturally, I followed the instructions of the medical professional but looking back I would’ve fared better searching a Reddit forum. Also, they did not contact me with an appointment date and when my appointment was missed they said it was the responsibility of my GP’s office.

If you have skin melanoma— this clinic is not for you. My husband and I contacted them and were pleading for an earlier day for him to see a dermatologist but got a date two (2) months down the road. My husband was at that clinic over two years and needed a new referral. My pleas, his pleas to move the appointment to an earlier date met with indifference and misinformation. First, they said that the family doctor didn’t specify why it was URGENT. Then, when the doctor re-faxed her urgent request with specifics of melanoma, they said that they already fit my husband in two months down the road. That two months was the earliest they had. I wonder if I call with Botox injection, if they’d fit me in next week. Two stars only because my husband was there over two years ago and it was okay. I was there two years ago and it was horrible. We both will never come back to this clinic. I know that our pleas were considered by the management as we were told so. In that case, it’s the higher up that create the atmosphere that I read about in other reviews. It’s not just one bad employee.

I saw Dr. Nisha Mistry for a consultation for my facial acne recently, and she was amazing! I previously saw another dermatologist in the city 2 years ago and had an awful experience, so I was quite skeptical when coming to DermEdge for a second opinion, but Dr. Mistry was such a great clinician. I do acknowledge the fact that I was her first client of the day, and so she may have been less rushed (as a physiotherapist myself, I understand the stress of trying to stay on schedule), but she was so patient and kind and understanding. She did a proper assessment, took a good look at my skin, and asked about all the necessary background information that I hoped she would. She was so helpful in answering all of my questions and provided me with all of the education I needed regarding different medications, as well as gave me some handouts to take home. She was efficient and thorough, and although my appointment did not take too long, I was very satisfied with the time she did spend with me and the education she gave me. I plan to continue my skincare journey with Dr. Mistry and instead of feeling confused and nervous and skeptical (as I did with my last dermatologist), I feel hopeful and excited! I highly recommend Dr. Mistry at DermEdge!:)

I am so please with this office. Both receptionist are very friendly and efficient at their jobs, Dr Lomaga was very informative and went above and beyond to treat my daughter, and the nurse Joanna made us both feel comfortable and at ease. I would highly recommend this office based on our great 3 experiences.

They are very busy here, and are doing the best they can from what I saw. I was pleased with my appointment and wait time.

Terrible experience DON’T recommend:
My daughter had an appointment today to meet with the dermatologist. She has acne (mild) it was worse a few months ago but she has been working on her diet, exercise and skin care routine. She was so looking forward to seeing the dermatologist today get advice on skincare and get educated on her skin and how to further prevent breakouts. She was in and out in 2 minutes with a piece of paper for blood work and a recommendation for accutane. She was told “you have bad acne”. She was never asked anything about her skincare routine, no recommendations on how to take care of her skin. The dermatologist didn’t want to talk about her skin-type or see pictures of how it looked before. How devastating and disappointing. People with acne feel insecure and are looking for guidance, care and compassion. This place doesn’t care about you they just care about the health card and you are IN and OUT. Disgusting

Wait times are crazy even with an appointment that only lasts 5-10 mins I’ve had to wait almost an hour every visit. Patients that had appointments after me were seen first too. Very unprofessional

Don't wast your time if you're a person of color. So called cutting "edge" dermatology. I felt so helpless after my appointment.

Please make sure you read the reviews before coming here. My husband was referred here by his family doctor, and it was a horrible experience for him. For starters, the consultation lasted less than 5 minutes, they hurried him out without getting a full history. Prescribed a bunch of items and told him to come back. He started using the prescribed medication and got hives, a really bad allergic reaction, which he was not informed of as a possibility for taking the medication. When he called them back to ask what can he do, they just told him to come back in, no over the phone consultation about what he can do to ease his discomfort at all! They did not even seem worried, they did not even suggest any over the counter medication he can take. Seems like they only care to see patients, but not actually provide them with a long term solution for their problems. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the reviews before attending your first appointment!

I have been to this clinic twice now with Dr. Ghiazi and although the wait times can sometimes be a little long.she is worth the wait. Not only is she skilled at what she does but I love her personality. The receptionists are all friendly as well. I would definitely recommend

Was referred here by my family doctor for two medical concerns. Got an appointment in two months, but the automated appointment booking/telephone system is brutal and had to listen to the message over and over to understand what was being said - amazed that I got the time and date of my appointment out of it. Waiting room was very busy and loud with receptionists battling to talk over each-other. Had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time to be seen for 5 minutes. Doctor was not pleasant and pretty dismissive of my concerns, not to mention that only one of my medical concerns was discussed and not the other. I got the feeling that they were not interested in suggesting OHIP covered treatments and only pushed cosmetic procedures and products that cost a pretty penny. Left extremely upset under the impression that my medical issue will never go away/get better unless I have cosmetic surgery, which I don't believe is true. Will never return and going to advise my family doctor to stop referring patients here.

Reading reviews prior to my visit today, I was expecting to be disappointed.
I waited about 25 minutes after my appointment time to see dr. Ghiasi, not bad at all! I've waited 3 hours at my previous dermatologist in the young/st. Clair area of Toronto for a prescription refill. 25 minutes is nothing to complain about.
Receptionists are supper friendly.
Dr. Ghiasi was so Informed about my chronic condition I have lived 6+ years, undiagnosed by my family doctor.
Today, she took the time to answer my questions and put me on a path to having a better, pain free life. She gave me hope, and I lost that years ago. She apologized for the wait and seemed genuine and caring.
Thank you Dr.ghiasi, keep doing amazing work for your patients!

I read the reviews prior to coming and felt uneasy and was prepared to be disappointed. However my experience was the complete opposite. I will start with the staff at the front, they were polite, socially distanced and professional. I showed up early, they accommodated me and the doctor, Dr. Lamaga (I hope I spelt that right) was excellent. I also mentioned the reviews to the doctor to get a feel for his reaction prior to my procedure and he had a great response and it is very true. Happy people simply go on their merry way and don't leave a review. So if you are reading this and you go to DermaEdge and have a good experience, let people know like I did! If I need anything else, I hope I don't, but if I do, I will be back.

Was referred here by my family doctor to have some spots on my shoulder checked. I am a very fair skinned natural redhead so I try to pay attention to any changes in my skin. Seen by Dr. Ghasi (apologies if name misspelled). She was very pleasant to deal with. She started by apologizing for the long wait. This clinic is very busy. However I am grateful that they were able to see me within a couple of weeks of my doctor referral especially with the current situation with covid. She assured me that my condition was benign but to not hesitate to call for a follow-up appointment if it worsened. Explained the cause of it and Definitely put my mind at ease.

When you call there office there is 0 pickup when you leave a message no call back when u book no reply other then automated email the fact referels are being directed to this practice from gp's yet there not doing there job im pretty sure is a violation will definitely report it since now I have to get another referral and waste my time for different practice that actual does there job with further review from looking at some other reviews one has to wonder if this practice is running some sorta fraud i hope there not billing the government for referrals they ignored paitent intake on somthing doesn't seem right {update the reply below says call us during a week day thats misleading information because ive been calling them weekly for the past 2 months} check the reviews on bing also same story

My first visit today with Dr Mark.
Dr Mark was very detailed explaining took his time. I found him to be gentle and kind and understanding. I'm happy and feel totally pleased and comfortable with his care next appointment Oct 2nd.

In my books excellent care, totally give him 5 stars.

Marian is absolutely amazing. She is very knowledgeable and very understanding that each patient has different needs. She goes over and beyond to find and create a simple but very effective skin care regimen. I’ve been dealing with Eczema and dermatitis and throughout finding products that work and not work, Marian has been such a great resource as to how I can manage and control my flare ups.

The receptionist, Sandy was exceptional. She responded quickly, prioritzed concerns and, even though she was multi-tasking, Sandy did her best to ensure that my questions and concerns were addressed with exact information, timely responses and excellent professional telephone manners. During Covid, Sandy continued to provide administrative support to ensure continuation of care for Dr. Singh. Great team!

My doctor mistakenly referred me here again. I've been trying to get in touch with DermEdge to cancel the appointment but they aren't answering their phones, and I'm unable to leave a message. This company continues to disappoint.

I’ve had an amazing experience with my laser specialist, Marian. I really appreciate her passion and dedication to her craft. Overall positive experience!

Have been visiting this clinic for more than a year, and I admire their consistency of maintaining a good steady level of patient care. Dr. Lomaga and his staff members are very accommodating and caring in making sure that each visit serves in a helpful way.

2 out of 3 removed moles grew back and I was charged full price for biopsy during my first appointment, despite having insurance. When I called to schedule an appointment two years later to address the issue, a receptionist told me that I need to get another referral, which I think is a dismissive reaction to my complaint. Worst experience at a cosmetic clinic by far.

I attended an appointment for the 1st time, with my daughter. The office was busy, but what stood out was the office clerks/admin at the front area managing the patient flow. Both ladies were executing their jobs well, however Dianna, who was dealing with many patients moving along the waiting room and to the offices in the back stood out. As I was waiting for my daughter, I observed Dianna's polite and respectful manner as she managed all that was going around. As an individual in the healthcare industry for over 30 years, it was quite impressive to see how Dianna managed the front office, the flow in the back and her ability to manage the calls coming through on the phone. Her multi-tasking was flawless and her ability to stay calm and in control, managing waiting patients was impressive.
Equally, there was quite timely responses from the office for follow ups for appointments and trying to assist during the busy holidays. I am duly appreciative

Got an appointment after 1 month and they cancelled my appointment on the day. Really frustrating.

Very unhappy with the staff and service of this establishment. I went to see my family doctor about issues involving a serious skin concern. I then went in to make an appointment with the dermedge clinic and the receptionist confirmed my appointment and also scheduled a laser appointment so that I could come in and resolve everything at once. I then received a call from dermedge to verify my appointment for my laser treatment and then they quickly said "oh by the way you can't talk to the doctor about your other serious skin concern because he doesn't have time" when I asked the receptionist why this was considering the entire reason why I scheduled this appointment was to have the skin concerned resolved, they told me I could either have the laser treatment or have my entire appointment cancelled. I even pleaded with the receptionist because I did not want to wait another month to have to suffer with this skin issue because of a scheduling conflict. They did not budge.

I cannot explain how frustrating and rude the staff here is especially those scheduling the appointments. Why is it so difficult to schedule a larger appointment to resolve 2 issues at once? After reading some reviews, it is clear that this is an ongoing issue at this location. I think the only reason why they still have clients is because it is easy for the doctors next door to refer people to the clinic downstairs. Even if your doctor refers you to this clinic I highly recommend you find another location because the staff here is not worth it.

I My first appointment at DermEdge today, with Dr Nazli Ghiasi. I have some post-acne hyperpigmentation and she explained things clearly, as well as clarifying my questions about my current skin care regimen including the difference between some of the popular over the counter retinols and Rx strength scarring. I never felt rushed and I was impressed that she took the time to explain things thoroughly. Definitely recommend Dr Ghiasi’s expertise and DermEdge!

Theres a reason why MOST of the reviews for DermEdge are one star. This place is an absolute JOKE. I had made an appointment a full year prior for a follow up appointment in December for a specific issue. I also had another appointment scheduled for a separate issue for November. However that issue had cleared up on its own so I cancelled the appointment. I SPECIFICALLY stated in my cancellation email to cancel the appointment for November with the second issue. Well when the time came for my December appointment Dr. Lomaga says he no longer treats this issue at his office and had thought I had come to get treated for the other appointment I had cancelled MONTHS ago. I don't live near this derm office so I had to take an hour of my time to get there and more time in the waiting room just to be told sorry we can't help you here. Obviously the administrative and reception staff here are a joke since they can't even read a straightforward email. And it makes sense why there are numerous reviews stating the same thing. Also don't ever bother calling them because A) they will not pick up or B) they will put you on an endless hold. I also find it funny that the owner spends his time making excuses for his administrative staff on here. Well buddy If you spent your time actually training them or or investing in a better bookings system maybe you wouldn't have this issue in the first place. This place needs to sort out its kinks before it can be a called a dermatology office. All in all, if you want to avoid an unnecessary headache then stay away from this place.
