Been coming to Dermedica for almost a year now, and it’s such a welcoming clinic. I always get prompt reminders of appointments, and my technician Sherry is the absolute best. She is very understanding and patient. I have a terrible pain tolerance, but she will still wait until I am ready before using the laser again. She never misses a spot and in places I mention stubborn hair she goes over a few times to ensure I am happy with the results. I could not recommend her enough! Will be booking more sessions with her too

I’ve had a great experience at Dermedica so far. I’ve had 4 sessions of laser hair removal and everything has gone smoothly thanks to my tech Sherry! I had my laser treatment and had a wonderful experience with Sherry. From the first day- she made me feel welcome and comfortable.

But, the technician, Sherry was very professional and nice about the procedure. It was very clean every time I visited there too. DO NOT consider the 5 star reviews. They are all fake. If you notice the 1 star reviews response by the company is always along the lines of "your name does not exist in our groupon database"
YA RIGHT! On top of that, someone even commented saying they contact your place of work and threaten you when you use your real identity to leave reviews?

Their services are fake as heck and don't work. When I came in for laser hair removal, I had to beg my technician every time to use the cooling function as she *conveniently* forgot each time. If you get laser you know the cooling function is CRITICAL for the pain to be less.

FYI, after each session I never saw a decline in hair growth.

Their customer service is awful. The old bitter persian lady who wears glasses and has a blond bob hair cut at the front desk is awful and didn't let me use their washroom even though I am a paying customer.

This is the best laser hair removal spa in Toronto! I have been receiving services from Shelly for almost 2 years now. She is incredible and always make me feel so comfortable. The clinic is clean and the prices are great. I have referred all of my friends and family to Shelly and they have all agreed that she is the best! I have completed laser hair removal sessions with Sherry who is very friendly and professional. Significantly less hair growth as early as the 2nd session! The rooms are very clean and hygienic. My overall experience at Dermedica has been fantastic! I started my laser hair removal appointments back in April 2022 and I saw a major improvement (in terms of hair growth) by the end of my second session! At first, I was very nervous since it was my first time doing it but when I went to my first appointment, my beauty/laser technician - Sherry - was very kind, knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. From then on, I was very comfortable with all my sessions and I look forward to going to my appointments. I was able to get a promotion deal with Groupon and I couldn't be any happier! I am a dark skin black woman and there has been a drastic difference in my hair. Such an amazing experience! I am very new to laser hair removal and got referred to Dermedica by a friend and I am NOT disappointed. I was first greeted very kindly and had a consultation to discover the exact plan that was perfect for me. I have now done several sessions of fully body laser hair removal and I am so extremely happy with the results! My technician is very friendly and patient and made me feel absolutely comfortable the entire time! If you're worried about the pain, it depends on the level of intensity and thickness/coarseness of your hair but I also have a very high pain tolerance so it just feels a bit hot to me. In terms of pricing, you can't get any better than this place! They have AMAZING Groupon deals that can't beat any other place. BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE PURCHASING ANY SERVICE! I fully understand there is a pandemic going on right now and appointments need to be changed. That’s not the issue. The issue is they will have you purchase a large amount of sessions at once (6-8 sessions depending on what you are getting) I bought 2 different ones. Once you buy these sessions they will fit you in RIGHT AWAY. However, after that they will keep pushing your appointments back so they can fit new patients in. This is very wrong! Once they have your money they don’t care about you. They have pushed back myself and many friends multiple times using the pandemic as an excuse. But here’s the kicker. I had a friend request to buy a bundle of sessions and she got her appointment set before mine. And THEN I get another call pushing mine back again. This just shows they keep pushing people who have already paid for new clients. They need to stop doing this and actually care about their current clients as well as new ones. Using a pandemic as an excuse to cash in on new clients knowing current clients can’t get a refund is trash business practice. Get your act together and stop pushing current clients back so you can make more money. And PLEASE stop using the pandemic as an excuse. That’s disgusting and shows your true colours. I understand all business are hurting right now, it’s very sad to see. But not caring about clients who have been with you for a long time just to make more money is not the way to go about it.

**Again, I would like to mention, I fully support the team looking out for their health during this time. No one should be risking their health for cosmetic treatments that can be postponed. It’s all about what I stated above. It’s postponing current clients for new ones just to get the large amount of sessions paid upfront/pushing current clients appointments for new ones**

Firstly, I said 6 TO 8. And yes you can buy as many as you'd like. Groupon packages is not what I am only talking about. AKA filler, Vein Treatment, etc.

Please re-read what I wrote. I understand you are following the ministry guidelines. I commend you very much for how you have been dealing with this hard time. You should never have to feel that you are putting yourself at risk for a cosmetic treatment. This is using the pandemic as an excuse for bad business practice. At the end of the day you are still booking people in and pushing back current clients.

You stated "Each client is on a different treatment plan and hair cycle and are booked accordingly" - Simple question. How is pushing back current clients, postponing their already set treatment plan "booking accordingly". But a new client, well their treatment plan is much more different. They must come first. Until of course they have paid.

You know this is true. Pushing clients back who have already paid for new clients is not good business practice. Someone should not have to contact management and have all the employees talk about them behind their backs just to be treated fairly. You know this is also true. Anyone who sits in your waiting room for 5 minutes can hear all the "whispers" you say about clients who complain. Im not sorry for not wanting to be another one of your gossip stories.

Please flag this, as you said you did. But I will show all the proof that this is all true. And this IS your current business practice. I have 2 friends now that have received new appointments prior to mine. This is not just about my appointment. This is about ALL your current clients. You should reschedule all clients and stop taking new ones before scheduling current clients. Take the pandemic out of this scenario for a second. What you are doing is pushing people who have already paid for more money. Simple as that.

I have dark skin and dark hair. A difficult combination but Sogey has been absolutely wonderful meeting my laser hair removal needs. I have tried multiple clinics and this has been one of my best experiences!

Just started going there for laser hair removal. Already after one session I saw results (hair becoming thinner as it grows back) which is crazy! I have had Tasha both sessions and she's amazing. Makes me feel super comfortable and always makes sure to ask how i'm doing and if i'm in pain. The clinic is super clean and the laser hair removal machines are kept in great condition and don't even hurt as much as I was expecting. I can't wait.to continue my treatments there!

Been with them for two years now, always excellent and professional service! At the beginning I was pretty shy, especially about doing bikini.but eventually I felt comfortable with the idea. Definitely would recommend this location if you are thinking of doing laser for underarms or bikini! Treatment kind of hurts (of course it is, its laser.so thats normal) but the price is fair and most importantly, it works in just a few sessions:) No more crazy shaving time and burns. All the staff are very friendly ladies! 10/10 would recommend.

I have been here a few times for laser treatments and my experience has been great. The staff are very nice and accommodating, the rooms/equipment are very clean and the location is also very convenient. I am also happy with the results. I am glad I could find them in Toronto.

My aunt came here and had 7 sessions done previously, she discussed only wanting laser hair removal treatments and not IPL or LPL (Long Pulsed Light) as it did not work in the past for her. I found out they were using the wrong one against her requests after this entire time just so the job could be done faster. Her hair has come back as if she never had treatments done. Be aware of these places no matter how high end it may seem. They will keep these things from you thinking the truth will never get out.

They do not use a white pencil to divide areas and patches of hair was left. Technician advised that a completely clean shave should be done so that may be the reason why. Technician also advised on how to achieve the perfect clean shave. The machine was relatively pain free, they do not use a cooling gel like other places because the machine cools the area while it treats the area. I will update my review after my seven sessions are completed.

Tasha is honestly the best aesthetician ive ever had! She is so friendly and accommodating with regards to appointments. She is also very thorough with her work. I will continue going to Dermedica solely because of my experience with her! Highly recommend!

Dermedica is the BEST laser hair removal salon in Toronto. I have been to a few laser hair removal clinics in the city, and it resulted in A LOT of pain, and ingrown hairs. At Dermedica, the "pain" factor is significantly less, they actually have cooling air push through when doing the treatment, to take away the slight pain. I have been doing treatment for a year and the area treated is almost completely hair free and the hair I do have is as fine as baby hairs, and takes a long time to grow back. Also I noticed my skin to be softer in the areas treated as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic and have recommended to my friend and family.

Great spa for skincare and hair removal. Affordable rates and minimally painful machines that get the job done. The spa director and staff are accommodating and warm. It’s also one of a small handful of places that carry Canadian skincare brand Eltraderm, an absolute game changer for my skin.

I bought my laser appointment through Groupon and let me tell you, it was totally worth it. I ended up adding on 3 more packages at the Spa because you really can't beat the prices elsewhere. I had my initial consultation and it was very thorough. They explain the process and what laser is about and ask if you have any questions. After the initial consultation they schedule your appointment. I had Nadia for my appointment- I have never done laser before and she was very gentle and patient with me. She explained what it was going to feel like and constantly checked up on me. Within 20 minutes she had completed upper thigh, chin, brazilian+ Gluteal crease and armpit. I will definitely be recommending the Spa to other people. Can't wait to see the end results.
