Derry Medical Clinic

Waste to time going to this clinic. The DR doesn't know what he is doing and asks to go to family dr or ER. He is unsure about diagnosis of the health condition and would only advice to go to ER. I will report him to the Ministry of Health. Looking at the all reviews, @Rexall should replace the Dr. ASAP. He is playing with our lives.

The receptionist was the only redeeming quality. The doctor was interrupting me as I was explaining symptoms, was not understanding what I was saying, was trying to have me undress and change into a gown for my "private area" when that wasn't necessary for what I came in for. He told me that my condition is triggered by stress but was the one causing me stress. I ended up leaving very upset, and the receptionist was kind enough to sit down with me and give me some cold water.

When I was finally given a prescription, they put the wrong patient information, and I had to go back to have it re-done. They also added a cream he didn't discuss with me that was over $50. They didn't ask about my insurance. They're not attentive or respectful here.

Dr Lucy Mikhael is amazing! Such a kind, smart and patient doctor that really made me feel at ease. Would highly recommend asking for her however she is only in on Thursdays. I am happy I found Dr Lucy Mikhael!

Receptionist who works at the weekend is rude and actually cruel. She knew my daughter had 103.5 fever but she purposefully put us in the bottom just because I asked her questions.

Horrible. Would give 0 stars if I could. I couldn't breathe and knew I had a bronchial infection (med student). The doc put his stethoscope on my back (never moved it to the other 5 quadrants of my back) and told me there's not problem in my lungs. I begged for puffers and told him what he did wrong and who I was.he eventually gave me puffers and told me if it got worse try the hospital

I would give Dr Malik 0 stars. I have spent 3 hrs here waiting for walk in. It nice to see him working at his old age but he is getting paid. I waited more than 1.5 hrs to go inside. Then I waited inside now after seeing him I am waiting for my prescription. He will see other patients before he gives me the prescription. What nonsense this is. The poor girl at Reception is getting all the heat. Will never come here. Totally terrible

I will give them 0 out of 5 because they donot know how to treat patients even they are good for nothing. Receptionist doesnog know how to talk.she behave so rude with patients. Please never ever come here to visit them. They are useless

Worst clinic to come to period. Even with booked appointments you end up waiting 3hrs to be seen and when you bring it up with front desk you're file seems go to the back of the line and you end up waiting even longer. Stuff is full of excuses. Finally, when your name gets called you end up waiting some more in the examination room. It's like a production line and you get a feeling you're just a number. On top of everything they lost our health card. Overall terrible experience.

Dr. Toma and the staff at Derry Medical Clinic have always been organized, friendly and efficient. I received feedback from my tests the same day. Time and consideration for my well-being and feelings have been much appreciated. Thank you!

The receptionist literally wasn't answering.
Doctor was helping her out with computer and printer problems.
I heard couple of people waiting for more than 1 hour.
Very mismanaged and unfriendly environment

Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor in my life. The doctor made me wait 2 hours, they close at 5 and at 5: 30 he still had a number of people in the lobby. The doctor was very disrespectful, I asked him about the chest pain I was having and he told me to go get an x-ray but couldn’t tell me what I could do in the mean time to help with it. He literally told me to leave because I asked too many questions. I spent a total of 4 minutes with the doctor and that was considered too much for him. Very rude and disrespectful behaviour, I would not recommend at all. Don’t know how he’s working in the healthcare industry if he doesn’t have the patience to listen and answer some questions.

I have been visiting Derry Medical for years now. Dr. Toma and Dr Malik as well as the receptionist Anne Marie are wonderful, caring people. Thank you for the great care over the years.

Dr. Malik is very caring and professional. Longer wait time on Sundays but better tgan going to emerg.

I had every intention of coming to being my son in. However when I called to confirm the hours and if we could come in. Ann Marie (the receptionist) was so unbelievably rude.

Her entire conversation was Hi, Ya, Ya, Sure then hung up on me when I said goodbye.

If this is the first face people see when they walk in.or the first voice they need to hear on the phone. I think she will continue to make patients not want to step foot in that door.

Hands down the rudest person I have ever encountered.

When I called back to get her name, she said
“Why do you need to know”
I replied to write a complaint about how rude you were

She started raising her voice saying “how is that rude.if you said bye then I click the phone thats the end of the conversation “

Do not come before 5: 00 pm, my daughter was so tired and had a hard cough and fever and she didn't eat anything for 3 days ago after that dr Toma coming and said "no medication need" it just infection give her advil! That was very fantastic so my advice come after 5 pm to see Dr Malek he is gentleman, so friendly and understanding patient needed and not open for make just make money

Couldn't give 0 stars so here's 1. Garbage clinic. Took me months to finally get my medical records sent to a new doctor. When I finally managed to get them, they charged me $60.00 to mail them to the new doctor. 2 weeks later they arrived at my house. Spent 60 bucks to have the incompetent desk staff mail them to me.mind boggling that these are the people in charge of our health.

Nice doctors on staff, I have been a couple of times and they listen carefully and don't rush you.

I had to wait an hour just to have the door slammed in my face. I needed a sign for verifying my immunity got a volunteer position. My up to date immunization record was not good enough, don’t bother coming if you seek medical attention

Doctors are great. Staff are pleasant. Quick visits always! The pharmacy and storefront staff are always so friendly and helpful!

This happened this past Sunday. Extremely disappointed! Felt my needs were not met at all! Had a bad soar throat, ear ache, shakes and aches anything you can think of. My DR is closed on the weekends so I came here. Didn’t wait too long however when the Dr came in I told him what I felt and he checked my ears, looked inside my mouth. All he said was “it’s a common cold it will go away in 48 hours” and to take some decongestion. I told him no that this is not a cold, I don’t feel right. I left pretty disappointed considering I felt I was ignored. I ended up Going to my family Dr today and found out I have an ear infection and a strep throat and I am now on a 10 day antibiotic! So disappointed! All I ask is when your patients tell you what their feeling listento them.

I am always very satisfied with Dr Malik at the Walk-In clinic. Very attentive to details, gives clear sensible instructions, and always takes the more natural response before turning to prescription. Wish he were taking new patients as family Dr.

Went in due to a heavy cough that would not go away, I had been on puffers before due to a bronchial flair up so I thought they would check me out and renew the puffer.

During the "exam" the "doctor" listened to my breathing. He never stopped moving the stethoscope or asked me to take deep breaths. He said that the cough was being aggravated caused by mucus draining from my nose down my through which aggravated the coughing (he was correct that this was part of the problem). His medical advise was to drink lots of tea with honey?

Things didn't get better so I went to another clinic and I was prescribed a steroid nasal spray and was told to use salt water nasal flush as much as I could take. I was better in 3-4 days

Dr Touma/dr Malak are fine, they care about their patients. Staff are not friendly though. (e.g. Don't smile, etc.)

Pretty terrible staff, only person there that actually seems to try is the young male pharmacist. If you get the older male or the female, they will actually tell you things like the medication you have covered and get every week, is not covered because they don't know how to do their job and properly check. The front end is rude and very short tempered and talk to you like garbage if you ask for literally ANYTHING that requires them trying. Doctor Gordon is nice but is terrible at his profession.numerous times I asked for referrals for professional mental help, he refused, told me he can't refer me cause he doesn't know where to refer me and kept pushing medication I didn't want to be taking. Had an ankle injury and shoulder injury. Once again no help, only would push anti inflammatory and told me lots of people have to live with pain. My new doctor immediately put me in physio which is ridiculous because they have physio on site at glen derry! I now have damage in my ankle that may be irreversible due to the years I've walk in it now with dr. Gordon's order. Hours are terrible and will actually close early most days, had a point I tried coming 4 days in a row after work, all times they were supposed to be open, all 4 days the clinic was closed early. Plus I don't know any other clinic that closes for an hour in the middle of the day for lunch. And I had to look at several other clinics when looking for a new one, not one does this hour long close for lunch.
