I have retained Syed Kabir to handle my estate dispute. I am extremely satisfied with how he has represented me. Mr. Kabir has exceed my expectations for what I expected in a lawyer. His attention to detail is second to none and the fact that he will work until any hour of the night to handle things on the necessary timeline is a gift. After my first “free” consult with Haig, I provided my deposit only to be met with extremely slow service that I had to call and follow up on far too often. By the first paid meeting I had to repeat every bit of information I had originally provided as if nobody had taken any notes or written down a single word. I was provided with a mediator in training but was paying for Haig still as well. After repeating my entire case to her, I was told my spouse was in a tough spot and was unable to pay her half of the mediation fees, only to lose contact with the office almost entirely once they received my money. After over a month, all they had done for me was make a single phone call and it costed me $1000. Since then, this office has neglected my case and the last email I received telling me they’d call me tomorrow was from Mid-December. It’s now Mid-January and I never got a call. I asked if there was any funds left from my two deposits to be refunded and was met with no response. Thankfully I did not proceed with the retainer fee as it would have broken me financially to do so and be met with this lack of care and service.

UPDATE 01/30/23 - Most of my deposit was refunded. Appreciated.

Called twice to book an appointment with a lawyer and my calls are not returned even after leaving a message with secretary. Unprofessional.

Syed Kabir assisted me with a complicated and ugly estate dispute. Prior to engaging Syed's services I had been using another litigator for 2 years. There was a breach of confidence with that person and i needed to find another litigator fast. I had a wife that wore me out.derusha got us normalized to be able to continue a life apart with a minimum of conflict for the most part. Always be forthright with your lawyer so negotiations can be meaningful. Empower him/her with the wants or wishes of the partys. I and most just want to get along. Bless your hearts derusha law.
