Awesome staff, great service, beautiful building!

I would highly recommend for everyone, but especially those with young kids who are still getting used to the dentist. They have a nice play area for the little ones in a beautiful waiting room, and the staff is very, very friendly and informative.

Just switched from another dental office to here and did my first cleaning. Both the hygienist and the doctor were good. However, I was charged for a "complete exam" of $178 that was not covered by my insurance.
1). This exam is not absolutely necessary - they should have had my records from my previous dental office;
2). Even if it is necessary, they could have asked about my insurance coverage first.
I'd like to give a 3.5 star rating.rounded it up)

Great staff! Everyone was very friendly. I was ushered into a dentist chair before even sitting in the waiting room. My hygienist was very pleasant and kind throughoit my entire cleaning. The building is fairly new and kept clean.

I want to start by saying I've never written a review before and I am not one to complain easily. Overall, poor experience at this clinic and I ended up having to pay another dentist out of pocket to redo work I had done at this location. The dentist was so nice and really seemed like she cared, but ultimately I think she was inexperienced which unfortunately left me with needing more dental work. I had the dentist replace 2 fillings and the whole process was less than ideal (trouble freezing etc) resulting in discomfort during the procedure. I've never experienced a problem during dental work with any other dentist. Following this filling, I was left with a lot of pain. Many follow ups with just "let's wait and see you again to see if it gets better". Ultimately 6 months later and I still have so much pain and can't chew on that side, and another dental clinic said the fillings were poorly done and will be removing and replacing both fillings I recieved at Red Barn Dental less than 6 months prior. None of the assessment, or these procedures will be covered by my insurance because I already had work on the same teeth at Red Barn Dental recently. So ultimately I've ended with pain and now paying quite a bit out of pocket for additional work. The dentist was very nice, so I'm not saying don't go there, but if you do just be cautious and if something doesn't seem right seek a second opinion earlier than I did (6 months later)

I have been going to Red Barn Dental for the last 6+ years. After moving away from my hometown where I was familiar with my dentist, it was nerve racking to choose a place in a big city with so many options.

Their staff is super friendly and helpful. When you call their office you don’t feel like a bother or inconvenience which is how many other medical offices tend to feel.

We have had nothing but great experiences at Red Barn. Myself, my husband, our kids, both of our parents and now my grandparents parents ALL ser Dr. Mike and Dr. Cathy or someone on their team.

I have been seeing Dr. Mike for Invisalign since early 2020. He has helped me navigate the complexities of my situation as my teeth could not be straightened with orthodontics only and would require a surgical referral. He clearly laid out a plan before we got started so I knew what I was getting into, which was Invisalign…followed by corrective jaw surgery (via Dr. McGuire) …followed by more Invisalign. Covid turned our 2 ish year plan into a 3-4 year plan due to the limited OR time available for non-urgent oral surgery, but that wasn’t anyone’s fault.

I just had my jaw surgery last week and I am recovering nicely. I will be back in Dr. Mike’s care to finish off my Invisalign journey… and our course for any of my family’s other dentistry needs.:)

This place is beyond Amazing! They take their time to explain things to you. Dr. Mike jokes around and makes you feel like you are part of the family. They are honest and their work is amazing. I recommend them 100%.

They called me and told me to delete my review!? My tooth was ripping floss so I asked them to fit it, they did some stuff and said it was fixed, i went home and checked and it was not. So I left a 3 star review explaining what happened and also called them nice people. They didn’t like that so they called and told me to take it down (and kinda scolded me while they were at it). I won’t be back and don’t call me again, I’m not taking this review down. Fix it right the first time or cope with “bad” reviews, so unprofessional.

Always the best experience from start to finish. The minute you walk in the door the atmosphere and service is impeccable. From the front desk, hygienist, dentist to paying bill and saying Good Bye until next time, the warmth, professionalism, friendliness and a dash of humour make the experience completely enjoyable. Would never say I enjoy going to the dentist but will always say I enjoy going to The Red Barn. Thanks for all you do D-P Team!

Best dentist I have been to - front desk had all my information handy before my first visit, and there were no waits for both of my visits. All the staff I encountered were nice and friendly, Dr Maria S had a great calming presence and was very knowledgeable and skilled. I felt comfortable from start to finish. 100% would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new dentist!

Best dental facility in the city. The building is spotless, and the staff is very accommodating. Dr. Mike is highly knowledgeable in the field and has been stepping me through the Invisalign process. I will be a returning customer.

This was my first visit to the office, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I had a very large cavity that took a lot of work for the dentist and her assistant. I also had an existing heart racing condition and they took extra care to keep control of my situation by giving me a special type of freezing and taking extra time to explain everything. I felt very at ease to be in such capable hands, I am just so thankful to have found Dr. Cathy and her team and will definitely be a longtime client moving forward!

Highly recommend these folks. Very friendly and very professional.all the most modern tools. I love Dr Cathy and her excellent assistant who helped me on an emergency basis in Dr Cathys absence (vacation).

Appointments are always within 10 minutes upon arrival, very friendly staff and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Such a great office, went to get some fillings done everyone was too notch. Clean facilities, great staff outstanding service.

Everything went smoothly as I had expected. The clinic was on time when I arrived. They had prepared me as to what to expect! I was in and out in no time. At no time did I feel the risk of being exposed to the virus. I have been with this clinic from day one as I know they always put there patients first. Plus they have always been very very up to date on cleanness and safety.

Just had my first cleaning and x-rays in far too long. It was my first time at this clinic. Staff were amazing! From the friendly receptionist to the very kind and gentle dental hygenist. My teeth are so clean and so fresh. They answered all my questions and concerns while working quickly and efficiently. I left my old dentist because they continually "forgot their was a head attached to the teeth" and we're often rough. I am so happy I ended up at the red Barn.

I broke a cusp on my molar last night and hastily searched the best rated dentist in the area. Erin at Deschenes-Poitras did not disappoint. The service was extremely friendly, professional, informative and quick! The dentist herself was incredible, but I have to mention the hygienist. She (didn’t get her name) was so nice, and extremely cautious. They cared more about my tooth than I did. I would highly recommend this dentidt to anyone who needs dental care.

If you are low income family and do not have insurance, do not go to this clinic. Prices extremely expensive, especially for kids. They do good job but there is no flexibility, they just follow fee guide. I give one star only for this.

Always treated well by the staff at Deschenes-Poitras Dental. Always professional and courteous, and informs us all along the way during procedures, etc. If I had to say anything constructive, I just wish they would direct bill insurance companies. They always submit forms and fees right away and payment is always quick (but that depends on your insurance company).

Had a awesome experience at this dental office. I had 6 fillings done. I was a bit apprehensive because this was my first time having dental work done here. The staff were very professional and caring, the work done was in a gentle fashion. They made me feel comfortable. I am happy to have found a place like this where I can go to have dental work done.

After our dental hygienist retired we were looking for a new office. A friend said that Dr Mike and his team are amazing. We were not dissapointed. Everyone that was part of the team was next level. Both our appointments were schedule on the same day and at the same time. We have a 2 year old son and he was kept busy with their huge toy room and play house.

All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. The waiting and reception areas are cozy-makes you feel like you are visiting friends. Dr Mike was great at laying various treatment plans and costs. Emily the hygienist is fantastic. She made sure I was comfortable and relaxed-a tall order! Instead of dreading going to the dentist I am actually looking forward to going back and having the work done and a beautiful smile again!

I have been a patient of Dr Cathy and Dr Mike for a few years and had various treatments to include minor surgery. The entire team is very friendly, accommodating to personal circumstances, professional and ethical. The pleasant experience starts right from the warm greetings at the reception. They absolutely care about the well being of their patients. Although they have hundreds of patients, and growing, the Team (Doctors, Hygienists, Reception) somehow remember personal life events (vacations, celebrations, kids.) that I had shared in previous conversations which shows care, empathy, active listening.and more importantly a personal touch that goes well beyond the business side and quality of treatment. These personal touches and care earns them full points for quality of service (besides the quality of treatment of course). I have recommended them and will continue to do so.

We love Deschênes-Poitras Dental Centre. The location is perfect for us and the office is super nice and kid-friendly, plus wait time is minimal. The staff are very kind & considerate especially Dr. Mike and Dr. Cathy who are excellent at explaining procedures to the kids. The appointment scheduling and process of payments are efficient.
Dr. Mike did my daughter's Invisalign which worked out great. His referral for wisdom teeth removal was excellent - a great experience, as far as surgeries go. He also referred me to an amazing TMJ specialist that I cannot thank him enough for.
We are extremely grateful to have Deschênes-Poitras in our area.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Cathy and her staff this morning. From the moment I entered, the front staff were so welcoming and efficient. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth and did the X-rays was awesome. So kind and compassionate. Dr. Cathy was so interested in me and was lovely to deal with. I highly recommend this dental practice. You will not be disappointed.
